Obama Returns to Iowa with a Majority of Pledged Delegates
On a warm spring evening in Des Moines, Barack Obama took the stage to announce he’d achieved a milestone in the protracted race for the Democratic nomination – a journey that became viable in Iowa thanks to an upset victory in the state on January 3rd. “The skeptics predicted we wouldn’t get very far. The cynics dismissed us as a lot of hype and a little too much hope. And by the fall, the pundits in Washington had all but counted us out. But the people of Iowa had a different idea,” Obama said to about 7,000 in an outdoor rally.
While Hillary Clinton is far from publicly admitting her possible defeat, Obama declared, “Tonight in the fullness of spring, with the help of those who stood up from Portland to Louisville, we have returned to Iowa with a majority of delegates elected by the American people, and you have put us within reach of the Democratic nomination for President of the United States. ”
“This is a big deal,” senior advisor David Axelrod told reporters en route to the rally. “I don’t think anybody has ever won the majority of pledged delegates and have not been the nominee of the party, so it’s obviously very important, but we are going to fight for every delegate and finish out the process,” he continued.
But sounding like the presumptive nominee, Obama has shifted from taking on Hillary Clinton to praising her. Last night Obama called her a formidable candidate and noted her 35 years of pulbic service. “We have had our disagreements during this campaign, but we all admire her courage, her commitment and her perseverance. No matter how this primary ends, Senator Clinton has shattered myths and broken barriers and changed the America in which my daughters and yours will come of age,” he said as the polite crowd applaued.

Rather, Obama is ready to move to the next phase of the campaign in taking on John McCain. “While our primary has been long and hard-fought, the hardest and most important part of our journey still lies ahead,” he said. “This year’s Republican primary was a contest to see which candidate could out-Bush the other, and that is the contest John McCain won.”
The candidate will be campaigning in the two states and one territory with remaining contests, but will be making more stops in general election battleground states. “We’re gonna keep working both at closing out this process officially and all the work that lies ahead in terms of the general election,” Axelrod said.
Today Obama is campaigning in Florida.

The rules are that the candidate who reaches the required NUMBER of delegates will win. As it stands now, without FL and MI, that number is 2026. With FL and MI it will be over 2200. I hope and pray Senator Clinton stays in until one of them reach that number, whatever it is. If it has to go to the convention, so be it. God Bless America and God Bless Senator Clinton.

corruption? Funny how people only look at the flaws of the other candidates and not the ones they support. Can anyone name a time when Hillary has told the truth during this primary? Or why people seem to forget that a big reason why she is in debt was because she had to return donations she received from corrupt business men. And I hate to say it but the polls have shown that this primary race is based more on gender and race than the issues we currently face so the popular vote means nothing right now. Hillary needs a miracle to win more power to her if she pulls it off.

What makes her qualified to get my vote? Who is she fighting for? As a Michigan voter, she didn’t want my vote to count either until she was losing by more than 100 points. As for qualified. Please explain to me how she lost more jobs than she crated for the state of New York, explain how New York has yet to recover from the economic strain she has helped put them in. Explain how her lack of experience in nation security makes her more qualified? Why would I give money to someone who doesn’t have my best interest in her plans? It’s no surprise that a liberal bastion like OR has come out in droves for this socialist crook from Chgo. They are a large part of the main constituents that vote for barack: those who hold a grievance against America as we know it: blacks, Native Americans, guilty white liberals (who still think Bush “stole” the 2000 election ironically because he won more delegates but less popular vote than the world’s greatest climate change scientist, gore — you see the hypocrisy, you liberals?) and foreign terrorist organizations. They were showing the numbers and if all of the States that Hillary won said they would not vote for Obama, he could still win the White House. You would need to convince all of the States that Obama won not to vote for him and that would not happen.
The States that Hillary won are red States and Bill Clinton only had 35% of the White votes.

So, a presidential candidate is involved in a civil case for campaign fraud during that candidates senatorial campaign….and its not in the news? I think the Peter Paul v. Clinton case is like the O.J. case. Did O.J. come clean right away and proclaim his innocence, did he meet it head on…..no….he drove off in that Bronco. She could have made it a major campaign issue for herself…held a press conference demanding a full, immediate investigation to prove her innocence and get it all behind her. Keep your heat up and pay high gas bills. Drive around in your SUV and pay the high cost of fuel. Let your kids watch TV and play video games all day and night. Hillary said she would start removing troops in 60 days. What is she talking about. Obama said in a year and a half. Makes more sense. McCain, maybe 100 years. It is our fundamental right to vote and have our votes count. I will never vote McCain and there are thousands and thousands out there like me. Michigan and Florida will show Obama and the dnc just what happens when you try to disenfranchise them. They are staying home or voting for McCain. Obama is toast.

Obama is now planning on taking over the DNC according to a news story on fox. Obama is an idiot. He is ignoring Michigan and Florida and has forced us to back the conservative democrat McCain. At least that is what they are calling him. I will never vote for Obama and that won’t change as we get closer to the general election. Look how Clinton wiped him out in Kentucky. There are more blue collar workers than there are far left elitists. Obama will never win the presidency.

The media trys to play little blips from “years before” 9/11 that McCain has said. 9/11 Changed the way war, diplomacy, and foreign policies are dealt with. Obama campaign can try all they want to “re-introduce” Obama to us and “dress him up” any way they want and can stick flag pins all over those $5,000 suits…it Won’t work. Edwards, Richardson and your friend Hillary. Hillary agreed to both States because she thought she was winning and now that she is loosing, she is saying give me those votes and she wants all of delegates. She is changing the rules. Do you agree that the Caucus should not be counted?

McCain is right in the middle and is an honest man. He will keep us safe and Obama will but us in position to have to defend ourselves on our won soil. Obama is to far to the left to ever be voted in the general election. This is what the democrats do every four years. The base of the democratic party is moderate so every four years the dems lose.
