Joe-motion: Biden Tears Up In Pennsylvania

GREENSBURG, PA — Joe Biden’s emotions got the best of him at a campaign stop in Western Pennsylvania, as he recalled the great kindness done to him and his family by one of the area’s iconic families.

After being introduced by Pittsburgh Steelers owner and Obama supporter Dan Rooney, the VP candidate who wears his heart on his sleeve told how the the scion of that football family helped him out when he was at his lowest.

“Sorry to take your time, but Mr. Rooney reminded me of this, Dan reminded me by just seeing him,” he said — telling the crowd about the car accident in 1972 that killed his wife and daughter and left his sons in serious condition in the hospital.

“They wouldn’t let us have a Christmas tree in, understandably, into the hospital because of concern about fire. So I went to K-mart to get a synthetic tree that would, you know, so I’d be able to bring it in and have something there at Christmas for the kids,” he said. “One of the few times I was away from their bed for a couple hours, I came back and they looked like they had lighted up my Christmas trees.”

“My one boy was in traction, and my other little boy had a fractured skull. And they were happy. They each separately had a football in their bed.”

At this point, Biden looked down and paused for 15 seconds to collect himself. “Excuse me,” he said, wiping his eyes. The crowd applauded.

“Anyway, and uh, I said guys, where’d you get the ball? And they said ‘Daddy, Rocky Bleier brought it for me,’” he continued, bringing more applause from the football savvy audience. Bleier, a Steelers running back, overcame injuries suffered in Vietnam to become a star for the NFL champions.

Turning his back to the audience, Biden wiped his eyes with his fingers. “Mr Rooney Sr, Dan’s dad, had without any fanfare, without any announcement, without anything other than his incredible decency…” he said, now removing a handkerchief from his pocket. ” I really apologize, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have tried to do this,” he said.

“But anyway… it’s a Helluva family. It’s a helluva family.”

Biden has teared up on the trail before, most recently when relating the story at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, OH. In his first official solo event as the vice presidential nominee, he choked up when talking to the Delaware delegation to the Democratic National Convention, and then again after being introduced for his convention speech by his son, Beau.

OH PLEASE - get a life Mr “I’m a Baby” Biden

Comment by Ryan

Now I know why the terrorists want these bozo’s (obama & Biden) in the white house…

Comment by cher

Of course he would tear up over that story! That was his family. His child gone his only daughter then I bet he still wonders what she could of been. He probably didn’t even know if his sons would be okay. I couldn’t even imagine the loss of one of mine. Let the man cry.

Comment by Indyvotes

Can’t say I want a cry baby as president or vice president. Next tragedy in America, will he cry or lead?

Comment by Sargeant Wag

While I sympathize with Biden’s tragedy, this is a play out of Hillary’s playbook.

Comment by zehfuss

I am a little skeptical about this story being a lifelong Steeler fan. Why would Art Rooney send Rocky Bleier to do this in 1972. At that time, Rocky was a very little used running back who was twice cut by the Steelers due to his war injuries. He didn’t gain his fame until several years later (post 1974).

Comment by Jim

What a ridiculous story. This gets a headline while there’s nothing on the negotiations going on over the bailout plan? There’s nothing about the President’s own party being the cause for delay in passing a plan? There’s nothing about Palin’s inability to articulate ANY of the reforms John McCain has championed in his 26 years in the senate? Let’s get some quality journalism here!

Comment by jamesreid

I love JOE BIDEN! He is not a Stepford candidate!

Comment by charles markus

I think Biden should keep on this path. Whenever he talks about foreign policy issues, clean coal, how the Obama campaign is being run, etc he puts both feet in his mouth.

Comment by Joe

I just want to make sure I get this right:

- It IS acceptable to become nostolgic and emotional when recalling John McCain’s noble POW experience.

- It IS NOT acceptable to become nostolgic and emotional when recalling your children’s life threatening hospitalization.

