I find it annoying that "sign" and others are referring to our next leader as BO. You may think it cute, but it actually puts you in a position of losing credibility with those you would like to read your mindless rants.

On second thought, scratch my previous...keep using it!!

Even if John McCain could get Ronald Reagan to rise from the dead and be his Veep, there's no chance in hell he's going to win this election.

His chances were slim before, but after the fallout with the religious right yesterday, his goose is cooked. Surely his campaign staff realizes this, I just have to wonder how they maintain the strength to keep on.

Is Ron Paul still an option?

Interesting that some are criticizing McCain for interviewing Bobby Jindal for VP, since Jindal is only 36 and Obama has been criticized for inexperience at age 46. To quote Lloyd Bentsen, though, Obama is no Jindal. Consider Jindal's resume: son of Indian immigrants; educated at Brown; Rhodes Scholar; head of Louisiana's Dept of Health at age 24; head of Louisiana's University system at 28; Asst. Secretary of Health and Human Services at 30; lost race for Governor at 31; elected to Congress at 32 and again at 34; elected governor of Lousiana at 35. Truly an extraordinary talent and leagues beyond the smooth-speaking Illinois senator. A great pick if McCain decides to go in that direction.

McFlipflop did not just ‘accept’ Hagee and Parsley’s endorsements - he actively courted them. Big difference. And if he and his team were so stupid and slack that they did not check out these nutjobs’ statements and positions before seeking their support and standing on stages with them, how could you ever let him near the White House???

Doesn’t really matter, of course, the silly old dope is in for the biggest humiliation ever in November. This year has a big D stamped all over it

The DNC needs to change their convoluted rules so that it is all based on popular vote.

BTW, Obama is doing nothing more than running on the same platform Ted Kennedy tried to run on in 1980 -"Change" -

Ted Kennedy went to the convention with fewer delegates than Carter and wanted the "rules" changed so that pledged (delegates won in states) were not obligated to vote for the candidate the delegates were pledged to. He wanted an "open rule vote" and it was debated on TV. Kennedy picked up some more superdelegate votes, however, not enough to put him over the top, thus Carter got the nomination.

Does anyone see some deja vu here? Kennedy instructing Obama on how to make sure delegates aren't counted? So much for loyalty to the voter. It was a con game with Obama from the get go.

Barbara:
I can see where you are coming from and respect a lot of things Andylit says, but I still think you should have primary elections on the same day. I think there should be a certain time a person has to declare themselves a candidate. We'll say May 1rst of last year. The Primary election on February 1rst of this year. They would have 9 months to campaign for the primary and 9 months for the general election. If you can not find everything out about a candidate in 9 months, than that is a problem. The media new about Jeremiah Wright ages ago. It was nothing new. But it was not until Fox News primarily went nuts on it and then everybody else did. Frankly, this would have came out sooner if the elections were as I suggest. It is not fair that good working Americans voices are not heard because a certain candidate may have an upper advantage in certain earlier states. It allows candidates momentum, which in turn turns into press coverage. Also media outlets can use it to sway Americans away from a certain candidate they do not like. Believe me if everyone in America had a voice in the primaries, the gloves would come off a lot sooner, you would better know the candidates and where they stand on the issues.
