Obama Weighs in on Clark’s Controversial Comments

“I guess my question is why, given all the vast numbers of things that we’ve got to work on, that that would be a top priority of mine?” Obama said, responding to a reporter who asked the candidate why he hadn’t called on Wesley Clark to apologize for his remarks yesterday. “I’m happy to have all sorts of conversations about how we deal with Iraq and what happens with Iran but the fact that somebody on a cable show or on a news show like General Clark said something that was inartful about Sen. McCain I don’t think is probably the thing that is keeping Ohioans up at night,” he added.

Obama said he has not spoken to Clark since the retired four star general and Obama surrogate told CBS’ Bob Schieffer that he didn’t think “riding in a fighter plane and getting shot down is a qualification to be president,” although Clark has since said he’s spoken to campaign staffers about his statement.

Both the RNC and the McCain campaign have seized Clark’s “inartful” remarks, as Mr. Obama described it, and have sent out a flurry of statements and held conference calls to hammer home that because Obama did not ask Clark to apologize, then he is “either encouraging or tolerating his attacks on John McCain’s military service.”

Obama himself has railed against dirty politics on the campaign trail, but says General Clark’s comments didn’t have “the same intent” as the Swift Boat attacks that haunted John Kerry’s campaign in 2004.

We are so tired of you sending out your minions to trash someone or somebody and then you coming back to say it isn’t so. This is just a ploy and we are darn tired of it. Nobama is the same old politician we have been living with for years. He is no different, and just maybe is dirtier than your run of the mill politician.
Grow up Obama, the world is looking at you and are seeing the dishonest, liar that you are.
I will vote McCain even though I am Democrat. Obama does not belong in the White House.

The comments Gen. Clark made are true. Mccain is trying to fool us into believing he has foreign policy and national security credentials because he was a POW. Gen. Clark lead the forces, Mccain hasn’t led anything. Mccain is a follower.

Oh! So Mr. Obama is too busy to worry about what people connected to his campaign have to say about Mr. Obama’s opponent? He has so much more important things to do. He’s also too busy to listen to anyone who doesn’t idolize the ground he walks on. He’s yet to convince me that he isn’t too busy to attend to the needs of others instead of his own agenda of getting elected.

Oh yeah, and by the way, I also have a problem trying to survive on less than $500,000 and provide my children with violin, piano lessons, a nice home and nice cars. In fact I have a H ell of a problem on getting by on hundreds of thousands less than that.

Gen Clark wants to discuss judgement. He did not use much judgement in making such a statement.

I would like to hear Gen Clarks reaction to Mr Obama’s choice of spiritual leader of 20 years plus

John Kerrys’ attacks were by the men who served with him not the Republicans. seems they took exception to his claims and said they were false. The men who served with McCain are not doing that so it kinda makes you wonder if there might be a , ah how to put this nicely, BIG DIFFRENCE in the facts as in McCain did what he is said to have done and Kerry might of fib a bit. Also McCain has sons in the war now and Obama, who never served nor does he have anyone of his children in the military so for his team to say pooh about McCain is wrong. Clark should shut up, wasn’t it him that wanted to bomb Russia?

Ok, I got one question for General Wesley Clark; what is Senater B. Obama’s qualifications to run for president?????????????????????????????????????????
Well, on the back of any postage stamp has enough room to write down his qualifications and experiences, every body knows about that.
However, you should be shame of youself by making such a disgraceful comment
on Senater John McCain.
On the other hand, all of those, who are realizing such truth with the open minds,
will definitely agree that his qualifications and experiences are at least ten times better than the talking-head!

I think it is disgraceful that one of Mr Obama’s surrogates and vice presidential candidates has demeaned the service and sacrifice of a true American hero…John McCain. Shame on him for “winking and nodding” instead of condemning and distancing himself from Wesley Clark. Mr Clark served our county well and I would not think of criticizing his service. It’s too bad he had to stoop so low and hit so low below the belt. It’s also too bad that Mr Obama is getting down there with him. Some call this Swift Boating. New type of politician? I think not.

BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA WAS “SELECTED” — NOT “ELECTED”.

Does anyone doubt Obama’s ability to “stage” events after this?

