We need a new national direction, a new national conversation. Enough of the petty culture wars, the divisiveness, the sleazy attacks fomented by the Karl Rove Republican approach. Barack Obama has the intelligence and creativity to guide us out of the swamp of economic and international crises that the long Republican rule has brought to us all. Republicans should simple be embarrassed and keep a respectful silence in the face of all the disasters they’ve brought to us–incredible mounds of debt, lies leading to misguided wars, terrible incompetence leading to total embarrassments such as the handling of the aftermath of Katrina. John McCain is better than Bush, yes–slightly. But he will continue to flail about with the burdens of a faulty rightwing ideology and a confused sense of priorities. Sarah Palin was a complete and embarrassing mistake (though she is photogenic and knows how to read a teleprompter). Please–we need fresh, intelligent leadership. Help the rest of us elect Barack Obama.

I am Joe Six-Pack out here trying to make ends meet. I have watched my retirement account lose everything it’s gained in the last five years. Right now I’m undecided on who to vote for, but I would definitely be swayed by a candidate who promises to go after the people responsible for this atrocity. Today I’m hearing AIG was planning another spa trip. Are you kidding me? Somebody needs to go to jail. Angry doesn’t even come close.

Another once respected news periodical in the Obama tank. When will it ever end?

With Obama, it’s not about race. It’s about the ability to make decisions. The ability to see, hear, and understand the events around you and the ideas that are being put forth by your council, your peers, your advisors.
I doubt that Obama is a racist, I doubt he wants to blow up American buildings.
But i don’t doubt he is telling the truth about his association with Ayers. I don’t belive him when he says that in 20 years of listening to Rev Wright talk about the racist white Americans and how much is hates America, that he never heard him. That’s almost 500 speeches. Did he go the church to sleep?
He is not being honest with the American people he wants to lead.

But the real reason that the main stream news and magazines are not reporting Obama’s dishonesty is because of their bias against Republicans, any Republicans, all Republicans. They want to prove, beyond a shadow of a doubt that they can affect the Presidency. Magazines like Time and newspapers like the NY Times and LA Times are proving it. They won’t report that Obama’s philosophy and the programs of the Democratic party will lead us into a purely Socialist and dependant nation.

the reason the stock market is dropping is because investors are pulling out because of fear of a obama win they don’t want to pay 50% capitol gains tax they’ll pull out now and only pay 23% and reinvest after he leaves !
