Obama Focuses Efforts on ‘08 Convention Speech
Barack Obama’s day was far from over once his high profile VP announcement rally in Springfield, IL, ended yesterday.
Upon returning from his day trip, Obama dropped his wife Michelle off at their Hyde Park home in Chicago Saturday evening. 20 minutes later, the candidate hit the road once again and headed to a downtown Chicago hotel, where he spent four hours and 15 minutes inside working on his convention speech Thursday.
It was the second day in a row that Obama spent on the speech, and considering his 2004 convention speech was the genesis of his political stardom, the bar has been set pretty high. If it’s not the most important speech of his career, it certainly ranks right up there.
The campaign explained that Obama is working out of the hotel because he prefers a quiet place to write (longhand - not on a computer). 27-year-old writer Jon Favreau is aiding the senator on the project.

Obama needs to focus on telling the truth and so does Biden. I can but wonder why Obama chose Biden and why Biden who would never be VP for anyone, (except McCain as he said himself he would be proud to be), excepted.

I don’t care what speech Obama makes.I will now be voting for John McCain. The Democratic party and the Obama campaign has showed too much disrespect for the Clintons and their supporters. McCain has some good issues too and I will go with the team that most represents my own personal values and the one that I trust the most. McCain in 2008! Clinton in 2012!
Better focus on how you will get around the comments from Clinton AND Biden which have both suggested that you are inexperienced and others who suggest that you lack judgment………speechs will only energize your base you already have….it will not get you around the Corsi charges and the results of the review of the book..”.The Case Against Barack Obama”….the 2nd of the two has less political jabs and more effective research……….see also the review in amazon books section on the 2nd book about the need to watch the “charmer” and the very interesting comparsion to castro by a former cuban national….most interesting indeed!
I would like to know if OBAMA is going to introduce the world to the rest of his family The ones who live in swaller in a third world country. I was appalled to read the same day that The Obamas earned 4 million dollars last year then seeing his 1/2 brother interviewed on CNN. This young man walked down a dirt rode and welcomed a reporter into his tin and wood shed he calls home THIS IS THE 1/2 BROTHER OF THE MAN YOU PEOPLE WANT TO PUT IN THE WHITE HOUSE; and you expect him to do something about the poor and poverty in your own country I am disgusted!! NOT for one minute do I believe this man cares anything about any of you,.my God his own flesh and blood is ignored and denied the chance of a good life in the USA!!!!
Lets hope his teleprompter doesn’t break down, or his speech will be one long “uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh”! The Pied Piper of Liberal Pu$$ies cant talk unless he’s reading a script.

Get ready for the 27 year olds speech. Obama is probably trying to memorize it so he doesn’t have to read it word for word. The reason why no one know Osama is because we have never heard his own words. He is a fraud and I don’t trust him.

All I can say to know nothing nellies is are you better off then you were eight years ago? Get a grip, if we elect McCain we will have a WWIII. We will alos never leave Iraq. Can we afford this in lives, security for the USA and money?
A mark of a good leader is his ability to motivate people. Obama has proven his ability at this.
As for McCain, all he knows how to do is complain about Obama’s abilities.