I mean a speech in Independence, Missouri about “patriotism”, while a surrogate talks trash about McCain’s military service. There’s something wrong when a “presidential” candidate feels they need to give a speech and EXPLAIN “PATRIOTISM”.

Obama is taking a very low road after pledging to have a campaign that doesn’t sling mud. I quess this is just another flip-flop by Obama.

His “words” and speeches mean nothing to this Independent anymore.

I get it, he “HOPES” you won’t notice how many times he “CHANGES” his position to suit the audience, the polls, the prevailing winds — or whatever!

This guy is the biggest fraud to come down the pike in the history of this country.

Gen. Clark is dramatically more qualified than McCain will ever be when it comes to executive-level military experience. He is also more qualifed than McCain to be a commander-in-chief. Ironically, Gen. Clark is actually more qualified than McCain to become our next president because Gen. Clark is also a very accomplished achiever in the business world - while McCain had the sheer honesty to tell us that he doesn’t know as much about the economy as he should.

Not only did Gen. Clark not denegrate McCain’s service but he also called him a hero and lauded his contribution. McCain is being an idiot about this and making himself look REALLY bad. A shame because he seems a decent sort. However, he first allowed his campaign manager to pass Gen. Clark’s words off as horrifyingly unpatriotic and shameful. Unfortunately, not many people (besides the media) agreed that it was scandalous. Then, not getting the hint, McCain persists in making this a big deal and suggesting that Obama “cut him loose.”

Hey McCain - PAY ATTENTION. And kudos to all you freethinkers who spotted this one a mile away instead of goose-stepping to the beat of the media who dredged this for every last ounce of advertising value they could squeeze out of it.

Comment by Steve B

It amazes me that Obama can say how he is for change in politices in Washington but yet his surrogates continue to slander people, like Wesley Clark’s comments about John McCain.

If McCain’s military service has not helped prepare him to be Commander in Chief then PLEASE tell me what Obama has done to that has prepared him top be Commander in Chief.

This is just a ploy by the Obama campaign to try and convince the public (the voters) that McCain is not qualified to be Commander in Chief becasue Obama has not experience whatsoever!

His 143 days in the Senate surely does NOT qualify him to be Commander in Chief! What I want to know is WHY Senator Obama did NOT serve his country in uniform?

What I want to know is what makes Obama think he is qualified?

What I want to know is why Obama says he is for change in politics but yet contimues to keep people on his campaign like Wesley Clark when they make stupid comments about John McCain? Obama should cut Clark loose now before the heat gets turned up like it did with Reverend Wright! Better to cut him loose know and save the campaign!

This will NOT go away! If Obama wants to change politics then he MUST begin the process with his own Presidential Campaign he he wants to look credible to the American voters to do otherwise just makes his words ring hallow!

Wesley Clark has just proven that his 38 years of service, including a stint as a commander of NATO, has done nothing for his own poor judgment.

Courage and Integrity is what is needed in a President. Courage and Integrity is what leads to good judgment.

There is no doubt the comment made by Wesley Clark was a conspiracy that was encouraged by the Obama campaign! It’s pathetic that they have the NERVE to attack this American Hero, especially with Independence Day right around the corner. When all of that garbage with Rev. Wright was all over the media, Mr. McCann came to the defense of Mr. Obama. Now Mr. Obama is going to have the audacity to encourage this slander against Mr. McCann. The one good thing to come out of this is atleast Americans can now see who is truly the more mature, sophisticated, responsible candidate. I lost a lot of respect for Barack Obama. How sad! Mr. McCann now has my 100% support. For that waste of human protoplasma…has been…Wesley Clark to make a statement as ridiculous as the one he made is doing nothing more than distract attention from where it really needs to be……Mr. Obama’s lack of experience!

Comment by Gloria. From Nj

I very much think that the media is just blowing Clark’s statement out of proportion and out of context to make news by suggeting that Mccain’s military service was being attacked or quetioned and living Clark’s main point that “Mccain’s service at the military does not mean he will be a better president”.
It becomes even more annoying when the whole issue is now shifted to Obama and his campaign. How does Obama come in here, is clark currently employed by Obama, why should it Obama’s problem?

