Sarah Barracuda on the attack
CEDARBURG, WI — Gov. Sarah Palin embraced her new role as the attack dog Friday, ripping Barack Obama for his failure to support the Iraq surge.
She lobbed the first missile of the general election during an outdoor rally in the town center of Cedarburg, just outside Milwaukee, in response to comments Obama made on the O’Reilly Factor Thursday. He told FNC that the surge had succeeded beyond his “wildest dreams,” but refused to say he was wrong for not initially embracing it. (Full transcript after the jump)
“Just last night Senator Obama finally broke and brought himself to admit what all the rest of us have known for quite some time and that’s thanks to the skill and valor of our troops the surge in Iraq has succeeded,” Palin told more than 8,000 voters gathered to hear the now-official GOP ticket. “I guess when you turn out to be profoundly wrong on a vital national security issue maybe its comforting to pretend that everyone else was wrong too.”
The Alaska governor also repeated some of her greatest hits from her convention speech Wednesday night, again asserting that being “a small town mayor is sorta like a community organizer only you have actual responsibilities,” and that small town residents are “always proud” to be Americans.
Palin praised McCain as a politician who has walked the walk. “Among politicians, there is the idealism of high-flown speechmaking with endless talk about great things and then there is the idealism of of leaders like John McCain who actually do great things,” she said.
For his part, McCain stuck to his change rhetoric from his Thursday night and tried to be more subtle in his contrasts with Obama. He also lavished praise on Palin, calling her the “most marvelous runningmate in the history of the nation.”
“We have faced challenges before. We can do this and we will do this and don’t believe those who tell us that we cant. That’s not America and that’s not the American people,” McCain said–returning to his 2000 election populist rhetoric. “These are tough times. Today, the jobs report is another reminder these are tough times–tough times in Wisconsin, tough times in Ohio, tough times all over America. You are worried about keeping your jobs and finding a new one, struggling to put food on the table, staying in your home. All you have ever asked of government is to stand on your side, not in your way and that is what I intend to do.”
Obama-O’Reilly excerpt:
O’REILLY: I think you were desperately wrong on the surge, and I think you should admit it to the nation that now we have defeated the terrorists in Iraq, and the Al Qaeda came there after we invaded, as you know. We defeated them.
OBAMA: Right.
O’REILLY: If we didn’t, they would have used it as a staging ground. We’ve also inhibited Iran from controlling the southern part of Iraq by the surge, which you did not support. So why won’t you say, “I was right in the beginning. I was wrong about that”?
OBAMA: If you listen to what I’ve said, and I’ll repeat it right here on this show, I think that there’s no doubt that the violence is down. I believe that that is a testimony to the troops that were sent and General Petraeus and Ambassador Crocker. I think that the surge has succeeded in ways that nobody anticipated, by the way, including President Bush and the other supporters. It has gone very well, partly because of the Anbar situation and the Sunni awakening, partly because of the Shia military. Look…
O’REILLY: But if it were up to you, there wouldn’t have been a surge.
OBAMA: Look…
O’REILLY: No, no, no, no.
OBAMA: No, no, no…
O’REILLY: If it were up to you, there wouldn’t have been a surge.
OBAMA: No, no, no.
O’REILLY: You and Joe Biden, no surge.
OBAMA: Hold on a second, Bill. If you look at the debate that was taking place, we had gone through five years of mismanagement of this war that I thought was disastrous. And the president wanted to double down and continue on an open-ended policy that did not create the kinds of pressure on the Iraqis to take responsibility and reconcile.
O’REILLY: But it worked. It worked. Come on.
OBAMA: Bill, what I’ve said is - I’ve already said it succeed beyond our wildest dreams.
O’REILLY: Why can’t you say, “I was right in the beginning, and I was wrong about the surge”?
OBAMA: Because there’s an underlying problem where what have we done. We have reduced the violence.
O’REILLY: Yes.
OBAMA: But the Iraqis still haven’t taken responsibility, and we still don’t have the kind of political reconciliation. We are still spending, Bill, $10 to $12 billion a month.

Talk to the press Sarah. You need to clarify your positions on a variety of topics as Obama (and now Biden) have been doing for months.
You are coming off as inexperienced and needing significant coaching… the reason for the delay in letting us get to know more than what the speech writer wrote for you.
