Today, I saw people of all economic backgrounds, social status and race come together to support a man I think is the best choice in this election of change. Thank you St Louis, for restoring the American dream and my faith in my fellow Americans to do the right thing.

By the way, I’m sick of hearing about Joe the Plumber. With this intense coverage, his plumbing business will grow so much that he will end up seeing his tax bill go up no matter who wins the presidency. And really, I don’t know any plumber who makes over $250,000 a year. The man himself said he had mistated his expected earnings. McCain is ridiculing himself; I understand he is getting desperate, but he must maintain his posture and coolness always because that makes you look presidential among other things.

McCain should have beaten Bush in 2000; now it’s too late for him. Republicans were dumb enough to elect Bush Jr. the worst and dirtiest president in recent history. Republicans should remember the 2000 Republican Primary between McCain and Bush; I’ll say this: Bush and Rove at their best.

It’s too late for McCain and GOPers at this point; people are sick of it. 100,000 crowds haven’t been seen in decades; that should tell you something about the way people are thinking.

I “betcha” all you McCain/Palin supporters don’t even understand the American tax system, do you? It is sad how uneducated you are. Let me give you some learning here:

In our system, you are taxed progressively. So, if you make over $250K, and we are under Obama’s tax plan, you only pay 39% on anything over 250K that you have AFTER your deductions, etc. So, if your bottom line is 275K, you will pay 39% on 25K (275K-250K = 25K), which ends up being $9,750. Under the current system, at 36%, you would pay 36% on 25K, which is $9000.

So, you will be paying an extra $750!!!! That’s it!! For every $25,000 above $250K, you pay an extra $750.

Jeez, that is not so bad. It is what is was back with Clinton and Reagan. And you whine about that. Fiscally conservative my arse. It is about time we get back to pay as you go economics and taxes are a part of that.

So go home with all of your socialist talk and get some new talking points.

I think it is amazing to see so many people fired up and involved in the current election. It has been a long time since we have seen such enthusiasm for a Presidential candidate.

It’s amazing to see these rallys and how people respond to Obama, he is an intelligent, well educated, charasmatic leader who will dig this country out of the ditch that the Bush policies have dug us into and that McCain/Palin have supported. I was skeptical of him too until I learned more about him, read his policies and watched him in interviews and the debates. He is smart, capable, surrounds himself with the brightest and the best, and is dedicated to his country, and has been since he started working. He could have made millions as a corporate lawyer, but instead went into public service.

McCain’s supporters would do well to listen to their own candidate’s opinion of Obama, when he described him as a “decent family man” who Americans have nothing to fear from.

I believe at this point he is going to be a very good president, if elected. And I don’t need anyone in the so called “liberal press” to tell me how I think, either.

My dad, in his 80s, is a lifelong Republican and WWII vet who lives in Florida. He said a lot of vets he knows do not like McCain, who they view as a guy who talks a lot about his own service, but who does little to actually help vets.

As a former resident of Missouri, I am amazed that Obama could pull this size of crowds. Part of the crowd is definitely from his home state but yet this is impressive.

I used to be a fan of McCain … he was a moderate and a fiscal conservative. Unfortunately the Rush Limbaugh fans in the Republican party did not like him or think he was a “true” conservative. This forced him to pick the Beauty queen Pentacoastal from tundra which doomed his chances this year.

But Obama has been a force of nature on his own right. I like his message of Personal Responsibility and “middle class” first. The Republican mantra of “trickle down” economics and tax cuts to the riches has been an utter failure. I am ready to move on to something new and I hope the “change is coming”.

I was born and raised in Missouri, now I live in California. Wish I could have attended the rally today and made it 100,001. I have always voted Republican, but this year I am voting Democrat. I cannot believe that McCain, who has always said that he puts Country First and that he would run a clean campaign, has allowed his campaign to sink so low as to allow Sarah Palin to constantly lie about OBAMA when he knows that she lied about TROOPERGATE and he condones it. Then during the final debate, he states how proud he is of her. I am a white mother of 5, and I am expecting my 12th grandchild and 3rd great-grandchild in February, 2009. I want to teach all of them that good character counts.. SENATOR MCCAIN, WHY ARE YOU ALLOWING YOUR CHARACTER AND GOOD RECORD TO BE TARNISHED?? Just because this amount of people showed up just shows who will be receiving the tax rebate for taxes they don’t pay if Obama gets elected. No jealousy just stating a fact. I am not moved by what I see because things can change in a hurry. It is about time the newspapers and the Obama media started letting out who this man really is. To answer the question as to who we are who are voting (actually with early voting where I live in Illinois did vote) are. I am a midd 50’s, middle income (about 50,000 per year) white professional in the health field. McCain’s plan will make my employers health plan contribution part of my taxable icome. His Income tax plan will save me about 300.00 per year in taxes. Obama’s about three times that. We are not sheep, we study the details and take time to separate the truth from the lies and the paranoia. McCain is an honorable man and a war hero but his answers indicate either that after all his years in the Senate he either dosen’t have a clue as to what the American people are looking for. Or he has drunk the far right kool aid of he campain managers and is doing what he thinks he has to in order to get elected. In either case the answer for me, my friends (not all I do have have some friends who are still Republician) and most of the people I work with is clear. OBAMA 08
