Obama Denies Rift with Clinton; Says Unification has Been “Seamless”
Barack Obama paid a brief visit to the small group of reporters traveling with his campaign on the eve of his Hawaiian vacation - likely the last time he’ll take questions before his week-long family trip. Curious of news that Senator Clinton recently asked that her delegates have a voice during the upcoming Democratic Convention, reporters focused much of their attention on the nature of the two former rivals’ relationship.
“I spoke to Sen. Clinton this week. She’s campaigning for me in Nevada and Florida and she is very enthusiastic about the need for a unified party. I think we’re gonna have a terrific convention,” Obama explained, adding “We’re still working out the mechanics of the four days and our staffs are in communication with Sen. Clinton’s staffs. But I don’t anticipate any problems.”
While Senator Clinton has expressed that she does not believe she will steal the nomination in a brokered convention, it would still likely highlight any divisions within the Party. Obama would not speculate on how the dilemma will resolve itself, but did say their “respective teams” would work out the details.
A reporter wondered if having Clinton’s name entered in nomination would be “cathartic” as opposed to divisive. “I don’t think we’re looking for catharsis. I think what we’re looking for is energy and excitement about the prospects of changing this country, and I think that people supported a whole range of different candidates during the primary are gonna come out of that convention feeling absolutely determined that we’ve got to take the White House back,” Obama replied.
Obama appeared annoyed when pressed on why the matter has yet to be resolved just days out of the convention. “There hasn’t been controversy other than what you guys are projecting right now,” he implored.
Although Clinton’s supporters are talking about voting for their former candidate on the Convention floor, Obama said talks with her staff have been “seamless.”
So what’s the problem? A reporter wondered what’s so hard about making the decision - yes or no. “Just because I am not answering your question doesn’t mean that it is hard. It is getting worked out by our staffs.”
Stay tuned.

This just proves once again how out of touch Obama is. He doesn’t just have a Clinton problem. He has 18 million of them. This empty suit, lying hypocrite is not qualified to even be a senator. My wish is for Hillary Clinton to unsuspend her campaign and without a doubt she will be our next president.
Puma Power
And we all believe you guys are tight as peas and carrots!!! Give us a break for at least having common sense! Obama has no credentials, arrived from nowhere, the DNC annointed him and money fell from heaven–now he’s stolen the nomination from numerous better qualified individuals thanks to the DNC (John Dean you skunk are you reading this?)
Meanwhile–Big John McCain–somehow became the presumptive nominee for the GOP.
I’ve been involved in politics since 1974–and I gotta say I don’t see Obama and Clinton’s relationship as seamless–and I sure can’t figure out how McCain won the GOP nomination.
After 34 years of watching both parties in our dual party system screw things up, I’m convinced it’s time to hire an executive who doesn’t have ties with either one of them.
Gridlock, power struggles, continuous growth in the size/cost of government, daily legislative attacks on free action (penalties for smoking, penalties for improperly disposing of recycled waste, penalties for improper pool enclusures, penalties for eating fat, penalties for eating out, penalties for using cell phones, penalties for using the internet———)of Americans!!!
Where does it end?
Libertarians 2008
The third largest party and growing for a reason.
What a snake. Obama and the dems are “seamless” now I suppose.. since they booted out all the centrists like myself. Now all that is left is the far left socialists, kooks and opportunists.
I am an independant now. I will be voting for McCain.
“” Says Unification has Been “Seamless””
NOW that’s FUNNY !
“”Says Unification has Been “Seamless””
NOW That’s FUNNY!
Yep. Uh huh. Seamless, that’s it. Right. No problems here. Yep.
Obama’s denial is going to hurt him even more in the end. He will lose - not electible.
Many people still think HRC is the right choice, but don’t put 2 and 2 together. She spent money she didn’t have and is now 20million in debt. That is how most americans got into debt. Using credit to pay for things you feel you need now. Obama’s personal finances are a positive. Born poor and now a multi millionaire by writing positive books and audio books. If a person’s house isn’t in order he shouldn’t be making decisions on how to put your house in order. But when its in order like Obama’s is then it gives real credibility. I don’t want a VP trying to solve the natrions economy that is 20million in debt. She had the public eye, she could have gotten free positive publicity somehow. Instead she spent her money on 3:00am commercials.
Just another example of Obamas judgement
Why is Fox so determined on creating rifts between Clintons and Obamas? Obama is a great leader and as leaders, they’ve sealed their differences. If they are putting up a united front, its important. Obama is a man on his own terms anyway. he is a visionary leader. Please vote for Obama, visit WHYOBAMA08.ORG!!
