Hagel praises Biden VP selection

One of the more interesting statements to Obama’s Veep choice…

Republican Senator and McCain friend Chuck Hagel lavishes praise on the Obama-Biden ticket:

“Joe Biden is the right partner for Barack Obama. His many years of distinguished service to America, his seasoned judgment and his vast experience in foreign policy and national security will match up well with the unique challenges of the 21st Century. An Obama-Biden ticket is a very impressive and strong team. Biden’s selection is good news for Obama and America,” Hagel said in a statement released to reporters Saturday morning.

WOW..Neil Cavuto is such a joke! First he referred to Sen. Biden as ‘Mr. Biden or he’s a senator, right?’…what kind of a newsman is Cavuto? Maybe he should lay off the donuts and brush up on his politics!

Oh, and Cavuto kept saying that Biden might get lost in one of the rooms in that big house of his…MY house is larger than Biden’s, and I never get lost…so kept your cheap comments to yourself Cavuto, and lay off the donuts, your cheeks are getting fatter and fatter throughout the years…

‘His many years of distinguished service to America, his seasoned judgment and his vast experience in foreign policy and national security’

Just SOME of the things that Obama does not posess.

I hope those SUVs were at the very least Flex Fuel if not Bio Fuel. Good heavens how much fuel did they burn just getting off the Biden COMPOUND.

Hope they don’t win but if they do maybe Biden will be like Russias Putin and be the real power behind the throne of Germany’s king Obama

hagel and biden are the two biggest jerks on the planet.

Since Biden has all the qualities Obama wishes he had, seems to me the ticket should read Biden - Obama

Ok, “many years of distinguished service” is the factor that undermines Obama’s Change platform - If Obama is so big on change why does he choose someone with such a long political history? And why does Biden who has expressed serious doubts about Obama’s readiness and leadership abilities now accept the VP offer? The guy even voted for sending troops!
I guess in the end Ego , fame and power do cause BIG CHANGE…of heart that is! Cause a VP position is pretty much as high as Biden can go - after he lost his chance to be a president years ago.

Great ticket my arse

hardly a surprise. after all, Hagel is the retiring senator who is supporting Obama. If he had said something other than lavish praise, that would be more interesting.

Chuck Hagel and Joe Biden- proof positive of the six degrees of separation between McCain and Obama. Why have a Presidency? Let’s just have the Senate Gentlemans’ Club run things.

Yeah, I’ll praise the Obama/Biden ticket too. McCain’s election is a sure thing now.

Obama did a better job picking his VP than he did picking his Pastor and church of 20 yrs.

I just hope Biden isn’t a follower of James Cone as well.

This is a good choice. If McCain picks a VP for his weakness, the economy, it suggest Mitt Romney, who between the two of them, have what maybe 12 houses or more? Yah, they can really understand the struggles of the American people. This would be the richest ticket ever. Where as according to even McCain’s standards, Barack Obama is not wealthy having made under $5 million and Joe Biden has never lived in Washington, takes the train home nearly every day and is not a millionaire.

The 3 a.m. text message tweak on the nose of all Hillary supporters that their candidate has been passed by for the veep slot took a certain amount of bravado and guts. Is the time a coincidence? I think not. I am a mildly mortified but raise my glass to Obama for such a bold “in your face.”

Biden is basically a bought politician who will say or do anything to keep his corporate and wealthy donors happy.

Obama couldn’t even remember he (Obama) was the one running for president not Biden after all Obama introduced Biden as the next president, lmao and he is jumping on McCain for owning investment houses and not sure how many he had. After all now it is a crime to be born into a rich family!

Yes these two are meant for each other both are Chauvinists, racists, and may I dare say maybe plagiarists. My, my Obama picked a bought and paid for Washington insider who has been over 20 years, lmao so much for his wanting to run a different kind of campaign. guess Obama is playing Washington politics as usual.

you Obama followers quack me up! First just months ago Biden himself said he would be honored to run with McCain or against him but Obama was not ready, lol. Hillary said McCain is a honorable man and would be a better president than Obama.

Now Biden is smearing McCain? What’s a matter Biden you didn’t get the call to join McCain’s ticket so you went with second and only choice left?

Comment by Tuberose

Who is actually running for President. Joe Biden or Obama Hussien America. Seems Oboma changed his mind again about change and got one of the old gang to help him. Of course if you believe Biden Obama does not have the experience to run, I guess that is why he said this in the debates. I guess he was having a “Senior” moment and forgot, just as Obama did when he said Biden for President. Was Oboma having a “Senior” moment.

Many rank-and-file Republicans in Montana think a McCain/Conolezza Rice ticket would be the dream team to end all this debate.

Good speech by Biden and a great family on display. But I could not help wonder how, as a Catholic, he would explain to those beautiful grandchildren, if they should ask, what an abortion is and why he supports the procedure. Maybe they just won’t ask.