People, let Biden have his moment. If anything, we are all PARENTS before we are Republicans or Democrats.

As an Independent, I am continually amazed how the Right and Left can each find a partisan angles to ANY story.

Comment by Candace

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA….Yeah, can we say political stunt???? And they are trying to say McCain is pulling a political stunt for putting his campaign on hold? I think the kettle is calling the pot black here.

Comment by Candace

Oh and why is it that the news always reports what they think is something good for Obama and Biden but not for McCain and Palin. The media has been giving Obama twice the coverage than McCain. The media only reports what they think will benefit them.

The man that can’t cry over the loss of their own family, surely won’t cry over the loss of yours.

OMG -And the Media isnt biased?

Where are the onion drops ?!!

Comment by Jo T

LOL!! the right is cynical about anything that isn’t from their camp. Go Joe !

Comment by Lisa

Please, wake up and smell the coffee. This is the second time since he was picked for vice that he gets all choked up. I want someone strong running our Country. Yes it is a heart warming story how much is for show….. If Palin did this then she would be codemn so would Hilary… This seems to be one of the worst coverage from the media on the Presidential Campain. It seems to be all one sided. It is so hard to believe any news any more. If I could regulate any thing it would be the media. Freedom of press is one thing. But the majority sound like those cheesy (tabloid) magazines………………….

Comment by butch

Its easy for Joe to talk now….The real question would be ….Wht would Rooney think of him today after the career of lying that He’s lead…..Lets take another look at a recent remark, about Guns, and that Obama better not try to take His….and then look at his record on voting on issues concerning the NRA
I’m from Pa to,and Joe is a hotheaded liar

Comment by Elizabeth

To the above few who called him a cry baby, I don’t think there is anything I can possibly image worse than losing a child. I guess you think people should be more like Bush Sr. and his lovely wife who played a round of golf the same day they buried their daughter.

You people are heartless and sick.

Comment by nobama

Rocky Bleier- Had 1 rushing attempt is 1972 and a total of 3 in 74. What a crying baby.

Comment by Kara

Joe Biden is a good man and a smart one. I am glad Sen. Obama picked him as his running mate-he has a lot of insight and 30+ years in the senate.
Obama-Biden ‘08!

Comment by fatimazk

Personally, I can’t imagine the loss he went through, and would prefer to have someone who has a heart in the white house– I want our president to think about all the consequences of policies–including the human lives that are affected.

Comment by Eric

Joe Biden is a man of character. A man who should not be chastised for showing emotion while recalling a tragic moment in his life…it’s called humanity.

On another note, do you think McCain should consult his old buddy Charles Keating on the financial crisis?

Comment by Matt

Lose half of your family, BeAMan & Indy, and then tell me you wouldn’t tear up every day for the rest of your life (no, wait, you wouldn’t because you’re apparently permanently single or heartless, or both). And, Ryan, a great big cheer to you too for blindly following the mantra of the failed sitting administration: If we disagree with it, it’s somehow unpatriotic and supported by terrorists. Do your homework, halfwit.

Comment by DW

Although none of Bush’s or Cheney’s children have come home in body bags from this “war on terrorizm” in Iraq, I’ll bet they’ve still shed a tear or two. At least I hope so.

Comment by Catherine

Biden is just like Edwards, “bring out your dead” when all else fails.

Comment by eris00005

I can’t believe you people are so insensitive. Show some respect! Even if he IS running for office, that doesn’t make him a robot with no emotions or memories of the worst time in his life and the time when someone was kind to him then.

This isn’t a play out of Hillary’s book - Hillary was never emotional to begin with, and she just pulled that stunt to appear warm. Biden has ALWAYS been emotional, over-the-top, etc. That is why he is second to Obama - who is always cool, calm, and collected.

Anybody saying “grow up” or calling him a “cry baby” needs to shut up, AND stop talking about McCain being a POW. If tragedy doesn’t have anything to do with politics, then your side needs to rein it in as well.

