I think if you look at what McCain said this will work significantly better than the orginial $700B dollar bailout. We need to cut the banks out of this so they do not significantly earn anymore money off the back of the hard working public.

Mccain’s plan is the only one that makes any sense. Bypass the crooks in the banking industry, go straight to the people that need the help. Obama says that this plan will be more costly to the taxpayer. This is a stupid comment –the taxpayer is already on the hook for the 700 billion all Mccain is doing is rearraigning the funds to go to the people that need help instead of to the crooked bankers. Of course Obama wants it to go to the crooked bankers so he can continue to receive huge kick backs for protecting them against any regulation. Mccain’s plan is the only plan that can possibly stop the crash of the housing industry. Stop the foreclosures and make money available for new RESPONSIBLE lending to responsible people that need a house to live in. Obama has already flip flopped on this issue twice since the debate.

I think the mortgages should be adjusted. I would help reduce the number of foreclosures. I can’t help but wonder…What’s going to happen to all of those poor people that participated in REVERSE mortgages when the getting was good? Have they lost the right to their homes AND their monthly checks now?

First off, McCain is stealing that plan, from Hillary…

Second off, it sounds like BIG government to me…

3rd, it is not going to bring jobs to America…. so they still wont be able to keep their houses

Palin 2012, see….why do you call it stealing? Who cares whose plan is whose. The bottom line is the best plan for the people should be implemented. It’s bad enough Washington is irresponsibly bi-partisan. American taxpayers shouldn’t have to be. If both parties worked together, there wouldn’t be a “My plan, your plan” but rather “Our Plan”. Why are we all putting up with this political rhetoric in a time when this nation should be united to solve this economic crisis?

McCain’s plan wouldn’t replace the bailout– it would come on top of it!

How many of you dislike socialism? If you can tell me how McCain’s weak plan doesn’t qualify, I’d like to hear it.

you can’t give $300bill more to these greedy bankers! it’s a black hole. the smart thing to do would be to take the $300bil and create more jobs to replace the ones outsourced due to tax incentives to the large corporations by the republicans. you can’t ship the American workers jobs overseas and expect out of work homeowners to make any kind of mortgage payment, so why pour your tax money into this bottomless pit ti’s only going to go to the banks so they will have the funds for more extravagant vacations. the top management of AIG should be taken out in the middle of wall street and shot there a bunch of in your face thieves who think they can fu(k the American tax payer in public and get away with it. I’m thinking seriously about voting for HOUSE FOR SALE BY OWNER. he seems to have the best yard signs.

If mainstreet is so importtant to Obama how come he believes a plan to help regular people in trouble is bad put the bailout of Wall Street is good.

socialrepublican party, the party of the super rich. Sh!tcan the mortgage bailout, just a scam for more tax dollars for the rich. to save these homes? create MORE JOBS. $300 billion dollars will create a hell of a lot of jobs rebuilding the nations infrastructure-developing and deploying alternative energy sources you may think alternative energy is a nothing industry that’s the impression the republicans and the big oil companies want you to have if we are to achieve energy independence we must invest heavily in alternative energy. the price of fuel will go down. the air will be cleaner don’t throw our money in a black hole, put it to work.

The money -would- be going to the banks. The principle of McCain’s plan is to buy the loans, at face value, from the banks, and then charge the homeowner less. So basically, a bank gave a bad loan on a home, it doesn’t lose a dime. McCain’s plan isn’t about homeowners, it’s about banks. All the money goes to the banks.

This AD is misleading the public about Sen John McCain’s intent to help the homeowners. If you think that Sen John McCain will just give away taxpayers money to help out homewoners, you are one of those people who believe every word of OBAMA! The reporter is asking the wrong question of who would you trust to take us out of this economic crisis. The question they should ask is who should you trust to lead this nation! And the answer is McCain! Also, they should not be asking what Obama knows about Ayers. It’s what he is not telling us about Ayers.
