Cameron Interviews Post-Debate Palin

ST. LOUIS –- Fox News’ Carl Cameron conducted the first post-debate interview with Sarah Palin this morning. The extensive interview went over last night’s Vice-Presidential face off, her debate prep, campaign strategy, media access and the hits she has been getting for not having more access to the media, and of course the much talked about and criticized interview she did with CBS’s Katie Couric.

Palin told Carl that she was “annoyed” at some of the interviews she has done, “Ok I’ll tell you honestly the Sarah Palin in those interviews is a little bit annoyed because it’s man no matter what you say you are going to get clobbered. If you choose to answer a question you are going to get clobbered on the answer,” Palin said. “If you choose to try and pivot and go on to another subject that you believe that Americans want to hear about you get clobbered for that too.”

She then aimed to defend herself for some of the criticism she got for the Couric interview. She was blasted for not answering Couric’s question on any of the periodicals she reads or even a Supreme Court decision that she disagreed with. She defended some of the circular answers she gave the CBS anchor saying that she did not get to cover some of the topics she saw as important, “But in those Katie Couric interviews I did feel that there were a lot of things that she was missing in terms of an opportunity to ask what a V.P. candidate stands for. What the values are represented in our ticket. I wanted to talk about Barack Obama increasing taxes, which would lead to killing jobs. I wanted to talk about his proposal to increase government spending by another trillion dollars.”

She then slammed Barack Obama calling him disqualified to be President of the United States, “Some of his comments that he has made about the war that I think may — in my world– disqualifies someone from consideration as the next commander in chief.” Palin said, “Some of his comments about Afghanistan and what we are doing there supposedly– just air raiding villages and killing civilians. That’s reckless. So I wanted to talk about things like that. So I guess I have to apologize about being a little annoyed, but that is also an indication of being outside that Washington elite and being outside the media elite also and just wanting to talk and just wanting to talk to Americans without the filter and let them know what we stand for.”

Stay tuned to Fox News all day as Carl Cameron reports on his interview with Palin. Also keep checking back here as this is just the first installment of my blogs on their tete a tete

I think Palin is funny. She of all people is saying Obama is not qualified. Wow with her huge track record she should be talking. She seems to only circle around the six or seven things that her campaign has wriiten for her. If its not energy or the war she slams Obama or talks about being a hockey mom. I have a degree in History and I think that whoever is leading our nation should be atleast smarter then I am and I think that both Presidential canidates are and so is Biden. Why in the world did he not pick a different VP?

Comment by Bud Donnell

Did anyone see the joke she made about how old Biden is? I saw this on youtube. This is funny since she doesn’t seem to have the common sense to relaize that her running mate is crazy old. Come one where in the world did he find this woman? Hillary blows this lady out of the water. If he wanted to get the women’s vote why not take someone who is intellegent like Condoleezza Rice. My last dig on Palin is that she didn’t even know what the role of the VP was last night during the election. I have a history degree and I know what the role is. Come on McCain, get a real VP running mate.

Comment by Not a Kool-Aid Drinker

I could not be prouder of my Vice Presidential nominee. Palin carried herself last night with grace and confidence in a time when all of mainstream “brainwashed” media was against her. Fox is the ONLY network that is giving her an unbiased approach. I find it comical that America is so quick to poll and claim that she does not have enough experience when Obama is quite inexperienced himself! She defended McCain and actually had incredible insight; when she proclaimed that the tax break Obama is speaking so highly of for people making less than $250,000 will actually be taxing much of the small businesses in America – I was cheering at my television! What Obama is offering America is a quick band aid and a magic trick that will give Americans temporary relief. The “fairness” that Biden is stating is not the solution to our economic crisis. What McCain and Palin are offering is a long lasting plan – where small businesses can thrive and offer people more jobs; that stimulates an economy! By Obama’s plan to tax small business owners (who WILL fall into the $250,000 people that in Obama’s quotes “deserve to be taxed”) will make the owners struggle. Palin has been in the spotlight for weeks now but she is not to be underestimated. She spoke so plainly last night – for all you criticizers BECAUSE she has too! At this point and time she needs to reach people that do not have a clear understanding of politics and just want to hear how this election can effect them, do not mock this because Obama is doing the exact same thing, even to a worse degree. You do not feel that by Obama’s campaign to go around in buses picking up homeless people and feeding them to get them to register is disgusting and speaks to the lowest points of politics. McCain is NOT another Bush – he is not related to him, is not his friend, is not him – either way this election goes there will be change in America. I want a President that did not need to stoop to the lowest of lows of corruption to pick up homeless people for their vote. I want a President with character – I want McCain. Wake up America – stop drinking the Kool-Aid. If you are as intelligent as bloggers writing on this blog say they are then prove it.

