Camp McCain jumps all over Biden remark
ST. CHARLES, MO — Joe Biden may have handed Camp McCain a lifeline today by telling donors in recent days that Barack Obama will likely face a major international crisis during his first six months in office.
“Joe the Biden said a couple days ago that within the first six months, Barack Obama would be tested as president. Let me tell you, in his entire life, John McCain has passed every test given to him,” Sen. Lindsey Graham said during his introduction of McCain today at a rally outside St. Louis today.
The remarks by Graham began a day-long effort by the McCain campaign to use the remarks to make the experience argument against Obama.
Rudy Giuliani will be hosting a campaign conference call on the remarks this afternoon and McCain is also set to chime in on the issue at his late afternoon rally in Belton, MO.
According to excerpts released by the campaign, McCain will say:
“Just last night, Senator Biden guaranteed that if Senator Obama is elected, we will have an international crisis to test America’s new President. We don’t want a President who invites testing from the world at a time when our economy is in crisis and Americans are already fighting in two wars.
What is more troubling is that Senator Biden told their campaign donors that when that crisis hits, they would have to stand with them because it wouldn’t be apparent Senator Obama would have the right response.
Forget apparent. Senator Obama won’t have the right response, and we know that because we’ve seen the wrong response from him over and over during this campaign. He opposed the surge strategy that is bringing us victory in Iraq and will bring us victory in Afghanistan. He said he would sit down unconditionally with the world’s worst dictators. When Russia invaded Georgia, Sen. Obama said the invaded country should show restraint.”

We are already seeing Sen Obama responses to the economic crisis and that alone is not good.
1. What ever Warren Buffet says the good Senator Obama complies.
2. Give away $700 Billion to crooks, No problem
3. GIve away $150 Billion in Pork No problem.
4. Give away $25 Billion to car manufactures, no Problem
5. Take no stance on congression miss deeds in governing Fanny and Freddi - no problem.
6. Take a stance on $150 to $300 Billion going out the door - No Problem
7 Spending $1.6 Trillion on Health Care - No Problem
8. Signing on to a U.N bill for decreasing Poverty - $800 Billion No Problem.
9. Signing up to limit free speech across the air waves - No Problem
10. Nothing said to defeat the fact that Unions want to take the secret ballot away - no problem.
And this list could go on and on. Yes Sen Biden, Sen Obama is already testing the will of the people and he isn’t even elected yet.
The democcrat silence on the importance of our national security in this election speaks volumes about the veracity of the McCain-Palin assessment of Biden and Obama.
Yawn . . . I’ll take Colin Powell’s word over kiss-a-s-s Graham any day.
Wrong response?
Apparently the “McCain Camp” will not go out gracefully but will continue the negativity that Colin Powell so eloquently spoke about.
If a crisis hits good ol Barry would be found in the Lincoln Bedroom in the fetal position, rocking back and forth and sucking his thumb. You mean that is not the proper response?
NObama is so naive an inexperience that his own runninmate recognizes that. I just can beleive that American are so fool and beleive in “That One” the messiah????. Democrats are such fools and they are going to make the biggest mistakes in their lives, just because they want their candidate to win, they don’t care about the country and the consecuences of Nobama’s inexperience in dealing with foreign issues. That is not PATRIOTIC.
It sounds to me like Senator Binden is saying, vote for McCain and keep the U.S. out of another world crisis. There you go again, Joe. Thanks for the endorsement.
You guys are getting desparate. If Colin Powell is confident that Obama can handle the job, then so am I. By the way, I voted for Bush in the last election.
It is not too late for the American people to WAKE UP! Obama is VERY bad for our country!!!!!!!
Sounds to me that Biden dont have any faith in Obama and he is saying that we are sure to have bad luck and terrorist problems if Obama is elected. Did he switch to the McCain ticket?
and—-obama supporters are frantic about sarah palins qualifications…. chew that one guys…
Wow thats pretty weak. Maybe Biden was referring to the HUGE bailout the government just passed
Joe the Biden is also known as Joe the Fool. Joe Biden said during his run for presidency that Obama was not ready to lead and said he would not accept a VP nomination either. Obama said he would accept public financing but then declines it after McCain accepted it. I guess we know that both Obama and Biden are liars and neither are fit to be in the White House.
Say it aint so Joe!!!!!