[...] Speaking to reporters aboard his campaign plane, the Senator says convention coordination between his campaign and Clinton’s staff has been “seamless.” [...]
Obama a leader????? Boy is that a joke. The man has done nothing but display himself as someone who has no idea’s of his own. I really do not think that he will be able to win in Nov and that is really a shame. As a Democrat I was really hoping that we would have a candidate that all Democrats could get behind. Oh well….. Maybe in four years but as long as Dean is in charge I think the Democratic party is in big trouble.
So what’s neww, Hillary wants to be the candidate and can’t give up–that would mean she lost!
I am not sure what Hillary intentions are but she sure is causing problems, the demoncrats has spoken but she is not listening i truely believe she has some hidden agenda behind her action that will come out if she is not elected. I use to think highley of her now it’s sad that she don’t know when to give up. And her debts i don’t think she should be helps by the Obama campagin because she was told early in the primary there were no way she could win but she kept on ticking and digging a deeper hole and now she is crying for help and still causing division. America please show her thru door number 3 which is her front or back door.
What does seamless mean in this case? It will take more than a sewing machine on this one and a lot of Super Glue….
Go Hillary
A roll call is procedural, but this year the super delegates are selecting the candidate in April and May so there is no need for a democratic process as silly as a roll call. Maybe they would like us to give up our rights to vote in November. We can do things the Chicago way and just have the campaign fill out the absentee ballot.
It appears that voters aren’t buying the media spin for Obama.
The media is not delivering the info voters want:
1) Obama’s experience and accomplishments ,
2) His racial biases for 23 years.
Clinton has been under a microscope for more than a decade.
Race issues take the spotlight off Obama’s lack of public service OR experience.
Racial discussions are stale.
Obama is neither black nor white.
The most capable Dem candidate always has been Clinton.
This is not a complex issue.
There is no party unity, nor will there be. Not as long as Howard Dean and Nancy Pelosi and Donna Brazille are in the picture. While people strongly dislike Obama and wouldn’t vote for him anyhow, its the prospect of Dean, Pelosi and Brazille that is instilling such anger and hatred that they are actually voting FOR John McCain. Otherwise they would probably just sit out the election. The Dems need to fire all three of them. Then it might at least be a close election instead of a Republican blow out.
The words I heard from Bill Clinton two days ago didn’t sound all that much like solidarity. Obama has a problem with the voters in Michigan and Florida, the Hillary Clinton supporters, the Hispanics, the blue collar workers and, now it appears, with a number of his most ardent supporters.
Boy, I would be embarrassed to call myself a Democrat with their leaders today. What idiots. I ‘m a republican, but I don’t always vote republican. I voted for Bill. He did do some great things for this country. Maybe not so good on Foriegn affairs and I could really care less about his (lewinsky affair). Congress had more skeletons than he.
Pelosi i a joke along with Harry Ried, Howard Dean. If I was a Dem, I would vote all these yawhoos out of office. What a disgrace.n They dissed the wife of a 2 Term President.
I would honestly be happy with Hillary or McCain.
Hillary is more a Leader than Barrack ever thought about. The clearly won. It’s sad the they will steal this from her because you Dem’s votes really don’t count because of the Superdelegates.
Too Bad.
I thought the Dems were for the small people? Where are they now? Oh yea that’s right their on vacation. The Republicans are still in DC demanding they return to vote on drilling. Nancy Pelosi wouldn’t allow a vote on drilling, likely because it would pass. Pelosi promised 2 yrs ago to lower gas prices. What happened? The Dems have had control of Congress. 75% of Americans believe we should drill.
Vote these Dem Yawhoos out of office. Show them they are there because we elect them.
Go McCain or Hillary ‘08
Anyone but Obamanation
C’mon Mr. Obama and Bill, are you telling us we’re stupid ? Most reasonable people will tell you that this rift has been there all along. What I am ticked off about is seeing BO (Bend Over) for “Mr. Me, Myself and Me.” Mr. Bend Over is in a no-win situation that he and the Clintons have created. The loser will be the Democratic party.
Mr. Clinton, you’ve already left your disgrace in the annals of the Presidency. While I laud you for some of your current work, I cannot forget your past transgressions. Maybe you’ll reconsider and stay off the podium along with Mrs. The podium was won outright by Senator Bend Over.
Please advise your reporters to take tear gas masks along with lots of toilette paper. Good luck all.