Comment by ryan2483

She did indeed prove herself again and again last night. Her ideas are fresh and good. She was spot on with how Obama’s taxes will effect small businesses, and I loved when she talked about energy sources (”the chant is ‘drill, BABY, drill!’ “) Good God she’s awesome!

This is to the guy named Bud. You are a total idiot. You can tell you are a far left or right Democrat. Bidden did a wonderful job talking like a polotician (SALES MAN). Palin is smart and has it right about the true hard working American people that do not ask for hand outs all the time from the Goverment. Do your math and see if you can make the Oboma plan balance out. GOOD LUCK I will help you. It does not………………………………….. McCain and Palin are the ticket and if you were smart you would jump on board.

When and where did Sarah Palin receive her doctorate? I heard her introduction last night as Dr. Palin. Can not find that dotorate in any of her files

You know what is a joke .Its the American people who are willing to put there lives and country in the hands of an individual who associates himself with William Ayers (Domestic Terrorist) Rev Wright (Racist preacher) A.C.O.R.N the list just goes on and on.Who –tell me please just name one honest honorable person this man associates with. WHAT A JOKE !!!!

Comment by Mary Roberts

I never realized how tough Katie Couric is. Palins comments might boost Courics ratings, but I don’t think it will boost Palins. A VP will probably speak with much tougher people than Katie Couric, unless they make more preconditions to meet before speaking with her.

Comment by meems

Hey, NOT A KOOL AID DRINKER, not denying that Palin is charming in a “folksy” sort of way, but I certainly want a VP that is at last smarter than me. She can’t even speak a coherent sentence., for goodness sakes.

Maybe it’s not the kool aid you’re not drinking that is your problem, because all you have to do is unplug your ears and listen to the woman.

Comment by Mary Roberts

Making Katie Couric out to be a tough interviewer should help Courics ratings, but not Palins. I think a Vice President would have much tougher individuals to speak with, unless they increase the amount of pre-conditions that must be met before allowing someone to speak with her.

SARA PALIN PROVED HER SELF TO BE ABLE TO GOVERN.SHE DID THAT NOT ONLY BY TALKING BUT BY GOVERNING WELL IN ALASKA.WITH 80% APPROVAL.SHE ALSO WILL BE SURROUNDED WITH THE SAME ADVISERS AS MCCAIN,IF SHE BECOMES PRESIDENT.BECAUSE OF HER DISICIONS IN ALASKA AS GOVERNOR.SHE WILL DO THE SAME SHOULD SHE BECOME .AND AMERICA WILL BE AHEAD WITH HER BRIGHT IDEAS ON ENERGY AND ECONOMY.

Um…Bud…your man Biden stated that the roles of the VP were listed in Article 1 of the constitution…with your history knowledge…is that the right answer? Oh, and two times last night he said that McCain and Obama voted the same….fact check that Bud. I think we should call Biden a Mini-Obama, after all he is gone against what he was for just to be VP, I guess that is the only chance he has left to get into the white house is to bend over and take it up the butt as Obama’s VP - how sad.

Oh and can someone please tell me how Obama is going to pay for all these changes he is going to make? Right, you can’t, because all he has stated are promises - aren’t we all tired of promises?

I can’t wait until Feb 2009 if Obama gets elected - he is going to do the same thing that Clinton did and raise taxes when we promised to lower them….However Democrates will make up some excuse while we Repulicans laugh in your face and take the office back 4 years later….All of this of course IF Obama gets elected.