Comment by filterq

you can’t blame the guy for being emotional. I don’t think I would be any different if something like that had happened to me.

Comment by Woaimi

Showing emotion as a potential US leader? I don’t know if I expect to see that. God forbid, what if another even such as the 9-11 happen? will he be on his feet to steer the country or lock himself in his office and cry. I’m trying hard to keep my mind opened and not being bias but it getting harder each day seeing different dirty strategies coming from the Dems.

Comment by mcgreen

a man not afraid to cry - he’s got HEART and the courage to be himself - a real hero to his family. Such honesty and openness is rare. He’s got my vote anyday. Obama made an excellent choice - this man will stick it out thru everything.

Comment by John P Arnold

Can you imagine the reaction of the media if this would have been Sarah Palin?. They would have destroyed her. Perhaps we should ask Hillary. Didn’t she cry once and it became front page news?

Comment by Joe

He must have cut some onions this morning, this guy is laughing stock. Biden crying LMAO!

Comment by Jhann

Listen I rather have a father with a sensitive concept of humanity accompaning our most down to earth candidate for president, who happens to be the better option right now.

than a guy who’s wife is one of the reachest people in USA and sadly doesn’t know what hunger is, and a woman that only cares about what she’s wearing with a sorry escuse for her lies and corruption like Palin.

Comment by Gabriel

Anyone who says Biden needs to grow up or “Stop being a Baby” obviously doesn’t care about peoples lives at all. This just goes to show that Biden is willing to tell a story that hurts so much (because it was HIS family) to touch voters hearts. This (I think) is a better tactic than attacking the other candidates (cough, McCain, Palin). Biden was just being sincere and relaying a story that personally affected him. True, almost all politicians are guilty of attacking the “other party candidates” but this kind of campaigning is a good thing, not bad.

Comment by Carol

I SEE NOTHING WRONG WITH SHOWING EMOTIONS.AT LEAST HE HAS SOME.I HAVE SEEN PRESIDENT BUSH TEARUP BEFORE.THE ONLY THING I SEE SARAH PALIN SHOWING IS WHAT A FOOL SHE IS MAKING OUT OF HERSELF.GOD HELP IF SHE GETS IN.KNOW THATS SCARY.

Comment by James

Wow…the hate is overwhelming. Whether Mr. Biden’s tears were staged or heartfelt, it seems the reactions here are not much but gut punches. We really have lost our way…

Comment by Kevin

You guys need to lighten up a little bit. I was actually touched by this story. Not gonna vote for the guy, but a nice story nonetheless.

Comment by Thomas

Yeah, God forbid the guy sheds a tear while recalling an incredibly generous thing done for him after an accident claimed the lives of his wife and only daughter, and left both of his sons in critical condition for over a week. Compassionate conservatives, huh? Regardless of what you call yourselves, you’ve definitely shown your true colors. Intolerant boneheads are what is destroying our party, and convincing the American people that they can’t trust us anymore. Way to destroy our once-proud party of the people.

Whatever… next story. Not to trivialize his loss [it was incredibly tragic and painful], but not all news is new worthy. Again, not trying to sound harsh… just seems odd to find this as a new story.

Comment by NOMAS

To the likes of Ryan & BeAMan, etc. You are all pathetic!!!! Your some kind of small, closed minded, pin-head droids!! Where the hell is your humanity? I Feel sorry for your swriveled up souls!!!!

Comment by KM

Jim, what are you talking about? On any political or economical RSS feed the negotiations is the first article. If you go to yahoo news, the first story is about the negotiations. On my google homepage, the first article on Google News is about the negotiations (along with an additional 3,744 related articles). This headline is much farther down the list and will probably be gone within the hour. Why? Because it’s not THAT newsworthy especially in light of the negotiations.