Obama should release his birth certificate to prove he is a naturalized citizen
http://www.rallycongress.com/constitutional-qualification/1244/stop-obama-constitutional-crisis/
He might not even be qualified to be our president.
This is not right.
I agree with the McCain camp regarding Biden’s comment. Why should our country get into trial with Obama if we already have a very good qualified candidate like McCain running? I just feel Obama will really be a bad choice if he wins this election and for McCain I hope he will be watching Obama if he ever gets elected, just to make sue he doesn’t mess up and our country will be affected because of his bad judgement. God bless our country.
Hey, Joe and Barack were talking about being tested next year … as senators, obviously!
Grasping at straws. The blatant nature in which the McCain campaign is willing to distort people’s words to serve its political purposes amazes me. The PEOPLE are rising up with HOPE for the future!! 630k+ in new donors within the last month! The scary stories are falling on deaf ears. We are tired of the partisan mudslinging and the obvious campaign tactics. If McCain really wanted to change American he would spend more time telling us HOW instead of hanging out in the political gutter with Bush’s former henchmen. It’s sad because I used to really respect him, regardless of whether or not I agreed with his policies.
That was definetly not what Biden said!!!!! FOX NEWS your are so against Obama that you would tell lies. When will it all end??? Maybe on Election Day??? But I`m guessing NOT!
I suppose if he had said in the first 6 months, Senator Obama will eat, shower and use the bathroom, that somehow Senator McCain will have done that better, longer and faster than him too. Give me a break REPUBS you’ll grasp at anything won’t you? Of course the President no matter who he is will be tested, that will undoubtedly happen, but do you want someone who is angry, old and bitter to handle our crisis, or someone who is fresh, even keeled and calm under pressure? I’ll go with the latter any day, “my friends”.
McCain’s campaign is grasping for air
The Biden ABC article should be breaking news all over the country and with every News organization. It will not and be downplayed and this is why we are in for a hostile takeover of America’s core values.
I think that to those voters who may be on the fence in needing to decide who or who not to vote for in the upcoming election, this should have made up your mind. Do you not realize if a major international crisis is to hit the United States within the first 6 months of the new presidents office our country will be in a world of hurt. We are already on the verge of bankrubting ourselves, we owe billions to China, and the answer is to add more to the debt for stimulas checks and such. I am personally offended to those who got checks and did not even pay taxes. Should we not be taking better care of our Vets and Military instead of the welcare system that needs a serious overhual.?? I think the No Child Left Behind should be slashed and eliminated the first day that McCain is swore into office. Go through and cut out all the BS and programs that are “gas guzzlers” and do nothing but feed of the money but produce no results.
This doesn’t seem like a mistake to me at all on Biden’s part. Much to the contrary - it seems like a brilliant stroke. The experience argument has proven ineffective. It didn’t work for Hillary Clinton, and it hasn’t worked for John McCain. And with Colin Powell’s recent endorsement the idea that it will work now is not based in reality.
What may work is the outright lie that Obama’s plans are Socialist. What may have worked was the bumbled selection of Joe the Plumber. Had they vetted the guy more thoroughly it might have been a good direction for them, strategically speaking.
If Biden can trick them into going back again to the inexperience argument he will have decreased the chances that the McCain campaign will find a way to win by November 4th — this path has been well-traveled and is a proven road to nowhere. .
Joe Biden spoke the truth. America will be tested. What is Obama going to do? Call me if you need me, for the economy, for taxes he will redistribute the wealth that’s what he told Joe the plumber Obama’s response to a crisis is far from being Presidential. Joe Biden said Americans would have to stand with them because Obama would not have the right response. What part of that did they not understand. In other words if Obama is elected we will be stuck with him. Along with the radical friends. Since when is it find to associate with terrorist like Ayers, and radicals like Jeremiah Wright with his GD America. Obama is not the right choice for America, not now with the uncertain future we face.
No wonder you have no commments-you have errors on this page.
Don’t worry about any potential crisis, Obomba will have Colin Powell to advise him. This is the same Colin Powell who caused the second gulf war by recommending that we not finish the first.