Barrack Obama would rather have America lose the war than win it to make Pres. Bush look bad. He is putting himself ahead of country…………..A GRANDSTANDER
Sarah Palin is a dream come true, how refreshing? She has the libs shaking in their shoes, they are scared the White House could be tied up for 12-16 years and they don’t like it.
Not taking responsibility? Did not the Iraq’s just take control of Anbar? What about the other provences? Maliki risked his government and his own neck to take control of the south. Obama is either ignorant, lying, or just a plain political hack. I cannot believe some people buy this tripe he puts out. Maybe his slogan should not be “Change you can believe in”, but “Ignorance you can swim in.”!!
Wow — It sounds like Obama is really disappointed that the U.S. has won in Iraq.
He sure would’ve looked a lot better without that U.S. victory.
I don’t suppose that it’s occurred to him how much better off America is with one less crazy, America-hating dictator in the Middle East.
Not to mention the benefits to the Iraquis who now are not tortured in rape rooms and dungeons. But I guess they don’t really count.
Good for her! It’s about time that someone who is a true Conservative got into the middle of the Republican Party and sent honest shots across the bow of the Democrats and called them on the carpet for their dishonesty over the last two years. Reporters like to say that “Conservatives” have had the White House for the last eight years … it just goes to show that the liberal media establishment doesn’t understand the difference between a Republican and a Conservative. Washington Establishment Republicans and Democrats are made of the same mold and have been spending too much money. Gov. Palin represents the kind of change that the majority of Americans *really* want in Washington, not the Marxist Socialist change offered by Senator Obama.
Why is it that Gov Palin refuses to give an interview to the media? Is she being blocked by the Republican handlers perhaps fearful of having her speak before being fully prepped by the GOP machine?
Maybe Bill O’Riley could interview her in what would be a “safe zone” for GOP candidates.
Either way, it is time to hear from her without the benefit of speechwriters prompting her every word.
I’D LIKE TO KNOW WHY PEOPLE AREN’T DISCUSSING THE FACT THAT OBAMA’S ‘LOGO’ IS “A MOSQUE RISING ABOVE THE AMERICAN FLAG”. THAT IS AN INSULT TO OUR GREAT COUNTRY.
Go Baby Go!!!
Am I the only person in the USA who is scared by this meglomaniac that is always right, never wrong and is afraid to admit a failing. This man has no credentials to be president and I believe is dangerous to boot. I see a pied piper phenomenem. Follow like lemmings and run right off the cliff.
Senator Obama’s hurried attempt to respond to Sarah Palin’s scathing ridicule of his work as a so-called “community leader”, by boasting that he was also a professor, reminds me of a limerick that circulated around my campus nearly a half century ago. For some reason, I find it amusingly appropos:
There once was an old man from Esser,
Who’s knowledge grew lesser and lesser.
It at last grew so small,
He knew nothing at all,
And now he’s a College Professor.
Kudos to the Barracuda! That is a sharp observation and I’m not surprised that Senator Obama still seems to be in denial.
This is going to be an interesting campaign. Wonder who will get eaten alive first? Obama, Biden, or the left-wing media at large?
If I am not mistaken, barracudas are also known as the piranhas of the sea. Fast, strong, and voraciously hungry!!
I am not even going to consider Palin until I hear her in an in-depth policy interview. So far all I have heard are the same one liners over and over again. Can’t she take any questions?
bill o-reilly was trying to corner obama and was acting stupid about it
Palin came out on stage like a whirlwind. Amazing simply amazing. The fact that she could only rant and rave about Obama and very little about herself made me think. It made me think why would anyone vote for her ticket? I mean really. What good is she?
FOX CENSORS COMMENTS…AND CAN’T BE TAKEN FOR REAL. HOW VERY UNAMERICAN OF FOX
SARAH ISN’T A BARACUDA…SHE’S PAWN
LEFT 5 COMMENTS…NONE SHOWING. GEEZ FOX COULD BE SO OBVIOUS!!
