Biden: McCain’s “Fightin’ Mad”
WARREN, OH — On the road in this key battleground state, Democratic VP nominee Joe Biden continued to paint John McCain as an angry man who has nothing to offer the country but partisan political attacks.
Kicking off a two-day bus tour through working class Eastern Ohio, Biden told a crowd heavy with union members that yesterday’s speeches by the two candidates present the clearest contrast yet on where they want to take the country.
“Barack Obama, he made a major speech. He laid out some new idea on how to attack America’s problems. How to get people back on their feet. And what did John McCain do? He laid out some new attacks on Barack Obama,” Biden said.
“The distinction could not be clearer. One guy’s fighting for you and the other guy’s fighting mad. And attacking.”
“In that speech yesterday John McCain said and I quote, ‘we cannot spend the next 4 years as we’ve spent much of the last 8 waiting for our luck to change,’ end of quote. And yet nothing, nothing John McCain and Sarah Palin are proposing is any fundamental change from what’s been happening in the last 8 years,” said Biden.
The Delaware lawmaker said McCain’s attacks are meant to distract Ohio voters from the real issues. ”In John McCain’s defense, I can see why he’d want to distract you. Here in Ohio, the median income has dropped more than $2,000 for families over the last 8 years. Ohioans lost 240,000 manufacturing jobs in the last 8 years. The premiums people pay in their health care policies in Ohio have doubled in the last 8 years,” Biden said.
Ohio is crucial to the hopes of both candidates; McCain is expected to win in conservative rural areas while Obama takes large urban centers, but the small, blue collar towns that dot the state’s Eastern half will be critical in deciding who takes Ohio on November 4th.
Biden made no bones about the state’s importance. “What you decide here in Ohio is likely to determine what the next decade in the United States of America is going to look like. Because Ohio’s likely to determine who the next President of the United States is.”
Biden’s appeal with organized labor is a big reason he’s been deployed here; introducing the Delaware Senator, AFL-CIO Secretary-Treasurer Richard Trumka touted his long friendship with the VP nominee - and had some strong words for those who would vote for McCain.
“If you know anyone out there that’s still thinking about voting for him, you’ve got to make sure that they understand one thing: that a middle class voter voting for John McCain is like a chicken voting for Colonel Sanders, and if the Republicans get in, you’re going to get plucked,” said Trumka.

Excuse me Mr. Biden I would like to say that you do not speak for the majority of edu. low income family. As a single mother for years that never made more than 30,000 dollars a year has always voted republican. Why you ask ? It is very simple- I would never blame anyone for my choices in life. America is suppose to be the land of opportunity if you choose to work for it. Big government and your view that it should help the poor and needy is a farce. It has never worked here and it has never worked in Europe. Welfare has not helped. It has been more a form of slavery.Democrates feed on the poor and uneducated to gain power! They are only tools for you to gain government control.Coming from a poor family of five kids and a disfunctional family in the worst way was no excuse or reason not succeed in life. I chose to get married and pregnant right out of high school. My siblings worked two and sometimes three different jobs to go to college. One is a doctor of microbiology and is working on the cure for cancer. One is a district manager of one the biggest companys in the US. One owns a very large concrete business. This is what America is about. For you to tell people that government is there to help them because life has not been FAIR to them is criminal and socialism. Try empowering them with the knowledge that if they really want to do something they can! Government programs hurt more than they help.So in closing this idea that republicans are for the rich is a social lie. We believe that we are smarter than the people in washington. That we can handle our money better and make decisions for ourselves without the governments interference.
Minister Farrakhan (Muslin) Speaks About Barack Obama Being the Messiah There is something Very Wrong With This!
Well for one thing Obama is NOT my Messiah and never will be and i don’t think he is a messiah to many Americans
So, Biden is so scared of normal American people trying to get the facts and answers.