This is exactly why I will not vote for Barack Obama. I am a lifelong Democrat. When Obama was chosen as the Democratic candidate, a candidate who has absolutely NO relevant experience to assume the role of President of the United States of America, I did not hesitate to throw my support to John McCain. I have always had a great deal of respect for John McCain and feel that he is a true American hero. He has the knowledge and experience to protect our country in these extremely volatile times. Terrorist and socialist nations do not want John McCain to win this election. They know they will not have to “test” him, at the expense of our great nation and its people. They know exactly where he stands and how he will conduct the affairs of the United States, always for the good of the American people. When he says “Country First” he really means it. This is not a catch phrase like the ones we have been hearing from the Obama campaign. This is exactly why these nations are counting on Obama being the next President. Obama has no answers. When he is challenged, he arrogantly brushes things aside and calls these challenges a distraction. Is this what he will do when our beloved Country is in harm’s way? Call it a distraction? I will NEVER vote to put someone in the White House who I feel will put our Country in harm’s way. John McCain will not do that. John McCain IS “Country First”. OUR Country. OUR people. John McCain has my confidence and my vote. And I know of many, many Democrats who feel the same way, and who will be voting for John McCain.
What causes me fear is that Obama may be part of the crisis. He knows nothing of how the military operates nor what to do with the military he has to run. I am afraid of friends that he may have around this world.
It is time for educated people in this country to wake up and get off the Obama band wagon, quit listening to his silver tongue, and put a man with experience in office.
If we don’t we are doomed!
Jojn McCain has got the experience we need for president today;he has proved it, and this is another point of proof that Obama doesn’t. All Obama is proving is he can and will spend BIG money, our money. Spend,Spend. Spend!!!
It is apparent to anyone with a brain that our enemies are licking their chops, in the expectation that Obama will be elected and in short order the American ability to respond to attack or emergency will be severely hampered.
Obama’s appeasement, blame the victim approach to world events, and his reknowned disdain for military preparedness, and the Military in general will be the downfall of this Nation.
If there is any question as to the direction this country will be heading while the Obama/Reid/Pelosi troika point the way is clearly evident in the pages of Ayn Rand’s “Atlas Shrugged”. While her view on religion may turn you off, it is clear that her view on the eventual outcome to the Socialist policies of these 60’s throwbacks is right on the money, and scary as can be.
I won’t live long enough to see this country recover, if it ever does, from at least the next two years with the Socialcrats running the show in all three arenas of the Federal government.
This is about the comment Joe Biden made today to the press. It sounds to me that Obama and Biden and the rest of the Dems are already packing their bags to move into the White House. Joe Biden must know something that the rest of us don’t know. And pray to God that if we are attack again{which so many people have forgotten the last time} that John McCain is the one in the white House and Not Obama and Biden. We need a real leader not someone who thinks he can lead. John McCain has proven this over the years.
I agree Joe, Barack will finally be tested as a senator. I also agree, he’ll ned you help ther Joe.
WHY IS BIDEN A BETTER CHOICE THEN PALIN? WHY ARE WE NOT TALKING ABOUT HIS STUIDITY.
I am surprised that a well know news agency is publishing this.
What i am missing is “journalism” with a capital J.
By reading the article find that Oinounou wrote exactly four sentences
and filled the rest with quotes from Graham and mc Cain.
Not exactly the quality that one might expect.
This is a political leak. Biden may know of an obama strategy that is way out of bounds! Obama needs to open up before he is elected about hie future plans that are going to put us in harms way. We have that right. But mark my words. I have been stockpiling pantries and money getting ready for the worst, so have others, many others should Obama take office. I will survive and be able to laugh and say, “I told you so!”
McCain/Palin
Safe and HONEST
How naive would it be to think that Joe Bidens comment was anything but accurate. However, the truth is that it doesn’t mater who is elected because there is almost certainly going to be a crisis early into any new administration. The United States military is currently spread to thin to answer a new threat, the world is teatering on an economic crash and extremist have tested the resolve of American Presidents since Carter. My best guess would be some form of attack upon Isreal from Iran to test Obamas’ intensions in the middle east or another attack upon aspiring NATO nations by Russia.
Biden is the biggest &T&% idiot I have ever, ever seen - and people feel good about Obama’s chocie for VP - talk about drinking the Kool-Aid
Unfairly biased Fox GOP propaganda news Machine… Stumping to new levels of disgrace are we fox…
Give me a break! The republicans are only trying to again rile up the public. I have the utmost respect and belief that Obama will be a better generation gap president than is McCain. McCain is old school! He doesn’t understand the new problems facing the world. He doesn’t stay cool under pressure, he never listens to anyone, except his conservative “friends”. I just hope that people can vote on the issues, not the scare tactics that the McCain camp is sending. The middle class needs helps. We work just as hard, probably harder than most rich people and we deserve the tax breaks too! This trickle down policy of Bush and McCain is not and will not work anymore.
