Obama Says He Will Wrap Up Primary with an Oregon Win

Eugene, OR–

At an evening rally at the University of Oregon, Senator Barack Obama said that he is going wrap up the primary if he wins Oregon, “All across the country the American people are saying yes we are ready for change. We are ready for something new. We are ready to turn the page on American history. And we are going to bring this election to a close right here in Oregon if all of you–all of you join us.”

The crowd of several thousand was made up mostly of students who cheered the University of Oregon basketball coach who introduced Obama. The Democratic frontrunner noted that he was also campaigning with the Oregon State basketball coach, which happens to be his brother-in-law, Craig Robinson. He joked that the two rivals sharing the stage was a sign of harmony:

“I just want to point out that this campaign has been about unity from the start and today we had the new coach of the Oregon State University Beavers introduce me. Well he happens to be my brother- in-law so you better not boo and the coach of Oregon University that’s a sign of being able to bring anybody together in this country — the Ducks and the Beavers.”

Obama got serious when he told supporters that he is not perfect and that he wanted to tell the crowd about himself because Republicans are making the campaign about him, “It appears the Republicans are intent on making this campaign about me–about whether I wear a flag pin or. . .my bowling score—you know my eating habits or. . .the offensive remarks of a former pastor that’s what they want to make this campaign about. ” He went on to tell the crowd that the campaign is about them—not John McCain, not Hillary Clinton, and not Barack Obama, but all Americans.

Who is Zbigniew Brzezinski?

Not only has Brzezinski publicly defended the anti-Semitic canard that the relationship between America and Israel is the result of Jewish pressure, but he also signed a letter demanding dialogue with Hamas, whose charter calls for Israel’s destruction. It behooves us to understand the mentality of Obama’s Middle East adviser—and more deeply than our so-called experts.

With Brzezinski advising him, Obama’s chant about CHANGE may be more serious and insidious than Hillary’s silly utterances. He may have in mind changing the fundamental character of the American regime. That would fit well with the designs of one of his backers, billionaire George Soros, a globalist committed to the termination of the nation-state and the ascendancy of world government.

Yeah, right, Junior OHamas! And I’m impressed with how quickly you’re FINALLY dumping your “”"former”"” pastor!

In a way I wish Obama could win in Nov. so I could watch the Obambot’s reaction to the most ineffective leader since Jimmy Carter. Fortunately for the US, he won’t win. Hillary is more electable and more qualified, but Americans are eternally stupid. Congrats McCain on the easy ride…you know on “the train”…the one that’s actually going to the White House.

******************************************************************

The greatest supporting evidence for the argument “Americans are eternally stupid” is the re-election of Hillary’s husband, Bill Clinton in 1996.

Eight years of Bill Clinton only seemed like an eternity.

Isn’t Z. Brzezinski the father of Mika Brzezinski who is co host on MSNBC’s Morning Joe. I know her last name is the same and her father was on the show one day and he has the same last name. He came out early on for Obama and she is as bad as Chris Matthews the way she twitters and can’t sit still when she talks about him.

For once I’d like to hear BHO say what these “changes” are that he’s been spouting since he announced his candidancy. It’s all talk with him, nothing substantial. What an empty suit.

I guess I’m one of the middle class, working people that can understand Senator Clinton very plainly but not this moron.

Already weeks and months in the making, finally Obama rightful nominee. Back to McCain, and focus will get on full force about his stands, beliefs and proposals. Its not a pretty picture, many Rep. would rather stay home than vote for a weak candidate that forsakes the basic civil liberties with his policies. On personal matter he has problems with his association with several pastors who he refuses to renounce, secrecy of tax return Cindy, his business dealings of party backers in Arizona concerning land and development, his temper, his age, his medical record has not been released as promised, his flip-flops on fundamental issues, his bizarre foreign policy in which he wants to exclude Russia and China in major organisations, his lack of economic understanding, his alliance with unpopulair Bush policy and the overall lack of a narrative where he stands or what he wants. Pep. party must dread the fact with such a weak candidate, since it can leave the party in the cold for years to come.

Comment by ari

On issues of abortion, immigration, tax cut, McCain has big problems; flip flopped all over the place. The more intrusion of federal government goes against basic principle of civil liberties, and Mccain wants this policy to continue. The more fundamental fact is lack of direction, one can see it on his political advisors and in his speeches. One hand compromise and other hard stand, one get lost what he stands for. His economic policy has been lambasted by most economics as halve baked, and doesn’t show very good accounting in the numbers. Only hope is that Obama will make some mistake since has not much to offer and his fundraising abilities is weak, which says a lot about the liking of the electorate of him. His whole stand on accountability, openness went right out of the window when he got the presumptive nomination. Now Obama sounds the more sincere, good mannerism and clear reality on issues. Tiring everytime to watch Mccaon say someting retract it a day later, or make some excuse. Am not sure, but maybe his medical records will show something, seems he has lost some his faculties to say consistent the same thing and make the stuid mistakes.

