McCain: No Final Decision on V.P.
Columbus, OH–
The McCain veepstakes talk continue this evening with the candidate telling Sean Hannity that he has not made a final decision on his running mate. So, Mitt Romney and Tim Pawlenty don’t forget to send flowers to Sedona this weekend!
Hannity asked McCain what he is looking for in a number two, “Someone who shares your priorities. Your principles, your values and I’ve got to also say priorities. One of the toughest decisions the president makes is setting priorities. And so, that has to be those obviously important characteristics. And one of them of course is, someone who can take your place immediately,” McCain then chuckled about his age, “That’s maybe the advice almost even more important in my case.”
McCain was supposed to meet with Louisiana governor, Bobby Jindal tonight– another much talked about Vice-Presidential choice, but the campaign cancelled the trip due to approaching Hurricane Dolly.
Jindal told Fox and Friends this morning that he does not want to be considered for the Vice-Presidential slot saying he has the job he wants, but he will help McCain get elected.
While campaigning in Pennsylvania today the presumptive Republican nominee had kind words for Jindal and Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty, “He’s a great, fine person. Re-elected in one of the toughest re-election years in the history of the Republican Party,” McCain told reporters, “He has pretty successfully been able to work across the aisle in Minnesota with the Democrats. And I think he is, he, Bobby Jindal and a number of governors, I think are the future of the Republican Party. The next generation of leadership.”

did you see him on Conan Obrien, he fell alseep why isnt the media covering this??? This is crazy. look at the video LOL WOW http://www.mccanes.com
If Romney is the VP, you can count that all the so-cons will revolt and not vote or vote for Chuck Baldwin. You heard it hear first. They will be so upset and will feel like they went under the GOP bus. Seriously, McCain cannot be that dumb. He just lost Ohio, Georgia, Missouri, Iowa, Michigan, and Florida.

Overall MITT ROMNEY!! the most strong economy it’s will makes a great boost for McCain.
THANKS,
Gee, I can hardly contain my excitement. McCain to name a V.P. Definitely the most exciting point in his campaign (with a small “c”). It is difficult to guess about who he could select who would be less exciting than he is. Obama v. McCain isn’t a campaign, or race at all. It’s a coronation. That’s been obvious for awhile, but made obvious with the cover of Rolling Stone. This election was over the day McCain won the nomination. And I say this as a registered Decline to State …but non undecided.
It’s too bad, I wanted Jindal. I’m glad nobody is talking about Huckabee anymore, he would get eaten alive by the media.
Sad show people
Two more worthless candidates
We do not care about your VP McCain. You are still going to loose in november!
hear are some good choices for Mccain:
Larry Craig
Mark Foley
Scooter Libby
Dan Quail
Mitt Romney has essential qualities that McCain does not, specifically his economic background, suave appearance and ability to speak articulately and without bursts of temper. Jindal will have his time; but now is too soon. Although the left-leaning media wants to portray the election as already over (with Obama as a landslide winner), McCain still has a great chance to win this thing, but he’s got to pick his running mate and start addressing issues, and stop being on the defensive end of everything that Obama is doing! Be Proactive on the issues–stop letting Obama always be the one who “appears” to be proactive on the issues!!
Gov. Jindal knows better than to let himself get anywhere politically near McCain.
who the heck is Pawlenty? No, No! bad choice. No one knows him and he doesn’t have the star power of Mitt.
Anne: If social conservatives would not turn out if McCain picked Romney as you say, than that shows you another reason why the Republican party is falling apart. Why wouldn’t they? Because he is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints? If that is why, then that shows their complete ignorance and bigotry when he meets their standard of a Christian. What is that? Professing that you believe and are a follower of Jesus Christ to the best of your ability. This is why William Buckley tried to flush bigots out like this out of the conservative movement because of their intolerance of a mans beliefs that may not match theirs perfectly. Again, if this is the reason why they would not vote for Romney, than the Republican party is way better off. Their should be no room for ignorant bigots and should go find a candidate who holds their same values.
Here are some good choices for B.O.:
‘Boo Boo’ - Yogies sidekick - currently available, also works “BO & BOO”
“Rainbow Bright’ - she has her own unicorn, cost savings
‘Scoobie Doo’ - He could work on the mystery of B.O.s missing ‘brain’
‘The amasing HulK’ - He is green
If McCain selects Bobby Jindal as VP, he will be contradicting his message and criticism of Obama’s inexperience. That will show his true color. He will rather win the vote than make a decision based on the best interest of the American people. I get tired of the fox news hailing Mccain as a hero etc. Yes he was a POW but I bet you if you asked him to volunteer as a POW before he got captured he would not have gone. He found himself in a position that he did not expect and he lived to tell a story. big deal! That has nothing to do with experience.
Mike Huckabee is the best choice!
To Michael from Atlanta
I have a list better than that for Obama for v.p.how about:
BIN LADEN
COUNTRYWIDE’S J. JOHNSON
REV, jEREMY WRIGHT
FATHER FLEGER
MR REZKO
JEFFERSON (freezer money)
Jesse Jackson
Al Sharpton
GO MCCAIN
McCain /Rommey would be the Winning ticket!!!
I think Marie Osmond should be McCain’s VP; she has wisdom, young (relatively speaking), attractive, sharp businesswoman, amicable, has dealt with adversity in her life, a great spokesperson for one of the biggest issues America is dealing with, obesity as well as mental health; as a Mormon she’d pull in the Mormon vote and she would garner support from Social Conservatives in the South. She knows how to grow businesses and add jobs unlike Mitt that has made his fortune on buying companies and gutting their workforce and finding ways for company execs to skirt paying their fair share of taxes though offshore tax havens in the Grand Caymans…
Besides, she has much more experience than Obama with foreign diplomacy given her international presence…
McCain/Osmond, that’s the ticket…
McCain’s grasp on the economy is only about a dozen times better than Obama’s. That makes it McCain’s weaker suit. McCain has been chairman of the commerce committee and has served on that committee and others intimately connected with the US economy for decades. Obama.. well, did we mention he’s a community organizer? Hey, he got into a sweetheart land deal with Tony Rezko, so he must have SOME good financial judgement, eh?
McCain plan: keep taxes low, attack pork barrel politics
Obama plan: skyrocket taxes on those who achieve success to at least 50% just for federal (not including state taxes, etc) - disincentivize success - Further increase corporate taxes to punish businesses, even if it results in less government revenue - encourage lawsuits and trial lawyers with their frivolous lawsuits - trash instead of reform the medical system. Obama + Liberal Congress = welfare state.
Maybe the surge was expensive. I wonder what it would have cost the US had we followed Obama’s plan, pulled out at the height of the sectarian violence, and watched Iraq descend into chaos and overt civil war. How much as we watched that country burn and totally destabilize the middle east? Thanks to McCain we have pulled potential real victory and some glimmer of hope of an ally in the middle east from the jaws of defeat. I love Obama’s waffling when Katie Couric tried to actually get an honest answer out of him. When even your media allies are reality checking you, you have gotten out of touch.
I want CONDI…
Tim Pawlenty is brilliant and would be a fine VP for John. He’s young, handsome, tons of experience, an excellent Elocutionist and a wonderful person to be around.
PUMA
JOHN McCANN/ TIM PAWLENTY 08.
VP’s for Obummer:
Ward Churchill
Bill Maher
Michael Moore
Rob Zombie
