Clinton Keeps Focus on McCain, Ignores Bush Remarks on Obama

BATH, SD — Hillary Clinton focused on agriculture at a farm in one of the final two primary states, blasting John McCain for supporting the president’s Farm Bill veto threat.

But she didn’t have much to say about the man she’s battling for the right to run against McCain in November - or the criticism President Bush seemed to be leveling at her Democratic primary opponent.

In Israel, Bush ridiculed those who would negotate with “terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along.” Calling the idea a “foolish delusion,” Bush compared such talk to the appeasement of the Nazis in 1939.

While the White House denies that the comments were aimed at Sen Obama, they’ve been widely interpreted as attacking his stated philosophy of meeting with foreign enemies of the United States, such as Venezuelan strongman Hugo Chavez and Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Democrats from Howard Dean to Joseph Biden have lashed out at Bush’s critique.

A Clinton spokesperson said it was unlikely that the New York Senator would do the same at this event, but promised a statement that would come down hard the president. The promised statement has yet to be released. In fact, Sen Clinton herself has criticized Obama for the same position — calling a promise of presidential meetings with dictators and despots without preconditions the height of naivite.

On the farm, Clinton tore into McCain for siding with Bush on vetoing the Farm Bill, saying “they’re like two sides of the same coin, and it doesn’t amount to much change.” And while she leveled some gentle criticism at Obama on health care and his “persuade Washington to come together” approach to ending special interest influence in government, she left his name out when criticisng opponents of her gas tax holiday, instead getting a bit defensive over opposition to the idea. “If you don’t have an answer to the problem, then keep your peace,” she said. “Otherwise, come up with your own answer.”

In general, the attacks on McCain are growing in frequency, while the attacks on Obama are delivered with less and less intensity. With even a 41 point win in West Virginia failing to change the game - and the Edwards endorsement of Obama stealing much of her thunder - even the Clinton campaign seems to have transitioned to a general election mode — but one in which her primary opponent is the Democratic nominee.

WHERE IS THE WHOPPER OF THE DAY. Our president fearmongering in Israel….

Can’t believe she is pandering up in SD. Wasting all that money when she should be paying off her debt.

Omentum, Is it your money Senator Clinton is spending? Worry about your own pocketbook, not hers. As for pandering, how about Obama and his pandering by wearing a flag pin among other things or pandering to Edwards to get his endorsement, altho it didn’t mean much.

Bush was right.
We do not need renegades holding talks with our and our ally Israel’s enemies.
We have one government.
Pelosi, Kerry, Carter and Obama’s guy Malley are out of line.
We have a chain of command!
If the Dem leaders can’t have respect for our government, why do think they they are qualified to run it?
Until January 2009, Foreign policy is Condaleeza Rice’s job!
They would be losing their minds if Obama or Clinton were President and McCain took it upon himself to run foreign policy behind their backs!
That would be considered treason in most other countries!

More superdelgates went to Obama camp. Meanwhille ABC news published news of Obama handing his supportes in Illinois some heafty contracts.

I wonder what are these superdelages smoke or are they totally withe their heads in sand??
The only reason Obama has the delegates and the wins he has is because the primaries were held before people knew who the real Obaba is.
He sure like hell is not the guy he portrayed himself to be.

People believed maybe in Obama before Rev. Wright and other similar news but at this point OBAMA IS NOT ELECTABLE. Are the democrats bent to hand the White House to McCain on a plateau?
I’m voting for NOBAMA and I don’t care who the VP may be.

Why is it Bush and McCain refuses to talk people they do not like?

They would rather call them terrorist and seek to send our troops in harms way again.

I think they ares afraid that people they don’t like may have a legitmate reason for not liking us. And this is their foreign policy stradegy.

Maybe in their simple mind, they think, we have the strongest military in the world and we don’t have to negoiate with anybody. We will exercise our will on the the rest of the world and they can do nothing to stop us.

Don’t get me wrong. I am not blaming America. I am blaming the behavior of some americans.

Clearly…Clinton is trying to ride on her husbands popularity and agenda.
The American people want real change in Washington.
Change that reduces government regulation, inspection, arrest, and taxation on their lives. This is at the federal, state, county, and municapal level of government. The new call to arms is: ” get off of my back…and let us do what Americans do.

Without the the oppressive taxes of government…and a national refocus on independence and personal responsibilities, with a major decrease in our nation’s involvement as the world’s policeman and humanitarian…we would lead pretty productive and happy lives.

Let other industrialized nations bear equal per capita financial responsiblity for solving the worlds troubles.

Let’s focus on home,….and our own future. Not a foreign nation’s.