This should NOT be a pass for Obama. Regardless on whether you believe the war was right or wrong the issue is; what judgement do we want our President to have when they are faced with situations outside of their control? He was against the war, voted against the war. He lost that fight. Now with the leader of Iraq overthrown and the country in turmoil he would choose to ignore our responsibility to a people WE, as a country, put into that turmoil. He would chose to increase the danger to our troops by refusing to fund them. Why? Because he was bitter over losing his fight to not go to war? Because he wanted to see a civil war in Iraq succeed? Why? The situation was already the reality and could not be reversed. The correct judgement, DESPITE what your position on the original arguement was, should be to correct the situation in the best manner for our country (the job of the President). When the situation was already outside his control, as it will be in a LOT of cases, the President should be able to put personal and political opinions aside and make the RIGHT call.
O’REILLY: But if it were up to you, there wouldn’t have been a surge.
OBAMA: “present”
O’REILLY: No, no, no, no.
OBAMA: No, no, no…
O’REILLY: If it were up to you, there wouldn’t have been a surge.
OBAMA: No, no, no.
O’REILLY: You and Joe Biden, no surge.
This lady is truly terrifying…heres a nice happy wolf hunting clip to cheer all your pro-life people up.

Republicans like Palin, Giuliani, and Romney can engage in red-meat partisan vitriol all they want, right out of the Karl Rove playbook, but this isn’t 2000 or 2004. Americans now have seen the full impact of GOP policies on their pocketbook.”
There has been an tremendous uproar about Gov. Sarah Palin. She’s new… everyone wants to know more about her. From the outside looking in, she seems like a nice person with a loving family, but lets not forget that she is running for the Vice President seat and only a heartbeat away as our commander-in-chief if the republicans win. I guess when the shoe is on the other foot, it’s okay to have somewhat experience. Hmm… I wonder if Michelle Obama ran for VP as a Democrat would it be okay. She is a soccer mom, i’m sure that has to count for something…
The exchange between Bill and Obama in this interview as well as the speech he delivered today are a clear indictation that Obama is running scared. He had counted the Republican campaign as out, he had thought he had all but won. He repeatedly lost his train of thought earlier today and during this exchange with Bill O’Reilly, he was so flabbergasted that he couldn’t pull his thoughts together and think his way out of the discussion. I guess that is what happens when you have a candidate that states two opposing arguments in two different locations and can’t remember who he said it too. It is sad when he can’t handle a debating conversation on his own, without his speechwriters giving him material to work with. It has been a long year listening to his rhetoric and seeing through it. I had all but counted the Republicans out and our future as being nothing but a dim bleak existence with him in the White House. However, today I am re-energized by what I see in the McCain/Palin ticket. Here is to the next 12 years with the Republicans in office. Because if we do elect McCain to the presidency for the next four years, I have every confidence that Sarah will serve the following 8 as the first female President of the United States. I am a woman, I am a soccer mom, I am an equal bread-winner, I have a loud voice, and I am voting for MCCAIN/PALIN!
McCain and Palin have our vote. Small town Americans who are proud of our country. God bless America.
What was Obama thinking? Well yes but No? he really needs to define himself as more decisive and aggressive. We are not in this to win a European popularity contest. Where is Team Obama? http://www.boppoll.com
So. Is McCain going to let Palin do all the talking now. It sounded like a mini version of her acceptance speech.
Thank you Mr. O’Reilly, I knew you could do it….Obama is so used to just reading his lines when He
talks. Wonder what He would do if He did become Pres, and had a real emergency??????
Kind of scary to me to even think about that….
Bill,
WHEN ARE WE GOING TO SEE PALIN IN AN UNPREPARED INTERVIEW OR TOWN HALL SPEECH?
All of us are sick of seeing her pump up the base, but not show her substance which most of us believe she can’t communicate on her own in light of the strict leash the McCain Camp has on her.
What is the plan? Is she going to be able to do ANYTHING on her own? Unless this happens and happens soon, most of us are left to assume she is unable to do so. I guess she still needs some more “coaching” before she can leave the nest.
It just seems to be another ploy on the McCain Camp to be all show, no substance. HYPOCRISY at its finest.
Maverick isn’t walking to his own drum…….catering to the voting machine by using his new “celebrity”.
Sarah Palin’s acceptance speech was written by a Bush speech writer. So Obama is right, McCain and Bush are two birds of a feather. And the speech written by a Bush speech writer, the same old dog doo doo, only said by a new dog, with lipstick at that! This is a fact, the speech was written by a Bush speech writer, and if you were watching MSN tonight at about 9:00 EST you would have heard about it, and the many lies that McCain fed to the people last night. Shame on him, as MSN puts it, A LYER!
http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/b27431_republicans_take_heart_heart_takes_it.html
Great! Go Sarah!! Sarah and John leading the way!