Now, does it mean that people are no longer free to express what they feel? Clark is just another adult who made his own legitimate and bona fide judgement and if Mccain and his campaign team are offended by it, they should be bold enough to argue it out with him,(But i do not see anything offensive their cos’ every one is entitled to his own opinion)and stop covering up with Obama.

The obvious reason Obama hasn’t called on Clark to apologize is because he put Clark up to it. Love it. Bawling about detractors wanting to “Swift Boat” him out of one side of his mouth and “Swift Boating” McCain out of the other.

This man has no morals. He cares nothing for this country. He has divided the party along racial lines and blamed everyone else for is own misdeeds.

Clark shouldn’t apologize for his statement. All of you who scream experience matters, should now respect what miitary experience just said. The fact is that most of you who are pro McCain will take offense to whatever is said. Understandable, but you really need to ask yourself what is really driven your responses.

Comment by Greg C.

Orchestrated…EVERY move Obama makes is orchestrated and queued. He’s not gonna rebuke Wesley Clark directly because the Obama camp put him (Clark) up to talking to the media. These guys don’t speak on their own accord. It’s machine run and everything fits to a plan. While the words he uses may have unintended side effects like Wesley Clark’s comments backfiring on him, the purpose was to diminish or lessen the image McCain has as “worthy” and deserving of the office, something that Obama knows is a weakness Obama has in his own attempt to secure the office.

It’s no surprise that Jimmy “Peanut” Carter and Wesley “Perfumed Prince” Clark are Obama’s surrogates given their political connections inside Washington and in Democratic circles. Both men disasters in their own time and both suffer from delusions of grandeur.

Comment by curtis in florida

I really think this thing is being taken out of context. If one actually listens and/or reads the transcript, it is evident that this was not an attack on McCain as much as it was a reponse to a statement. Having served 18 years in the Army (still active), I can say that I agree with the statment that Clark made. Military experience alone does not make for a President. If that were so, then every veteran that was ever shot down, crashed landed, and/or taken as a POW would be running for some political office. Do I respect what McCain went through… YES. But if he’s going to run commercials ads with pictures of him as a POW and make mention of his time as a POW on the campaign trail, then I believe he opens himself for there to be comments and opinions… especially if those comments originate from the Republican side of the house.

Obama is a two-faced liar. He lets his lap-dogs go out and do the attacking while he stays back and plays kissy-face with the reporters. This election process is a scam. Obama is all over the map with his proposals. One day he’s for a bill/act and the next day he’s against it. Oh excuse me, your figure slipped on the button, you misread the bill/act, you misspoke, you were taken out of context, etc, etc, etc. I could go on; but, I’m sure you get the drift. Now he’s moving to the middle. Before you know it he’ll be running as a republican. Oh I know, he’ll probably snap back to his liberal punk self as soon as he takes office. HA! HA!

While he was out courting the reporters on his faith-based program, his wife was out courting the gays telling them what ever they wanted to hear. You can’t have it both ways or will the American public buy it.

Please America wake up!!!!!!!!

I know this country is in a mess. However, it will be in a bigger mess if Obama gets in the White House.

Check out the: Global Poverty Act. Obama is sponsoring it. $845 BILLION dollars. I know it’s a good thing to help the poor. However, to turn over this money to the UN is scary. Let’s look at the food for oil program that the UN scammed. i won’t trust the UN wil my garbage.

Obama is a scary thought. America please wake up.

General Ckark is absoulutely right on McCain. He is a military man himself and knows wha he is talking about. Why is McCain above comment because he is a war hero which Clark acknowledges and salutes him for. Why is it ok for McCain to call Jimmy Carter ‘a lousy president ‘, Obama dishonest and he gets very upset when Clark makes a comment on the very theme he is running on . I will becareful of a man known to have anger problem, does not tolerate others view because when he becomes the president he would lead the country the way he desires because no one should challenge him. The truth is that neither Obama nor McCain has been a president before.

Comment by osowski jodi

I will not vote for Obama is one argument, he is a fraud hmmmmmmm, that is a serious allegation. Focus on the issue.