Interestingly, Obama-Biden are not scared of …
1. Meetings held in Aiyers living room ?
2. The musings of Farrakhan type radicals ?
3. Rezko mafia dealings in Chicago ?
4. Rev Wrights sermons for past 20 years ?
And if you’re a hard working American who pays their taxes and has had a little bit of success, your money will be plucked right out of your hand by Obama and sent to someone who pays no taxes at all! Viva la Welfare State!
McCain the angry man, coming up with stupid ecomonic ideas that he can’t stand up to……
Wow - with a friend like Biden - who needs enemies! He talks out both sides of his mouth - even said not too long ago that he would be proud to run on a ticket with McCain. How can we trust anything he says!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
John McCain consistently gives the impression that he is not all that bright; frequently he appears to not know what to do, he changes positions often and then everything he ever does is always for him and his political status. He has clearly demonstrated all of that over his whole career and then again so obviously when he selected Sarah Palin, who is bazaar, self-focused, dishonest, incompetent and just ridiculous. Additionally we only need to look at the last eight years under Bush-Cheney and where we are today and remember, in spite of all of their claims to be different, who strongly and even arrogantly supported all of it and ask ourselves are we now going to reward and encourage that? It is very hard to see how this presidential race can even be close and it can only be explained by people being distracted and focused on the wrong things, by their giving credit to the garbage being thrown around and neglecting to focus on the issues. If we don’t want more of the same or even worse, then we had better put our biases and prejudices aside, refusing to let our emotions be manipulated, and concentrate on the reality of things. If we don’t, the looser won’t be Barack Obama, it will be us!
We middle-class workers just got royally PLUCKED by the Democratic Congress. Obama will keep plucking us to pay for his low and no income crowd that have no desire to work or raise their standard of living on their own and prefer to rake in welfare, medicaid and any other benefits they can get.
Mccain doesn’t have to bash Obama. Just go back a few months and see what Biden was saying about Obama when he was campaigning for Hillary. Biden says Obama doesn’t have enough experience to answer the phone at 3 AM. He days that Obama’s shady connections with former terriorists should disqualify him from being able to run for president. Joe Biden knows Obama.
I’d like to know when Senators Biden and Obama are going to quit referring to “the last 8 years” being “more of the same” when the past two have had a Democratic majority in both the House & Senate. That means the first 6 were Bush policy; the past 2 Democratic. The question then becomes are you better off in the past 2 years than you were in the previous 6.
Live 16 miles from Warren Ohio and our city is mostly Democrat but I have seen a lot of McCain/Palin signs in many yards ! The Browns really surprised the Giants and on November 4th McCAIN WILL SURPRISE OBAMA!!!!!!!!!
I love you, Joe!

It is a hoot watching the desparation of the Republican Party. What will the Mavericks try next?
Who blames him. It is frustrating the media does not hold Obama accountable for his bad judgment nor his involvements with questionable people/organizations.
Obama wants to take our right away from secret ballets in the union so we will be pressured or punished if we vote not in agreement with the “good old boys”. Why do they need to know how someone votes if not for the leverage they can apply to individuals.
youtube link to Obama promising ACORN part of the make-up of the Whitehouse! The first is the proof that Community Change is intertwined with ACORN.
The second video shows Obama being introduced, with accolades, by Deepak Bhargava, ACORN leader of community reinvestment and fair housing executive director of Center for Community Change.(may I point out the reason for our housing crisis).
The third video is the first but the beginning is cut off so you don’t see who introduced Obama.
So Obama claiming he “didn’t” know will be bull because this is the link that proves Community Change.org is also intertwined with ACORN. Like they said themselves you can put lipstick on a pig but it is still a pig.

Hey Biden tell your followers the truth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Disgusting yet again Obama is caught in a whooper and given a pass.
