The United States does not control the world’s supply of oil. No matter who we elected in 2006 would not have made the slightest difference in terms of oil prices. The rising competition for oil due to new markets has risen the costs dramatically. India and China are becoming world powers and are demanding more oil to support themselves. Even Bush hasn’t been able to appease the oil-controlling governments that supress civil rights and maintain power by force. I guess that’s there’s only so much we’re willing to pay when it comes to promoting civil liberties around the world. Forget the oil suppliers, look at the great democracy Iraq is becoming. Wait a minute, forget that one too, Iraq is too corupt to function independently. I guess we should just look at the bright side.

Obama is anti-american and should fly the AMERICAN FLAG high and be proud of it or just leave ths country wel the people well not let him drag theStars and Strips down the drain. He cannot run this country he lead a racist life for 20 years till he got caught and he runs with crooks.

when Americans look for a change in leadership — for the crumbling economy, skyrocketing gas prices,
encompassing budget deficit, health care, the environment, education, and on and on - they only see MCBush
economic advisor blasting a “nation of whiners,” , MCBush is totally out of mind and out of touch when is continuing failed Bush policy while ignoring that 81% of
the nation says America has pretty seriously gotten off-track.

Back in May, Dr. Tantillo (’the marketing doctor’), who has (a blog on branding) did a post arguing against the idea of an Obama-Clinton ticket–positing that from a branding perspective, it makes no sense, and actually wouldn’t be a good move for Clinton’s brand, either.

“Because of the length of this primary fight, brand identity and loyalty to brand have become central. What this means is that a kind of brand mutual exclusivity has set in.”  Not sure if I agree or if this idea still holds at this point, but it is a compelling argument - (and one that I at least think goes a long way toward explaining Obama’s hesitation to choose Clinton as his running mate–even if it would go a long way toward building party unity and seemingly clench the general election for Obama.)