Comment by Gabrielle

Why should he? Obama wants to talk about the issues. Obviously McCain wants to dwell in these non-issues. Get over it. What Gen. Clark said was simply a response to a question. He was asked whether McCain’s service qualified him to be president. He wasn’t just attacking McCain for no reason. Sen. Obama has no reason to focus on this.

Comment by Jim

In regards to being a flip-flopper…..which candidate isn’t!! John McCain coincidently supported the Bush tax cuts once he began running for President but opposed them the firs two times around. I wonder if it had to do with pandering to his much needed conservative base. And what about McCain’s comments about Iraq?? He has contradicted himself more times than I can count and when confronted about it, he acts tells the media they twisted his words. He didn’t really have much to say though when they showed him a clip of him actually saying it.

If no one has realized yet that these politicians are purely motivated by their quest for power and their own ambitions, than there are more naive people than I thought. I think both candidates have their flaws. Obama is certainly lying when he states that in 20 years he never heard Reverend Wright say any of those anti-America remarks while attending church. It boggles my mind that people could actually believe that. In the end, it comes down to the public anger over 8 long years of economic hardship and war. To me, it mimics the election of 1932 when people were so angry at Hoover and the Republicans, they would do anything to elect a Democrat, whoever it would have been. The GOP is too beat up right now to win in November.

Comment by Billie Willis-Elliott

At no time did Clark demean McCain in his remarks. Why you people have to spin everything someone says and take it out of context is beyond me. All of you act like the general public cannot think or understand politics, well we do and if you don’t watch out we may just vote for who we want and not for who you think we should vote for.

As for the poll on Mrs. Obama get a life. I have never known any woman to like another women that intemidates them. I think Mrs. Obama is alright.

Another thing if you have the nerve to think that Obama thought it was going to be easy to be President in this country, think again. You people have hit him left and right with all of you smear tactics and he still has kept the moral high ground. What will you say about him and his famil next? Personally the more bad press ai hear the better I like him.

Why in the world would you have someone like Oliver North judge someone. THE POT CANNOT CALL THE KETTLE BLACK. THINK ABOUT THAT!

Comment by Jake From Georgia

This blog represents what is wrong with the Republican Party. You all are defending John McSame for nothing. General Clark in no way disrespected his service. Furthermore, John McCain finished third from last in his class at Annapolis. Whereas General Clark was the valedictorian of his class at West Point and decorated in battle over 30 times since. The army is on the ground fighting in the provinces of Iraq. The marines a branch of the navy is there. What does a fighter pilot know about ground warfare? I think that a former 4 star generals assessment for qualities needed as commander in chief are more formidable than McCain. Wesley Clark is a true patriot and only answered a question the way it was asked. I love that republicans want to call on issues that do not affect the everyday Americans. Yet, McCain is touting his military service as a reason for office. I find it disturbing that such an issue is not up for discussion. Republicans have raped the world as a police force for 7 years. 9/11 was about Afghanistan not Iraq. Thanks to your stupid president and Donald Rumsfeld. We need to once again be the proprietors of peace, not the seekers of financed destruction. Our troops deserve better than to be put in harms way for no real threat. I like that you all think that liberals are against the military. The way I see it we are the only ones trying to secure their safety. Heck George Bush and McCain want to cut the GI bill. Two people that supposedly served in the military. At least Obama wants to offer them an education when they get home. Oh yeah Bush’s No Child Left Behind was such a great piece of legislation. My students suffer from its short comings daily.

A Real American for Prosperity!

Comment by Greg

How do you fire a supporter? and why would you? General Clark’s comments were not offensive and did not denigrate McCain’s service. In fact he went out of his way to indicate his admiration of McCain’s service. As a 27 year veteran and still serving I would follow Gen Clark and his opinion far further that I would Sen McCain’s. Military service is not a prerequisite for President, and with McCain’s proven lack of support for the military and it’s personnel through failure to support bills that improve our healthcare and benefits result in him never being considered a viable candidate by myself. Take the time to research before you blather your opinions.

Obama always says other things are more important just to get out of responding to what is being said. He wants to make it look like people are stupid and can’t see what his party is doing to make any Republican, whether in politics or just an everyday person, look like they only focus on the little things. Believe me, I focus on large and small and McCain has my vote.