The negotiations have been updated almost every 15 minutes. You clearly have no idea what you’re saying because if you did, you wouldn’t have even made this comment. Besides which, would it have been too hard for you to, I don’t know, look at any news website? If you did, you’d get all the information that you claim there is no coverage of. Or maybe you could go outside and take a gander at a newspaper perhaps? I hate to tell you this but it’s front page news everywhere. But if that’s too taxing for you, why don’t you take advantage of this little thing called the internet and google it!

As for Biden, it’s inappropriate, I think, to show this much emotion on the campaign trail. I don’t think Biden is a weak person (in fact it takes a strong person to be able to share their emotions in public this honestly) but it makes him look weak and perhaps even sneaky (I though Clinton seemed sneaky when she teared up during the primaries - I felt it was a political ploy). I don’t think this means he would be a wuss of a VP or president. I mean, he lost his family and he’d have ice running through his veins if he didn’t still feel the pain of it. Doesn’t mean that he wouldn’t be able to handle serious domestic and foreign situations.

Comment by Steve

Response: Comment by BeAMan

Obviously he has a life and you don’t. I’m sorry that you are so unloved.

Comment by Ted Wick

I am pleased to know that someone destined for leading our country has a heart!

We’ve had enough of the tough guys, those unbendable, tearless eyed guys!

There’s plenty of reason for tears these days, for example Galveston home owners, almost anybody who has their retirement tied up in wall street, and those awaiting foreclosure. However the list is much longer than this.

Comment by Dave

Joe Biden is a real man, and just a real guy. He also happens to be a terrifically talented Senator and speaker with deep knowledge about our country and foreign affairs.

This mans accomplishments and this mans compassion is what our political system needs a ‘helluva’ lot more of.

Comment by Corey

I think I may have cried as much as Biden did here, only from laughing, upon hearing that Biden believes that FDR addressed the nation at the beginning of the Great Depression in 1929…on TV. History isn’t his strong suit. Not sure he has one.

Comment by James

As a man of faith, I am very moved by Joe Biden’s ability to have a heart while still being in politics. I know that if I ever lost a member of my family, it would hurt badly enough that not even God Himself could stop me from tearing up when I talked about them. God bless you, Sen. Biden, for showing us your love for your family - those are REAL family values.

Well, all the snarky a**hole comments by the Fox News zealots are to be expected - but these are the morons that wouldn’t be able to lead anything, from a parade of toddlers to a nation.

I am surprised that Fox doesn’t spin this on TV for the entire day. Give me a break.

Given the choice between “I-Can’t-Talk-To-The-Press” Palin (aka “Moose-Mama”) and Biden, I’d rather have someone of his intelligence in the the Veep position any day.

Bozo Fox bu**lickers.

Comment by Mr. Objective

A Sad story, but isn’t it time for Sen. Biden to stop exploiting his tragic past for political reasons?

Could you imagine the uproar if Mrs. Palin shed a tear on something? They pilloried Hillary when she choked up. What a double standard.

Comment by Dana Pintago

As much as I detest liberals and the Joe Biden of the past, this is a human side of him that you rarely see in public. I do not feel it was fabricated or a politically motivated. It was a deep personal response to a past event that shaped his life. New worthy? Not really.

Joe Biden has become a mere shadow of the feisty and arrogant senator of the 80’s. Why Obama picked him for VP is beyond me. He has been a liability since he came aboard the Obama team. If I did not know any better, I would think he is working to get McCain elected so Hillary Clinton can have one more shot at the presidency in 20012. Fortunately, McCain’s choice of Sarah Palin for VP turned the dynamics of the election upside-down. It shattered the illusion that a woman could remain a woman, have the overwhelming support of conservative men, and run for a nationally elected office. You Go Girl! Show the world what a real glass ceiling breaker can do.

You reich wing repubs out there throwing jabs at a man who while talking about his lost wife and daughter teared up are down right disturbing. It’s sociopaths such as yourselves that need to be brought out back and shot in the head. I tell you what why dont you go home take a bottle of bleach and a bottle of amonia mix them in your wash pan becouse I know you don’t have a bath tub and just waf it in.

