STEUBENVILLE, OH — Forget ghosts. John McCain and his allies say what Americans really should be afraid of this Halloween is the prospect of undivided Democratic rule.
“Pelosi, Reid, Obama: the tax trifecta from hell!” Sen. Lindsey Graham said during his introduction of the GOP nominee at a morning rally in Hanoverton. “Don’t let it happen!”
For his part, McCain said Americans are too smart to take what he called annual Democrat scare tactics regarding social security.
“It’s Halloween. So what do the Democrats do? Every four years they run out and they try to scare seniors by saying that Republicans are going to take away their Social Security or we’re gonna take away Medicare,” McCain said at his first of four rallies in the Buckeye State. “(But) Americans have wised up. I am going to protect social security and I am going to protect medicare and I am not going to let this congress tax away your retirement savings.”
Former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani also joined McCain for the early event and also took aim at Democrats–mocking recent statements by Obama and Biden that Republicans are using to argue that the Dem ticket is shifting it’s definition of middle class.
“His opponent is going to raise your taxes. Or he going lower your taxes. Or he is going to raise them and lower them. Or lower them and raise them. And he can’t figure out at what number,” Giuliani joked. “They cant even their stories straight because it is a story. It’s a flim flam. They are going to raise your taxes and they are going to raise government spending and that would be a disaster.”
During McCain second campaign stop at a rally in Steubenville, the GOP nominee had his own dark humor for the holiday.
“Doug the Undertaker!” McCain exclaimed, as he read off posters in the crowd. “A few Democrats may need to see you, Doug, after this election is over.”

(From yahoo answers)Obama is not legally a US Natural-born citizen according to the law on the books at the time of his birth, which falls between “12/24/52 to 11/13/1986.” Presidential office requires a natural-born citizen if the child was not born to 2 US Citizen parents, which of course is what exempts McCain though he was born in the Panama Canal. US Law very clearly stipulates “If only one parent was a US Citizen at the time of your birth, that parent must have resided in the United States for at least 10 years, at least 5 of which had to be after the age of 16.” Obama’s father was not a US Citizen and Obama’s mother was only 18 when Obama was born, which means though she had been a US Citizen for 10 years, (or citizen perhaps because of Hawaii being a territory) the mother fails the test for being so for at least 5 years **prior to** Obama’s birth, but *after* age 16. It doesn’t matter *after*. She was not old enough to qualify her son for automatic US Citizenship. At most, there were only 2 years elapsed since his mother turned 16 at the time of Obama’s birth when she was 18 in Hawaii. His mother would have needed to have been 16+5= 21 years old, at the time of Obama’s birth for him to have been a natural-born citizen. Obama was already 3 years old at that time his mother would have needed to have waited to have him as the only US Citizen parent. Obama instead should have been naturalized, but even then, that would still disqualify him from holding the office

For what its worth here’s my take on the Republican Party. I believe the Reps see this election as their last viable opportunity to win the Presidency until the Party completely remakes itself. Considering the demographic shifts that are taking place in our country i.e. the browning of America, the Republican Party will become less and less relevant. They must embrace people of color. I mean look at the difference in the crowds at these rallies. At Obama rallies the crowd is very diverse with people of all colors substantially represented. Contrast that with McCain’s and especially Palin’s. Their crowds could be confused with a Klan rally. If the Republican Party does not do some serious outreach to people of color, its toast.

The Republicans have run their last several campaigns based on fear. Up until recently it was terrorisn, but after crying wolf too many times that no longer sells. When terrorism didn’t work for McCain, he switched to telling people to be scared of “socialism.” That was too obvious a lie for most voters, so he had to abandon that. Now all that is left for the most poorly run campaign in history is to criticize their opponent for what they themselves have done so incompetently. What a loser McCain has become!

I find it scary that the first quote in the article references Hell. I think that is totally inappropriate. Democrats and Republicans may disagree on policy, but suggesting that Democrats come from Hell and thus ally with Satan is just repugnant.