It would be better for Obama just to ‘man-up’ and go: at the time, and based on observable evidence, I thought it was best not to place more troops in harms way… Yes, it worked… hindsight is always 20/20; I made a mistake”
Won’t happen… He and Biden are both ego-maniacs and will never state they made an oops.
sheesh… just yesterday he was claiming ‘community organization’ relates as executive experience… huh?
You go, Sarah. Tell them what a bunch of phoneys they are. And keep your powder dry. Were all in your corner.
Palin lied about the Bridge to Nowhere. She already lied about at least twice since being picked as the VP nominee. She claims she said, “No thanks” for the Bridge to Nowhere. That is a lie. The federal government blocked the project and later Palin pulled state funding. Prior to that, she supported the bridge. The “No Thanks” claim is perhaps the biggest claim she has made in trying to establish her credibility as a reformer. But it is a lie. She should be given an opportunity to explain what she did to block the project. Was it a letter? A phone call to whom?
Also, if she was so opposed to earmarks, why didn’t she return the bridge project money to the federal government? Now her Alaskan government is using the bridge funding for other highway projects.
Palin is a liar.
Let’s see. The Republicans were corrupt and Palin was elected to clean up the Republican Party. Now McCain/Palin want to do the same thing in Washington, D.C. But we already have a Republican president who should have cleaned up the mess. Changing from one Republican to another is not the change we need.
Barracuda is shre a good name for her. Please take some time to check this out.
Just type in the name Anne Kilkenny and read her amazing detailed story about Palin.
Folks, this is just the begining, she will peer off “O”riginal “B”eliefs “A”ntagnize “M”ajor
“A”mericans’ disguise pretty soon, and let those blindly followers clearly see their
delusive idol’s anatomy, then they will be consciously realizing that he is NOT the REAL ONE for CHANGE and LEAD…….
Chrene
Go Sarah Go !!! You have Class, Integrity, and Intelligence …. an American who is PROUD of their Country. Speak the Truth and stand on the principles that has build this fine Nation, you will not go wrong. We who love Liberty and Truth, don’t allow the liberal media or the far left dictate what we believe. We believe in YOU and John McCain !!!
Other than the fact Sarah Palin admittted to smoking marijuana excessively, she also had an abortion (I don’t think god would be happy that).
In 1983 while attending North Idaho College Sarah Palin went to Elizabeth Bianchi of Planned Parenthood in Spokane Washington to abort her pregnancy. It was said that she did this so that she could finnish college (witch was a great idea), but who was the father?
And Palin is a non entity. She’s not running against Obama, and until she can go and hold an intelligent interview on her own, she doesn’t really exist in my world.
Please ask O’Reilly to interview George Bush and let us see him make Bush admit that he lied through his teeth (and through Powell in the UN) to make his case for the war in Iraq. That 4000+ troops and counting was for oil and not Al Qaeda, that oil companies have made the most in the last 3 years (a successfull surge in their bottomline) and that the US has built the largest US embassy in the heart of Baghdad and yet call it Operation Iraqi Freedom. Then he can take credit for successfully implementing the surge which is working so well now.
This is great, Obama has a difficult time admitting his mistakes and but its quick to catch and harp of others mistakes. I look forward to part 2, I strongly believe Stormin’ Palin has got them on their heels. Yes, I’m democrat, I discovered the Democrat party is a sexist party, good luck Obama with Stormin’ Palin and the McCain Train…..
As a state politician she continued to do what her Republican predecessors had done, procured a tremendous amount of federal funding for her state.
For instance as mayor of Wasilla, she hired the lobbying firm of Robertson, Monagle & Eastaugh to lobby for funds for her city. She was able to procure $27 million in earmarked funds for a town of 7000 people. That over $3800 of federal funding per capita. If every mayor received as much funding, the federal government would have doled out 1.4 trillion dollars in ear-marks.