Comment by Mark

hahha, you think the “terrorists” are scared of a 72 year old man with a hockey mom at his side? seriously.

Comment by Vicki

All I can say is…..if the Left Media and the Liberal Democrats can say that John McCain postponed the debate tomorrow - because it was political posturing………..then I will say that Biden used his “1972″ story about his former wife and child demise in the same way. Fair game, I say.

If the Libs think that is a horrible statement by me…..then they know how we feel as Republicans about McCain putting forth his priorities for a “current” tragety for the Nation; rather than a debate that could be rescheduled; or it could go on as planned..but he wanted to make that statement, just in case.

Yeah, what we need is a cryin, teary eyed, emotions on his sleeve - VP, with the potential of being President. Right….that would look real good in talks with the foreign leaders.

Comment by Vicki

HEY BIDEN —- THE TEARS MAY HAVE WORKED FOR HILLARY DURING THE PRIMARIES….BUT I DON’T THINK THEY WILL WORK FOR YOU.

Comment by g

While, i don’t think that this story is particularly newsworthy, I am rather appalled by some of the comments here. This man lost his wife and his only daughter in a car accident! And you’re calling him a “crybaby”? Have you lost a spouse AND child at the same time?!? No, cause if you did, you wouldn’t have said such stuff.

Does John “Timeout” McCain cry about when his first wife was in an accident? No, cause he was off screwing around with Budweiser Barbie.

And to think, Republicans stand for “Small Town American Values”. No thanks, I’ll take the crybaby over the adulterer.

Comment by TIM

Sure can tell from those that have posted a comment, most came from that of a somewhat scorned Republican who hasnt the ability to show any form of compassion. So glad that I am a person that is non commited to any one party. I look at a persons character, judge them for how the treat their fellow man,(or woman). Because Mr.Biden shed a tear, shows he is a person of compassion. Would much rather see someone like him trying to help lead our country than some hard head with wandering eyes.

Comment by Ray

So is the media going to rip into this crying scene like they did with Hillary? Probably not, because he is under the Obama umbrella that the media is protecting.

Comment by Jephte

So Biden’s a girly man? How about McCain scampering off with his tail tucked between his legs. Biden’s the type of guy who will rip your arm off to get the gun out of your hand, then pat you on the back and wish you a speedy recovery while you’re carted off in an ambulance. Anyone who hates on a man for caring enough to feel something, should just do us all a favor and jump off a bridge. We don’t need anymore MACHO, BRAINLESS, HEARTLESS, MEATHEADS ruining this world for the rest of us.

Comment by Cristen

I have had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Biden at a gala benefit for the American Institute of Stuttering and he was one of the most sincere and warm people I have ever had the pleasure of speaking with…most certainly the most sincere politician I have come across. So give the man a break and let him cry. There is no shame in it.

Comment by DC

Isn’t it interesting that Mr. Biden and cry and its understandable. However, when Hillary’s voice cracked (that’s right, she never did cry) it was a major story about her ability to lead if she was so emotional. It goes both ways here people - what a sexist society we live in. Just look at the comment regarding the Stepford candidate. Sarah Palin is an impressive woman, just like Hillary Clinton - give them their just dues (unless they just intimidate you and make you feel small).

