Jose El Plomero!!!!

MIAMI –McCain continued his defense of America’s most famous plumber Friday telling South Florida supporters that “Jose el Plomero” is being unfairly attacked by the Obama campaign for asking an important question.

“Senator Obama showed up in Joe’s driveway to ask for his vote, and you know what Joe did? Joe asked Senator Obama a tough question. I’m glad he did it. I think Senator Obama could use a few more tough questions,” McCain told nearly 7,000 supporters, including a significant Cuban cheering section today at Florida International University.

“The response from Senator Obama and his campaign yesterday was to attack Joe…he wasn’t recruited or prompted by our campaign. He just asked a question. And Americans ought to be able to ask Senator Obama tough questions without being smeared and targeted with political attacks,” McCain said.

In an appeal to the large Cuban population in South Florida and at his rally today, McCain also translated Joe the Plumber into Spanish.

Upon bringing up Joe for the first time, McCain called him “Jose el plomero” once before returning to his English name. “We are gonna fight for Joe. We are gonna fight for him my friend,” McCain declared. In another South Florida-specific appeal, the GOP nominee also specifically attacked Obama today on his pledge to meet unconditionally with Raul Castro at a presidential debate last year drawing huge cheers from the crowd.

For the second day in a row, McCain is using Joe Wurzelbacher’s impromptu exchange with Obama about taxes on the stump as jumping off point to attack the Democrat’s tax policy. He also compared Obama’s tax policy to welfare.

“Senator Obama says that he wanted to spread your wealth around. You know what? He coulda had a simple answer to Joe’s question. All he had to do to say to Joe the plumber and millions of small business people around this the country, (was) ‘I won’t raise your taxes,’” McCain said. “But he couldn’t do that because he is gonna raise your taxes…my friends When politicians talk about taking your money and spreading it around, you’d better hold onto your wallet.”

He added, “Senator Obama claims that wants to give a tax break to the middle class, but not only did he vote for higher taxes on the middle class in the Senate, his plan gives away your tax dollars to those who don’t pay taxes. That’s not a tax cut, that’s welfare.”

McCain, who has been trailing Obama in recent Sunshine State polls, also declared today that “there is no doubt whatsoever we will win the state of Florida.”

Instead of Obama addressing why he tells everyone in his debates he will not raise taxes and then turns around, in what he thought was a personal conversation with Joe the Plumber, and tells him “yes” he will spread the wealth, ie raise taxes, Obama and his campaign attacks Joe the Plumber !!! Shameful attempt again not to answer direct and tough questions by Obama….

Am I the only one who thinks that this whole plumber thing is all a bit ridiculous?

That is why McCain is a great wise man.

The democrats are classess for attching a average guy

for asking a simple question. They want to tear him up just because

his answer showed a little what Obama believes with “wealth distribution”.

They are big whiny babies now, Joe you did nothing wrong!

Hi fellow Floridians for McCain/Palin. Floridians do not need more tax especially Florida Business because we are all suffering from higher insurance rates than the rest of the nation. Florida needs to grow independent markets not tax them. We cant allow the same old dems that hold the majority to keep running the economy to the ground. Thank you.

To Joe who wants to buy a plumbing company, good luck with that Joe and what a speaker you are and thank you for that inspiring interview you provided the nation. I ended up with tears in my eyes

First let me point out how stupid this whole thing is. @Pamela…..I’m sorry dear but you need your head examined….calling mccain a great and wise man. Im glad that you and your friends will be defeated along with john mccain and the hideous sarah palin come election day. I expect all of you angry little republicans to hide in your holes for four years and then come back with even dirtier campaign tactics……You poor one track minded folks will not learn from this defeat unfortunately.

O’Bama is a total sham and his lies are catching up with him. Thanks Barry, for helping everyone understand what you really mean when you say 95% will get a tax ‘cut’. The hard working, producing, butt busting working class will be taxed so you can give more welfare to those that wont work because they have been given everything they need, college included. And you want to make our country a Socialistic State so you can do more of it, shame on you and may God forgive you. For you and your cronies to attack this man in the national media when YOU went to his house? What kind of politician are you? You are beginning to show your true self.