God help us all

Comment by CB

Did anybody hear Joe Biden say that Obama will not raise taxes on anybody making less than $250k? If so, you heard him lie to your face. If Obama does as he says he will and eliminates the Social Security payroll tax cap, you get a tax hike if you earn more than $90k. Is that little fact in the news? What about Biden’s comment about Pakistan’s nuclear weaponry having the capability to target Israel? All Pakistan has for delivery systems are Ghauri rockets (a No Dong MRBM copy) and F-16s, neither of which have a range to get anywhere near Israel. Any critique from the press? Not the comments of a debate winner…

I’m from England (UK) and it scares me that McCain and Palin are even up for nomination

Comment by Sebrina Alfonso

If I were McCain I would still keep her under wraps. She doesn’t know that much more and just like her convention speech she will say the same thing over and over until we are sick of it and those who look through rose colored glasses will start to lose the spark about her again.

To say you didn’t answer questions because you think AMericans wanted to hear other things is just another way of saying I don’t know the answer therefore I will revert back to the words on the paper in front of me.

TRuth is, Republican loyalists will vote for her just like Democrats will vote for their ticket.
Nothing changes. Those of us who actually LISTEN can hear what both candidates said and didn’t say.

Great post. I agree

I found it most amusing when Mr. Biden kept trying to say McCain was like Bush she said “There you go Joe, Looking into the past”… hahahahaha

So true.

I LOVE seeing that Sarah is herself once again and not sound-bited, cut, spliced, and modified to suit the MSM’s agenda.

Conservatism wins!

A woman who can’t even answer the questions put to her calls Barack Obama disqualified to be President of the United States? That’s ridiculous. All I heard last night in the debate was Palin avoiding questions by changing the subject back to energy or praising herself and McCain as mavericks. She didn’t even seem to know the meaning of achilles heel. She just regurgitated her memorized lines back to the public — there was no thinking on her part, except to find a way to keep from straying from her talking points. She’s an embarrassment to this country.

Comment by Michelle Anderson

For “Nota Kool-Aid Drinker”

Maybe she just spoke plainly to reach uneducated, unintelligent, uniformed people like you!Half of the stuff you hear, you probably just believe it because you want it to be true. Get your facts straight. If Obama’s campaign did pick up the homeless people, is that so bad? At least he has sense enough to know that their vote and their voice counts! McCain and Palin could care less about the homeless and anyone else who is not in their economic class. And they will do nothing to help those people. Let me guess, how many homeless people have you helped???
But understand this….you are in a small group of supporters! It amazes me that the day before Palin spoke at the RNC, everyone was wondering what the heck McCain was doing! After she recited what was written for her, you people changed your tune!! After just one little recitation!! Then after all the screwed up, embarassing interviews she gave, her party sequestered her and coached her to only answer what she thinks she knows, and recite what was again pounded into her, go on the attack trying to belittle others, and you people rally again! She shared no genuine facts last night! Sure she held her own, she did what she does best to cover her lack of knowledge of certain facts…she directed the conversation to other topics or made some little wise crack! Are you for real??? The woman is good at performing, so am I…I took speech, debata and drama…you just better pray hard if the McCain ticket wins cuz I can guarantee you it won’t be pretty the next 4 years!

I think Sarah Palin did very well in last nights debate. Although, I do feel that she lacked substance in her answers and that Senator Biden did not. However, in her defense, she has only had 5 weeks to prepare on topics such as the economy, foreign relations and health care etc etc. That being said, I believe it to be true that she definitely stood her ground in this debate. I wished that that both sides would have been a bit more aggressive. I almost think that both sides were afraid to hurt the other sides feelings. This debate has nothing to do with peoples feelings, but rather to show which ticket is the best choice to lead America during these troubled times. Americans for the most part could care less about the fact that you can identify a problem, but what are you going to do to fix it. Now the problem in debates is that you have huge time constraints that will not allow you to go into too much detail on your plan to fix the problem(s) that we face. Also, I expect our leaders to be dead honest on every question asked. I have read plenty of reviews that say Palin wasn’t truthful on this issue or Biden lied about this. The sad thing is how well was the lie told that was convincing enough to held as truth. Lastly, I am very much afraid that Americans across the board are doing their homework and studying each candidate throughly enough to make and educated vote at the polls.