I am tired of hearing about the working class all the time. There is a class of people, like me, in this world that is unable to work because of illness or age and I am not hearing anything about our rights or any way to help us get the things we need. I live on a very low income each month and am having to buy medicine because I have cancer and it is getting harder and harder to get the things I need because I don’t have the money to pay the doctors and hospitals. Now if someone can tell me how to do all of this on $694.00 a month and still eat, I would be very happy.
I’d settle for the international crisis. My fear is that Al-Qaeda and others have been biding their time to attack us on U.S. soil, figuring we’ll be be apt to marginalize the Patriot Act, go back to the ineffective remote monitoring of terrorist organizations as we did during the Clinton era, and be more concerned with mirandizing the terrorists than acutally dealing with them under an Obama presidency.
Obama is the cool, collective guy of the two. People recall the debates and will backfire if McCain pushes it like never before. The Obamas will defend in their territory as the non-erratic one in terms of crisis.
YES!… it is a lifeline for McCain.
People need to be reminded that Obama has a flip/flop history and no experience to handle any national crisis. He’d probably invite whoever was testing his toughness, over for tea!
And Biden….that guy is unbelievable…always has his foot in his mouth. Very scary if he had to step in as President.
What a strange thing for Joe Biden to say. I can’t for the life of me think of why he would think such a comment would be beneficial for the Obama candidacy at a campaign event. And this, from the Vice Presidential candidate that the pundits told us brings “gravitas” and “foreign policiy competence” to the ticket?
Do her detractors still think that Sarah Palin looks like an unsophisticated “book” next to Biden?
This is news? All new presidents get tested by world events. Thank goodness we’ll have President Obama to respond.
Wake up America! An Obama-Biden presidency will put this freedom loving nation into a severe downward spiral from which we may never return. We don’t need Obama’s change…it’s socialism!!! Judging from the associations of Barack Obama and the help they have given to put him where he is today, our country will be a very scary place with Obama as president.
I read the article earlier, jumped in the car and drove over to my CA county registrars office and voted early for McCain. Thank you Joe, you pushed me out the door. Call up your county registrar to find out when you can vote early. THEN GO TO:
http://WWW.RALLYCONGRESS.COM/CONSTITUTIONAL-QUALIFICATION/1244/STOP-OBAMA-CONSTITUTIONAL-CRISIS
Go to this website to sign a petition that will be emailed directly to your local representatives. Email it to everyone you know. You are signing a petition to have the real (possibly Kenyan) Obama birth record released. Not the 2 phony Hawaiian ones, but the one tied up in court that he is refusing to release until after November 5.
http://WWW.RALLYCONGRESS.COM/VOTERID/1326/ A petition to require voter photo id at all polls in all states, and a call to investigate all voter fraud charges.
FORMERPUMAMOM Said: This is news? All new presidents get tested by world events. Thank goodness we’ll have President Obama to respond.
Thank goodness we’ll have President Obama to sit down and have tea and crumpets with iran’s leader, who by the way Hates us, and leave Iraq in Chaos.
If Palin was a dumb as chosen Joe then the Liberal Media would be all over her. But let Joe say some bone head remarks or totally false statements like he does and nothing is said. I would be more worried about Joe being 1 heart beat away rather than Palin. Joe has been wrong so much lately, can you imagine him talking to other leaders and saying lets go to Katies place for lunch?
YOU GO CHARLIE! MCCAIN-PALIN 08
wake up people!!! McCain is the wrong person for america. he supported the socialist bailout of wall street. he supports buying private land with government money. he’s the second coming of Lenin.
Hahaha! Keep throwing, something will stick pretty soon but I hate to tell ya, this is not it!
