McCain tried as hard as he could to get the endorsements, and he knows it.

Now he is the Nominee, he doesnt need them anymore,
so its no big deal to throw Hagee under the bus.
In the past he called Hagee a "Good Friend", now he is running from him.
Not to mention McCain is acting like he never knew that Hagee was a nutbag....
Well, thats very hard to believe, either McCain is out of touch with politics, or he knew Hagee was a nutbag and is now lying about it.

To me, McCain should be toast just over this fact alone.

I agree with Wade Smith and Vi...I had more to add but I am not typing it a third time.

But those who have not read the Bible...you have no business commenting here...because you ignorance shows to those who have. It would be like me tring to comment on how an airplane flies...you would know quickly I was a fool!

Pastor Hagee and Pastor Parsley teach from the word of God and they can always reference what they say. It's just that there are those who don't want to hear it. I believe for John McCain to turn on these men has cost him 1000's of votes. Pastor Hagee's church has about 20,000 members alone, but has 10's of 1000's of followers nationally and internationally for that matter. Some judge these men, but don't know anything about the word of God. This is why these men were sent to teach us. I wonder if he talked to these men to allow them to point these things out in the word before he dumped them. I hope that no one judges these pastors before they can disprove them by the Bible. Many of the Jewish community love Pastor Hagee for the work he is doing through his church and Christians United For Israel (CUFI). Over $30,000 000 I understand has been given by his church alone. Sen. McCain, these are HIGHLY respected men in the body of Christ--not a wise move.

I think Barak Husssein Obama might have a shot at this thing now. It's apparent that the left-wing media, which is nothing more than an extension of the extreme left, liberal component of the Democratic Party, has placed itself in motion to begin it's attacks on McCain now that they have pretty much destroyed Hillary Clinton (although she didn't do much to help herself).

Check out Blitzer, Olbermann, Matthews, and the other news clowns over the next few months if you want to observe our pitiful excuse for an independent media in motion. They will try to neutralize anything negative that surfaces relative to Barak Husssein Obama, while at the same time highlighting everything they can find negative about McCain.

Obama President, Clinton VP. An uppity coloured boy and a ball-breakin' woman together at the top. The worst result in living memory for the Republicans in the Presidential election plus a rout in the House and Senate. No doubt about it, right wingers, you are going to suffer as you have never suffered before.

Hopefully, you'll do a little growing up in the process and finally purge your party of the religious nutcases that were so handy in bulking up the vote over the past few years but have ultimately destroyed the GOP. Wealthy people, genuine conservatives and the nutjob god-botherers never made for a stable coalition in the long term.

Think how much clearer things would be if religion and politics were separated, as they are in the rest of the civilised world. You vote for the party that best represents your wants and needs, and select candidates for their personal qualities. Let all ethical/religious matters be decided on a non-party conscience vote and hold the individual candidates responsible for their decisions.

Mr. McCain needs to apologize to pastor Hagee for his rude and ignorant ramblings before I ever vote for him. I can understand why he threw pastor Hagee under the bus but he does need to apologize. The things pastor Hagee says are in the Bible, you have to read the Bible as a whole to understand it. This is political nonsense, nonsence, nonsense, McSane you are nonsense and uneducated in different religons, trying to please everyone in America and in turn stab kind loving people in the back. I guess it was nonsense about a year ago also in July when CUFI had their big conference in Washington. Nonsence can tell the American people about this also, he won't be apart of this again because he can't associate with nonsense pastors like Hagee. What a back stabber he is.

Yesterday was clearly a disaster for McCain, and few seem to be really talking about it.

I'm not sure what was more damaging, his association/disassociation with Hagee and Parsley, or his choice to participate in an interview on Ellen Degeneres's show.

Both sealed the deal for McCain. The religious right will be abandoning him in droves...Bob Barr is looking better every day...