Comment by Kirk

Again Carl and Fox did a fair job and gave her a chance to answer questions wihtout the BS from the MSM

Comment by Betty Crow

Sarah was great, she is main street like all of us. What the Washington Know-it-alls don’t seem to know is history. If Obama gets to do what he wants to do in taxes, it will have the same effect on the economy as the Smoot-Havely Tariff Act did in deepening the great depression after the stock market crash. I suggest some history lesson may help the Obama Biden ticket as they aren’t aware of who was president at that time or that only very few families owned a radio which was the equivilent of our TVs, but TV didn’t exist then. We need Sarah to get our energy problem turned around.

Comment by Jill

She is not the right candidate at this serious time. It’s not about experience. It is about knowledge and ability to reflect and consider and make thoughtful and appropriate decisions. It’s about blinking. She is not in Barack Obama’s league. John McCain showed reckless disregard for this country to choose this unknown unknowledgeable woman to be his running mate. There were SO MANY women he could have chosen that were eminently more qualified. Her debate performance was really no better than her interviews have been. No one followed up with a, “What do you mean by that?” or a “Can you give me an example?”

She’s light.

The Republican party thinks that the average American woman is stupid and gullible. Anyone with any common sense (and over the age of 12) could plainly see that Palin didn’t answer any questions directly. She has no substance. She’s all corny one-liners and winks and goofy grins. If McCain truly wants to put country first, why would he chose a running mate that so obviously should not be VP (or a Governor), instead of choosing one that’s the best for the country?

I watched the debate last night and was blown away by Palin.

I thought she would exhibit her lack of knowledge on foreign affairs, but instead she showed that she is quick in study on all major foreign affairs. I think no wonder she rises so quickly in the political arena.

I think she IS the fresh hope and true change we are all looking for to represent us in Washington!

Comment by Palin Supporter

I love how people get upset when Obama’s experience is questioned but have no problem questioning the experience of the Governor of a state who is on the BOTTOM of the ticket. Let’s remember she is not running for the office of President and Obama is…thus questioning Obama’s experience is legitimate.

Comment by Matt Helmick

For “Not a Kool-Aid Drinker” has it all backwards: Palin offered few details on McCain’s policies (and thus avoided another “Couric interview moment”) and Biden effectively disproved her misconstrued view of Obama’s tax policies as well as her other vacuous attempts at argument.

The real story on the debate is that the moderator chose to ignore Palin’s avoidance of the questions and chose instead to answer her own questions (the only ones she was prepared to answer). Biden was gracious in ignoring this. The moderator should have had Palin revisit the questions she ignored.

When you allow conduct of a debate in this manner, you end up with slogans and sound bytes rather than real content. Maybe the Fox News crowd is happy with such empty platitudes, but the nation needs more than that in these troubled times.

Finally, to suggest that Fox News is the only network that is unbiased in the coverage of Palin is good for a belly laugh.

Comment by Theresa

Why is Palin only doing interviews on FOX news? Because you do not ask her the difficult questions. The Couric interview was very appropriate. Couric was asking Palin to back her statements up with facts. You can’t say that you are reformers but not provide specific examples. You can’t say that you have international experience but not give examples demonstrating this claim. All VP and Presidential candidates have to back their words up with facts or else their words are just empty.

Mr. Donnell,

Being a history major makes you qualified on what subjects exactly? Finance, Economics, Energy?
Maybe you should do some research on the origns and success of Socialism and then use that extensive knowledge to deflect some of Palins common sense positions regarding government spending and the free lunch all the self proclaimed “intellectuals” are clamoring for.
If you think Jimmy Carter was bad just wait for Barrack Obama.

Come on Bud - she has more experience than your Presidential Nominee - and if you go back and check the responsibilities of the VP - she was right - she presides over the Senate and her vote would break a tie. She can to to the Senate every day if she chooses.

By the way I agree Hillary would have been an awsome pick - too bad you’re guy didn’t pick her -

Palin has a record to back what she says. Obama has only spouted change and judgement, with no significant record to back it up, until the last couple of months. He’s been campaigning for over a year.

