The democrats really want to win against McCain. The only reason Edwards endorsed Obama is he knows that Hillary has no way of catching up with Obama, even if you count Michigan and Florida are counted. Edwards is a true democrat who peace in the family, not this racial division as of late.

If you’ll remember when all the candidates were debating early on in the race, BHO and Edwards teamed up against Senator Clinton all the time until BHO spouted off something about Edwards and then he let up on Clinton. I have always respected Edwards, but no more. He’s shown what he is and it isn’t pretty. Obama will throw him under the bus like he has everyone else.

Who cares. He is irrelevant and always has been. I just saw him tear into Barak on some very cogent issues during the campaign–on You Tube. I think that Edwards has made the decision that he feels will help unite the democrats in preparation for the general election. In the end, Sens. Clinton and Obama share the same views on the major issues (health care, ending the Iraq war, economy, energy crisis), and it would be far better to have either of them in office than McCain.

If we want to elect a democrat in ‘08, then the time to start uniting the party is now. Edwards is trying to do that and I think its commendable. While I support Obama personally, I would be happy to vote for either him or Clinton this fall, seeing as how they have very similar opinions regaring public policy and where the country needs to go.

It WILL NOT work. Sen. Edwards ran for office, How well did he do? He will not make a difference with the people we know how to make up our own minds. There are too many questions about Sen. edwards wants to be the veep. hesnot liked much by his neighbors.once he went outside to walk the dog or check the mail or something (this is his home in sc) and the neighbor wanted to chat and she said later that he didnt even recognise her long enough to chat and then hurried back into the house. the neighbor said that hes not a very socialable person and relly doesnt care about the poor (its just a front).

It wasn’t a reporter. It was a worker in the auto plant he was campaigning in. Never does answer a question just evades it with a flip comment. Guess he’s afraid to answer truthfully that he would impose more regulation and taxes on the company. They should know that isn’t going to Help them the workers much.

His “commendable” endorsements comes now in the hopes to stop an onslaught of women finding their voice. The sight of him leading his wife and little girls up to the podium made me grimace. Perhaps he should turn and gently let his daughter down…no a girl can’t grow up to be president even if her views are the same as a man; even if she has a solution and he can’t seem to come up with one. I wonder which view made him decide this was his man in the end…it hadn’t been a week since he said that Obama needed to get some meat behind what he was saying. I must have missed it.

There’s nothing dirty about it. Superdelegates are free to announce whenever they want and if they truly support the candidate, then they should wait for the most opportune time to do it.

Also, many Hillary supporters are women and they tend to be emotional and sometimes irrational. That is why they are saying they will vote for McCain. Just give them time to calm down and everything will be fine.

i admire hillary. she is a true fighter. it seems her own party keeps finding ways to throw her down and she keeps getting back up. she has my respect now and forever. i dont care what anyone else says, this lady would have my back if i needed it and i believe that she is the best for this country. its such a shame. i still hope she can outsmart those party leaders. i hope she has an ace up the sleeve. i hope she runs as an indepoendent cause there is no doubt in my mind, she would win! especially AFTER obama becomes the nominee and then the dnc and the supporters find that he is NOT what he says he is.

Its very interesting to read all of the rants from angry Clinton supporters. Look, either Clinton or Obama would be good for the country, and Edwards is choosing to side with Obama for his own reasons (maybe for a VP spot, which would be a good thing for the country, too).

When all is said and done, they are all politicians and make decisions to help their own careers. Fortunately for us, all of the Democratic candidates can also make this country a better place while helping their careers (I’m not sure I can say the same for the Republicans).

I agree Jim; I think all of the people claiming they will vote for McCain is rubbish. If some people choose to do so its because they cannot master their own egos and want to feel powerful in some sick vindictive way.

It is tough to back someone who ends up losing (I did it in 2000 and 2004), but in the end you need to support the candidate that shares your views. In this case, Sens. Clinton and Obama are much closer in terms of the issues than McCain, so the decision is simple.

Perfect timing after Hill’s big win last night. Now everyone forgets about how she wiped the floor with Obama.

You may not like what I said but I did try to say it politely. It is pretty well accepted that women are more emotional than men and men tend to think more logically. This is not true in 100% of people but it is more true than false. And it explains why there are more Hillary supporters who say they won’t vote for Obama than vice versa. Personally, I tend to think logically and I do not believe many Hillary supporters will vote for McCain once they realize what is at stake. The supreme court is split 5-4 on Roe v Wade and 4 more justices are nearing retirement. It only takes one to overturn it.
