I live in Florida and do not know anyone who has been polled. I do NOT believe the poll statistics since the many folks I know here are all voting for McCain.

In the midst of what looks to be a bruising campaign battle which will probably get very, very, nasty, I was reading the New Yorker of September 15, 2008, and re-discovered the “fact,” on page 56, that John McCain has never been baptized. Normally, I would gloss right over this “fact” but “the fact is” (how I hate that phrase) an un-baptized John is non-Christian (the person not the room). The basic qualification in all denominations is baptism, so how does John claim to be a Christian when by definition he is not? Where one might go with this flag-lapel pin type little tidbit I do not know, but when Barack’s religious credentials are challenged as often as they are on the internet it raises all kinds of interesting possibilities to distress John about his religious beliefs.

If John really supports good Christian values shouldn’t he be a “real Christian”? Is he afraid to proclaim Jesus is his savior, and be immersed in the Baptismal font of the Phoenix Baptist Church where he claims membership? Is he actually an agnostic or perhaps, perish the thought, an atheist? Is he afraid to tell us what he really believes? Is John, who lived 6 years in Viet Nam, actually a Buddhist? And, just think about poor Sarah! Here she is, a good saved Pentecostal, who is forced to associate with a non-Christian. I would think she might be worried about the condition of her soul after associating with someone who is so weak kneed that he is afraid to be baptized! She may need her witch doctor to do an exorcism!! Yes, John is a Maverick, a person who doesn’t have the strength of character to be either fish or fowl. He stands by himself! Not owning his non-Christian faith, and not proclaiming what he really believes.

Hoooray! High time people saw how McCain put himself and politics first and chose a DUD for a running mate! He thinks people can be tricked by his slogan, Country first! Palin is blank stupid and unfit for any public office! Perhaps the people of Alaska have a lower IQ to elect her for thier Governor! There is a small problem with voters, a great portion never get polled and that makes the polls a little strange to me.

Obama is after all from my home state Illinois where corruption in government is pervasive. There is a plethora of investigations going on here — in State of Illinois and Chicago. Yet, Obama — the so called “agent for change” decided to join the corruption wagon. Obama could have made a difference in our Illinois politics, in our education system, in our high tax structure as he promised to do in his run for the Senate - instead he chose to look the other way and catapult himself to a national level and do NOTHING for Illinois. I expect only more of the same — promises, promises that he knows he will not keep.

Not that am sure that it would do any good, but would somebody tell McInsane. He is acting erratic, with false charges, smears, ect… Maybe he should consider this political career going forward. After doing so many of the things he tried to convince us that he wouldn’t due to his honor, love for country, straight maverickism, this will pretty much be the end of his career. The polls from Fox are always the closest no matter what other polls say, Infact, I am hoping Fox does not declare their own winner of this election inspite of the outcome of the voting process!

I think everyone knows Fox is pro-McCain… and so it is incredibly difficult to think of Fox in terms of “fair and balanced”….

Foxnews is doing truly the McCain camp a great disservice by singing to the tune that the base wants to hear. I know most independents are put off by the blatantly unbalanced coverage.

The Fox poll numbers are questionable… can we then trust anything else?

I live in Missouri, and I know for yard signs, it is about 10 McCain to 1 Obama, this is in both St. Louis and Kansas City. At my child’s middle school, where they did a mock election, McCain won 59% to Obama’s 41%. This is usually a reflection of the parents’ vote. I think there are many McCain supporters who have known for a long time how they will vote, and I think the poll may have favored democrats or one geographic area. At the VP debate in St. Louis, there were two big rallies for McCain/Palin, and only one small one for Obama/Biden. There seems to be a lot more support for McCain in Missouri than this poll would suggest. My friends in KC say the same thing, and they are voting republican for the first time. The issue with most is Obama’s lack of experience and questionable relationships. His wife is not viewed favorably either, which is probably why they keep her off the campaign trail.

Obama will win. McCain is losing it. (His mind that is)

I wish everyone would stop quoting and conducting polls. The polls in 2004 were incorrect and discouraged people from voting because they thought the race was already decided.

Well, it will be close but there are many Independents out there like myself who will vote for McCain. And then there are those women who feel that Hillary was cheated and they will vote the McCain-Palin ticket. And there are those who will vote for McCain because Hillary will then stand chance in 2012. And, there are those out there because of race, age, gender, religion will let that affect their voting.
The mortgage crisis came about because of liberal reasoning and everyone jumped on the bandwagon. The Fannie Mae and Freddys were kind of kickbacks for the Democrats and in getting votes, just as they are now using it’s failure for votes.
The credit card bounce will be next. Appraisals were bumped up and the banks signed on and the RE guys made a bigger commission and the middle class guy got more for his buck but not within his income and then they all went wild.
Hope folk know this. And, of course, the gov’t had to salvage things. So, again, the Dems won in this regard. Talk about rewards for failures !!!

In view of the fact that about only 40% of Americans even vote, it is astonishing to realize that those who do are doing so for many reasons, and some to effect outcome without a brain in one’s head but for personal gain, or allegiance to the party.

By the way, Biden is a heartbeat away from himself for he is aged and also has medical problems (heart related). And, Hillary is yet standing by. Her stance does have standing; and I do not see her embracing Obama with thrills but a bit of chill; she is loyal to party and waiting and waiting. Women of America will vote for Palin for Hillary.

I believe the people that make this country great can do more with their money than if given to the Goverment. I think we have all seen what happens when the Gov. has the money and or control of the money. Case in Fact — 700 billion dollar bailout — this is a joke. The bailout should be common sense to where the money should go. It should not go to tax breaks for Race Tracks, it should not go to wooden arrows for kids. If the greedy sons of b’s who started all this would go back to the bad mortgages and renew the loans in a way to help the individuals not have to go bankrupt or go into foreclosure this would be a mood point.