The tide has turned, was already in the making only they forgot to tell the Rep., now they are at the 11th hour really worried after the by elections turned democratic. Even money pouring in, high profile support did not make any difference. More concerning is that old tactic of portraying opponent as liberal, or tied to Obama doesnt work. Unlike the unpopular Bush and dissmal proposals of McCain that have a negative effect. Since Obama virtually clinched nomination Rep. are slowly into a downfall, losing in polls where he was virtually tied for months, GOP losing most likely the House and Senate for years to come. Its all a bit halve baked what Mccain has to offer, economically and health insurance not much real change. Wants expanding trade deals, whereas voters prefer first to deal with domestic issues rather than shipping jobs overseas. The most fun is to watch Mccain declare that global warming is a fact. WOW, amazing, the sky is blue and the grass is green too. Now the most unlikely fellow needs to be GOP saviour, boy who would have thought that some months ago. On top of that no viable program, or energetic positive message. Just counter react or retract what he said before, like 100 year war, now maybe in 5 year victory, great in a week divided it by 20, but with no certainties. Against some of Hagee’s comments but still like his endorsement. His flip flops on major issues, gun control, abortion and tax cut.
Secrecy of Cindy Mccain tax return, no wonder since just this week disinvested stocks that were related to rogue states- Sudan. His whole belief on transparency, accountability takes a turn for the worst, and he revamps or tries to as a normal conservative. Even religious conservaives are not convinced. Now they try to also go on the change theme, as seen on latest ad, astonishing that campaign has no creativity or can come with a viable alternative, maybe thats their fate. They are locked in old behavior, and cant change overnight. Age ism, weak candidate, no program of their own making and no full purse, recipe for disaster.

Mccain is the more dangerous one, especially concerning foreign policies. His advisors are in the far extreem right wing of the party, James Woolsey and consorts. They like to revamp the world order as if it was in the cold war. Exclude Russia and China from the major organisations, really bizarre; anybody who is only a hint against Israel is a enemy. Israel itself is more tha Likud, it has Labour party, religious parties (who by the way walked out when Bush was speaking) and in the end parties somehow has to come together. The last thing they need is more warmongering which only make matters orse.

Obama, Clinton, and McCain are getting alot of questions about high gasoline prices.

TV news people are talking about possible $4/gallon gas this summer.

Environmental extremism has alot to do with these high prices.

Global Warming is a hoax and a false religion the roots of which come from some liberal political groups

hatred of capitalism and freedom and modern life as we know it for polluting the world and the

atmosphere and a false belief that this is causing worldwide climate change.

Most rational minded scholars, scientists and meteorologists do not share this radical politically motivated

view of climate change and make a convincing scientific argument against it.

Lawsuits filed by so-called environmentalists against every effort by energy providers to bring

fuel to market have driven up consumer prices to record levels and will go even higher.

Please understand that you can combat this trend by becoming educated on this subject and demand

that politicians denounce Global Warming and put a stop to dangerous environmental extremism

and environmental lawsuits against energy providers. Do a Google search on Global Warming Debunked

to get started. Write letters to your school board and let them know you don’t want your children

indoctrinated with only one side of the global warming debate. Democrats attack energy providers

for making a profit instead of admitting their own extreme and false environmental ideology is

the true cause of todays high costs of doing business. Democrats are against oil, natural gas,

coal, and nuclear energy development in our own country. Make no mistake about it, Democrats

are enemies of energy producers and the buck stops at their desks for our current economic situation.

Please keep this and the price of your fuel in mind when voting this November.

We have the technology to make enviro-safe oil rigs, refineries and power plants.
The are more than EPA compliant.
The enviro groups are big money organizations. They block drilling, building or retro fitting safety measures on the rigs and refineries. Sweden and Denmark use American technology. They are enviro conscious countries.
We are so dependent on foreign oil that we have no control of the price.
We are at the mercy of OPEC.
If we don’t become self sufficient soon, we will allow our own economy to collapse.
We will be dependent on oil for a while to come. New sources of energy must be explored also, but not by putting a strain on the world-wide food and feed supplies.
Drilling our own is the one option that could relieve the strain, until something better comes along.
At least we should let the tech companies show us the safety features that are now out there!
They won’t even look at the technology. It might be good. Sweden and Denmark think so.

We can decrease carbon emissions, by using both environment and technologically
Carbon emissions can be filtered and used to grow plants and molds. Plants and mold make antibiotics as well as fabric, feed and millions of other products.
Plants inhale carbon dioxide and exhale oxygen.
More plants, less carbon. Ferns are excellent carbon filters.
Power plants can be fitted to recycle, compress and liquify gasses.