I am anti Obama because he is inexperienced, has a very questionable background and will drive us to depression and redistribute my very hard earned wealth. Also as President he can alone totally neuter our national defense by refusing to authorize the deterrence of retaliation. I know a little about these things since the single seat fighter I flew was designed for a high speed, low altitude, all weather nuclear weapons delivery. I was required to have a top secret clearance. It bugs me that our elected officials do not have to get security clearances. Because of the Obama background, I know he could never ever get a security clearance. Crazy world - I was one person with one nuclear bomb with a top secret clearance that needed codes to arm while our future President who has the codes to arm has the power to destroy the entire world with no background check or security clearance. If he wins I have been thinking about of selling all my assets and moving to countries like Australia, New Zealand, Brazil or Argentina among others.
Tom Kaye: do you ever read? Try Audacity of Hope, your messiah’s book. Look up Black theology while youre busy blogging nothingness on the computer. You need to investigate a little you sir are voting in the dark.
Check out what kadafi had to say about obama’s money
check out what your vp choice said today
Listen carefully to Bidens words. Particularly the nervousness in it’s delivery.
He is talking about a draft, and if Obama has it his way it will be young men and young women.
What else does Joe know? Is he sending us a message? That Obama is dangerous for this country.
Who would you rather have facing Medeved/ Putin across the table, Obama od McCain? It reminds me of the Kennedy/Khruschev summit which led to the Cuban Missile Crisis. Good Luck!
The Democratic contender has made many questionable statements. He has many highly questionable associations which appear highly anti-American. There should never be any doubt about the patriotism of a candidate for president. I THINK MOST AMERICANS ARE FORGETTING THE PRESIDENT IS THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS THE CODES AND THE AUTHORIZATION FOR NUCLEAR RETALIATION. I believe that this overwhelming capability helps keep us safe. What would North Korea, Russia, China, Iran and others do if they knew this capability was made non functional by one man i.e. the President?
I remember when I was very young how almost all Americans cheered for and supported Castro as a liberator to defeat the corrupt Batista. Also how Castro announced his real self after he took power. Is Obama another but much more dangerous Castro?
I can’t believe people who voted for Bush still have opinions. Seriously, just give up. If you were dumb enough to support an idiot like Bush (which was most of us, sorry guys) Then you should not even try this time around. It was all of the dumb Bush supporters that are still around now that are the problem.
If you are a person that is full of HATE and or FEAR then I’m betting you support the GOP and there is no convincing you otherwise… but just think about how you voted for Bush TWICE and then think about how messed up the country is right now… okay, now go look in the mirror.
fools.

We are already seeing Sen Obama responses to the economic crisis and that alone is not good.
1. What ever Warren Buffet says the good Senator Obama complies.
2. Give away $700 Billion to crooks, No problem
3. GIve away $150 Billion in Pork No problem.
ETC
What a goofy post when the same thing could be said about “can’t make up my mind McCain”
McCain is really grasping at straws with this! Once again, he’s playing the spin game again. On top of that, he is claiming that Obama’s decisions have been wrong when in fact it’s John McCain’s decisions that have been wrong. Who wanted us attacking Iraq? John McCain. That was the wrong thing to do. McCain keeps talking about winning in Iraq. He cannot even define what it means to win. Win what? It’s talk with no substance. Obama is interested in going after Bin Laden and Al Qaeda and that is not tied to Iraq. McCain is stuck in a conflict that is just sucking money out of our country without making us any more safe.
This is one of many reasons why my family whom did NOT vote for bush but will be voting for the McCain/Palin group. All 23 of them are democrats and I was surprised when my mom whom is also a democrat will be voting for McCain.
Obama opposed the war, that was a right response. Wouldn’t have needed a surge if the lying war-mongers hadn’t drummed up this misbegotten war to enrich themselves. Wouldn’t be trillions of dollars in debt at the start of the economic crisis if there was no war. Wouldn’t have the blood of thousands of innocent people on our hands if there had been no war. Go ahead and vote for “bomb, bomb, bomb, Iran and we’ll stay there for 100 years” McCain. He will make more mess for war profiteering contractors to get paid at tax-payers expense to clean up. They don’t actually do the work, they just get paid for it. And by the way, the country we taxpayers are paying to say we clean up has a huge budget surplus. Experience does not negate idiocy.

That was definetly not what Biden said!!!!! FOX
Thanks, danielle. FOX is so biased, they shouldn’t call themselves “news”. Even MSNBC (except for a couple of commentary shows) isn’t as bad and bold-faced. Anything Biden says is twisted but everything that idiot Palin says is gospel - give us a break sneaky FOX.
