Palin: I’m a “Redneck Woman”

AP-Photo-Green, OH

AP-Photo-Green, OH

GREEN, OHIO –- After some subdued crowds for the top of the ticket at his solo campaign events, John McCain and Sarah Palin joined back up today and were greeted by a boisterous crowd of thousands on a high school football field here.

Sarah Palin took the stage to introduce her running mate and she acknowledged country star Gretchen Wilson who had serenaded the crowd with her song, “Redneck Woman” before the ticket took the stage.

The GOP Vice-Presidential nominee seemed star struck, but told the singer they have something in common, “I see Gretchen Wilson over there and I need to get your autograph before we leave! Hello! Yes! Someone called me a redneck woman once and you know what I said back? I said, ‘Why thank you.’”

In her abridged stump speech, Palin continued her attacks on Barack Obama’s tax plan trying to frame it as socialist without saying it explicitly. Today she warned supporters that Obama may be “hiding his real agenda,” when it comes to his economic plan.

“You have to really listen to our opponents’ words. Because he is hiding his real agenda of redistributing your hard earned money. Our opponent says he is for a tax credit, which is when government takes your money to give it away to someone else according to a politician’s priorities. Now, John McCain and I, we are for a real tax cut, which is when government just takes less of your earnings in the first place.”

The Obama camp stresses that they can pay for their tax credits, and that the McCain tax plan will hurt middle class Americans.

The GOP ticket’s next stop in the Buckeye state is Cincinnati where they will hold another rally there this evening.

Govenor Palin is doing very well. Senator John Kerry has no business in this campaign, and shouldn’t be getting any air time.

Thanks for publicizing this FOX. I’m sure it will give her a nationwide boost. Hope CNN picks it up too. How dumb of her to even let that song play much less identify with it.

How much do rednecks spend at Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Macy’s, Barney’s New York, and Atelier New York? How about on makeup and haircuts?
Riding a bus onto a smoke filled stage complete with dated-pump ‘em up-entrance music is very pro wrestling! That’s kinda redneckish right?

Palin has been a drag to McCain’s ticket ever since the honeymoon ended. Maybe she needs to know that “Redneck” insinuates that she lacks intelligence, morals, and has tendencies to violence and racism. Those are characteristics of a redneck. Why she would admit to that is as curious as why she isn’t mockingly laughed at more than she is. It’s a pander to the worst part of America.

I agree. Sarah Palin is a “redneck woman” and her husband looks like Billy Ray Cirus. She scares me, because she is the type of hypocritical Christian that four hundred years ago would have burned people at the stake. She has already shown that she will abuse her power for her own gain. I wander if she will let her Billy Ray Cirus husband use the White House as he used the Alaskan Governor’s office. I also wander how much she would profit from America becoming independent on oil, since they will be drilling in her back yard. Will we feel it at the pump? Probably, the prices will likely rise as we will no longer be diversified and will only be getting oil from companies that she is in bed with.

I think if you did just a little bit of research you will find that most of the states where people call them rednecks has a much larger registeration as Dems. than they do as Rep. But since I have lived in one of these states for about 3 years now, it has been a real breath of fresh air when you can talk to someone and they tell you what they think not like it was in Ca. where they gave you what moveon.org or some other far left group wanted them to say. So yes it is great to see that Palin is a redneck at least you know she is being herself not what she thinks she should be. Have a great day. We will see where the country in on Nov 4th. But be ready for Nov 2012 cause Palin might be at the top of the ticket.

Excellent redneck woman; I’m certain that the country is happy for you. There is, however, no place for you in the national government. If the good citizens of Alaska will have you, stay there and have a nice life. If you come back and try to run for national office again, you will get the same reception. We will not forget and we always vote.

TODAY IN NEWS: Al Qaeda Terrorists endorse McCain, because they fill McCain will hurt the American Military and American Economy the most. McCain trys to take Freedom of the Press away from the press by dictating what NBC should and should not broadcast. Alaska investigating Sarah Palin once again, this time over Travel Expenses for her daughters to see their dad at Snowmobile Races. McCain’s Campaign low on money, after Palin spreads the wealth by going on a Spending Spree for new Clothes. Sarah Palin avoids questions from the press, but talks to elementary students and becomes confused when a 3rd Grader asks her what a Vice President does. Republicans expect to loose several seats in the Senate and House of Repesentatives due to lack of support for their party. Obama ahead by 9% in the Polls and Majority of Americans feel that Obama is the best to solve the problems we face. Joe the Plumber still hasn’t met John McCain, Joe still refuses to campaign for McCain, and says he will not endorse McCain! ALL OF THIS IS TRUE! IT’s THE REAL NEWS TODAY!!!