Obama “CHANGES” all the time that is why he promotes “CHANGE, he is a flip flopper and everyone knows it. His “CHANGE” is for the moment.

I think what everyone should face is the fact that he was going to pull the troops out of Iraq the day he was elected, now of course he endorses “CHANGE” because now he is going to do it on a time table.

Obama obviously thinks we’re all idiots. The town of Unity to mend fences with Hillary, the city of Independence for a patriotic speech - where else? Everything is staged and fake. He also seems to belittle any question he doesn’t want to answer and tries to CHANGE the subject. Every question he’s asked no matter what the subject and every judgment he makes regarding that subject is very important at this point. Many people are still trying to decide who to vote for based on these situations. HE DEFINITELY DOESN’T HAVE MY VOTE!!!!

Comment by LJC

He can make all the claims he likes on the campaign trail, but Senator Obama epitomizes “dirty politics”. He is beyond unqualified to be President. He is completely unfit for the job by virtue of his poor judgment, lack of integrity, racism and underperformance in the two elected offices he has held.

I find it troubling that Senator Obama finds it necessary to have a page at his web site devoted to dispelling “rumors” about him. It is equally troubling that he finds it necessary to give speeches attempting to convince voters of his patriotism.

Barack Obama has repeatedly demonstrated that he is not trustworthy. This country needs a leader we can count on, not one we have to keep an eye on.

Comment by 4boys

I guess Obama doesn’t understand character. How hard would it be to take 10 seconds to say…..”General Clark was wrong to minimize the importance of John McCains service to this country and I would strongly suggest that he apologize”

guess that’s too difficult.

As for the swift boat vets…doesn’t compare. They were servicemen who actually served along side of Kerry in Viet Nam and had different recollection of what happened. Not to mention that when Kerry came back to the states he threw them under the bus by recounting supposed atrocities that he heard from others.

Comment by Josh

I wish could be pointed that people altogether are missing the point in seeing the value of John McCain’s war time experience. As opposed to those that did not go directly to battlefields and risk their lives such as Bush, Cheney, etc, and others that were able to rise through the top ranks and avoid direct battle exposure, McCain has more of an ability to have compassion, understanding the human cost of war and the toll that it takes. Mr. Clark’s argument that being able to craft a better strategic/intellectual tactical plan as he is claiming superior skill in doing, shows a demonstrable immaturity in the level of decision that he is hoping to contribute in. I’m sure that there is no shortage of highly trained military experts that have military tactical planning experience, however the value in McCain I see as one who, in making the final decision, has more of a heart to understand what we are all getting into.

Comment by DJ in TX

And when these remarks were made, who did John McCain turn to - the man who started the Swift Boat. So how is McCain different.

Plus, General Clark (who I served under at Ft Hood) is not attacking Senator McCain’s service. He has stated that he is an American Hero who served his country. I am 100% in agreeement with that as a veteran. But that in itself, does not necessarily make him qualified to be President. Yes Senator McCain served and his service is 100% appreciated by me. But if that was all I was using to vote for him, that would not be enough.

That was the point that is being made. And the calls to fire Gen Clark………I noticed no one asked McCain to fire Charlie Black for his outrageous statments.

This is politics, pure and simple. We as voters have to recognize that. I’m only concerned with the issues at hand. Military service is great, but is NOT a requirement for me to vote for someone. I’m one of the 80% who think the country is on the wrong track. Tell me how we’re going to fix that. Firing General Clark (or anybody in either camp) is not telling me how we’re going to tackle our issues. I’m concerned with keeping my job, keeping my house, and providing for my family. That’s what I want to talk about. BTW - (unrestricted) free trade has caused me to be concerned about my job, so McCain has a very long way to go to convince me.

