Tito the Builder Joins Palin on the Stump

LEESBURG, VA –-Sarah Palin brought a guest along to her rally this morning, but it wasn’t a country star or a television personality. However, he is known by his first name: Tito the Builder.
Tito Munoz, who owns a construction company in Virginia, has been part of Palin’s stump speech for about a week since the McCain campaign discovered him three days before that at a rally for the top of the ticket in Woodbridge, Virginia. The Colombian born Munoz who is now an American citizen defended Joe the Plumber to a few reporters and took them to task for looking in to the background of Joe Wurzelbacher.
Munoz, dressed in his full construction garb, told the cheering crowd that they can call him by his now famous nickname and then went on to warn Virginians about the “danger” an Obama administration would bring to the country.
“Everything we stand for is in danger by higher taxes and less freedom. Everything we stand for is made stronger by people like you, like John McCain and Sarah Palin. This country has given me so much, but I have not been given much time to do my job. My job today is to stand before you, to stand up for freedom,” Tito said before introducing the GOP Vice-Presidential candidate to the crowd.”
Palin thanked Munoz and joked, “Not since the Jackson Five has the name Tito been used so much.”
The Alaska governor repeated her standard remarks about Tito that she says on the stump describing how Munoz defended Wurzelbacher from “the Obama campaign and it’s media friends.”
“Remember Joe just asked a simple question, and ever since then Joe has been investigated and attacked for asking that question. But Tito now, Tito has a question of his own. And Barack Obama isn’t going to like this one either. Tito wants to know, and I quote, he asked, he says, ‘Why the heck are you going after Joe The Plumber. Joe The Plumber has an idea. He has a future. He wants to be something else. Why is that so wrong?’ Palin said, “Tito loves this country and Tito isn’t the only McCain supporter who feels that way. In fact, I know that we have a lot of small business owners here with us today, and they feel just like Tito does.”
In an article describing the encounter from the National Review’s Byron York, Munoz expressed his anger at the media for investigating Wurzelbacher, but not the Obama campaign.

No-one has a problem with “ordinary people” putting their points forward, but at least tell the truth (ie don’t make out like you want to buy out the business that you work for when you know you haven’t got a hope in hell of doing it in this lifetime), and at least something sensible.

Anyone who loves the freedoms they now enjoy should be afraid of a Barack Obama regime. I use the term regime because he and his ultra-liberal communist friends want to take away our basic freedoms the same as any of the evil dictators we’ve dethroned in the last century. I am and I am also paying attention to Pelosi, Reid, and Barney Frank and the $01K’s no longer being tax exempt and the 5% tax to put in another social security plan for them to spend, and the drooling in antisapation of taxing the rich, I beleive old Barney said there were some more they could get, and the ban on drilling for our own oild, the cut of 25% in defense spending and the cut in military defenses such as missel detectors and so forth. John McCain’s economic stimulus: Sarah Palin’s mission as Vice President, will be to go shopping. She can spend more in two months, than Joe the Plumber can make in three years. As it is now, Joe makes $40,00 per year, before taxes. Palin has managed to get the clothes tax free. Even though, most of them were designed and manufactured by Italians, French and other European companies, we should be confident that the money that they make off of her will trickle back to America. After the campaign, the clothes will be donated to charities. We should feel better knowing that those people living in poverty would rather have haute couture than food and funds for housing.

As a professor with a Ph.D. who makes less than 100,000 each year, I started asking myself, “Why didn’t I just become a plumber? I could’ve started making money right out of high school, and instead of going to school for eight years, I could have worked and got my salary up to 200-250000 a year in eight years!”
Then I remembered that plumbers are lucky to make 50,000 a year, and my brother (a construction contractor with a crew of 5 guys) makes 90,000 a year, and they would all benefit under Obama’s plan.
Tito and Joe just want attention, and the rethugs are just happy as pite to give it to them.