As governor of Alaska she continued this trend. Alaska is set to receive $506.34 per capita in federal ear marked (pork barrel) funding. This is the highest per-capita rate of any state in the nation. To put this in perspective, if the entire country received this level of ear-marked funding, the government would have spent 187 billion dollars on earmarks last year, ten times the amount of ear-marked funding that was spent.
On the one hand, one might say that this is fantastics, she has supported her constituents. However, she has done so on the back of the rest of the nation’s taxpayers. Once you are representing the entire nation you cannot simply support your constituents by taking an unequal part of the national pie.
The point is, it is easy to be a good leader when you have enough funding coming from elsewhere (e.g., the rest of us). But if you want small government, I am not so sure this is the person to deliver it. She is used to spending far more money than she takes in from her own taxes. As a federal executive she will either have to change her ways or will increase deficits.
No rebuttal, no criticism allowed on the Pitbull - right (right) foxnews = FRIGHTENING!!!!!!!!!!!
That interview highlighted exactly why I will not vote for Barack Obama. He has never and absolutely refuses to take Accountability for ANYTHING at all. No matter what he does there is a bunch double talk, spin and he has become a master at trying to redirect the spotlight to get others to fight his battles. Accoutnabilty is a huge for a president and it is a word he does not know. Palin used those words in her very first speech- Hold Me Accountable- I think Obama could learn much from a true reformer like Palin.
Palin and McCain hit him for stretching alittle too far his “biography” as a Community Organizer. Instead of saying ok so I embellished and I caused that remark with my untruthfulness. He turns around and says they are attacking community organizers everywhere. Wrong! I think he thinks all americans are either in love with him or too ignorant to know the difference of what the Republicans meant and what he has tried to twist it into.
Your comment space is not long enough for me to list every instace of him pulling stuff like this, but I tell you what attacking that Georgia congressman went alittle too far in the finger pointing of all us “racists” in America. Alot of people I know now feel that basically if you do not support Obama and say anything against him, they will twist it into racism and it is a motto his supporters live by. They are quick to attack and call any person Dem or Republican racists on the politcial boards if they do not intend to vote for Obama.
That’s actually turning off more voters then anything else. You should ask him to give you a list of approved words Americans and Politicans not supporting him can use that will not result in their being attacked as racists or racially insensitive.
WOULD NOT HAVE NEEDED A SURGE IF THE WAR HAD NOT BEEN VOTED FOR. AMERICA IS PAYING IRAQ SOLIDER $300 A MONTH TO KEEP THE PEACE-WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THAT ENDS?THERE ARE NO SIMPLE PNE LINERS TO FIX THESE PROBLEMS-DON’T THINK LIPSTICK WILL DO IT.
Let’s be realistic about this. Heart gets their royalties for a 30 year old song being played. They decide to whine and get a little press over it, and they look like children by doing so. I personally would rather not hear any celeb’s political opinion. But since it’s a free country for now (thanks to people like John McCain), they have the freedoms to share their views, and whine like babies over trivial things. If they were to do anything, they could have just said the song being used is not reflection of their political views, and just take their money and deal with it! That goes for any celeb, not just in this case. We have become such a nation of whiners.
In conclusion, I think Sarah Palin is just what we need in a VP! She is the epitome of a strong American woman. She is a powerful speaker, and can withstand whatever is thrown at her. she will handle it with wit, and a special kind of class that the Obama campaign could only dream of having.
I can’t wait to hear Obama’s response on O Reilly about Jeremiah Wright and his relationship with William Ayers and Louis Farakkan. I can’t understand how Obama supporters think this guy will change things in our country. He sat in a racist church for over 20 years and didn’t leave until he was running for the Presidency! Yet they think he will change things in Washington? Yeah right.
Sarah on the attack - what a telling headline. This means that she thinks that there are winners in war. Folks, if you have actually been there, there are only losers. This means that she apparently has no answers, only criticism - very republican. Nothing that we have accomplished in Iraq has been worth the price we have paid and probably will pay in the future. We have lost more than 35,0-00 dead and wounded Americans, spent billions that could have been better spent here, facilitated Russia’s return to preeminence in Europe and made Iran preeminent in the region. The world is full of unintended consequences.
You hit him, where it hurt. The light is shining in on him now.
Obama brings a change we can believe in 95% of America is suffering middle class now is like the poor class look at the Labor Dept announcement 89,000 + jobs lost we can’t take another for years of this . This is not nonthing to be playing with O’Reilly people and there families are suffering while the rich like you are playing around about it like it’s a joke.