Obama initiated the statement Clark made. Obama is a lier. Clark is a traitor and does not deserve whatever rank was given him. The attitude of his coudn’t have earned the rank. His rank must must have imposed upon him during the Carter and/or Clinton admistrations.
If Clark is trying to imply that Obama is qualified to hold the office of president, he has a serious mental problem. Perhaps this is why he is one of Obama’s advisers. He is compatible with the Obama camp.
You Obama worshipers just keep on supporting the chameleon puppet and you will have the United States in the same condition as Zimbabwe.
Obama worshipers are either ignorant, under hypnosis or no longer want constitutional rights. It takes a multitude of traitors to subject an entire nation to such barbarianism as is planned by Obama’s and his manipulators.

Comment by Andy

How is this a flip-flop on anything and in what way did Gen. Clark even come close to talking “trash” about McCain’s service? If anyone actually watched the entire interview with Gen. Clark, you would have heard him praise McCain’s service numerous times and he even sited him as a personal hero. Clark was specifically talking about executive decision making experience and how McCain’s time in the Military and on the Armed Service Committee did not give him any of that. McCain and his surrogates bring up his service continually as a reason he is “ready to lead from day one” and Clark simply too them to task on those false assertions.

Ps- the argument made by Gen. Clark was made by numerous conservative politicians and commentators against John Kerry during the 2004 race.

Comment by Joe W.

I have a hard time believing that this comment has jack squat to do with anything that most people care about. If a person is to listen to the words of Gen. Clark you should be able to comprehend that he is not attempting to bring John McCain down, he is simply stating that being a prisoner of war does not give you any more credit to be president than does having several surgeries prepare you to be a doctor. I encourage anyone who has doubts about Obama’s past to read some of his books, just as I would recommend anyone who has doubts about McCain’s past to read his. Educate yourself and think, don’t just assume that what you are told the truth. Joe W., Pensacola, FL

of mine?” Yet , you Mr. Obama, took time out from all the vast number of things you had to
work on to distance yourself and the remarks that your anti-American, former pastor preached.
Because it was to your advantage to take time out even though as you say you’ve had a vast number of things you’ve got to work on. You even called a special media session to do so.
You, then, did not care about what people were worrying about at night, you thought only of
yourself. Also, you took time out when Michelle was being critcized for an anti-American remark
she herself made. Given all the vast number of things you’ve got to work on, why would that be
a priority of yours????? You took time out and told people to lay off your wife. Why not now take
time out to tell Wesley Clark to lay off McCain. I know why you don’t and so do many Americans,
because you want Wesley Clark to keep doing trying to demean Senator McCain’s military service
and his years of torture, not torment, like you used in your speech. Senator McCain has a lifetime
of service in the government and in the military. You can only hope to achieve that greatness in
your dreams.

People are beginning to see what you are like, like those you associate with, Reverend Wright,
Ayers, Farrikan and who knows how many more.

You already have broken one of your campaign promises- not to attack your opponent only on the issues, why are you now trying to demean Senator Mccain’s heroism, Wesley is your surrogate, so
it is if you had said it.

People better wake up from this la la land that Obama is trying to create. If you will notice, he is promising everything and anything to people. Just telling them what they want to hear. And who do you think will pay for all this stuff that he SAYS he wants to do. I frightens me to think that we may have someone like Obama in the White House. People, you better wake up before it’s too late.

Response to the Comment by REPLACE DEMS IN CONGRESS, July 1st, 2008
You SAID it! This nothing but talk, talk, talk…..”talking haed” is “selected” NOT “elected” by those delusive minded politicians from DEMS.
For any average mature and intelligent person, by taking a simple scrutiny into Obama’s BACKGROUND and EXPERIENCES, he or she will be able to rationally realize
immediately and instinctively that HE IS ABSOLUTELY and POSITIVELY NOT QUALIFIED to run for president in the year of 2008!
At the present time, the so called CHANGE makes a seemingly big deal for those who really believe in.
CHANGE? change for what? Can we afford to let the man with a less thiner
“skin deep” experience to lead us for chenge? There is only one answer to it; NO!
Folks, let’s calmly look and look one more time, think. think, and think three times,
if you still want to vote for him, the consquences down the road will be extremely hard for us to bear!
He is not your man, he is not the man for people , he is not the man for that highest position in the nation, but he is a good senater for his own state!
One last words, don’t let your mind of hatred as “any one but DEMS” to fool yourself! We just need to focus on ONE THING, don’t be affected by other factors, that is to elect the best qualified and the most experiences person for the JOB, the same basic principle as you want to hire some one for your business.
Wish we’all the best luck in this regard!