I grow weary of the nonsense thrown around out there about Sara Palin’s lack of expierence, This gracious and very intellegent lady has years of executive expierence as a small town mayor and our largest states’ governor. Those positions require the ability to make tough decisions, delegate responsibility, stand firm in your convictions, lead by example, you know…actually doing something. If you talk expierence, she has plenty for the V.P. position. Let us look at the candidate for President in the other party, now there is where expierence is a must, and what executive expierence does B. Hussien Obama posess?…None…he’s done nothing but run for president since his election to the senate, and what is his tenure in the senate? like almost 200 DAYS…If he were applying for corporate job his resume would be about a page and a half long and most of that would be touting his charm, charisma and the ability to make any untruth sound good. Obama is always shouting for change,…yet in over 20 years and 500 services filled with racial hatred of whites, he either did not have the ability or simply did not want to CHANGE his church, frankly we don’t have 20 years to see his utopian dream for America come true, because, like most dreamers and hopers he does not have a grasp of reality.

Palin is a joke people she wants to talk about stuff she know wich it appears is not much. We have done the facts checking she is full of it. Obama wants to raise the taxes on rich folks not you and I. Plus let me just say this. The republican view on tax cuts for businesses is this. They feel that if business get more money back then they will hire more people hmmmmmmmmmm lets think about that. If a business has say 10 employees and they are doing ok with them meaning they are doing the job they need to do and everything is running good. Why do you think that the CEO of that company is going to take that extra money that was given to him and share it with the workers. Lets be real if I have a business and all I need is a few workers and they are getting the work done, I’m taking that extra money and spending it on myself or my family. Now give people like me extra money and you will see that we will buy new tv’s new furniture we will pay off some of our bills. So as you can see that extra money will go right back into the economy. Vote for McCaine/Palin if you want but when you see yourself falling into more hardship please keep your comments to yourself because you asked for it.

Anyone who says Sarah Palin is not qualified should look at the Democratic candidate for President and see what in his record “qualifies” him to be President? Because a very thin record in the Senate is much weaker than anyone else on the two tickets. I am a true “democrat” some may even classify me as a pure “communist,” but let me tell you I am no Socialist. I don’t want america’s wealth in the hands of the “social elite,” remember dictators like Castro and Kadafii, and that nutcase in Venezula have praised Obama. I am voting for McCain/Palin the lesser of two evils.

How kind of you to give Governor Palin a second chance at her Katie Couric interview. Giving her so much time to prepare her answers and consult with others was very kind as well. It does not, however, surprise me that the governor was “clobbered” for not knowing the answers to very timely questions, nor does it surprise me she was “clobbered” for avoiding answering questions she felt uncomfortable with. I do not allow my students to rewrite test questions they can’t handle and I certainly do not expect the person who could be representing my country within a matter of months to do so.

Governor Palin frequently comes off as a cheerleader. Lots of encouragement, but someone else is actually winning or losing the game. We need someone in the office who knows the rules and understands the players, not someone who is merely charismatic and gets Americans to jump on board because she is perky and cute. Perky and cute will go nowhere with Putin, Sarkozy, Ahmadinejad, Chavez and the multitude of other world leaders both friendly and non.

Joe Biden won the debate easily even though there are those like Mr Not A Kool-Aid Drinker who will continue to cling to the fantasy that she is actually equipped to be the VP of the greatest country in the history of the world. I noticed that Mr.NKD also seems incapable (as are his candidates) of discerning the truth. Senator Obama’s tax plan will not effect a huge percentage of small business owners. But Mr.NKD is in serious denial. He talks about character and yet he supports a lying (choose your press source), corrupt, bribe taking (read his pleading in the Keating Five case), disfigured wife cheating on and leaving (for that ###t Cindy as he refers to her), bad pilot and academy failure (check his military record). Not to mention years of deregulation and sweet heart deals for his right wing benefactors. Also the phony maverick claims are just plain silly. Please sir..put down the Kool-Aid and slowly make your way back to reality. Your ticket is a disaster. God help us if they get elected.