Comment by J from DC

Joe Biden just called out John McCain to face him over John McCain Healthcare Tax. Will he face him? Not because he is scared. McCain Campaign is a Hoax. And that’s what the country is facing now. When the fog clears, will we still be blind to the McCain illusion? Bottom line, McCain is CAMPAINING by not campaigning, and he will use this campaign suspension (illusion) in upcoming campaign ads and speeches, along with photos of Palin at the UN. This reminds me of an athlete faking an injury to buy time when he is losing and out of timeouts. Bottom line, if you don’t have a substantive record to pull from, then manufacture headlines for future use, and hope people are foolish enough to fall for it. Then, while you’re at it, use Obama’s ideas as your own. Maybe, people won’t notice that you’re doing that either. The only people buying this one are the people rooting for him. His base. For the rest of us McCain is just plan incompetent. What stands between Politics and George Bush? McCain. So, can someone please show how this campaign suspension is a hoax? It is really a new campaign strategy. I mean really, you can’t run a commercial while you are in Washington. Why, because you need to be in all the stations to say I am J.M. and I approve the message. Get real!
Now he wants to hold the Debate on the VP session and hold the VP debate later. Maybe this is the problem all along. Palin is not ready to debate.

Comment by Kym Hayes

Well I will say that I stopped watching Fox News because it is strictly Republican. On the Biden issue it seemed to be ok when Sarah Palin was talking about her son Trig being handicapped Republicans wanted to hear that but when Biden mentions his family and his tragic loss then Republicans want to make fun of him. I think that these nasty comments about Bidens loss is horrible.

Comment by RobT

Are you kidding, why wouldn’t he be emotional. Obama & Biden do not need stunts right now and I can give 700 Billion reasons why… Start with the first one; “Republican”.

Comment by Boxer Mum 06

Isn’t Joe Biden STILL a Senator from Delaware? Why is he not in Washington participating in the bail out process?

Although I can sympathize with his tragedy, it was many years ago and he should be able to keep his emtions intact.

Weren’t all the Obama supporters all over Hillary when she got emotional? I recall claims that if she can’t keep her emotions intact, she is not fit for office.

I guess if you are a male, it’s ok to cry but never if you are a female. Talk about a double standard. Where is Campbell Brown on this sexism? Oh, she is still sitting there with her flippy sandals showing off her feet. Guess she wants to get ratings from somewhere and learned from Katie Couric and her legs.

Comment by Dan

what hate… I lost a daughter myself, and can’t imagine a day where it won’t move me.
The emotion of that day always’s manifests itself in the oddest moment. So I’m not surprised he teared up.

I think it’s a bit pathetic of those who laugh at him for thinking it’s funny.
You obiously have no idea of what a loss of a loved one feals like.

But go ahead tear up and cry the next time McCain mentions the word POW.

What a joke.

Comment by Roinator

Although composure is an important part of leadership, I consider compassion a much more important part to humanity.
If you think crying over a tragic event is reason to consider Biden unfit for office then that is your own opinion, but please do not reduce yourselves to the level of name calling to get your point across.

Comment by Lisa

Its not about republicans being uncaring. Its about it being a politcal stunt. Its about the media not being fair and balanced. I remember when Hilary shed a few tears or got emotional, omg did every one critize her or made snotty comments.
It seems dems and libs can dish it out but cant take it.
And I have lost more than one person in my life and at that time it was hard, but time passes and wounds heal but I would never exploit any one of my loved ones to the media or to gain points. That is what this is about. BE SMART….

Wonder if he tried the “My wife and baby were lost due to a DUI again”, well they weren’t and sorry if I have no sympathy for him, he has lied about how the accedent happened to gain votes so his little tiraide is hard to believe now. Maybe if he had been honest the first 3 or 4 times he talked about it, it would be easier to feel sympathy now but the man uses thier targic end to further his career. Shame on him. I think the man is a jerk and lier and nothing he says or does will change that.

Comment by bkny

Maybe your republican candidates should give the media access and the coverage would not seem so one sided towards Obama/Biden. Your right wing Mcaniacs have no one to blame but yourselves so you point the finger at the media, so pathetic. The day of the racist white staunch is over, soon you will be the minority. Obama is the future a whole country of mixed races and people it will be outstanding.

If the greatest and most powerful man that ever walked on this earth wept a few times, then I think it’s ok for any other man to do the same.