Joe, no one pays attention to your idiocy. What a boob you are. How did Obama ressurect Ted Baxter to become his running mate? If Biden had a brain, he’d be dangerous. One thing that has stuck is all the “diversions” the BO camps is throwing around to get the topic off his radical and corrupt connections. No one is buying the race talk or the fear monger talk the Dems keep parroting
Biden is wrong. Trumka is wrong. They try to instill fear by playing on working people’s problems, especially in the union states. They say, “we feel your pain.” They make me sick. My husband is a blue-collar worker, but we’re not socialists. Barack Obama wants to “spread the wealth.” We work and take care of our own. We’re not whiners. We don’t WANT a handout. This is not Russia. We value the 2nd amendment. Obama’s record proves that he opposes the 2nd amendment. No one expects union members to buck the union bosses. I hope we surprise them big time in November. We know in our hearts that McCain is the best choice for thinking workers. And by the way, if you educate yourself on McCain’s health insurance plan, you’ll see that we’ll be better off with it.
Josephine Biden, fresh from her facelift, is out on the attack. Wasn’t she claiming to “love” John McCain during the debate with her female rival, Sarah Palin? Go Jo!
McCain is well into the politics of anger, hate and division. When he had no answers to the questions of the voters, he reverted to the uniquely republican tactic of odious personal attacks. McCain and Palin are rude, angry, and not very smart; the republicans had so much better choices.
Of course he’s fighting mad & attacking. He should be and needs to be thanks to the obamabots in mainstream media. Millions of the American population watch CNBC, NBC, MSNBC, among others, who will insist McCain/Palin are “ATTACKING” simply because they are pointing out certain facts: BOs ties to all these radical entities who should make us all question who BO/Biden will be bringing into the forefront of our lawmaking and executive branches of government. I know BO/Biden will put America on the wrong track toward a country that will not even resemble the one we live in today. Many (obamabots) have been fooled into thinking it will be the “right” kind of change, but if they would look at the WHOLE PICTURE, they would see that Obama cannot be trusted. They need to look into his history and record further…investigate, rather than simply listening to all the pro obama coverage and reading books that will only glorify him. I hope everyone reading this votes for McCain and helps him spread the truth: Obama will be a very, very, very devistating choice for our country.
I just saw this video. McCain supporting ACORN, hugging them, saying that they are what makes America great. Shame on you McCain!

McCain is hurting himself on economic issues. He seems erratic. From mid-August back for years McCain claims the “Economy is fundamentally sound.” Nothing Obama or Biden did caused him to say that. He said that for political reasons that fit him that day. Then what does he say in the debates? Below is a quote from the transcript. The coments below are just over 2 weeks after declaring the fundamentals sound.
MCCAIN: No, I — look, we’ve got to fix the system. We’ve got fundamental problems in the system. And Main Street is paying a penalty for the excesses and greed in Washington, D.C., and on Wall Street.
So there’s no doubt that we have a long way to go. And, obviously, stricter interpretation and consolidation of the various regulatory agencies that weren’t doing their job, that has brought on this crisis.
But I have a fundamental belief in the goodness and strength of the American worker. And the American worker is the most productive, the most innovative. America is still the greatest producer, exporter and importer.
But we’ve got to get through these times, but I have a fundamental belief in the United States of America. And I still believe, under the right leadership, our best days are ahead of us.
McCain’s economic ideas benefit those with whom he is familiar: the upper tier of the upper class. Withdrawal of IRA money at 59 with lower tax rate? Great if you have a sizable IRA worth enough to risk dipping into at age 59. Who has that? Those who need a bit extra for the third home payment? Lowering capital gains taxes for stock selling? It’s a terrible idea to encourage more stock sell-offs and profit taking behavior in the market. Really bad idea. A tax on stock trading would be a good idea: Income to offset the bailout and discouraging speculation/short term stock trading which destabilizes the stock market. And the third idea of eliminating taxes on unemployment benefits - small, tiny potatoes. If you’re getting unemployment, 10% more is helpful, but not a solution by any means.
