McCain to appear on SNL
Who knew that Saturday Night Live would become the go-to place for the GOP ticket this year?
John McCain is scheduled to appear on Saturday Night Live this weekend, the second time he has hit the late night comedy show this year.
He last appeared on SNL on May 17 when he participated in two skits–one a faux address to the nation where he touted his being “really, really old” as an important reason to elect him and another on the Weekend Update segment where he called on Democrats to keep the primary race going as long as possible.
Runningmate Gov. Sarah Palin made her own guest appearance on the show two weeks ago.
No details on the nature of the skit this weekend or official comment from the campaign yet.
Actor Ben Affleck, an Obama supporter, will be officially hosting the show.

Bet he is going to play Bush…
Maybe he will rip the mask of and here comes Bush
Figures, the whole campaign has been a joke.
Well I see the future of our country if Obama wins. There are companies around here wanting to sell, families with two incomes saying one is going to stop working to avoid his taxes, the stock market waiting to see because if he wins people will sell off to avoid capital gains. Yes I see just how his plan is working, no longer will we want to become successful because he will take it from us, no longer will we hire as many because we can not afford to, no longer will we be able to buy as much, it will cost too much, no more vacations as gas will be too high, but do not worry, Obama will still be going to the Islands, Congress will still be spending that pork,(higher now than ever by $212 billion), but as good old Barney Frank said, they’ll find more rich people to tax. The problem is, just what will rich be by the time Obama gets threw? $40,000? $20,000? Or what ever you can get paid on what few jobs that will be left? There will be plenty of people to do your job so you wont want to get sick, or take a vaction, or argue over a pay cut, or say you want overtime for working those few hours over. No you will be glad you have a job because there will be plenty of people out there waiting to take it.

I would prefer that Sen McCain NOT give the left and SNL the satisfaction of his appearance. He does not owe that to them, or his supporters. There is little doubt that these morons will portray him as an outsider to their viewership, with little respect for all the good that he is. SNL will not recognize the qualified, decent, humble, honest man Sen. McCain is. He will be wasting his time with SNL. I stopped watching that ridiculous show many years ago. Put your time to better use, and get ready for the surge forward. America has never been more ready for John McCain, than she is right now. The glory and world respect that was once ours, will be born again with Sen McCain in my White House! God Bless! Go get ‘em!
Senator McCain has great sense of humor! His speech at the New York Fundraising dinner was hilarious! Can’t wait to see him this weekend on SNL!
Make sure every point is made about Obamas connections to socialism, and Marxism. Show the people that he is dangerous for the country.
They will not be able to redo this election !!
McCain gave several grants to Khalidi while he was on the board of the Independent Republican Institute. McCain was the head of this committee that gave money, $448,000 dollars to Khalidi to study Palitinians in the middle east.
…and George Bush will star as the McCain impersonator.
This is great give McCain all the time you can because he should be the next President of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
I think SNL has been funny even though unfair. That being said, John McCain go on there but if that nut job Franken gives you a skit you’re not comfortable with don’t do it. You won’t lose any votes for standing up for yourself.
I thought that i just sent a message. This is great that McCain is going to be on SNL give him all the time you can, because he is going to be the next President of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
No!!!! Don’t do it!!!! Unless you’re as Bomb as you were at Alfred E. Smith dinner.
WHO WANT TO WATCH OLD MAN
No!!! Don’t do it!!! Unless you’re as Bomb as you were at Alfred E. Smith dinner.
Good for McCain! SNL owes him a final positive shot at success… or maybe he could just slap Tina Fey around a bit.
Fun! I wonder what he’ll be doing.
Would be even more interesting if Palin returns as well. Have a REAL skit with Tina Fey. Maybe it’ll depend on how 30 Rock does tonight.
I noticed on the web page with the SNL and Mccain coverage also has an advertisement stating Joe Biden has an IQ of 146. The same company has the ad changed to Sarah Palin has an IQ of 116…what gives?