Why do so many folks out there (or the media) refuse to look at Obama’s relationship with William Ayers - one of the worst communist vulcher’s of all time? Ayers is renowned - in his “own little world” but Obama continuing the friendship - knowing Ayers was in on so many bombings, etc., in the USA?? Check out the “Woods Fund of Chicago” - everywhere you look there is proof of Obama’s past associations!

this debate was stunning. Palin did a decent job faking about 20% of the questions and didn’t even bother answering the other 80%. she might as well have been singing the ABC’s whenever it was her turn to respond. She continued to do this during this video above… the question is “what about you?” her answer, “Well, Barak Obama…” Huh? Do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth? It’s no wonder the GOP is keeping her as far away from the public eye as possible as she tries to secure this public office… hey, wait a minute…

The people that keep citing how Obama’s plan is going to hurt small business must not understand how to run a small business or how one runs. Yes if you personally bring home more than 250k per year then you’ll pay more. However, not many small business owners bring home that much personally, and if they do, they can afford to pay more tax. If they need to lay people off to maintain their rich life style so be it. Get your facts straight. Obama does a lot for small business. And if people don’t know how to run their business there are plenty of resources for them too.

The bottom line is that Palin doesn’t have what it takes to debate anyone at the national level. So she does what she can with what she has, her charisma, charm and folksy quick wit. Great attributes but hardly qualifying for VP. Just because you like someone for who they are and the party they represent doesn’t mean they should be the person or people running the country.

We need smart, wise and practical people with good experience and specific good plans. Not rhetoric and snarky remarks!

It really isn’t fair that interviews aren’t open book, take home quizzes like in high school.

Palin is a dumber dan Quayle if you ask her follow up questions she fumbles if you make her stay on point and not ramble she fails. If obama had any debate anywhere near as bad as sarah Palin it would be over. i dont understand people who say she won the debate. just because she didnt make a huge gaffe she won? what kind of logic is that. but i guess if you can elect the cowboy from texas palin is along the same breed

Palin= W. with lipstick

I find it incredible how Republicans are able to completely ignore anything critical of this woman, even when it comes from a conservative like George Will. It’s like just because she’s talking folksy then that’s ok. If she had to sit in a meeting with the Joint Cheifs of Staff and craft foreign policy with deep reaching implications, do you think it will be enough to bring her “hockey mom style” to the table? Please for the country’s sake, take a critical look at this woman. It’s one thing to vote for someone with a narrative, but Palin is all narrative and nothing else.

Re: Not a Kool-Aid Drinker
Palin did a great job last night, but she wasn’t treated unfairly by the “mainstream” media. She completely imploded under some pretty easy questions. It was embarrassing. I think she’s on her feet again, but Cameron’s interview isn’t proof of that; asking the same questions she’d so-obviously failed to answer before was kind of a gimme. Let’s just be real.

Sarah Palin was super last night. She covered the problems facing Americans. I believe she over came a biased media and a do nothing government. Sarah is honest and she will get things done when she becomes the Vice President of these United States. New Zealand has removed theit senate and they find that the government is working much better. A lot of these old fogies have sat around the senate fot decades and have accomplished nothing. To date Obama has accomplished nothing, done nothing and if elected he will turn his responsibilites over to the un.

The debate i saw last night featured a VP candidate and a walking talking point who showed she can chew gum and walk at the same time and now she’s back? Puh-leeze!!! She jump a bar that was set on the ground and all she did was make the people who would vote for her feel a little better about themselves (Gosh darn she’s not totally stupid). Give me break she talked about oil, taxes, and the surge. She ignored questions and was arrogant enough to let Ifill know she would do it. The only reason Ifill did not go after her harder was because she did not want to appear biased. I wish someone else would have moderated the debate. Gwen Ifill could have shut down Palin’s whole campaign with 1-2 follow-up questions asking Palin to explain the talking points she had memorized. Palin is a joke and McCain should be ashamed of putting up such a mockery of a VP candidate.