Little Barak, Little Barak. These points are being brought up because they are a reflection of your character. You and Michelle said we need to drop the Rev. Wright thing … no we don’t. Your long time association with your so-called Rev. Wright and your use of Rev. Why are none of the questions people have about Obama ever answered by Obama? What exactly is this “change” he is touting?

In one of his speeches he said he had been to 57 states??? Was I asleep when we got those extra states?

I predict since Blackwater was used during the Bush admin no news agency is going to mention Obama’s ties with them. The GOP is touted to have a minimum of 1000 pages of items against Obama, so why not bring some of it to the forefront now? Just how is it helping Americans make an educated selection during the primaries if it withholds everything? Why play the con game with the voters? The GOP also claims to have 1,200 against Hillary, but sheesh how many times can you bring up her husband when it comes to HER campaign?

I still want Obama’s state senate records. Why aren’t these mentioned everytime someone talks to Obama???

It’s the old “spoofing” technique. You make the ignorant public think that the trivia like Jeff X outlined above are important … it then places the focus on this trivial garbage as it relates to the discussion in the media as who Obama is and what he really represents. It then provides a diversion for the media not to have to cover what should really be of concern relative to Obama. The guys over in CNN and MSN are really good at this and they often use it to divert the public away from what should be important (like Obama and his friend Rev. Wright) … I often watch them just for the amusement.

I suspect all these alleged “college-educated” people who follow Obama aren’t very smart afterall, especially if they don’t have the “smarts” to figure out what Obama is all about. Taxpayer dollars paying for the majority of the college educations and they still can’t figure out who and what is behind Obama’s sudden rise to fame. Doesn’t say much for those college educated elitists does it, lol. I guess their only concern is like Obama’s - the price of arugula.

I don’t like to be negative … but there is a lot of money out there influencing your democracy … by all sides. There are a lot of agendas which will impact the lives of Americans, and not all of them are positive.

Comment by Angst

I understand there has been money behind the elections, but the Clintons, for all their baggage, have never tried to take away life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness from the American people.

If you look hard at Hillary’s life, you will see she has been fighting for women and children her entire life. Even when it was not politically expediant to do so. What the F has Obama EVER done?

Comment by Jeff X

Angst…I’m certainly not a Hillary backer..but we’re talking about something I consider much more evil than the Clintons, we’re talking pure evil in the people that surround Obama. They’re not even trying to hide it from America, they’re sticking it our faces.

Comment by Independent

Well put Jeff X. There are certainly degrees of evil, and as you stated, what comes with Obama should be of great concern to Americans. And I would normally say they will get what they deserve … but this is pretty serious stuff we’re dealing with here.

Comment by Angst

Jeff X, I certainly agree on that count and had the government not allowed the media to become a monopoly we would probably be hearing more about Obama and his backers. Look at what Obama’s alleged opinion was on Blackwater and other such security companies, yet he has the CEO of Blackwater on his campaign.

It took the foreign press to bring Malley to the forefront. He resigns, yet Obama claims to have “fired” him…(who in their right mind would believe that?) Obama only claims to have fired Malley in order to look like he has some backbone.

Comment by Angst

If these media pundits really did love America as they claim, they would not allow the American people to fall for this bull.

I’m sure Soros claims he loves America too. It’s just a different sort of love. He loves the fact that he can make the US part and parcel of his larger agenda and has Obama to obtain those goals.

McCain for all his faults, loves America for the right reasons.

Clinton for all her faults, loves America for the right reasons.

I understand Wright all right. Everything wrong with the black community is all “whitey’s” fault. The “whites” haven’t done enough to repay the blacks for slavery which happened years and years ago. The “whites” haven’t done enough to give blacks enough money to even keep their young people supplied with belts to hold their pants up. The “whites” should be content to look at the underwear of all black youth. The “whites” are responsible for the inability of the black community to be better parents. The “whites” are responsible for the blacks having to pay back student loans. The “whites” are responsible for everything the black community doesn’t want to take responsibility for. The “whites” are responsible for the inability of black students to go to school. The “whites” are responsible for black on black crime. The “whites” are responsible for drug abuse among blacks. The “whites” are responsible for illegitimate children. The “whites” are what is wrong with America - THAT is what Wright and Obama are about.
