I think McCain should post pone the conventon to a later date. The news reporters will not cover it because of the storm. Of course all news net works will not cover the conventon like they did the Demcrats It is all one sided towards the Dem.

May God of Heaven protect you New Orleans from this tragic Hurricane. May the God of Abraham averts the projected tragedy, let it turn out insignificant if not entirely "toothless and harmless".

In the meantime, let make record straight. McCain not forced to make changes to the RNC convention events because of generosity to the tax payers or love to the victims of the Hurricane. Not at all, he harvests "the Curse" the Obama's haters prayed for to disrupt the Democrats' Convention. The Hurricane is disrupting the Convention, that is all. McCain has no choice but a face-saving and crafty idea that he wants the convention to be service-oriented as a show of love. He should not receive a slight praise for an answered prayer to the Obama's haters, a lesson to those who mention God's name in prayer for ill-motives.

John McCain's decision to Put hurricane Gustav before the
RNC convention, is just another example of how McCain
puts country above politics. America should elect
McCain & Palin to the Whitehouse in November,
for a return to character and integrity, instead of
showmanship and grandstanding.
No Wright, no Farrakahn, no Ayers, no Rezko,
no mean Michelle, NOBAMA

I think the people of the Gulf coast would rather the GOP cancel its convention(Gustav) than cancel it's response.(Katrina)

You Go McCain. At least you seem genuinely concerned for the people in the path of Gustav. I hope we keep in mind all the people who are once again displaced due to this storm.

"I’ve been talking to governors Jindal, Barbour, Reilly, Crist, I’ve been talking to all of them," is McCain stance while Obama had his "staff" informing him so now Obama had to make calls himself what a hypocrite Obama is....He goes on n on about how he values the people more than McCain but didn't bother until he seen/was told about negative blogs to remember the people in the path of this storm.

"What they never understood is that this election was never about me-------it's about YOU!" Barack Obama

" my counterpart would rather lose a war than lose an election." John McCain

So please expalin why Sarah Palin is the best choice for the GOP #2. If her selection means that she could court the embittered fraction on Clinton supporters; what does that say about McCain's "lose an election statement? Does McCain care what he proposes to leave us with if he doesn't live to become 76? No!

Palin ADMITTED that 2 weeks ago she didn't know what the Vice-Presidents duties entailed. She may be a fast learner; but dizzamm....how much of a price would WE pay for her on the job training if the Senile Senator doesn't live thru the first term? Harp on Obama's experience if you will; but understand that he has read the decsription of the job he is running for.

I'm sure the GOP is full of people who share the views of Sarah Palin that KNOW what a Vice-President does. I'm not sure that they happen to be young females. This is PANDERING to the highest degree. Dan Quayle would have been a better choice. At least he knew what the job entailed.

It would be in the best interest of the country & RNC to postpone the convention in the wake of Hurricane Gustov. I'm a registered independant voter who will be very disappointed in the RNC to put the convention agenda ahead of a natural disaster. I along with others will have to re-evaluate my opinion of this decision by the RNC should they convene for this convention. "COUNTRY FIRST"

Here's something I thought would be HUGE for Mr. McCain!

IF he would stop the convention Monday as it is set to be and have all the speakers at some other safe location just to be on TV and give Louisiana and those states in harms way the money that would be spent on the convention.......it would make believers out of people wanting to see this maverick Senator making REAL change......therefore winner over more votes with the gesture. Of course there would be some cost related to all the vendors involved to not supply but it save money that could go to help. This jesture could not be topped by Obama!

McCain will do the right thing. Not like the obama DNC gang - with their staged event - just like a movie set - all FAKE. How much did this cost the American tax payer??????
Obama has turned this election into a circus - or American Idol show - disgrace!

Did he "buy" - a big bump - or stay about 5 pts ahead?????? Was it worth it??
