Palin to Greta: “I See Nothing but Good Things in Store on November 4th.”

OCALA, FL –-The Palin family sat down with Greta van Susteren on the Straight Talk Two last night outside of Harrisburg, PA. Husband Todd, 13-year-old Willow, 7-year-old Piper, and her 6-month-old son Trig joined Governor Palin after the family went trick or treating.
Palin told van Susteren at this stage in the campaign she is not really talking to her running mate about strategy because “we both are so confident that we are on the right path.”
She added that the GOP ticket is in the underdog position, but that “is the place we need to be.”
Palin is “confident” about a win on Election Day and is looking forward to the McCain-Palin administration’s first 100 days in office. “So from there, the first 100 days, how are we going to kick in the plan that will get this economy back on the right track and really shore up the strategies that we need over in Iraq and Iran to win these wars?”
Palin added, “I think the momentum is on our side. Again, we’re hitting our stride and — the campaign itself and the message gathering that second wind that is needed right at this most appropriate time. I see nothing but good things in store on November 4th.”
Van Susteren and Palin also discussed uniting the country after the bruising election, national security issues, and illegal immigration.
Palin said she knows how to bring the nation together if she becomes Vice-President even though the election will be close and half the country will have voted for Barack Obama. She stressed that she would start “by not discrediting or invalidating someone because of a position” they have that is different than hers and that it is important to find “middle ground” on issues.
“I think it bodes well, too, where we’re going here with our family, that’s quite diverse, different politics all mixed into our family.” She said as she glanced at husband Todd, “That’s been a good, solid foundation for me, understanding how maybe we disagree on some of the particulars on an issue. We don’t have to be screaming at each other, though. Let’s find a way to work together and solve a problem. That’s what we’ve done in our family and in my businesses and also in governance.”
Van Susteren asked Palin if she was called on to fill the role of President and there was a national security emergency what her initial reaction would be.
“You assemble your national security team right then. And of course, everybody’s always going to be standing by, ready to assist,” Palin said. “But you do not blink when you have to make a decision to defend on the home front, to defend American lives.’
Palin was also asked about illegal immigration—a topic Palin never brings up on the stump, but was one of the most talked about issues during the primary season. Illegal immigration is hardly discussed at all by any of the candidates now, but Palin did talk about it with an orchard owner yesterday. In the interview she was much more clear about where she stands on the issue.
“We’ve got to secure the borders, and we can’t be considering this broad range of amnesty that some would want. We’ve got to secure the borders and prove to the American people that the federal government is serious about this, and it’s got to be a comprehensive approach to dealing with the immigration challenge that we have — securing the borders,” Palin said. “And McCain has a great comprehensive approach that he wants to take to this. It includes dealing humanely, too, with the 12 million or 13 million illegal immigrants that we have today also. But until we secure the borders, I don’t think Americans are even going to believe that we’re serious about fixing some of the problems that are just inherent with this challenge of so many illegal immigrants here.”
She said it is one of the issues that is important for politicians to cross party lines and work in a bi-partisan fashion, “Illegal immigration, though, is a perfect example of how these parties had better start working together, the D’s and the R’s, get it together if they’re serious about addressing the problem of illegal immigration. It’s not a Republican or a Democrat problem. It’s all of America’s issue.”
In a lighter moment during the interview, van Susteren asked Todd Palin if his wife is tough.
“She’s tough. I’ve learned to just get out of her way when she’s on a mission,” Mr. Palin answered.

I was waiting to hear an answer and there wasn’t one. I keep listening to both her and McCain giving their speeches and they are both talking in very general terms about what they what to do but I’m not hearing much on the HOW they are going to do it.