The Obama team is now attacking and trying to discredit Joe the Plumber, an average middle class American, because Joe the Plumber has caused Obama to reveal in simple terms that his tax plan involves raising taxes for the middle class in order to redistribute income and expand of the welfare system. I say “thanks” to Joe the Plumber for bringing this issue more to light.

What I don’t get is how Obama said “How many plumbers would make that kind of money”. What is missing from the conversation is how much the family could be making. The tax rates are set on family income and investment income. Is Obama not acknowledging that a spouse could have real job too.

It is terrible how the Obama supporters are triing to trash this poor guy.

You go to Huff Post and they call him a plant, a liar, they say he is not a plumber,

they say plumbers are dumb..and on and on. Joe is a single dad working hard, just

working to get along. He asked a simple question and now watch out. God forbid

someone ask Obama a question he does not like. The media is pathetic also..thye are attaching

this poor guy also. People plese stand up for Joe…it could of happened to any of us.

Obama is not above the rest of the American people wwho want simple answers concerning

different matters.

“Joe you did nothing wrong!” Guess refusing to pay your taxes counts as ok among the commenters here…no matter how fervently the rightwing wishes otherwise, no spin can cover the painful truth that it’s Republicans like McCain who are responsible for the global economy collapse we’re seeing now. The majority of Americans see Obama’s tax cuts for the middle class with net incomes of less than 250K/ year + return to 1999 tax levels as what they are–a balanced approach to restoring the economy while preserving hope of chipping away at the Bush Administration’s massive deficit. Being one of the few in the tax bracket that would receive a tax increase under Obama’s plan, I’m not at all concerned by the prospect of giving more to support good healthcare, etc. What does concern me is the modern socialism we’ve just adopted, consisting of government acquisition of banks driven to ground by greed coupled with Republican deregulation policies. Not to mention that Sec. Paulson is providing the billions of bailout dollars to banks without any preconditions or oversight as to how the money will be used. Paying taxes isn’t as bad as the waste of $ allowed by McCain & his deregulator kin–even Joe can’t flush that piece of reality down the drain.

“Joe you did nothing wrong”–guess refusing to pay taxes is A-ok with you folks. You can fool some of the people some of the time (a high percentage among those here, apparently), but even McCain’s good friend Joe can’t fool all the people he needs to hoodwink now. Obama’s tax cuts for the middle class with net incomes of less than 250K/ year (no doubt including Mr. Oinounou) and hisreturn to 1999 tax levels for those with higher incomes are a balanced approach to restoring the economy while preserving hope of chipping away at the deficit. Joe the Plumber Jose el Plomero is my hero today! First he exposed Obama’s communist leanings; then he showed us all what would happen under an Obama administration. If you state your mind, then the Obama’s thugs in the media will come after you with a vengance and try their best to destroy you! Heinrich Himmel would be proud of these Gestapo tactics.

Free Speech would be a thing of the past in an Obama administration.

Hi Barry OBama, glad you joined us. It is like you to miss the point and try to place the blame on the ‘other’ guy. We understand you do no wrong.
As to the guy not paying his taxes, that is none of your business and for you to send in your hounddogs to try and destroy a citizen just for asking you about your plan is just like Socialistic Islam. It’s not about him though, it is about what YOU said idiot. YOU said you wanted to set up the govt. just like Marxism and give welfare to the ‘little’ guy under him. That is why we are broke as a nation, you liberals and your handouts have broke the worlds economy. Now you want to take more for your ‘little’ Acorn workers and destroy us more. That is Islam suppression, also Marxism that destroyed Russia. Oh, we rebuilt them so Putin could have a country to take over. That kind of foreign aid will stop under McCain. If you get it, you will have to earn it. Sorry, buddy, but you’re about to have to go to work!