Attention Republican Party:

There are a lot of us MODERATE Republicans — college-educated, suburban — who don’t really think it’s so great to be a “redneck.” And it’s not exactly a quality we look for in our next President or Vice President.

The Republican Party is about to get walloped in this election and lose the Presidency, the Senate, and the House, but perhaps some good will come out of it: GOP leaders might actually figure out they can’t win a national election with a coailition of fundamentalists and rednecks. You’ll need a few suburban conservatives with graduate degrees as well.

Could someone please give this redneck woman a civics lesson? She needs to understand how our U.S. Constitution describes a balance of power with its 3 branches. Let’s hope she could name those 3 branches! Palin has no idea that women have made progress in this country through education, accomplishments, putting family first and hard work. She has used her appearance, scare tactics and bullying to get where she is. Of course she is charming and attractive……….but I want a well-educated leader who does not elicit fear in the electorate. Peope are nervous enough about the economy. I do not want a candidate who preys on that fear.
I so hope if Obama wins, the country gets behind him as we all tried to do with Bush.

I am an independent who has voted for both parties in the past, as well as third party candidates whose platforms I agreed with. I am college educated, have lived in cities, rural areas and overseas, and never once have I seen such ridiculous, political suicide as this “Redneck” VP candidate.

If this is simply over-pandring to the under-educated people who are scared of Obama it’s sad. If it’s Sarah being Sarah it’s scary. McCain should have picked a better running mate, because Sarah has the independents running away, fast.

Too bad for McCain. I could have voted for him.

The Challenge of the Church
by Jim Sheppard
In essence, the last 50 years in the United States has produced an unprecedented outbreak of affluence. In the face of this condition, Americans - especially Christian Americans - have struggled to understand how to manage financial resources in a way that is consistent with their faith. Without clear teaching and instruction, church members have absorbed more of what the world says than what the Bible says about money and possessions. Christians have brought this thinking back into the void that existed in their local congregations, creating a damaging impact on the Biblical understanding of money and possessions.
One of the results of this trend is that members are acting and thinking more like consumers (eager spenders) than stewards (faithful managers). According to Claude Rosenberg, in his book Wealthy And Wise, Americans could collectively give away $100 billion per year without feeling a pinch. But statistics show we are getting stingier than ever. From 1968 to 1994, discretionary income increased by 54% after taxes and inflation were factored out. During that same period, charitable giving as a percentage of income declined 21% (from 2.5% to about 2%).

This explains his comments to Joe The Plumber. Spreading the wealth is what he really wants to do.

Comment by Amber

I’d like to see more redneck women in Neiman Marcus clothing, wouldn’t you Sarah? Now if you could only spread some of that wealth around, hockey moms all over could look just like you. I mean you did earn all that money it took to clothe you right Sarah - nobody just gave you the money to look like that did they Sarah? That would be so beneath your strong conservative value of earning your money and seeing fit how to spend it - you wouldn’t do that would you Sarah?

Comment by Palin 2012

According to the latest Pew Research Center findings, religious voters appear to be gradually gravitating toward Barack Obama as their pick for president.

While McCain still holds an advantage over his rival among white evangelical Protestant voters, his support has dropped among that demographic from 71 percent to 67 percent in one month, while Obama’s support has increased from 21 percent to 24 during the same time period.

Among white mainline Protestant voters, 48 percent to 43 percent favor Obama. In late September, Pew found the two candidates neck and neck among Protestant voters, 44 percent supporting Obama to McCain’s 43 percent.

stupid people think that the way to fix the economy (that has no money) is to raise taxes. what does raising taxes accomplish? please tell me how jobs are created when taxes are raised on those that provide jobs. please tell me when anyone ever got a real job from a real poor person. please tell me why i wont be able to buy a nice outfit or some make-up if i have less money in my pocket. 8 years ago i was able to go shopping at walmart, 4 years ago i had to go shopping at general dollar and family dollar stores and today i dont go shopping at all. i buy the minimum of food, gas and nothing else. sad thing is,…i work for the government. my vote will go, however, to mccain. this is because lowering taxes creates jobs which creates wealth. poor folks dont add wealth to the country/economy, wealthy people do, small business does, large corportaions do. obams plan wont work and will actually keep me right where i am financially and right where he wants me to be. when he mocked joe the plumber he was mocking all of the working and middle class. all of you should be outraged.