I work three jobs to support my life style, why do I want to share the wealth with people who are not willing to work or get into debt that they cannot afford. Obama is nuts, share the wealth, we all know what that means, look at the Acorn dollars that is spent to pay people to cheat the system, voting is a right in this country a right that we try to instill in other countries what a mockery the Acorn people have made of our system, the people they employ make us a laughing stock in the world. I am sick of it, if you want wealth work for it, live within your means and don’t look for the Government to support you or take from others to keep up your life style. As for Obama’s health care plan you better think twice, there is no free health care look at the care in England and other countries, you want to wait 3 or 4 months or more for a test, the uninsured in this country are not willing to wait a week and many refuse to apply for Medicaid or provide information to the hospitals for Chairty Care, I know I see it everyday, it is called responsibility, pregnant women nine months pregnant that have not applied for beneifts because they have been too busy, children that are eligible for benefits and parents do not take the time to apply, just how much more does Obama what to provide to these people?
The question I would ask in the debate is what do they think abought the mayor of san fran takeing grade school kids without parents consent to city hall to watch a homosexuall wedding, Please stop calling it gay weddings, Thanks Roman
Seems to me Joe is ‘fighting’ and ‘attacking.’ That must be part of the on-the-job-training program.
Joe Biden is an IDIOT.If you vote those 2 jack-asses into power,it is over, you think we are losing jobs now?just wait,Obama and Biden together will cause us to lose more jobs than ever and sink into a depression, for love of country and a job VOTE MCCAIN/PALIN just look at the combined records of them both, higher taxes is always on they’re list.
It would truly be a terrible moment in our nation’s history if McCain and Palin were to be elected on their platform of hate and lies. There was a time I had some respect for McCain. But he has completely lost my respect. In fact I must have been mistaken all along to think that he had any honor. If he becomes president I will still have no respect for him. But even worse if he becomes president it will show the world that the days of an inspiring America are over. If he becomes president the world will see that America is ruled by hate, fear and bigotry and that every other country had better be afraid because a hate filled, angry old man and his ill-informed religious fundamentalist vp will be in charge and they are erratic and filled with negativity. In fact negativity is their platform.
I don’t believe John Mccain is an angry man, I think he is a man who is fighting for his country, and it is the people that are mad at a government that listens to everyone but the American people
Yeah! Obama! WOO!
jobs baby jobs!
A lot of us are fighting mad too Sen. Biden:
http://allanerickson.wordpress.com/2008/10/14/obama-judged-by-the-company-he-keeps/
I can relate to the problems the people in Ohio are experiencing. I was laid off in 1999, yes there were people laid off during the Clinton administration. Where did my job go? Taiwain, China, Malaysia, Mexico. Why? It was too expensive to continue the manufacturing with the environmental regulations that were put into effect. The company was too happy to move jobs where the wages were lower and there aren’t exployees asking for health care.
I’m for protecting the environment and minimizing global warming but when a administration paves the way and even promotes moving jobs to China I tend to get concerned.
I was able to train for a new profession and excel in it during the Bush years. I’m right back to where I was 9 yrs ago. I guarantee if Sen. Obama is elected I will be looking for a new job.
Lets take a good look as to what Sen. Obama has done for Illinois. I mean the whole state of Illinois not just the area’s or groups that got him elected. I’m sure he will win Illinois but it will be interesing to see how many people from that state will vote the other way.
McCain is mad about Acorn and Biden knows their crooks and voter fraud deserves jail time I dont give a sh** who you are…I want my vote to count thats why I desided to vote McCain he’ll get rid of all the crooks in Washington ….self stimuaus plan…. Obhama will give you some extra money how long will that last befor your in the same boat 1 week….getting a few hundred dollars doesn’t do a thing for me I want something that going to give me a payroll check week after week, month after month, year after year..McCain said he would lower taxes for big business that will bring them back to this country thats what we need LONG TERM
Biden is completely divorced from the truth.
maverick (noun) - an independent thinker who refuses to conform to the consensus or accepted views on a subject. Also, someone who refuses to obey the rules. Seriously, isn’t this kind of thinking at the root of our country’s most serious problems. Can we stop using this term, lest we discuss a fabricated war, deregulated industries, the rejection of science, a disregard for the Constitution, and a lack of financial discipline.
