Another Day of Veepstakes

As running mate speculation hits a hysterical high, reporters following Obama as he toured a Greensboro, NC, farmer’s market lobbed questions to the presumptive nominee on his decision as he shopped for peaches and bread.  “No new hints,” he said. A reporter who regularly travels with the campaign wondered if Obama is still “shopping” for a candidate. “John, how long did it take you to think of that question?” Obama shot back.

Staffers aren’t talking either. Obama’s national press secretary Bill Burton sent an email to reporters with the subject line: “Vice Presidential…” Reporters eagerly opened the email only to read, “Just kidding,” followed by a rundown of Obama’s day. Staffers traveling with Obama deflect questions surrounding the who, when, and where, leaving press and pundits to read the tea leaves.

In two days of campaigning, Obama has referenced two of those thought to be on the short list. Yesterday Obama heralded Delaware Senator Joe Biden for his commitment to send money to the nation of Georgia and today Obama praised Virginia Governor Tim Kaine for training workers in new technologies. Kaine will appear alongside Obama tomorrow at an event outside of Richmond, Virginia, and was described as a “great choice” for veep by Obama’s political companion today, Mark Warner.

Absent from his repertoire — Indiana Senator Evan Bayh, who is also thought to be a top contender. While Obama did not mention him, The Nashville Post (which according to Wikipedia is “an online news service covering business and politics in the Nashville, Tennessee metropolitan area”) reported that Obama would hold a “major event” in Indianapolis Saturday.

The campaign would neither confirm nor deny the report.

McCain needs to pick Gov Sarah Palin for VP.

Enough said!

We know one person who would like to be VP. There is a quote from Rev Wright at the April, 2008 National Press Corps:

We both know that, if Senator Obama did not say what he said, he would never get elected.

Politicians say what they say and do what they do based on electability, based on sound bites, based on polls, Huffington, whoever’s doing the polls. Preachers say what they say because they’re pastors. They have a different person to whom they’re accountable.

As I said, whether he gets elected or not, I’m still going to have to be answerable to God November 5th and January 21st. That’s what I mean. I do what pastors do. He does what politicians do.

I am not running for office. I am hoping to be vice president.

“God_D*mn America, it’s in the Bible” or so says his pastor,,,

“They give comfort to those who pray on HATE” B.O.s statement about HIS church ‘after the

truth got out’ - - of course HE attended for twenty years. Then said HE (Pastor wright) is not the

person I once knew?? Which is it ? B.O., do you even know?

” A different kind of politics” just a bought and paid for tag line, tested high

( in laboratory conditions ) for believability… (”They”) He talks down about those people He

thinks can not or will not hear his words, when convenient. Now finds himself under so many

(untruths)(mis_speaks)(Lies) He cannot see the sun.

Chicago style, A&& kissing and backstabbing at its best ? business as usual..

Move along people, “Nothing ( NEW ) to see here” Same Old _ Old Same…

Write Congress and tell them they need to get to work -or- Go home and let someone who

cares about the country take over: http://www.congressmerge.com/onlinedb/index.htm

I’ve got an idea. Why doesn’t Barack just have users text their choice to HIM, and the highest votegetter wins. That seems to be his method of making decisions, since he has no real principles or decisiveness.

The blog Not WRIGHT for America makes the argument that Obama’s pick will be Tim Kaine. Theory is that buzz about a month ago on Kaine was not leaking but a trial balloon, and since the far left did not pitch a fit about Kaine’s moderate credentials, Obama will go with him. We’ll know tomorrow.

Mr. Obama never says anything, or does anything, without first considering the political ramifications…He is a true politician..Unlike what he says about “a new change of direction for the cvountry…It will be anybody’s guess who he might pick as veep…and I fully believe after he makes his choice, he may change his mind again, if his “choice” proves to be an unpopular one.

Msg to Obama: Your chances are better (but not a sure thing) if your running mate is the one person who can improve them providing she would even consider accepting the offer. Yes, that person (who for the past number of weeks has remained off the news charts) is Hillary Rodham Clinton!

If You, Obama select Kathleen (whats her name) as a female running mate you will lose so big time because to choose any female other than Hillary would be the ultimate slap in the face and you would insure the election of John McCain because the white female populace that supported Hillary would be up in arms. But knowing you as the ultimate egotist and I will bet huge still smarting about the Primaries where Hillary gave you a huge run and by all intents and purpose should have been the nominee. But for your blocking the votes and delegates in Florida and Michigan (which she won and would have put her over the top) you wouldn’t even be in the process of selecting a running mate unless it would be for “second chair”, namely VP!

But knowing you Obama as the “slick snake” you are picking a female running mate other than Hillary Clinton would be the ultimate “gotha” toward her. You would want a “weaker” individual for VP, not someone that knows more than you do (actually you would have to look in the primate category for those credentials) because of your incredible ego and narcissistic traits. You hate losing in debates (the last Clinton debate skunked you); as did McCain at Warren’ church; you don’t fare well during press conferences or any other venue where you have to think on your feet. If elected are you going to sit in the oval office with the door locked writing “speeches”?????????

You are not the “chosen one”. You are not “the person for change”; and as for “hope” - well in that text you hope you will win. I’m betting you will not.

Hillary or McCain - 2008

OBAMA NEEDS TO PUT HIS PRIDE ASIDE AND PICK HILLARY— SHE IS THE ONLY WAY HE WILL WIN….. ALL THE MEAN COMMENTS ABOUT THE CLINTONS ONLY PISS OFF CLINTON SUPPORTERS… THAT IS WHY WE ARE GOING TOWARDS MCCAIN…. THE OTHERS ARE WAITING TO SEE IF SHE IS PICKED… IF SHE IS NOT, THEY WILL FOLLOW TO MCCAIN…. IF SHE IS PICKED EVERYONE WILL FOLLOW THEM….

I am sure that I am one of the few Obama fans on this blogsite, but I must say that if he announces Hillary Clinton as his VP choice, I will no longer be able to support him. While I might lean left, the Clintons have some SERIOUS character issues that I just can’t get past.