I did a search for Sarah Palins’s IQ and most say it is 120 to 125 or over because of her experience : college, governorship etc would take at least that…
Why would Fox run an unfounded ad that derates a conservative candidate this close to election and also lifts her opponent to make him look so much sharper?
mc 2008
snl is a joke
mister john mccain should no go to SNL……… They are a joker.
Senator John mccain is very Important person, to be in SNL…… they are a Joke…….
Never should go to SNL. they are nothing but a Group of Joker.
Atlas will shrug.
Hope they give him a halloween mask–he’s so UGLY!
I can’t believe that he would lower him self to the level of SNL. They are a bunch of liberal wack jobs, yet he is going to clown around with them while they make fun of him. And to have Ben Affleck as the host give me a break!!! He is the most liberal of them all! UGH, has he no respect for himself, or the party?
I can’t believe that McCain has sunken as low as SNL. Does he not realize that they are a bunch of liberal wack jobs who are just making fun of him??? And to have Ben Affleck as a host of all people. McCain needs to have a little more respect for himself and the party he represents. I am fed up with modern concervativism, what ever happened to the ideas that Regan had? Regan is rolling over in his grave. God HELP US!!!
If I am his handler, he will stay away from any joke show at this serious moment.
I hope the outcome of it is good for Obama.

Lie much, loser? Why yes, yes you do. Nearly the entire country, even the far left wing kooks at the Daily Koz, know that this is a bunch of bull—-.

ANOTHER LAST DITCH EFFORT.
MACCAIN HAS FIGURED IT OUT (SO HIS ADVISORS) THAT HE HAS NOTHING TO LOSE, BECAUSE HE HAS ALREADY LOST. SO THIS IS LIKE THROWING A DART IN THE DARK.
IN THIS TIMES, THIS COUNTRY NEEDS A FUTURE LEADER WITH A SENSE OF HUMOR INSTEAD OF A SENSE OF REDISTRIBUTION. GO MCCAIN/PALIN
McCain should not stoop so low.
Palin is a GIMMICK. McCain picked Palin as a gimmick to get more votes, SNL picked Palin as a gimmick for more ratings. Palin picked ‘joe the plumber’as a gimmick for more applause. The 8 year old boy pallin’ around with Ayers, gimmick. New born baby, changing his birth certificate, gimmick.McCain’s entire platform is one BIG gimmick. Now McCain is his own Gimmick. If Palin looked like Greta, he would not be on SNL. (For your Halloween pleasure visualize…Greta in a bikini, oh the horror)

Well, he’s been campaigning just as hard or harder than Obama, hasn’t missed a step. Didn’t take a Hawaiian vacation in the middle of primaries. So stamina wise Obama has nothing on him. McCain is to Bush as Obama is to Ayers leftist radical views covered with BS. Plus McCain has a better sense of humor than Obama and a thicker skin. I don’t see McCain’s people digging into a citizens private records because he asked a simple question. Regardless that Obama had nothing, possibly, to do with why someone tapped into Joe’s records, this is the type of behavior Obama instills in people. McCain instills resilience and pride.
Are you lefters the ones hired by Obama’s campaign that go around Bashing the Americans for McCain on every blog?
The words desperate and pathetic come to mind.
The only way this guy can get attention is putting himself on a comedy show where everyone will be laughing AT him, not WITH him.
Gooooooooooo-Baaaaaaaaaaa-mmmmmmmmmmm-aaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!
Excellent,I have really grown to appreciate McCains ideas and sense of country.
Also , he has a great sense of humor and is not afraid to laugh even at himself.
Obama was on there during the primaries dueing a halloween skit and all he did was wear a mask of himself!
How revealing is that?
Showing his real self, he hides behind his own mask.
What a self important jerk.
Thanks SNL also for making Joe Biden and Jack Murtha look like the idiots they are.

