I will be the first to admit that I do not know much about the war, other than what the media and the goverment has told us, which you have to know is only a very, very small amount. I do not know if any of the candidates going to Iraq at this point is a good or bad thing. I also do not know who would be the best candidate. The media has twisted this election in so many directions it is amazing those of us who are following it haven’t fallen over and thrown our guts up. The only thing I think I am pretty sure on is that Obama has way too many Radical associates, and way too many Utopian theories for me to feel even remotely safe with him. Yes Hillary has been involved with some corrupt situations, so I am sure has McCain, and Obama…look at his claim to against lobbyist, yet there before the grace of God go I. Hillary and McCain may have had some “financially” shady dealings, BUT at least we know above all AMERICA’S SAFETY WILL COME FIRST! This book has served it`s ultimate purpose. To derail all attempts at a Republican return to the White House. The timing tells the story. No surprises here. If you have been paying attention at all during the last eight years you knew there was something rotten in the White House. Lies and deception and political motivations have been the practice since day one of the Bush presidency. Scott McClellan should be thanked for his candor.

We don’t need a book to tell us that Bush misled us on the war in Iraq. Bush was mad because his father didn’t go after Saddam in the Persian Gulf War. Saddam did not have weapons or was he going to start war with America. Bush wanted control of Iraq and the oil in that country and Saddam was in the way. Over four thousand young men killed for no reason, the country in ruins, Saddam and his two sons murdered and what did we gain by that? Bush claims he was protecting this country. From the Iraqi’s? Bush did not really go after Bin Laden he only wanted Saddam. He lied to the American public to cover this tracks on what he really wanted in Iraq.

Hillary is so self absorbed that she is not interested in the news if it isn’t about her and “bumbling Bill” She is too busy trying to bully and intimidate Democrats into “giving” her the nomination. We don’t want you Hillary.

Hillary has a lot of damn gall talking about how President Bush misled us after she did everything in her power to keep her slimeball adulterer husband from being vilified by feminist groups for playing around with other women for virtually his entire marriage. The fact that Chelsea is alive only proves that the Clintons had sex once during their marriage.

If Hillary can’t be truthful about their amoral lives in the White House, the Rose Law Firm records, Whitewater irregularities, Travelgate, Filegate, and the closed-door sessions over Nationalized Health care, at which no doctors were represented, then this is the last person who should ever become President. To all of you Hillary supporters, what should we make of the books written about the Clinton years and how they bilked the country? I mean the man was impeached for God’s sake. Based on their “history” as their enemies have written to make money, they should both be deported.

Now, having said that, I have about as much faith in the book SM wrote as I do about any other “close friend and confidant” who has written about the Clinton’s.

This WAR has cost us so much; it is unbelievable that damage that Bush administration has done to this nation. The saddest thing about this WAR most of the American cannot comprehend what has happen during the last seven years of this administration. Further, McCain wants to go down the same road! Go figure!

McLellan is wrong to have written this book and releasing it at this time. He and his kind make it difficult for any sitting president to trust those closest to him/her. I don’t know McLellan’s reason for doing this, but he must have some personal agenda or he wouldn’t have burned the bridges he has.

As unpopular as Bush may be, no sitting president should be publicly humiliated in such a way by those closest to them. If McLellan had waited 5 or 10 years to do this as a historical reference or “lessons learned”, I’d have more respect for him. No administration should have to go through this unless they’re in the process of being impeached and are under investigation where the truth needs to come out. In all fairness, I haven’t seen an interview w/ McLelland yet so there may be something I’m overlooking.

I’m an Independent probably voting Democratic this year, but I still think, until I hear McLellan’s full explanation, that what he did is very distasteful.

I think Hillary’s response was way late and muffled because she, as a First Lady, knows the damage that comes when an insider writes a tell-all book about a President. She herself hastily fired her traveling staff and knows all too well the position that Bush is in. She purposely chose not to piggy-back on the specifics and support Scott’s book because her hands are just as dirty as Bush’s. There are plenty of books out there on her and Bill, and she would not like for them to be re-visited. Bottom line- she had to somehwhat defend Bush or risk opening a couple of cans of worm on the Clinton years in the White House.
