McCain/Palin Economic Plan

Invest $1K in Delta Airlines 1 yr ago,
Today worth $49.

Invest $1K in AIG 1 yr ago,
Today worth $33.

Invest $1K in Lehman Brothers 1 yr ago,
Today worth $0.

Drink $1K of Bud in the last year,
Recycle cans. Today worth $214.

Average Citizen walks 900 miles per yr &
drinks 22 gals of alcohol per yr.
That’s 41 miles per gal!

Therefore, the best current investment plan.
Drink Bud & recycle. Called the 401-KegOfBud.

I am still amazed that after nearly 2 years of running for the highest office of this great country so few facts are known or released by the media concerning Obama's family in Kenya. Do we really know who this man is?

Come on. Seriously? McCain & Palin are looking to the future? Obama is living in the past? Ayers was a long long time ago, the definition of past. Keating speaks directly to the bungled economic crisis today. The fact that McCain still has the architects of the S&L scandal as his economic advisors qualify the issue as "current". If he didn't still have them advising him, he could claim past. Unbelievable.

McCain does not have a good economic plan, "freeze everything" is not the answer but he can't get more specific than that. He got dinged major yesterday for his campaign calling for $1 trillion in cuts for Medicare/Medicade (see Oct. 6th WSJ), showing us where his "freezes" are headed. Iraq is obviously off the table for him, but he's already stated that nothing's off the table on social security. Issuing blanket statements like "we'll freeze spending" does not inspire confidence.

John McCain is the epitome of a politician selling his soul to win his party's nomination. It is a shame what this election has done to a once honorable man. That his reputation is forever tarnished this close to the end of his career is an absolute shame. Greed infects us all differently, for some it's money, others power. I think McCain would sell me out in a minute if it could increase his chance of getting elected. That is not the POW we hear so much about. The judgement he used in picking his campaign advisors and Palin were all I needed to see to know that his glory days are in the past.

On economic policy, from non-partisan FactCheck.org, see below:
McCain has promised that he will balance the budget by 2013. That's unlikely. The nonpartisan Tax Policy Center says that without serious spending cuts, McCain's tax proposals will actually increase the size of the debt between $5.1 trillion and $7.4 trillion over the next 10 years. So balancing the budget would require cutting federal spending by 25 percent. McCain, however, has proposed very few specific spending cuts.

It's certainly true that Obama's proposed spending is higher than his projected revenues, and Obama has made no secret of the fact that his plan will not result in balanced budgets for the next four years. According to the Tax Policy Center, without spending cuts elsewhere, Obama's proposals could lead to between $3.6 trillion and $5.9 trillion in new debt over 10 years.

I`m still trying to figure out what changes Obama will make . To the constitution , the bill of rights ? or at the nursery changing diapers. His background from what is known of it is getting scarier by the day. What will it be like on Halloween?
