McCain rebukes Pfleger comments

MILWAUKEE, WI - Sen. McCain denounced comments Chicago pastor and Obama friend, Rev. Michael Pfleger, made last week about Sen. Clinton as “unwarranted, uncalled for and disgraceful.”

“I have known Senator Clinton for long time. I have always treated her with respect,” McCain said during a press conference Friday. “I respect her and I think that kind of language and that kind of treatment of Senator Clinton is unwarranted, uncalled for and disgraceful.”

Pfleger delivered a sermon at Obama’s Trinity United Church Sunday, where he mocked Clinton for tearing up in New Hampshire in January and accused her of running with a sense of entitlement.

“I really believe that she just always thought, ‘this is mine, I’m Bill’s wife. I’m white. And this is mine,” Pfleger said, speaking on the same pulpit where Rev. Jeremiah Wright has made similarly incendiary comments. “Then out of nowhere came, ‘hey I’m Barack Obama.’ And she said. ‘Oh damn, where did you come from? I’m white. I’m entitled. There’s a black man stealing my show.’” (see sermon below)

I give McCain a lot of credit for this. He didn’t have to do, he is NOT involved or has any ties to this disaster os Obama’s. Further more McCain’s reject of this pastor is far more speciufic and respectful towards Clinton then Obama’s generic, general losuy speech of his.

Hillary or McCain

Does it never end? What else comes out of Obamas’ closet?

Obama is still a MEMBER of Trinity Church. The last time I looked, church members agree with the teachings and attended their church because they believe in what their church stands for. What does Obama stand for? And what does Obama believe?

I Applaud you Senator McCann, you are a true gentleman for sticking up for Hillary Clinton against a abhorrent, despicable person who, for being a so called priest has no respect for a lady.
He accused her of something that wasn’t true, she has always been for ALL the people.

HILLARY 08

I beleive McCain means what he says
Nobody can listen to the crap from Bos friend and not think its as stupid and hateful as Jerry Wrights comments were
But Obama thought it was funny to call Hillary Annie Oakly and mock her so why wouldnt his friends think its ok too?
Now Obama has stated he is staying with the church yet this idiot preist and Ottis whats his name who is now running the church are exactly the same as Wright
The congregation cheered and agreed with the nutty preist so are these the wonderful folks that Obama always talks about
I have no doubt that Obama and his sideshow Michelle are a very big part of this church and the way it thoinks
And some think this guy would be an honorable addition to our government??

If the superdelegates give the Democratic nomination to Obama, it will be in repudiation of their true function and responsibility and using no independent judgment showing wisdom, integrity, and courage. The superdelegates will be putting America on the path to racial tension and turmoil for the next several years. Obama’s church is obviously the motherlode for despicable race-mongering pastors with a tether to Obama.

Obama is associated with a serious racial issue. No American should be subject to the racial attack that was unleashed on Sen. Clinton. The only choice for rational Democrats is to repudiate the superdelegates by working for the defeat of Obama and voting for McCCain.

We think what Pfleger said is disgraceful……What’s wrong with that so called Church that
Obama/Michelle attends???….If Ob/Michelle feels that way….It’s pitiful…..What will
happen if He should win the election??

Obama ‘Deeply Disappointed,’ Had No Idea, Shocked!
This seems to be a constant excuse from Obama.
If O-blah-blah doesn’t know what has been going on around him for the past twenty years, how will he know what is going on around him when he is President?
And they say Bush is clueless!

The Pope has emphatically stated on several occasions that no Catholic clergy are to involve themselves in partisan politics. Fr. Pflegler has specifically violated this rule of his church. Thus, his bishop should immediately commence disciplinary proceedings against this wayward priest.

The unceassing mocking of this nation and the Clinton from Obama’s pastors and associates are just a reflection of Obama’s taste and judgement. This nation is just more divided under the leadership of Obama and friends!

Comment by George Yeh

Good! At least we have some justice and respect in this nation. After seeing irresponsible and unprofessional democratic leaders treated Hillary the way the democratic election was managed, it was a relieve. If Obama is the democratic nominee, it is cleared, we all will vote for McCain, yes he deserves it.

McCain-Hillary 08′ Yes we can!!!