The many little ways conservatives and Republicans are portrayed in dishonest light. You mentioned that Sarah Palin “lobbed the first missile of the general election”. Come on. What have the Democrats been doing for 7 1/2 yrs. What do you call what they’ve said about Sarah Palin in the days immediately after she was announced as McCain’s pick? All those personal attacks, unfounded rumors, plain out lies? You mean those weren’t missiles? What were they, Galaxial disasters?
If we can’t get Obama to own up to the little things, what can we expect of him when it comes to things that really count? Did you notice how he still can’t give our troops full credit for the surge succeeding?
Sarah Baracuda is so much better than Barry Obomber
Talking about doing great things doesn’t mean you’ve done them, or will do them, Obama. I’m noticing that Obama is now constantly quoting Obama. He’s as elusive as Bill Clinton when it comes to talking about what he has said. He sounds like he’s desperately trying to parse his previous statements in a lame attempt at defending his position…and everyone can see that, even his own supporters. What a sham!
Palin does not get it. She was selected to sway independent women who were not inclined to vote for Senator McCain. Instead of packaging herself as dirty Harry, she would be better off selling herself as Harriet (absent Ozzie).
Palin is window dressing pure and simple, not a equal in policy or politics and if Senator McCain does get elected she better enjoy going to foreign state funerals or giving speeches to the 4H club or NOW.
If there is a National Security or Economic Summit I am sure she will be given the notes after it is over and have the help of a tutor to understand matters. She can probably call Dan Qualye for some recommendations.
Hey you got to give the marxist credit, he had the stones to go on Bill O’reilly’s show, even if he made an idiot out of himself, Hillery wouldn’t go there as will not most of the libs, because they know Bill’s going to ask the questions the left wing media wont ask…
Gooooooooo Bill
Go, Sarah Barracuda, go! Where have you been all our life?! Oh, yeah, you were busy working hard to make your fellow Alaskans’ lives better, your hometown’s people’s lives better, your family’s life better. You are the kind of American hero we’ve been waiting for!
As a doc, my federal + state taxes will increase from 40.3% (2007 actual) to 55% under Obama.
Mr. Obama, I have a modest proposal for you. Take the top 5% of workers, round them up in a pen, and harvest all of their organs - pancreas, kidneys, liver, corneas, lungs, etc - for distribution to the lower 95% of wage-earners. This will tremendously alleviate a huge amount of suffering of people waiting for organ transplants. Moreover, any leftover organs can be sold on international markets to help fund free health care for the 95% of lower wage-earners. It is clearly the greatest good for the greatest number of people and highly utilitarian. A sacrifice by the top 5% will result in a tremendous amount of good for the remaining 95%.
Hello,
I think Sarah Palin will be the next Vice president of these United States of America. I think Obama is just a people follower. A little puppet on a democrat string. If he doesn’t believe in America, then move.
Amit it Obama you lost.
Everybody is saying how can Sarah be Vice President and take care of 5 kids. How many of her kids live at home and under 18 years of age? Duh, 3. Fox news need to bring that out because the Demorates and their supporters are pounding the ” 5 kids” into the ground. Let’s take this propagande away from the Democrates
I’m normally a big Fox news fan, but your coverage of Mrs. Palin offends me. Why is it that your television coverage continues to dwell on Mrs. Palin’s motherhood?
I do believe that Mrs. Palin is going to change the stereotype that the “nuturer” in families is the mother. Why can’t the American public belive that Mr. Palin is sufficiently capable of caring for their family. How is Mrs. Palin any different than John F. Kennedy who took office with two young children? No one questioned his ability to balance his duties as President with the demands of fatherhood. Why is that?
It is time for a women to lead this nation. I am proud that I will be casting one of the first votes for a female Vice President. I only wish that she was running for president.
Well, I hope this - and some other interviews - will finally show who are we dealing with here - a useless coward, who can’t stand up behind his own words… The thinking that he simply can’t make any mistakes is dangerous, by far more dangerous that make some, admit it, and change things. The guy can’t talk straight, he wants to sit on both chairs not realizing that at some point he will just fall between them - and he will!!!
http://webpages.charter.net/suasponte/ Displays an interesting article on Sarah Barracuda written by a woman that has known her for many years.
