Break-In at Romney Headquarters
Thursday, January 24th, 2008Ft. Lauderdale, FL—
The Boston headquarters of the Romney campaign were broken into early today for the second time in four months. There was no indication of political motivation and the suspects were arrested at the scene. They were attempting to steal computer equipment and were nabbed around 1 A.M. During the first burglary last September, laptop computers and a television set were stolen.
Press Secretary Erin Fehrnstrom expressed gratitude:
“We’re grateful to the Boston police for their rapid response. They answered a call for assistance from our own security, and apprehended the suspects at the scene.”
Governor Romney is preparing for tonight’s debate in Boca Raton—he will hold a rally before meeting his rivals at Florida Atlantic Universty.
