The World According to McCain!

Columbus, Ohio:

Reported by Jake Gibson, Producer with the McCain Campaign….

McCain laid it all out today in a broad reaching speech on how he saw the world after four years of his administration.

It was a little prospective retrospection, fast-forwarding to 2013 in order to look back on his first four years in the White House.  He painted a pretty picture!

Heh, to state the obvious the world according to McCain will be exactly the same as the world according to Bush. I believe the result of the special election is foreshadowing things to come.

last month, McCain said that “to promise a withdrawal of our forces from Iraq, regardless of the calamitous consequences to the Iraqi people, our most vital interests, and the future of the Middle East, is the height of irresponsibility. It is a failure of leadership.”
Did he just fail?

Comment by JOE SONDERS

Are you kidding me?!?! Ok, at this point, all 3 candidates are guilty of pandering to some degree. But, give me a break, Johnny boy!!

Next, he’ll be promising 40acres and a mule to the black community, an offer to Al Gore to head his newly founded “Presidential Global Warming Coalition”, free concert tickets to college students, and half-priced latees to grasp the “elitist” vote.

How many of us were counting the days until the Republicans vocalized a promise to catch Bin Laden? Reminds me of the “terror alert” that would miraculously increase when Bush was down in the polls.

Comment by love di

That’s alot to promise for an over the hill man who may face a Democratic congress. How’s he going to explain how he didn’t live up to his lofty campaign promises in 2013? Assuming of course, that he lives that long. He’d better pick a d*** good VP. I truly believe that McCain is living in a world all of his own; one that’s not based on reality. Just my opinion.

Washington, D.C. (AHN) - In a profanity-laced tirade, U.S. Sen. John McCain exploded at a fellow senator over a proposed immigration overhaul.

In a heated exchange, McCain screamed, “F- - - you!” at Texas Sen. John Cornyn, who had been raising concerns about the legislation, the New York Post reports.
“This is chickens- - - stuff,” McCain told Cornyn, according to several people in the room off the Senate floor Thursday. “You’ve always been against this bill, and you’re just trying to derail it.”

Apparently, the conversation escalated after Cornyn accused McCain of being too occupied with running for president to be a part of negotiations that a small group of senators has been engaged in for months to hammer out a bipartisan compromise.
“Wait a second here,” Cornyn said to McCain, according to the Washington Post. “I’ve been sitting in here for all of these negotiations and you just parachute in here on the last day. You’re out of line.”

You are a true hero, a patriot, and the most trusted among the candidates. You have a proven excellent records of your performances.

Obama is unknown! All I see in him are complaints about being offended. Even if he is not the target as if he was so guilty that he complains right away of being offended. Bravo to Presidnet Bush. he had been stating that he won’t negotiate with terrorists without preconditions since 2001. Why is Obama offended of this? Is he so guilty now? Obama said before that he will talk to Iran, Syria, Hamas without any conditions. I think they will unite and CHANGE the world to islam. Hamas has already endorsed him.

Dwight, Couples split up all of the time, usually for a multitude of reasons, not just the ones that seem obvious. If that is the only dirt you can come up with it`s pretty weak. If Michelle Obama was ill, and Barak left her, I wouldn`t hold it against him at all. I would be that much closer to voting for him. Everyone knows what a bit@@ she is, and it would be assumed that he left her because of her attitude, instead of her illness.

Hi Holly: I saw your conversation with Dean. Don’t get me wrong, I think he’s a nice guy, but he doesn’t seem to read my coments very well.

Number one. He said in one of his post that I called him a liberal. I don’t remember ever calling him that. I have however called Mitt Romney a liberal, but I never said that he was liberal to support him.

Number 2. He keeps acting like my only reason for not voting for Mitt Romney was becuase he was a Mormon. However I have told him many time that I would still vote for a Mormon and that had nothing to do with my decision. I do however disagree with them ( the Mormons) but thats not the reason I choise Huck over Mitt. I have debated with Dean on issues over and over, but he still acts like I did vote for Mitt becuase of his religion. I can assure you that thats not the case.

Is BO really a truth teller? A stand up guy? Oozing honesty and integrity from every pore?

*  ”These days, [Obama] says, he attends the 11 a.m. Sunday service at Trinity .  .  . every week. .  .  . His pastor, Wright, has become a close confidant.” (Chicago Sun-Times, April 5, 2004)

*  ” ’Senator Obama is proud of his pastor and his church.’ ” (Obama campaign statement reported in the New York Times, April 30, 2007)

*  ”[Wright] is like an old uncle who sometimes will say things I don’t agree with.” (February 25, 2008 )

*  ”I don’t think that my church is actually particularly controversial.” (March 2, 2008 )

*  ”I can no more disown [Wright] than I can disown the black community.” (March 18, 2008 )

*  ”I am outraged by the comments that were made and saddened over the spectacle that we saw yesterday. .  .  . The person I saw yesterday was not the person that I met 20 years ago.” (April 29, 2008 )

And if you would like to read a very good analysis of Wright’s philosophy, Stanley Kurtz has reviewed a year’s worth of the Trumpet, the TUCC magazine.

Go ahead and read this, then come back and tell me, with a straight face, BO didn’t know exactly what Wright was all about from day one.

Holly,

It was Romney that was going to send everyone back by clamping down on businesses that hire illegals. Same thing that is working in Arizona (no thanks to McCain).

Huckabee was originally for giving scholarships to children of illegals.

While I agree that the people need to be treated humanely and in a Christian manner- there is a difference in having individuals and churches helping and asking the government to do it. Huckabee was a very late comer in signing the immigration pledge.

That was one of the biggest reasons I left his camp.

Since you and I both agree that we need to vote McCain (no matter who his VP is) over Obama, there is no sense in arguing about it- or debating further.

But, I would like for you to go back and read the posts I had to Holly about what the Ron Paul supporters are doing.

They are really going to make the National Convention in St. Paul a disaster if they aren’t exposed and stopped.

I need your help in spreading the word and getting other conservatives involved.

McCain is far from my first choice, but if votes get split again- we will have Obama and a strongly Democrat controlled Congress and we will not recover from that. I will hold my nose and vote McCain because so much is at stake and he knows it.

Comment by JOE SONDERS

But given his own position on Hamas, McCain is the last politician who should be attacking Obama. Two years ago, just after Hamas won the Palestinian parliamentary elections, McCain was interviewed for the British network Sky News’s “World News Tonight” program. Here is the crucial part of our exchange:

Q: “Do you think that American diplomats should be operating the way they have in the past, working with the Palestinian government if Hamas is now in charge?”

McCain answered: “They’re the government; sooner or later we are going to have to deal with them, one way or another, and I understand why this administration and previous administrations had such antipathy towards Hamas because of their dedication to violence and the things that they not only espouse but practice, so . . . but it’s a new reality in the Middle East. I think the lesson is people want security and a decent life and decent future, that they want democracy. Fatah was not giving them that.”

For some Europeans in Davos, Switzerland, where the interview took place, that’s a perfectly reasonable answer. But it is an unusual if not unique response for an American politician from either party. And it is most certainly not how the newly conservative presumptive Republican nominee would reply today.

Given that exchange, the new John McCain might say that Hamas should be rooting for the old John McCain to win the presidential election. The old John McCain, it appears, was ready to do business with a Hamas-led government, while both Clinton and Obama have said that Hamas must change its policies toward Israel and terrorism before it can have diplomatic relations with the United States.

Even if McCain had not favored doing business with Hamas two years ago, he had no business smearing Barack Obama. But given his stated position then, it is either the height of hypocrisy or a case of political amnesia for McCain to inject Hamas into the American election.