SARAH, IS COMPLETELY RIGHT, HE IS IGNORING THE SUCCEED IN IRAQ.
HE WILL NEVER DO IT BECAUSE HE LIVES IN DENIAL, AND NEVER
WILL GIVE THE CREDIT TO MACCAIN.
My wife and I always vote, but we really weren’t enthused by any of the candidates on either party until Sarah Palin emerged on the scene. She’s the kind of leader and portrays the image our country needs.
Pat and Herb Holeman
All I have to say Obama is an idiot! He dances around the questions and is good at pointing fingures at others.
O’bamma ran on putting an end to the war and beat Hillary . Now we see that the surge worked and O’bamma still won’t admit it . He also turned down Senator Clinton as VP . But he still wants all her votes (18 mill) . one mistake after another is what I see. I liked McCain at the Saddleback forum .
Why can’t we do the same interview on positions with Palin and Biden ?
The press seems intent on slinging mud at Palin and this is keeping the RNC ticket from honest interviews .
I think if the press backs off on mudslinging we would see an interview with position questions .
Come on Mediamudslingers do your real job and get honest questions that show that dignity is popular again.
Show more of the Republican town hall meetings not who Palin’s exbrother in law is.
Come on CNBC and MSNBC Liberals show partiality not bias .
I get tired of turning you off when I am looking for news I can use .
You can respond to this at kdburdett@msn.com
thanks
Why don’t you put up comments that confront what media reporters do?
Sarah Pahlin is the most refreshing thing that has happened for many years in the presidential campaings.
She is the Strecth that is needed for this country to get away from controlled politics.
God Bless her and family and keep it up!
Another typical Obama remark in which he doesn’t meant what he says. Again he talks out of both sides of his mouth rather than give a straight answer. Maybe he should just tell O’reilly “Present”.
Better be careful using the ‘barracuda song’- somehow the artists that recorded the song think that if you use their song it sends a message that they ‘heaven forbid’ support the person. Lay you odds that if it were the Obama/Biden team it would be acceptable. Guess they don’t want Republicans singing their songs. Won’t be able to listen to their music the same way anymore. Guess they don’t know that music is not political, unless specifically worded.
Sounds like she’s talking about some pretty important ISSUES. Is Obama deaf, or just stupid when he says that Republicans are silent on issues?
The McCain/Palin campaign should continue playing Heart’s “Barraccuda.” Someone needs to bite Obama on the backside until everyone in America gets the picture. Sarah Palin is just the one to do it too.
I was for the surge before I was against it. And obama voted against the gulf coast relief on 5/24/07
How could we vote for Obama, when the name alone connotes an all American name.BARACK OBAMA. If it is Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton it would be convincing to vote for American name. But OBAMA sound like OSAMA….
The surge wold have been over his pay grade.
To all Hillary Clinton supporters lets show Howard dean and barack obama how to show respect to the females in the party.. Go and vote. And vote for McCain this is the only way to send a massage to the democratic party. Respect the women in the party.
It’s quite dark outside, the phone rings, once, twice, then the receiver is lifted and put to an ear,
The voice on the other end speaks: Air space security at area US_153.14 has been breached.

B. Obana replies: PRESENT.
For the last 24 to 36 hours majority of television news stations have had some sort of news story concerning Sarah Palin. Before McCain chose Ms. Palin as his running mate the only people in this country who knew Ms. Palin were the residents of Alaska. Now everyone in the Republican Party believes she is a GOD send and will propel the Republican Party to another four years in the White house. Those who support the Democratic Party should wake up and understand the choosing of Ms. Palin was a strategic ploy to swing independent and democratic women to the Republican Party. One must understand the Republican Party is handling this election as a good player of any strategic game, always stay two to three moves ahead of your adversary. If the Democratic Party focuses their attention into this smoke screen, Ms. Palin, then the Republican Party has the Democratic Party right where they want them. Democrats must not allow focus to shift from John McCain and forget he is the one running for president not Sarah Palin. On another note but same issue, Oprah if you believe you have the upper middle and middle income white women in your hip pocket better think again. Based on some news stories out their many believe you are wrong for not wanting Sarah Palin on your show because she is the epitome of your show.