Democrat peasants just don’t get it. Do you think the super-delegates really care whether Obama or Clinton is the nominee? Or do you think all they care about is what’s in THEIR best interests?
What’s in THEIR best interests is a Democrat in the White House. They increasingly know that Obama can’t win. He barely limped across the finish line in the primaries. He can’t or won’t produce a genuine birth certificate that even shows he is eligible (born in the US) to be President. The more people know him, the less they like him. He is sinking in the polls. Etc.
This is a big problem for those who REALLY run the Democrat party. They would have no problem stealing the election at the convention; they’ve been stealing elections for decades. The problem is that they don’t know whom to steal it from!
If they shaft Obama, then there’s this big problem with the blacks who are too stupid to know when they’re being shafted by the Democrats decade after decade, but they’re smart enough to see it when it happens right before their eyes in broad daylight.
Or, they can stick with Obama, continue to hold onto the black block, enrage other factions — Clintonites, unions — and lose.
It’s big problem, but remember, it’s all about THEM, not you.
As usual the obamatrons, from their fake messiah on down, are spinning a dream - but it has no more substance than cotton candy. Yet, their fans as above, hold to a pretense of being educated.. . then there’s pretending to be honest . . . then there’s appearing to carry about anybody else or America itself . . . and when all else fails, blackmail, intimidate, harass and threaten. Nobama bloggers know too well the depth of their deceptions and contempt for democracy.
Considering what obama camp routinely does to maliciously attack and destroy even minute opposition, God only knows what they’ve been saying and doing behind the scenes to make Sen. Clinton “fall in line” with appearance of support. Clinton dems don’t buy it and the rest of America shouldn’t either.

This is hilarious! If this is true, then why are so many Clinton supporters voting for McCain? I am! Obama is a joke and I will never vote for him, even at Clinton’s request. He has no experience and has bad judgment. This is just another example of his poor judgment. McCain for President!!
I believe Hillary should put her name on the ballot. Why should she let Obama get away with what he and the DNC did to her by talking the superdelegates into voting for Obama and they would get favors granted. Nancy wants to be the only woman in charge and Dean doesn’t like the Clinton’s. Both of them need to be replaced and we should nominate honest politicians in their place. If Obama doesn’t nominate Hillary for his VP I hope he loses the election.
If Clinton was the best candidate, why did she loose the primary. She hoped the superdelegates would swing a loss her way but instead went with how the people voted. The best candidate ran the best campaing and won. I’m sure Hillary would have cleaned Mccain clock but that sense of ENTITLEMENT that those hillarious PUMAS can’t let go of led to her demise. The same way Mccain sold out the Rove and co will lead to his. I’m canadian, but i’m eager to see history being made to see if America is that great place it claims to be the world.
You Puma people out there are the biggest joke on this earth, you are stupid and childish and nothing more than a bunch of racits. You all need to be brought down on your knees. Vote for Mccain if you are so blinded to all the facts that we will have another four years of Bush. Do you think Cindy is going to put gas in your car, put food on your table, make your house payment. You dont have to worry about your drugs, she has plenty connections there to get them for you. Go ahead Vote for Mccain then.
I doubt that Hillary and Obama are the best of friends after this primary, but they are both smart enough to keep their eyes on the prize, which is the White House in November. To those PUMA people out there, Hillary lost, accept it. She won’t be running. To those complaining about a roll call, get over it. Your candidate won, we all know that, Clinton isn’t going to be taking the nomination away from him, its okay. As far as Clinton’s debt, we are aware that she has debt. Shut up about it already. Hillary will be fine, if she wants to continue to ask for donations until the convention that is her right, stated in the bylaws of the DNC due to the fact that she only suspended her campaign. And we all know how much you Obama supporters just looove those rules. And you all need to quit whinning like a bunch of babies.
Boy did the Democrats screw this up for themselves. The ball was lobbed to you slow and over the plate and all you had to do was hit the ball. So you guys put a guy up to bat that has never played ball, doesn’t know how to hold the bat or which way to run. Don’t worry, 2012 is only 4 years away and that will give you plenty of time to comb the high schools for your next candidate.
Obama spin……that is all it is. Typical out of touch politican. When Senator Obama talks the only thing to be considered is the side bet when he will flip-flop on what he just said. All of his words are words no one can believe in. What a shame the DNC annointed this guy. Oh well, four years of McCain is a far better choice than 4 years of Obama. Country first - Party second…..McCain 2008
1980:
Jimmy Carter - 1981 delegates
Ted Kennedy - 1225 delegates
Uncommitted - 122
No way Kennedy could win, but his name was placed in nomination.