Does anyone realize that the reason so much money had to be spent on Sarah Palin’s clothing is because she truly is an average, everyday woman, and her wardrobe was rather limited for a vice presidential candidate? Gail Fenumiai, director of the Alaska Division of Elections, tells ABC News that Palin’s husband Todd was a member of the Alaskan Independence Party (AIP) from October 1995 through July 2002, except for a few months in 2000. Another former AIP official — Mark Chryson, chairman of the AIP from 1995 to 2002 — tells ABC News that “Palin was at the convention in 1994. She was there.”

Earlier this year, Palin sent a video message to the AIP for its annual convention, where AIP vice chair George Clark told the small crowd that Palin “was an AIP member before she got the job as a mayor of a small town –- that was a non-partisan job.”

The AIP makes great effort to emphasize that its primary goal is merely a vote on secession, something that Party advocates say Alaskans were denied during the founding of the state. AIP members argue that the 1958 plebiscite was corrupt and that residents were not given the proper choice between statehood, commonwealth status, or complete separation — something they say has been granted to other U.S. territories such as Puerto Rico.

I bet McCain would secretly like to strangle her right now.

I thank him for choosing her because with someone of a higher calibre… say…Condoleeza, Obama wouldnt have stood a chance.

I also love hearing the rationale of her supporters… just as clueless as she is. I would imagine that they would fit right in with the crowd she was addressing in this instance.

I would assume you would all hope to go to an elite doctor/surgeon if needed, I assume you hope that your sports teams have elite players, you don’t want your kids to have ordinary teachers and you sure hope that your military is elite. So when considering the most important job in the country, all of a sudden you want ordinary? It makes no sense.

Here’s one for ya:

A teacher in New York asked her 6th grade class how many of them were McCain fans…

Not really knowing what a McCain fan was, but wanting to be liked by the teacher, all the kids raised their hands except for Little Johnny.

The teacher asked Little Johnny why he decided to be different… again.

Little Johnny said, ‘Because I’m not a McCain fan.’

The teacher said, ‘Why aren’t you a McCain fan?’

Johnny said, ‘Because I’m a Democrat.’

The teacher asked why he’s a Democrat.

Little Johnny answered, ‘Well, my Mom’s a Democrat and my Dad’s a Democrat, so I’m a Democrat.’

The teacher asks, ‘If your Mom was a mor@n, and your Dad was an idi@t, what would that make you?’

With a big smile, Little Johnny replied, ‘That would make me a McCain fan.

I always liked Little Johnny and posting this for McFlaining fans.

So, Sarah the reformer and fiscal conservative, jumps into the public trough immediately after being sworn in as governor of Alaska. She is happy to have a wardrobe provided by fiscal conservatives that cost a couple multiples of the average annual household income. She supports McCain’s tax increase on healthcare costs that will be a hardship on most small businesses. She apparently is unaware of the the commandment against bearing false witness depsite years of religious instruction that I have trouble finding in my bible. Is this Sarah in Wonderland or is this my USA?

Sarah Palin accuses an Obama presidency of offering tax credits vs tax cuts, and claims tax credits are bad? But a $5,000 tax credit is the entirety of the McCain health care plan. How can you claim tax credits are bad then make them the centerpiece of your health care plan? I’d say “Hypocrisy,’ but some “Redneck Woman” might think that’s a complement. What happened to the Republican Party as a bastion of the intellectual right?

After this election, we’re all still going to be Americans and we’re all going to have to work together. We have very real problems and we’re all going to have to unite to fix them. Democrats, Republicans, Liberals, Conservatives, all of us. This fake “us vs. them”, “aw shucks I’m just regular folks” stuff isn’t going to help the country. There are hardworking tax paying patriotic Americans of all stripes. There are great americans in small towns and big cities.

Even if we disagree on who we’re going to vote for, why do we have to hate each other?

Do we have to call either of the candidates wives ugly because we don’t approve of their spouses policies?

Do we have to make fun of a veteran’s age?

Do we have to suggest that a candidate we don’t support is some kind of radical extremist?

Being a redneck is a risky thing to say when all Americans want to see is a black guy acting white. At lease she’s not pretending to be a man like Hillary or Ellen. Palin rocks with a $150,000 suit! LOL Stop hating and ask Obama about the campaign contributions without names. Tell me they are not from the Middle East.

God, I’d rather hear fingernails on a chalkboard than to hear her talk! She truly is nauseating.