Comment by Pat

I just want to know why the news hasn’t scorned Biden for his mess up about FDR in the white house when the stock market crashed and that FDR went on tv. WHEN WE ALL know that if McCain said that, he would be called “out of touch”, his “memory is goin” stuff like that. Nothing one day about it and that was it.

Comment by Tim

Come on Jim….Obama’s party is the one that has let us down! Sen Chris Dodd didn’t want to do anything about Mae and Mac two years ago when he had chance since he was (and was so Obama) getting large sums of money from them! Now, all of sudden it’s the Republican’s fault. Get a clue! It’s both parties that have dropped the ball on this one. McCain tried to have Dodd do something back in 2006 but he wasn’t the party in power so was told to take a hike.

So since all the democrats are so sympathetic now, I guess they will stop calling Palin names and criticizing Bush…I mean come on, he’s shed a few tears himself and you guys haven’t cut him any slack! Biden can’t even make any comments of his own without getting scolded by Obama. Granted, Biden isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed since he didn’t know Hoover was actually the President when the stock market crashed in 1929, but hey at least let the man speak his mind…this is a free country.

Comment by D. in Los Angeles

It’s sad that some of you who left comments think it’s funny or Biden is a cry baby. I have 3 kids and I can’t imagine my life if something happened to any one of them. Obviously, some of you have never lost a loved one. Either that, or your heart is made of stone. My mother has been gone for 15 years. It is still hard for me and I still cry.

Comment by Kay

The point is Biden’s loss is tragic and his emotions would be believable if he had not lied over and over about how it happened. It is sad to lose a child or any family member but you do not forget exactly how they were lost, be it cancer, DUI, or just a tragic accedent, Biden made speeches and claimed numerous times it was a DUI, and it was not, his wife drifted in front of a simi and the man could not stop in time, yet the man is long gone now too and can not defend himself so Biden feels free to slander the man and build up sympathy for himself. That is what makes his display so sickening. The driver of that simi greaved the rest of his life over what happened but he was not “drinking his lunch” nor was he driving recklessly, it was an accedent. But Biden has said that man was drinking his lunch and a DUI. So how do you feel sympathy for a man who would do that?

Comment by Irene

I really am disgusted that Biden thinks crying will impact the women’s vote. However, some are probably stupid enough to think this makes him common folks. How many times can he “bring on the tears” and tell this story on the campaign trail. I don’t have a problem with him crying about his family but he’s doing this for the female sympathy vote.

Comment by Mlo, CT

Some people. Guys, politics aside, its really ugly to call someone a crybaby when they are lamenting the loss of their children. Just a big jerk move. Preclusion to heaven sorta thing, you know, human decency and stuff.

Also, I just can’t tell whether or not everyone taking the, “Biden’s not a real man” “I want someone STRONG in the Presidency” stance is joking are not. You have to be being ironic, right? I mean… really? You actually believe that sort of thing?

Bush was STRONG. Bush was a REAL MAN.

Bush is an idiot.

Comment by Deborah Harry

There are tears for sadness and there are public tears for votes. Good luck Joe, I love ya man…how many votes do you earned…say…per each tear?

Comment by Scott

I think Biden has to have screwed up the timeline on this because the Steelers played the famous “immaculate reception” playoff game on December 23rd at home against Oakland, and then went to Miami on December 31st for the AFC championship game. So it seems weird that Rocky Bleier would go all the way to Delaware and back during the playoffs. Rocky wasn’t a starter in 1972 so it is possible that they would have sent him because they weren’t worried about him missing practice. But I have a feeling that if it was really Rocky Bleier who visited his kids, it would have been after New Years not at Christmas.

So you are telling me that, if you lost your spouse and child, and then had your other children spend months in the hospital, you wouldn’t get teary eyed trying to talk about it? I sure wouldn’t want to be married to any of you! You all are too hard on each other. When you loose a child, then you tell me how you feel.

Bunch of lying filth, I hope all your families are in car wrecks so we can all laugh at you. Doesn’t sound so f