Why does Biden call legitimate, debatable points “attacks?” Is he afraid to face these issues straight on? Let’s debate, not fight. Roll your sleeves back down and put your jacket back on. (You did this at a rally as you “challenged” John McCain to see what they did in YOUR neighborhood) Stop inciting hateful behavior; trying to bring out the worst in people! You need to take some responsibility and stop continuing to feed into this media frenzy about “attacks.”
Obama will spend ONE BILLION dollars on getting elected - after promising to take only federal funding for his campaign. Obama wants to “spread the wealth” around, in other words take money from the tax payers and give it to people that pay no taxes. Voter registration fraud by ACORN bought and payed for with both Obama campaign and your tax dollars. Connections to Ayers, Wright, Rezko and Khalidi.
MAD is the only sane response to this kind of nonsense.
I would like to have someone show a side by side comparison of McCain’s and Obama’s life time of service to our country political and otherwise? I’ve heard so much about how little Obama has done, I just would like to see basically both candidates resumes. My company is the USA and we need someone who has experience with economics, foreign policies, deffense and who most importantly will defend the constitution of these United States. I don’t need hype I just want to see the facts. I can easily find all the stuff John McCain has done, but I can’t find hardly anything about Obama’s service to this country. He’s seems to be have been working his entire life in the service of himself and there is nothing in his career that shows me anything that says he has what it takes to be president. I find it hard to believe that McCain hasn’t exploited this mans obvoius selfishness to serve only himself.
Gee Joe,
Perhaps I should have listened to you several months ago when you were saying Obama was too inexperienced? Or should I believe you now? I have never doubted John McCains willingness to fight for America, can’t say the same for Obama, or you now.
The 300 billion mortgage bailout that McIdiot has proposed has been panned and rejected by most pundits and economists as being overly burdensome for the taxpayer. This is the leader you want? No wonder repugs have a lower IQ. Imagine, pay for the property at face value when the mortgage was written then sell it redo the loan at the reduced property value. Loss every time. This could only be thought up from someone who has said, ‘The economy is not something I’m good at’.
Obama/Biden 08
Will the republicans ever be able to really get their message out there despite the liberal media? Conservatives cry, cry, and cry about the liberal media screwing up the country yet, Bush won the last two elections and I have heard about Ayers and Farrakan and Rev Wright for months now. In fact that’s the only reason I have heard to vote for McCain is that Obama is scarey because of his past associations. I actually heard about Obama and Wright a year ago. Anyone who is paying attention to this election knows very well that Obama has links to Acorn, he was on a BOD of a charity org with Ayers, and that he went to church where Wright preached. Anyone who’s been paying attention to the election also knows that McCain was part of the Keating 5, that he cheated on his sick wife with Cindy before they were married, and that he’s an older and out of touch person. I feel I have got plenty of news from all media sources, including Fox. You conservative bloggers who keep predicting the end of America by way of Obama’s “socialism” will all have a big foot in your mouth in a year or two when Obama’s approval rating doubles GW’s. With all the GOP’s might and non-blinking action taking you would think they would have by now slaughtered the liberal media. Cry me a river McCain/Palin supporters! I will love to see you lose! It will all be the media’s fault right? I guess anything good that would happen during an Obama administration would be a delayed result of the genious of the Bush programs too, huh? Think for yourself people! Get news from everywhere you can and develop your own opinions! Those who warn of Socialism under Obama are fear mongering crazies!!!
Sure - and why not. When a patriot sees a couple socialists trying to con the people, cover up their past, engage with groups like ACORN to steal votes etc. that patriot is going to get mad.
100 years ago duels would be fought over all the BS tossed around and the implications to honor. Pity those days are over.
To tell the truth I think that both sides of the fence need to stop with the personal attracts. The supporters on both sides have gone too far. I will have to say I was impressed by how Mr. McCain stopped and stated that Mr. Obama was a good guy and the only thing that they disagree on is politics. This is a race for the Presidency there should be some standard of conduct. I would be more impressed to hear them talk about the differences in policy instead of the differences in the person or association. Talk about how their policies will help me a working person who is worried about making ends meet.