Comment by Ginger

This is exactly why, if Hillary isn’t the nom I will vote for John McCain. He is respectful of Hillary in just those few words in a way that the DNC, Obama and MSM have not been. The sniggers, eye rolls, and jokes…adding up over the months have made me so raw that John’s words are like a kind of salve. Thank you John, for showing class in a world of crass.

What??? What about Denouncing the WAR!! Denouncing the state of the Economy — Mortgage crisis, Jobs, Taxes, Gasoline prices!!! McCain can’t remember what he say’s from day to day. Trust me, tomorrow he will have a different answer. Its easy for him to talk about petty gossip and not talk about how he can get our country back on track. Well I guess he took the following advice:It is better to be silent about the state of our economy and thought of as a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

You are a true gentleman for standing up for Hillary, I applaud you.

Is it WEIRD or does this FATHER PFLEGER “LOOK” WHITE, SEEMS TO HAVE “WHITE” HAIR, WOW, HOW COUD HE HATE WHITE PEOPLE SO MUCH?
There certainly seems to be some “WHITE” somewhere in his heritage, just as Obama’s. ( BUT THAT IS A tiny little SECRET that is not discussed shhhh)
SO—- what is this guy, he certainly IS NOT a priest. HE IS A RACIST.
NOT AN OPINION, A FACT.

Pfleger’s comments are remarkably similar to Wright’s “Hillary fits the profile” comments. What is it about Chicago pastors and their disconnect with reality? How many female presidents do these guys think the U.S. has had, exactly?
Anyway, it would have been nice if McCain had “rebuked” the “how do we beat the b—–” woman, but I guess you’ve got to start somewhere.

Just when we thought it was going to be a FAIR campaign, here comes the smear. American politics are way to predicatable. And the media eats it up. You guys are sad. 800 different stories on this dumb-ass pastor.

Either this pastor and Wright are just plain idiots (very likely), and/or they were paid to tarnish Obama’s name. Either way, it’s worked, and I bet half the country thinks he’s a racist, which I don’t believe one bit. Yes, there are racists black people, white people, and all other colors, but please, Barack Obama?

But it’s working. Hats off to the mastermind who dreamed this up and executed. Good luck America.

I’m suddenly very impressed with Senator McCain. Even though he is on the opposite side of the fence from Clinton, McCain still respects her and has stood up for her. There is a mutual respect that senators have for one another even though they are in rival parties. McCain has demonstrated real integrity, courage, and leadership that you can’t fake.

I’m considering voting for McCain as he is sounding presidential.

Obama has not yet made any similar comments about how disgraceful those statements were toward Clinton. I’m still waiting for him to demonstrate some real leadership. Apparently, Obama doesn’t mind throwing anyone (such as Rev. Wright, old white grandma, now Rev. Pfleger, Larry Sinclair, etc) under the bus as long as he gets what he wants.

Perhaps the Pfleger controversy was stagged to be a distraction so we won’t notice how bad Obama gets beaten in Puerto Rico by Clinton.

Comment by MMcElyea

Senator McCain couldn’t have said it any better. Why can’t Senator Obama do the same? There is no place where that kind of ugly hate speech is acceptable. The church, the participants, and Father Pfleger should all be ashamed. I wonder if he would put on that kind of performance for the Holy Father?

Comment by Dorothy

John McCain has class, Hillary should be treated with respect.

Comment by YOU CANT FOOL ME

McCain has shown a lot of class and a world of knowledge to immediately rebuke these comments about Hillary and I hold alot of respect for him in doing so. A voice of reason for a change. Voting for McCain if Hillary doesn’t get the nom will be easier than I thought.

Another example of the radical left wing extremist obama associations.

Thank you FATHER PFLEGER….you told the truth, & sometimes the truth hurts. Most people are trying to call his statements racist, which they are not.He is simply mocking a true fact that Hillary has continued to run this election as if she is entiltled because she is white.First, before Super Tuesday she was quoted stating “I’ll have this all wrapped up by Feb 5th”.Then there was the Jesse Jackson statement by her husband. Then she tried the hardworking white people stunt. That’s not even mentioning how she has tried to continually change the goal posts throughout this election.First the winner has to have the most delegates, then it was the electoral map. When nobody bought those arguments, now it’s popular vote.Last time I checked the DNC made up those rules by delegates, not Hillary. So yes FATHER PFLEGER you had the gravitas to call her on it………IT IS WHAT IT IS!!!