Biden said we would have to support him, tell us something new please. This man (Obama) hasn’t a clue, Biden already said he will be front and center at every meeting Bama holds to make sure he doesn’t screw up. Lies then more lies to cover the lies he already told. typical Liberal and if you disagree or ask to many questions, hang on, they will investigate you as well. So much for the working class.
Mr Wolfster1,
Let it go, the man was born in Hawaii to an American woman and Kenyan Dad and as such has dual citizenship, so in a sense, you are correct, he is not a naturalized citizen, he was BORN a citizen of the USA. Even the McCain camp has said as much. Could this be perhaps due to the fact tha John McCain himself was not born within the borders of the USA? That’s right, he was born in Panama to two US citizens.

and—-obama supporters are frantic about sarah palins qualifications…. chew that one guys
IT’S NOT HER QUALIFICATIONS, LADY, IT’S HER TOTAL LACK OF INTELLIGENCE. DO YOU NOT GET IT - SHE’S AN IDIOT ON FOREIGN POLICY, ECONOMY, ETC. HER ANSWER TO EVERYTHING IS “ENERGY, ENERGY, ENERGY”. DUMB AS A DOORKNOB. EXECUTIVE EXPERIENCE - YEAH, SHE GOT LUCKY - HER LOOKS AND HER TURN-OF-THE CENTURY SOCIAL VIEWS……… IF SHE BECOMES VP, IT WILL AGAIN BE PURE LUCK, NOT ANY VALUABLE QUALIFICATIONS OR INTELLECT. PALEEEEASE……
At this very moment, a Russian fleet is forming to sail into the Caribbean sea for battle excerises with the Venezuelan navy who has a leader that hates the USA. This fleet has at its center a missile battle cruiser capable of firing many missiles at once. During any naval war excerise, targets are selected, and practice readiness is drilled into the crew. Yet during this election year I have not heard a word about this oncoming fleet into our backyard with capabilities of taking out a major portion of our east coast. Biden is correct, Obama will be tested. I think by Putin and it will be I would guess with the Russian Black Sea fleet which is causing great tension with the Ukraine. Another young President Kennedy was tested by the Russians also, the cuban crisis. Are we taking our eye off the ball fighting over economics without an utter about our defenses.
It is funny how the Obama supporters are blaming McCain for this. IT WAS BIDEN WHO MADE THE COMMENT !!!!!
Why is it fine for Obama and his supporters to jump on every little word that McCain & Palin say, but not for McCain and Palin to point out what Obama and Biden say? The truth hurts - doesn’t it Obama people. Your own VP nominee says that the world is going to try and test Obama because of who he is — a young inexperienced wannabe politician with even less experience running something than Sarah Palin.
Biden is correct, certain countries or groups are going create a crisis (as if fighting a war in two countries isn’t enough). N. Korea and Iran will certainly push further in regards to their nuclear programs knowing that Obama will not act. The terrorists will step up their actions in Iraq and Afghanistan (and maybe even the US), knowing that Obama will not act. Maybe Obama will just sit down and talk with them.
Biden’s own statement is exactly what McCain has been talking about the entire time — this all goes back to Obama’s judgement and lack of inexperience. Also, don’t forget that only a few months ago, Biden was the one saying that Obama was not ready to be president. Hillary also said the same thing. I guess it is true what Obama said - his campaign for president (when he was supposesd to be working in the Senate, which was his only real experience) has given him experience to be president.
Palin2012 - you want to talk about new levels of disgrace. How about Obama and his left wing media machine attacking a middle class worker, who aspires to be what Obama calls “rich”, for asking a question. That is a new level of disgrace. That is worse than anything the McCain campaign has ever done.
Obama can dish it out but he can’t take it. God forbid anyone disagrees with him.
Obama will bring change, unfortunately it will be for the worse. He will drag the country into a depression, create bigger government, and end up raising taxes on the middle class once he finds out that his economic plan is garbage.
