I think that the problem McCain has with this video is the fact that he is put in the same category as two very evil people. John McCain voted for the war, he supported the surge, and he has no intention of making the mistake to leave before things are stable enough to do so. Madonna, whether you like her of dislike her for who or what you perceive her to be, is a citizen of the United States. A such, she has the right to express her views accordingly and openly. Sadly, the vast majority of those who have commented negatively on Madonna as it relates to this article have likely conveniently left this out. They have chosen to personalize their comments on primarlily if not quite wholly her sexuality, the expression of her art, her career success or personal life. Often powerful, independent people particularly women and those who are pioneers in their fields are scorned by significantly less successful, less independent followers of narrow minded beliefs and even narrower tolerance for difference in all its many forms.