Just goes to show that McCain/Palin are not intimidated by anything, not even SNL that’s full of right wing nut jobs. Now Obama wants to quell the masses on all of his HYPE for the last 2 years.
Crickee he has been a blow hole from the jump. But all of his masses have only heard one thing as his highness has jet setted around the nation telling them they are in for free treats. Ask not what you can do for your country, ask what can your country do for you. Tito the builder has it right about being thrown crumbs from the dems. Then again there are lots of people that want their crumbs and everybody elses as well. “Cheese with those crumbs.” But beware now he wants those crumbs back.
McCain/Palin 2008 and beyond!!!!!!
I saw the skit they said it was written by Al Franken a dem running for Senate seat in Minn. and it was trying to poke fun at McCains ads. Ben Afleck a million dollar democrat and serious Obama supporter will be hosting the show. After watching the skit I am thinking it was actually pretty good haven’t seen anything that good on SNL for years. Not since the I Need More Cow Bell. See the thing is Obama is a rock star or just a super star and everyone is so excited about his star power and how pretty he sings after his concert is over and the smoke and mirrors are wiped away and if he wins everyone will see just how much they were suckered into his lies he knows it, his other Dems in office know it they are hoping everyone is drinking his koolaide. The skit talks about universal health care for the whole universe. How Barack plays basketball and Charles Barkley plays basketball. Anyways in a way it is funny. Obama does make so many promises he cant and wont keep that he might as well say he wants coverage for the universe. Charles Barkley is a star so is Obama and that is why people are consumed. I dont have the money its going to cost us to go to a Rock Obama show maybe I can ask Madonna for help. Wake up people snap out of it Obama is the Pide Piper and he is leading you all out of town and into the water. The sad part is those who dont follow will pay for your mistake.

McCain/Palin 2008!
If Obama will sit down with terriosts is McCain and Palin any better being on SNL?
Strange how parties differ: The Domocrates do not want Obama to to on SNL at this time, the Republicans want McClain to go there. When will the GOP realize that it is the time for being serious. Wake up McCain
If Al Franken involved he McCain should not appear
Democratic talking point blah, blah, blah, democratic talking point blah, blah, blah, clog the blog, blah, blah, blah, democratic talking point blah, blah, blah, hope, blah, blah, blah, change blah, blah, blah democratic talking point blah,blah,blah…..
I see the the first lady Cindy McCain just as beautyfull supporting and standing by her husband the SEEN with her “baby daddy” Her husband Obama…..GO McCAIN> McCAIN
At least John McCain knows how to get our attention without spending millions to do so.
boy for all of the complaining about Barack being a celebrity they are surely making a lot of appearances on TV. You cant have it both ways! Go Obama!
McCaint may think this is a joke==== but it’s sadly appropriate
When you have nothing to apologize for you can face these clowns and they look more foolish.
Just as foolish as the “elite” media for attacking McCain/Palin. I have always felt that if my competitors are obcessed with talking about me then I must be onto something. McCain has them scared and they can’t handle it. Foolishly, they think this is a win for them and in the end McCain WINS!
This would be only the secind time in ten years I watch SNL. The other was when Sarah Palin was on it.
Go McCain ….. We as a nation forget that the candidates are real people ….. they have a sense of humor, a love for their family (unless you are Obama and let your family live in poverty while you are a millionaire!), they do have feelings and are trying to make this nation the best it can be (or at least we hope that is there intention).
The problems we are facing are great and no single man or woman is going to wave a wand and make it all go away. You can throw all the money in the world at the problem and you can’t bury it. We as a nation of AMERICANS not republican or democrats need to help our won families and neighbors and let the economy run its course. The real problem is in the 30’s there were lines of people waiting for ANY job they could get. To work as hard as they had to to provide for their family. John McCain is this type of person, he has given more of himself for this country than most of us ever will. People today stand in line to see what they can be handed. What can the government do for ME. Obama is running on the ideology of “I can fix it and make your life wonderful”. Just make those rich people, who have worked so hard to be educated or get a small business up and going, pay for your food, gas, heat, apartment, mortgage, health care, etc…. Makes me not want to go to work everyday or pay my mortgage either…think about it.