By the way, I am a registered Democrat. Obama is far worse for this country than McCain ever can be.
this is the most biased newpaper i have ever read…good job
Give me a break! Where do you think all this money Obama is receiving is coming from? I thought everybody in this country was in such terrible shape according to the Dems that they can’t even buy groceries or pay their mortgages and bills yet they send him millions and millions of dollars? Everybody knows where his money is coming from even if they won’t admit it. However, that doesn’t stop him and his wife from ordering Lobsters, french wine and Iranian caviar at the Waldorf Astoria at 4:00 in the afternoon! He won’t share any of his money with other Dems running in elections???? We won’t have to worry that he’ll lose any money during the “hard times” he’s espousing. Biden wants us to just stick with them though when times get tough if we don’t like what he’s doing. Just remember in two years how we feel about him now, okay? He knows himself what we’ve got to look forward to and he’s trying to soften the blow, “just remember how you feel now in two years when things get bad”. People had better think long and hard before they pull that leve for Obama. I pray to the Lord everyday that Obama does not win but if he does I just think God is through with this country.
“…A major international crisis during his first six months in office…”
Wow - that will be above his pay grade.
Ash_N, Toronto Canada
McCain Jumps - now that’s news - he jumps all over the place first he won’t do negative campaigning, but he does; after telling us how sound the economy is and how we need to deregulate health care like we did banking, he then wants to fire the wrong people when the economy collapses; then he cancels a debate to go work on the economic crisis; he doesn’t do anything when he gets there, then he decides to debate after all. That is one whacked out Maverick (oh but now there is the oxy-moronic pair of mavericks). And he jumped the gun on Palin too, nominating her without properly vetting her. Just keep his jumpy fingers away from the nuclear weapons.
Apparently….Colin Powell isn’t the only one who thinks Obama is ready.
They are grasping at anything, John McCain can only blame himself if/when he loses. His campaign has been a disaster since day 1. Then he puts the cherry on top, Sarah Palin.
People…please do your research, let’s talk about what John McCain plans to do for this nation……..Continue the same failed policies of George Bush.
I can answer one question, a friend voted straight republican when she did an early vote and it came up straight democratic. Now how did that happen? Whatch when you vote.
If Obama were today go down to apply for a security position in a high branch of government(FBI, CIA,) he would be rejected on the spot for associations with domestic terrorists.
Yet we allow the Democratic National Convention to put him forward as a hopeful President.
Please take a hard look at this people. This is wrong on so many levels one does not know where to start.
This is a given he will not keep us safe as a McCain Presidency would insure already proven…..
God Help us!
KATE-
John McCain has ran one of the most dirtiest campaigns in the history of the United States. The American haters do want John McCain in office because they know he’ll continue the failed policies of George W. We know his policies. That’s why those people want Geor excuse me John McCain in office.
And….John McCain DID NOT put country first when he appointed Sarah Palin as his running mate.
Let us not forget that McCain has already been tested repeatedly throughout this campaign and has really failed again and again; failed to demonstrate presidential stature, integrity, firmness in decisions, character, choice of running mate and ability to come up with solutions for the problems, always only offering more of the same as he pretends to be a ‘Maverick’ but without credentials! All while Obama continues to impress.
Hey Ed Gold, everyone including the Democratic party (before Obama was the nominee) was saying he is not experienced and naive and will get us in trouble - but just because Colon Powell says so, makes it so? He hasn’t known Obama but for maybe a year or so and that makes him your voice of experience inside Obama’s head? You deserve what you get with these racist nuts.
Sorry folks - looks like Obama/Biden are the winners this election. McCain has nobody but himself to blame - picking Palin as his running mate, the negative campaigning and his arrogant mannerisms such as referring to Obama as “that one” during the 2nd presidential debate is completely ridiculous. I guess he figures he’ll lose anyway, so he has nothing to lose by smearing Obama as much as possible - real mature, exactly the kind of character we need in the White House. McCain/Palin - grow up and stop making Republicans look bad, it’s over - have some dignity!
Reading the comments here that are critical of Obama-Biden they tell a story of desperation and self-delusion, of ignoring reality and of creatively searching for something, anything to rationalize a pro-McCain-Palin / anti-Obama-Biden mentality. Just the depth of their low-class and lack of real meaning presents their frustration and their lack of conscience. I suspect all of that should be very encouraging to Obama & Biden.
I actually found a full transcript of Joe’s speech. Many hilarious quotes (especially the one about how much foreign policy he has forgotten). My favorite though is this:
“Because if they’re popular, they’re probably not sound.” …
Now Joe was referring to actions that Obama might take.
But consider it in this context:
Obama and his proposals are popular.
Under Joe’s logic, they are both probably not sound, because they are popular.