2004:
John Kerry: 2192.5 Pledged delegates
Howard Dean: 114.5 Pledged delegates
Dean had already dropped out with no chance of winning, but his name
was placed in nomination.
2008:
Barack Obama: 1766.5 Pledged delegates
Hillary Clinton: 1639.5 Pledged delegates
The contender is being told to shut up for the sake of the party.
In addition, Teddy Kennedy has had his name on that first ballot in
1968 (12 votes), 1972 (12 votes), 1976 (1 vote), 1980 (1150 - he lost
some supporters along the way).
Jesse Jackson has had his name on that first ballot twice: 1984 (465
votes), 1988 (1218 votes).
Why then is Dean so determined to keep Clinton off that ballot?
YOU HEAR THAT THE MESSIAH STATED THERE IS NO PROBLEM !!!!
So that means all you HILLARY supporters need to JUST SHUT UP, GET IN LINE BEHIND THE MASTER, DO AS YOU ARE TOLD, AND STOP BEING BITTER OLD WOMWN AND BAW DOWN TO THE MESSIAH!!!!
MAN Is Obama that STUPID, I know most of his WORSHIPPERS are that STUPID.
I mean what is Obama, he is A FLIP FLOPPING, RACE BAITING, RACIST, LYING CHICAGO POL!!!!
Just look at what his RELIGIOUS MENTOR( REV WRIGHT) of more than 20years.
REV WRIGHT STATED OBAMA WAS JUST A LYING POLITICIAN,THAT WOULD SAY ANTYTHING TO GET YOUR VOTE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would think after 20years the REV WRIGHT know Obama best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THERE are a LOT of PUMAs out there, me I’m an Independent, I would have VOTED for Hillary, BUT WILL NOT VOTE FOR FREAK Obama. I dont care who he picks for his VP!!!!!!!
SO NO NO NO Obama08!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
[...] Raum. It’s an AP article, and they are not very good at sharing, but here is a similar one at Fox (I know - ewww - but I was looking for something else I had heard was on there, and here the piece [...]
All HRC supporters should just go out and support McCain or somoeone else but Obama That way you do not feel like the candidate was shoved down your throats. And if he looses then you wont have to worry about seeing his face often….
NO BAMA EVER..
Hillary lost, get over it. Some keep mentioning her 18 million suporters. What about Obama’s supporters? We count too, and we have spoken. Now, if you have a problem with that, vote for McCain if you want to. That’ll turn out to be a bad joke and is the equivalent of biting off your nose to spite your face.
I’m sick and tired of hearing the bs about Obama not having experience. Most of you doing the most complaining and talking could not have done half of what this man has done on his own. Do you honestly think that Hillary or John could have done what Obama has done on their own?
I’m college educated, as are most of Obama’s supporters, and as such am very familiar with a term that we call “research”. Try it sometime. You’ll be surprised how much you can learn about our candidates on your own, without the media spin.
It used to be for me “ABC” (anyone but Clinton). Now that tid bit seems like a fond memory. What a phony fraud that obama guy is.
SEAMLESS..?????
OH MY…
Please don’t tell me this guy is really this far off.
Well I guess that’s what the party leader’s do.
IF they say it enough it must be true….. OR so they think…
I CAN”T BELIEVE I AM SAYING THIS…. But I hope the Clinton’s have not changed. And they go on the attack . At the best possible moment for them.” The convention”
Dream on Obama.
We Hillary supporters will not let him get away with buying the nomination. His money may have pushed Hillary into debt and cause her to have no choice but to step aside, and worked well stuffing the pockets of the Deligates, and Super deligates to buy their votes, but Obama’s money can not buy the votes of millions of us that know and are begining to know what a lying arrogant typical do what ever it takes to win politician!
Obama, who narrowly leads in the count of pledged, “non-super” delegates, has doled out more than $698,200 to superdelegates from his political action committee, Hope Fund, or campaign committee since 2005. Of the 82 elected officials who had announced as of Feb. 12 that their superdelegate votes would go to the Illinois senator, 35, or 43 percent of this group, have received campaign contributions from him in the 2006 or 2008 election cycles, totaling $232,200. In addition, Obama has been endorsed by 52 superdelegates who haven’t held elected office recently and, therefore, didn’t receive campaign contributions from him.
Obama has his optic nerve crossed with his alimentary sphincter.