McCain is hard working he is truelly FOR THE LITTLE PEOPLE. I can’t wait to see him on SNL and see his lighter side. It is better to laugh than to cry so McCain please make us laugh, we all need it right now. I will be watching.
Maybe McCain should change his line of work. He is pretty funny. Comedian-yes, President-R U Kidding me?
LIGHTEN UP, PEOPLE - ITS CALLED E N T E R T A I N M E N T. GET YOUR HEADS OUT OF YOUR @$$ AND LAUGH A LITTLE.
LIGHTEN UP PEOPLE. ITS CALLED E N T E R T A I N M E N T. GET YOUR HEADS OUT OF YOUR BUTTS AND LAUGH!!!!!!!!!!
A man that can kick butt, survive 5 years of torture and still has a sense of humor can handle the Presidency. This Democrat is voting Republican this year. thank God for finally a pro life ticket!
Why hasn’t someone challenged Obama about what he means by “Fundamentally change the way America works” Socialism? Welfare state? what does this statement mean?????????
All that means in McCain will get to have some fun, and make fun of himself, and just have a great time. However in the fear it might win votes, the democrats at NBC and cast of SNL will have several comments and skits of their own, pro-obama, or bashing McCain.
McCain will do Great!
And People are finally starting to get the message about Obama’s magical mythical taxes.
Hurray!!
People who want Hand Outs and Welfare will Vote Obama!
People who want our Businesses to Grow and our Nation to Grow will Vote McCain!!
Some of us want a Job to go to!
For those of us who pay taxes, this is Obama math.
I’ll give you a 500 tax credit. (a check, a hand out)
Then I’m not renewing the old tax cuts, and you get to pay back in 2,500.
Slick, huh!
The Middle Class See Obama Coming,
And we’re Voting McCain!!
“Laughter is the best medicine” McCain has a great sense of humor, so I am sure it will be great. Anything is better than watching BO’s continual speal of lies.
Is there some “Stupid Response/Post Generator” you people use? These posts are rife with odd grammar, poor spelling (”threw” when it should be “through”, etc) and some that contain the type of broken English my relatives used when they came to America…”McCain good man, he too good for SNL, they joke”. This will be interesting…If he comes out okay, with a good skit and looks comfortable and likable, he will have almost as many viewers as Obama had to pay millions for with this infomercial. And considering likability is big right now, it might have a better affect than thirty minutes of fruity background music and the same lame talking points. GO for it John….
Don’t think it is too presidential. Yes, during the primaries but now? Do people really decide how to vote based on SNL skids?
He was funny when he sang Striesand on SNL years ago.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WeocOXQx_iU
I understand that McCain will be dressing in drag to do his Sarah Palin impersonation………
LOL… oh you fox reporters you…
Where is the “candidate shouldn’t be on SNL” where is the “they’ve been unfair to McCain campaign”
haha and there goes Johnny!!!
I say he goes and does a skit with Tina Fey. Hey who knows maybe he will FINALLY admit to making the wrong choice in picking Palin and instead should have taken Tina.
H
Obama is such a celebrity…oh wait, it’s McCain going on SNL? Hypocrisy at its finest!
You Go Senator McCain!!!You have the best and most important supporter on your side…God. He is with you and for HIM, money is not an obstacle, nor lies, dirty tricks, fraudulent votes, terrorist friends or the lop sided media.
God Bless you and your campain. Thank you for standing for what is right and telling the truth. May you have the same victory that Gideon had.

Sarah Palin did well. Doubt that McCain will do as well.
Even if he does, my vote is already gone.
He should race back to Arizona tho because it looks like his some state is tired too and about to go rogue (like his VP pick)….