I live in Warren Ohio, and I already voted for Barack Obama. The streets here are lined with Obama-Biden signs. Must be voter fraud, huh?
Ohio isn’t dumb enough to vote for John McCain or Miss Winkers.
Obama-Biden ‘08!
Mr. Biden, McCain doesn’t need to distract voters to keep them from voting for Obama. There are many “true Americans” who decided to vote for McCain when they first heard he was running for president, including myself and my family, friends, and relatives. McCain and Palin I trust, and they are all American. They love this country. And they will win. God bless America!
Keep on earning those McCain points.
That or gb/2/bloginteract.aspx…
I am so sick of hearing we don’t need another 8 years like the same. Bush had the toughest years to deal with. How we all forget so quickly how our Republican President Bush got us though 911, Katrina, the wars, and now the Economic Crisis. In my view he did a darn good job as President and in years to come history books will reveal the truth. Democrats are getting me sick, always placing blame on others and not looking at their own faults. If Obama gets in I can only pray he can handle our country’s affairs as good as Bush. May God Still Bless America, even if most Americans has lost faith.
I will post certain phrases on hear, then look them up in you tube.
In the first and only VP debate Biden said the 1st amendment covered VP duties. The VP could only vote in a tie.
Palin said it was the 2nd amemndment, VP was head of senate, could bote anytime and for tie breakers.
Palin was right.
BIDEN is an idiot who you would think after 300 plus years in the senate would get it right.
NAP TIME IS OVER!! KICK THE DEMS OUT AND TAKE THEM TO THE LIBRARY. MAYBE THEY CAN LEARN SOMETHING..ANYTHING!!!
MCCAIN/PALIN TRADITION~!~~~~~!!~!~!~
I supported John McCain once. But I don’t know who this guy is calling himself McCain. Sarah Palin is just plain scary. She believes in limited government - that is government should only be used to impose on others at gunpoint the values you can’t enforce at home and to wage personal vendettas against your enemies. She’s petty, mean and vindictive. If she is the embodiment of small town values, it’s no wonder people are fleeing small towns. She may have the articulation of Ronald Reagan, but she has the morals of Richard Nixon.
Hmmm, I have submitted to this blog the same response now five (5) times and still it does not appear. Why?
I too disagree with the message that Biden is sending in his comments, but I can not get my reply to appear…???
I apologize for this “test” response…
…but I will add that I do support and am voting for the McCain/Palin ticket.
I just wish Obama supporters would read the fine print before making a decision. Don’t let it be an emotional choice, let it be an informed choice. Think of it as if you were buying a new home!
Dear Franz:
“Those who warn of Socialism under Obama are fear mongering crazies!!!
“SPREADING THE WEALTH AROUND” IS SOCIALISM.
Sincerely,
Fear Monger
We want him “fight-en mad”! This is the only chance we have to save our country from becoming the United Socialist States of Messiah Obama (Louis Farrakhan says when the Messiah Obama speaks the universe will be changed) Now Dam, that is scary!

Kelli, could not agree with you more. I come from a family of 10. We all have made something of ourselves with no handouts from anyone, and now the GOVERNMENT of OBAMA, Biden, Pelosi and Reid want to take it and give it to individuals who have not given their all to making it.
We also took care of our grand parents and our parents during their aged and sick days and still have progressed so why can others not do the same.
How time can change a candidate’s view. During the primaries Biden was critical of Obama not answering questions and trying to divert from answering them. This has proved to me Biden doesn’t care about voter or anyone from the middle class. He is just a politican.
Trumke has it it twisted, it should read, “voting for Obama is like a chicken voting for Colonel Sanders, and if the Republicans get in, you’re going to get plucked.’ Besides, why shouldn’t McCain be mad, he is fighting evil.