Cornyn, a mild-mannered Texas Republican, saw a loophole in the bill that he thought would allow felons to pursue a path to citizenship.
McCain called Cornyn’s claim “chicken-s—,” according to people familiar with the meeting, and charged that the Texan was looking for an excuse to scuttle the bill. Cornyn grimly told McCain he had a lot of nerve to suddenly show up and inject himself into the sensitive negotiations.
“F— you,” McCain told Cornyn, in front of about 40 witnesses”.
Now that’s what she has to look forward to should we as a country make another big mistake and put McCain and Palin in the White House. There’s a book named “Just How Stupid Are We” (the truth about the American voter) , if you are thinking of voting the McCain/Palin ticket, do the country a big favor and read the book before you vote. black alumni identify with our common American culture more than they
value the color of their skin. ‘I hoped that these findings would help me
conclude that despite the high degree of identification with whites as a
result of the educational and occupational path that black Princeton alumni
follow, the alumni would still maintain a certain level of identification with
the black community. However, these findings do not support this possibility.’

Michelle Obama does not look into a crowd of Obama supporters and see

lady that would do untold damage to race relations in this country in a

I don’t hear anyone that makes a good arguement for Obama. How can all his supporters look past all of his ties to very radical people? Not just 1 or 2, but several. I do not make very much money, in fact I usually worry about how I will have enough money to buy food for my family. My husband works hard and I work hard. We are very proud people who do not believe it is okay for the government to take from those who they consider to have too much and give to those who they feel do not have enough. Why does anyone believe that is the job of the government? Please help me to understand and make me believe that there is some logical good reason you would support Obama.
May God continue to bless Sarah Palin and her family. It’s wonderfully refreshing how she reflects on her family while discussing uniting the country. Understanding, honoring, and realizing the importance of the family model is useful for leaders. Unfortunately, and sadly, many in our society are denied this perspective and may not realize it’s importance. However, when I see and hear it as I did in this interview, it jumps out at me and reinforces the credibility of the individual.
G– help us, the world will truly see us for the Obama-Nation we may become.

If your voting for CHANGE, be careful what kind of CHANGE your voting for. I believe Obama will take us to a socialist Country. “SPREAD THE WEALTH”. Why is it he doesn’t want his middle name mentioned? Look at his ties with ACORN, which has put us in this financial crisis. Where are his college records? Who paid for his college?
McCain is a poor choice also for a number of reasons, but I believe he is the least of the two EVILS. He will be a one term President. I’ll take my chances with him and pray to God we have a better choice next time.
Just keep this in mind. Obama is the most liberal Senator EVER! Biden is the third most liberal Senator EVER! So, again, be careful who you are voting for.

Obama and his hit squad are very worried by internal polling, and they are out in full force along with the Obama media trying to convince McCain supporters that this race is over. Jennifer - you asked why people are supporting obama. One reason is RACE, another is PEER PRESSURE/ INTIMIDATION, and another is PURE IGNORANCE. People are naive to the fact that the mainstream media has been lying, spinning, ands sweeping obamas dirt under the carpet, while the same media trumps up trivial things about Palin , and McCain. The media is predominantly LIBERAL in their ideology, and they are in no way fair in their coverage. Bias has become disgustingly obvious. Dont give up. The reasons I am voting for barack are very simple. Number one when dealing with leaders from other countries things can get hostile. I don’t want someone who is known for having a “temper” at this stage we need someone with a level head. Having a temper and doing something stupid is one thing when it effects just you but when it effects a country, very dangerous. Number 2 after everything is over we need someone who will unite us not divide. Mccain’s campaign has been divisive and he is not the same person from 2000. I find it amazing the same tactics that mccain dismissed and were used against him he now embraces. We are americans first no matter if you are republican or democrats AMERICANS FIRST. We will need to come together after this is all said and done, to help restore this great nation. Going for barack if he would lose although I would be disappointed, would rally around mccain. Can the same thing be said about the republicans out there?

I love greta and Mccain/Palin. They are the best choice for America. We need a president who is for all americans. This is not high school where you pick and choose who can hang out with cool kids and bully the ones that dont belive in or do what you do. Obama I feel is the cool kid that all the girls like because he is charming and have a way with words. He has no knowledge or care about what will happen the this country as a whole.