The WHOLE Republican party is FULL of NUTTERS !!!
And Palin is their Queen.
It’s so funny to hear Republicans say that they have ’stopped’ watching ‘left’ or ‘liberal’ media sources of all kinds ‘years ago’ because they are offended by them. That is the dumbest, most ignorant admission of narrow-mindedness I’ve ever heard. Who would openly admit that they are ill-informed by one heavily biased source for their news and opinions?
Ug. It won’t matter soon though, thank God. President Obama will be inaugerated in January and you’ll all have to sit around and pout and stew in it as he turns the country around and you’re all proven to be what you are, a bunch of rich cheapskates who dont want to pay more taxes so kids can get healthcare and go to better schools…
OBAMA O8
I really wish he wouldn’t do this. I really like McCain and it will bother me to see him treated disrespectful as they did Palin. McCain is a Hero and should be treated as such. I hate SNL and will never watch it again.
I didn’t know McCain could stay up that late….
He’s doing everything to loose like a dog..Go Obama, you deserve the win
I can’t wait. His economic plan is hillarious, so I can wait to hear him when he’s trying to be funny.
what a shame that John McCain and Sarah Palin will stop at nothing to show how “plastic” and “unrealistic” and “inconsiderate” they and their economic policies and every other policy issue on their political manifesto have been. They shamelessly parade and are still parading “alias Joe the Plumber” as the corner stone of their economic policies. Now we have found out that Joe the Plumber is a fake plumber and owes the state some huge amount in taxation as a result of Bush’s economic policies which of course John McCain and Palin are advocating. They are willing to use the “fake Joe the Plumber” to distort a vital economic policy which obviously will benefit all real Joe the Plumbers out there. Republicans should stop fooling the electorate. We now know better. History shows election after election Republicans always rely on politics of fear to win elections. They never discuss or act on the issues that are of importance to the greater majority Americans. Therefore, the electorate has come to the conclusion that the Republican party is a party of special interests and the opportuned few. Sarah Palin shamelessly labels Obama’s economic policy of giving taxed break to the middle class which has been squeezed economically beyond measure, a socialised agenda, yet she did not hesitate to share the collective wealth received from oil companies among Alaskans. Was Palin practicing socialism when she stated on the record that the collective wealth from oil companies has to be shared among Alaskans. McCain and Palin are no mavericks. They are nothing but two opportuned racist plastic duo who do not deserve to lead a country so diverse, a country so in need of a new direction both at home and abroad. Neither McCain and Palin have not shown any intent or ability to sooth our bleeding international wound. They are too poised to go to war. Their antagonistic poise will continually throw this country at loggerheads with the international community. Enough of the wars. Enough of the international ranchor. This nation and its citizen deserve better. Our strength is greater when we exert leadership void of intimidation or antagonist. Domestically, McCain and Palin, have shown their leadership will be disastrous for our economic well being. Enough of economic boom for the wealthy and well connected will the middle and the bottom receive the trickle down. The middle class is the backbone of this economy. McCain cannot understand it because neither him nor his wife have ever been in need so much so that a little relief from the government will go long way. They are throwing every kitchen sink imaginable. Every cough and every word Obama has said in the presence of any one not approved by the plastic mavericks of the republican party is combed through with the finest comb hoping that one will stick. The truth is that no matter how much they try, if providence says that middle America needs a break as Obama is advocating, they surely will have it . So far their kitchen sinks have been hitting them straight in their face. The electorate is speaking loud and clear. They need a break even if it must come from the government. They stood by and watch their hard earned life saving vaporize, the kids future in a bleak, food disappearing from their tables and they
know the policy that speaks to those needs. They know how deeply it has hurt them to loose dear ones to a senseless war and to still have them in harms way. They are crying out loud, enough is enough.
Never again should their children be sent out to fight wars of ideology. They are taking their destiny and their future back. God bless America! Let every vote
unt!! Let every voice be heard!!!