Every argument Clark made can be applied more to Obama than to McCain, he has now made it clear that the Obama strategy is to demean and belittle McCain’s military service — and by extension, military service in general.

Obama then disowns the message but not the messenger. It is easy to see that this is a coordinated effort to change the topic from Obama to McCain.

Wes Clark Is No General David Petraeus

Shame on Mr. Clark for his “inartful” comments, to quote Mr. Obama. The word I had in mind was more like disgusting, irreverent, jealous, politically incorrect, traitorous, you get the idea. The larger issue at hand is Mr. Obama’s selection of people like Clark to represent him and advise him. Old theories abound as to how folks surround themselves with other folks like themselves. Is that what Obama is really like? Better to find out now before millions of folks waste votes on a vaporous individual from nowhere who panders to everyone to get votes, has no record upon which to stand, and is sneeringly condescending towards Americans, other than highly educated lawyer types or rich folks (you know, his types).

Think twice America — this guy could be making big decisions affecting your life, your livelihood, and your future.

Good thing McCain got Bud Day of Swift Boat fame to help him out now. Just wondering though, why can’t Clark criticize McCain if he wants? Do we not have freedom of speech in this country? And where were you guys when Mr. Day and his compadres were smearing John Kerry and trashing his service during ‘Nam?

Hmm-Wesley Clark (armchair general) as a military advisor to Obama?

Sounds like a General Westmoreland (Vietnam debacle) giving advice
to Jimmy Carter (that 70’s disaster) but this time with a teleprompter.
Obama seems to quickly snap answers back to the media like
ringtones; notice he never looks into the camera? Looks like he’s
reading text or else he’s paralyzed.

God save us all.

Doublespeak…..

If Obama gets in, he won’t pull out of Bill Clintons’ Afghanistan
or Bush’s Iraq, it will just continue, with losses mounting & “negotiate”
us into another hostage crisis–or WORSE. Troops will leave at the
end of their enlistments in droves; leaving a severe shortage.
I wouldn’t doubt that General Patreus will leave as well. Obama
might have to resort to mandatory Selective Service (bring back the draft); But
I’m sure the Dems will blame the Republicans for having to do it; even
though Obama would be in the driver’s seat. Then; the impeachment
papers will be sure to follow–(perhaps our only hope at that point).

I have the utmost respect and care deeply of our men & women over
there, I used to be one myself. The thought of serving under such an
inexperienced “commander in chief” such as Obama turns my stomach.
And I wouldn’t trust Wesley Clark to tie my shoes, based on
his recent comments on McCain’s miliary career. Wesley would
probably tie both shoes together if it meant some sort of gain for
himself. He’s so self-absorbed I doubt he has much of a conscience
at all. As far as Obama, he’s a man in an empty suit; but hey-Carter
was quick to endorse him; so that speaks volumes…
And the McCain plan to keep a peace keeping force in Iraq & Afghan?
Well, we’ve been doing that all over Western Europe for over
50 years now. It’s called NATO.

Wake up America! He is a joke, and we are all in trouble if he gets elected. Oh but no the media (excluding Fox) thinks he is our savior. Why wont CNN or MSNBC acknowledge the fact that the serge has reached 15 out of 18 bench marks.

These are John McCain’s own words spoken on msnbc.com:

“I didn’t really love America until I was deprived of her company.”

See the video for yourself at:

Now, we see that Michelle Obama is just as patriotic as John McCain. Anyone who denies this after seeing it with their own eyes is denying reality.

Hell’
If Clark is Obama’s VP choice, that would show us all about Obama’s “wisdom” and lack of experience. Clark always talks about someone elses failed policies. Ask Bill Clinton, “You are Fired!

Comment by Terrance

Obama can’t control what every supporter of his says. Hell, Clark’s comments were taken out of context anyways. He was simply asked question and gave a simple answer. I don’t know why the media blows these things so far out of proportion. If anything they should be questioning why Clark was endorsing Kerry on his services and now believes McC
