Biden: McCain Has Something To Say? Say It To Our Face

ST JOSEPH, MO - Joe Biden wasn’t impressed with John McCain’s style at Tuesday’s Presidential Debate.

It’s not about policy — where, as Biden told the crowd Missouri Western State University’s Looney Complex, he’s prejudiced towards his own ticket. Rather, it’s about the unwritten rules of the old neighborhood.

“All of the things they said about Barack Obama in the TV, on the TV, at their rallies, and now on Youtube and everything else,” Biden said — referring to McCain and Palin tying Obama to Weatherman bomber Bill Ayers and accusing him of “palling around with terrorists.”

“John McCain could not bring himself to look Barack Obama in the eye and say the same things to him,” he said to cheers. “In my neighborhood, you got something to say to a guy, you look him in the eye and you say it to him.

Biden wasn’t too taken with McCain’s new proposal to use $300 billion in taxpayer funds to buy bad mortgages from banks, either.

“He wasn’t going to buy them for what the bank paid for them, he was going to buy them for their market value was. And then on Wednesday morning, he said — his campaign said no, we made a mistake. We are going to buy them exactly what the bank paid for them,” Biden said. “He’s gonna spend $300 billion of your money so the banks don’t lose a single penny.”

“I know it sounds like fiction, but I’m not making this up,” said Biden. “He’s gone to the point of actually wanting to reward banks and lenders for their greedy behavior. Ladies and gentlemen, this is not a steady hand.”

Since Biden returned to the trail, his attacks on McCain have focused on his negativity and inability to take a position; Biden referred to McCain “lurching” from position to position three times in today’s event. But Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill chose to focus on the increasingly ugly nature of the campaign in her introduction - calling McCain’s campaign “petty, small, and personal.”

“The politics of fear and smear,” McCaskill called the McCain strategy. “They want America to be afraid of this inspirational, smart, strong, humble, patriotic, god fearing family man. That’s what they want. I’ll tell you what the United States of America should be afraid of. They should be afraid of four more years of Bush economics.”

If Obama wins, within 6 months there will be a special investigator (much like Whitewater) looking into his ties to terrorist and his (potentially illegal) involvement in the Kenyan elections.

With all due respect, seems to me that Sen. McCain has an opportunity to say it to his face in the next debate. Wanna bet he doesnt do it? Sen. Obama has been “vetted” for two years, including by Hillary Clinton’s campaign. We know him. Sen. McCain is trying to distract from the issues.

McCain has repeatedly stated he WOULD NOT go negative. In July, he said “it has NO PLACE in his campaign”. Yet, his campaign is running negative ads attempting personal attacks on Sen. Obama - the ads do not speak of Sen. McCain’s plans at all, just attack Sen. Obama.

SO

Is he a hypocrit and a liar? (ie. saying one thing and doing the opposite.)

OR

Is his campaign out of his control? (ie. others are making the decisions for him.)

IF either of these are true, do we want our Country run this way?
(President Bush has done both for the past eight years - is our country better off now?)

How can Biden criticize anyone, especially when he can’t even tell the truth??? What a bunch of hipocrits in the Democrat party?? These are the people, the americans think are leaders. I’m appalled at people’s lack of concern for required credentials/morals in their leaders??? Besides, has anyone thought about what a racial divide this will create in our country if Obama is to get in. I’m bettering the request for hand outs increases and us taxpayers (5% of americans) are hit with the burden. Won’t be surprised if a lot of businesses close when Obama starts increasing the taxes. Do people even think about the pressures their employers have??

If the democrats get in, its only a matter of time before their lies catch up with them, but what state will that leave all of us again???? If people don’t start taking on responsiblity for whatever it is they do on a daily basis, things will never get better. Also need to think about voting out unlimited term limits for the senate/congress or the cess pool will never be cleaned out.

Do your homework america. Go look up your candidate’s past and make an enformed decision instead of an emotional one.

How many reasons can there be for McCain not to accuse Obama face-to-face of inappropriate associations and “palling around” with terrorists and unpatriotic preachers? What counts is that Obama WILL NOT raise taxes on those making less than $250,000 and WILL NOT make seniors with income under $50,000 pay any taxes.

Why aren’t people harder on Sarah Palin on the right? She talks about speaking the truth but is under investigation for ethical infringements in Alaska, she never gives news conferences to the “media elite” who are trying to inform voters… Why are we so against knowledge, education in our candidates, what is true and what feeds our fears (like in Iraq)… I feel like the McCain/Palin ticket’s just feeding fears at this point, hatred and anger, things that don’t unite us as a country, saying we’re against the east and the “elite” unless you make enough money to be suddenly really important again… Why divide us like that? It’s not easy getting into Harvard law - that doesn’t make Obama great, but you should respect that instead of childishly calling him names like elitist. That’s just one example.
Look, if Palin could make sense and not just throw out barbs that are really hypocrital then I’d at least listen, but she’s asking people who Obama is when we really don’t know who she is, though we’re finding that out. She doesn’t seem nice or positive at all. She better watch out because she’s probably turning more people off than on at this point. Obama and Biden are ignoring her but she’s got a lot to attack if people wanted to on that side (other than the media/bloggers)…
I really hope that people do consider the issues in this election instead of just name calling and finger pointing. That’s how Bush has been elected twice, and if you’re happy with him then I don’t know what else to say…

Lets look through the bankruptcy case my ex filed and I challenge you to explain why at least 11 creditors were listed in front of me and why for the duration of the pending of that case, I RECEIVED $0.00 in child support. I am sick and tired of the GOP constantly getting the short end of the stick. All I have heard for the entire campaign is Obama saying “4 more years” of failed Bush policies.

I really haven’t heard any new ideas or really ANY ideas out of him but we need change.

I truly hope that America will wake up and see this election for what it really is. A manufactured candidate that no one really knows that much about. He has disappeared for moments of his history with no known address and no one at Columbia remembers him… what is that about?

But, I guess it is also wrong to question anything about this man as it is racist to do so. No Ayers, No Wright, No Rezko.. we are all just mean spirited white men with hoods over our heads according to them.

How are the McCain attacks any different from the Obama media attacks? “Say it to our face” is just a way to deflect the question elsewhere and/or stall for time until they can come up with a counter argument, that’s if they even need to come up with one. Obama seems content just to prance around and state certain keywords that get uninformed voters to go, “Hey yeah, I like that keyword too!” Nevermind the fact that Obama is the most underqualified candidate in US history. I think you guys are missing the point. I think many people figure that if McCain doesn’t think the issue is legitimate enough to raise during a debate, it’s hardly legitimate enough to gain him any new votes. If he really wants answers and thinks it’s critical, spend some time in a debate to ask the person from whom he wants the answers. If it’s not worth the debate time, many voters won’t feel it’s worth their time.