Obama really scares me. We are now beginning to get an insight to what we can expect from an Obama administration? The elimination of reporters from The Washington Times, N.Y. Post and Dallas Morning News, three newspapers that recently endorsed John McCain, illegal investigation of Joe the Plumber by Ohio Democrats, and chastising the Florida TV station for asking pertinent questions of Joe Biden are just examples of fairness being twisted to meet his needs. Not much of a fair and balanced approach by Obama and his party. We are seeing an ACORN / Democrat attempt to get multiple votes from the same individual? We already are seeing fraudulent, out of state voters, taking place. Surprise, show me the evidence! Your wild claims about an Obama administration taxing everything is laughable. So far, the only tax increases Obama has suggested is on individuals who earn over $200K or couples who earn more than $250K and an increase in the capital gains tax for those earning over $250K. That’s less than 5% of wage earners. The other 95% of Americans will realize a tax decrease with numerous credits for working Americans, college tuition, healthcare, job creation, senior citizens earning less than $50K, etc.

Also that his campaign manager has been one of the largest big oil executives, plus many of their donations come form big oil..
But today mccain runs out and says that Obama is working with big oil. That’s so if someone raises the point that mccain is trying to help big oil, this message is then out to help confuse potential voters into thinking maybe it’s obama. OMG! lol. If this election were not so critical, this would really be funny. The Republicans need a reality check. Fear and Anger have been the primary and constant themes of the McCain/Palin Campaign, not the Obama/Biden campaign. McCain/Palin have incredible imaginations, but unfortunately little grasp on reality. We are one country of many people, why does the Republican campaign find it necessary to pit American citizens against other American citizens and create schisms.
I have always vote Republican, but have not this time because I want a leader that wants to work together with the citizens of our proud country and also expects the citizens of this country to work together and assume responsibility to make the USA an even better place to live. There is no room for racism, prejudice, etc.

With respect to choosing the president, I’m not a partisan – I’ve voted Democrat and Republican almost equally since 1972, and I can point to both good and bad decisions made by presidents of both parties. However, as far as Congress goes, Republicans may be better at promoting an ideology than at actual governing. Since Word War 1, with the exception of a couple of one term (two year) stints, we’ve given control of both houses of Congress to the Republicans exactly twice – once for fourteen years leading up to the Great Depression, and once for a dozen years leading up to the current economic crisis. In both cases, they started out with a Democrat in the White House, then later gained a Republican President as well.
During that same time, Democrats had control of both houses for a combined 54 (so far) years, and for 32 of those years a Democrat was also in the White House. If, like me, you believe the United States of America is a great country, you might consider that the Democrats have had a lot to do with making it what it is today. I believe the Republicans may play a more constructive role as a minority party focused on ideology, and being the spoiler, rather than as a majority party that needs to be able to compromise for effective governance of such a large, diverse country as this one.

With the great Russian bear rearing his ugly head, Israel ready to attack Iran at a moment’s notice, and Pakistan having trouble sealing the Afghan border because their nation’s interest is to watch the Indians who they despise more than anything. Americans need to put emotion aside and vote for what’s best for our beloved nation. We need to vote for the most qualified, most honest man for the job of Commander-in-Chief –Not someone who continually hides who he truly is….We need proved leadership in these tough times. (From yahoo answers)Obama is not legally a US Natural-born citizen according to the law on the books at the time of his birth, which falls between “12/24/52 to 11/13/1986.” Presidential office requires a natural-born citizen if the child was not born to 2 US Citizen parents, which of course is what exempts McCain though he was born in the Panama Canal. US Law very clearly stipulates “If only one parent was a US Citizen at the time of your birth, that parent must have resided in the United States for at least 10 years, at least 5 of which had to be after the age of 16.” Obama’s father was not a US Citizen and Obama’s mother was only 18 when Obama was born, which means though she had been a US Citizen for 10 years, (or citizen perhaps because of Hawaii being a territory) the mother fails the test for being so for at least 5 years **prior to** Obama’s birth, but *after* age 16. It doesn’t matter *after*. She was not old enough to qualify her son for automatic US Citizenship. At most, there were only 2 years elapsed since his mother turned 16 at the time of Obama’s birth when she was 18 in Hawaii. His mother would have needed to have been 16+5= 21 years old, at the time of Obama’s birth for him to have been a natural-born citizen. Obama was already 3 years old at that time his mother would have needed to have waited to have him as the only US Citizen parent. Obama instead should have been naturalized, but even then, that would still disqualify him from holding the office
