I don't see the significance of the disagreement between McCain and the rest of The GOP (including his running mate) regarding drilling in ANWR. If Bush couldn't get drilling in ANWR approved in 6 years with a Republican Congress, it won't get approved by a Democratic Congress. Offshore drilling, which Democrats are starting to consider, and development of alternative energy sources will reduce the demand for ANWR drilling in the long run.

When there is no chance of something happening, a disagreement about it is not significant to the voters.

I'd like to know how any republican could ever vote for Obama and still call themselves a republican!!! By the way. John Mccain is a federalist. He's not going
be all over any constitutional bans. Let the states handle what the states are supposed to handle!

I will tell you right now! If John McCain and his GOP croonies think they can brow beat the conservative movement and win this election then they'd may as well go ahead and cancel the RNC convention for next week! If McCain and the GOP party leaders keep this up then I along with many conservatives will revolt from the party and either vote for Obama or some other candidate such as Ron Paul or Bob Barr. I would rather see anyone else win besides McCain if this is how he is going to lead the Republican Party! McCain is showing his true colors and so are these big government liberal Republicrats who are drafting the party platform.

What, a negative article about the GOP on FOX? And you all said it couldn't happen.

I see no issues with Senator McCain not being in lock step with this delegation. They are not even in lock step with each other. Just like I don't agree with everything that McCain stands for I am not going to agree with everything this delegation writes. If I expect the to agree with the President 100% of the time, I better run for President!

Remeber, everyone is welcome to be and vote Republician. It is the true part of inclusion. You don't have to agree with us 100% on everything. For me I like the party because it is pro-business, pro-captialism and doesn't look to the government to provide me everything from cradle to grave. It's the party that wants and encourages me to take oppourtunities that are presented to me, make oppourtunities that are not and, as I am more successful, provide opportunities to others.

Democrats want the governement to provide for you. Your healthcare, your higher education, your employment, your housing and your retirement. To me this is socialism and it is not what America was founded on or where I want to see America go. That's not the kind of change I think we need. The opportunities are out there, it is up to the individual to work and take advantage of them.

This is why you do not nominate a liberal for the Republican ticket. I am so glad there is such division. Because we are going to see if Republicanism represents true conservatism or if Republicanism represents watered down liberalism. This is huge to see how the platform is written up.