Sarah Palin’s Washington outsider banter is like interviewing for a job and telling your prospective boss “well, I don’t really have a clue as to what this job is all about; I don’t really know or care enough to learn what your company’s major issues are, but I’ve taken the liberty of segmenting your customer into two groups: hockey moms and Joe Six Packs. Oh, and I’m not going to answer your interview questions, but if you don’t mind, I want to be the COO and just tell the employees that will be under me what I stand for.” She is an insult to the American people and McClain’s judgement in picking her speaks to his lack of vision.

This is hilarious that people can claim with a straight face that the media is unfair to Palin. She got a bunch of softball questions from Couric, and was unable to answer them.

How are the following questions “gotcha” questions?:

What news publications do you read?
Why is the proximity of Alaska to Russia enhance your foreign policy experience?
What Supreme Court cases do you disagree with?

This clown is not curious of the world around her.

So Sarah Palin’s annoyed when interviewers don’t ask her questions she can answer by trotting out her campaign talking points? What a surprise.

They should ask her to repeat pieces of her stump speech. Nothing else. Asking things about where she gets her news and about other stuff she doesn’t know how to answer, that’s so totally unfair.

Eesh.

Palin did not carry herself smart or graceful at all, what is up with all the winking to the camera? There is nothing and I do mean nothing cute about what is happening in our country right now. Here we have woman who wants to be VP and she is winking in the camera as if she is running for some kind of prom queen. She is not ready and they can coach her and teach her all they want, I would be afraid to think she could acutally be the VP of the US. It is not the media that keeps bringing up her experience or even Obama. From the beginning the Republican camp has been on the fact of experience and what do they, they go and get some women with no experience and no since of reality. The problem with it is is if you are going to use hammer on the no experience then don’t go out and get someone with less experience then you have set the standard for. Grow up, putting her on the ticket was a dumb idea and if people would look and really see they would know that. Just because she is a woman, women with education and common since are not going to vote for you, if this is the best they could do. All I can say is WOW!

Sarah Palin did a fabulous job last night against a seasoned politician, Joe Biden has been around for over 25 years, and sounded like it too. Same old liberal rhetoric blame the Rebublicans and Bush for everything. She definately delivered and put some vigor back into McCains campaign. Stood up to the old veteran very soundly and with confidence and poise.

Palin has a valid reason to talk about Obama’s experience. What has he accomplished? Nothing but passing on Senate votes and accomplishing nothing of value. She has been a governor with an 80% approval rating, running her state’s government. That is real experience. Obamabots just follow every little word he says and fauns over everything he does because he’s so “perfect”. Give me a break. Since when is a politician not a liar and a thief. That includes repubs and dems. Get over yourselves and your little candidate. That idiot says he would go into Pakistan with planes to take out terrorist operatives with or without Pakistani approval if they did not cooperate with us. Wow, dumb dumb dumb. 1- Pakistan is our ally. 2- Pakistan’s government is holding power by a thread. An assasination attempt has already been made on the current president and the previous leader was assasinated. This is due to the relationship Pakistan’s government has with America. The country doesn’t exactly like the U.S.. 3- Pakistan has shot at American helicopters that have approached Pakistan’s borders. The president is not willing to let Americans in his country because he knows that it will only embolden radicals within Pakistan to make more attempts at overthrowing the government and additionally the people will be enraged if American military starts meandering into their country. If we do this “attack”, we risk starting a war with another middle eastern nation due to these factors. The government of Pakistan will have no choice or they will risk being overthrown. I don’t know about you, but I want our troops out of the middle east as soon as it is feasible to do so, and I don’t want another war, especially one with a nuclear country. Obama flat out said he would bomb areas where terrorist operatives were located in Pakistan if Pakistan would not help us. He also said he would cut of funding to their government to apply pressure on them. The government is tenous at best there, and if we let them lose power because we cut funding, we risk allowing an extremist governments to take over. This is an abominable plan. America doesn’t need anymore of Bush’s foreign policy of “help us or else”. This is EXACTLY what Obama suggested. HE IS THE FOUR MORE YEARS OF THE SAME WHEN IT COMES TO FOREIGN POLICY. If you don’t believe me, look at his debate against McCain. He made the statement, it’s there, and it’s fact. He is Bush, just a different political party.
