I am a college educated professional woman who is a fourth generation democrat who lives in West Virginia. Never in my life have I been so disappointed with politics as I was when I read this mornings newspaper with a picture of Senator Robert Byrd on it stating that he put his delegate support in for Obama. I feel that we as West Virginian’s should put some serious consideration in who we send to Washington, DC to represent us. You can bet, that next time it comes time to vote for my state senator or congressman, I will MOST CERTAINLY place my vote with the person who has the TRUE interest of the West Virginia voter in mind. Obviously, Senator Byrd’s interest lies in his political ties to the party “big wigs”. He has completely disregarded us back here in West Virginia.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I know Karla, like other Clintonites, you just can't see why people don't support Hillary. Don't be upset because Byrd no longer shares the views of the white racist voters in Virginia and Kentucky (22 percent of Kentucky voters admitted that race played a crucial role in their decision.) Go ahead, we're just waiting for you to say it.............sexism! Well guess what? If Hillary can invoke her "white priviledge" from her core supporters (white women), don't expect anyone to sympathize when discrimination bites them in the butt! What goes around, comes around! Unfair treatment sucks, doesn't it?

ANY LEADER BACKING OBAMA should be removed from office at reelection time!!!

It is ridiculous that these supers and leaders are announcing all this…AND I think the super delegate idea the dems came up with a couple years ago is totally UNCONSTITUTIONAL!!!

______________________________________________________________________

...I agree...if the Democrats can initiate and support such a totally UNCONSTITUTIONAL and UNDEMOCRATIC scheme such as over-riding the votes of the American People with planted elitist Superdelegates then please take one moment to think what they will do with everything else they can influence. The Democrats are downright Anti-American in my book. They are even the ones who have a history of dividing our Country when it comes to Black/White race issues....do your homework people....John McCain will conclude this Iraq war in an honerable fashion. Other countries are voting for West leaning representatives because they do not agree with the stances of the left. This is not a swimsuit competition.....this is the figurehead of strength in a world of chaos, military and terrorist regimes. We cannot curl up into a ball and pretend all is well with appeasing slogans and opportunistic inciteful rethoric.

Maybe there is something Senator Byrd know about Senator Clinton. What is true about Senator Byrd is that he earned his place in congressional history. Nobody gave him anything. Senator Clinton in the other hand is spoon fed. FYI.....The Rodham's have been in around Washington politics for years. She comes from that. I believe that Senator Byrd's endorsement is formidable and the people should think more about the years of service he has provided to the state and trust his judgement. He obviously has the intestinal fortitude to make what he feels is the right decision.

And what has Senator Clinton truly done for the people of West Virginia? A senator no less who left the White House and was GIVEN her office. As a New York Senator, I question what she even knew about New York except for a playbook that was given to her. Get real. She has used New York to achieve her platform and she is using West Virginia and now recently Kentucky. Maybe the people in West Virginia and Kentucky are not open minded enough to embrace the ideas that Senator Obama brings and would rather rely on the Old Guard rather than something that is fresh and UNWASHINGTONIAN.

when Hillary started the race with a 150 superdelegates in her pocket, and Obama won Iowa and tied in NewHampshire, It was Hillary herself that said this race is about delegates, nothing else. now that she’s behind in delegates, and through some strange math, claims the popular vote lead and thats all that matters now. Amazing what some people will believe.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
It is so nice to hear a sound, rational voice on one of these sites. For the most part, all you get is angry, screaming, whinig Clintonites and Obama opposers. You are so right about what you said in one of your comments. They have no real proof of anything against Obama and are making weak, desperate frivolous accusations. I have learned to ignore them, but the low down and dirty tactics that Hillary has employed throughout this campaign cannot be ignored and are simply unforgivable! She wanted the race to be about delegates because she "assumed" that she would be popular (she thought she could get by from her husbands' former popular vote), and she got her clock cleaned! Now she wants to change the rules and just cause chaos in general. Her supporeters are not much better. They continue to encourage her to run as an independent and suck votes away from her own party. Hillary and her supporters just look worse and worse as this charade comes to its close. "Go-Bama" you don't have to say a sigle word. Hillary and her sorry supporters have said enough!

WOW, so you’re IMPRESSED with a Klan member supporting Obama???

I'm not impressed, but apparently he's got enough sense to make a good decision. It's more than I can say for a lot of Obama opposers and Clintonites. He may have a checkered past, but he knows a good thing when he sees it!
