Obama Talks Tacos and Superdelegates

Woodburn, OR–

Senator Barack Obama was flooded with superdelegate endorsements today, which at last count was nine. He acknowledged the surge, but said he is more focused on getting voters on his team:

“I’m gratified that we’ve got some superdelegates that are coming our way. And I think we’ve got a strong case to make that I will be a nominee that can pull the party together and take on John McCain In the fall,” Obama told reporters, “So we’re gonna be—our focus has always been on the pledged delegates and just getting the American people to vote for us and we think that ultimately that should be the strongest measure of who’s the nominee, but if superdelegates also feel that we’re gonna be a strong candidate then I’m very pleased with that.”

Obama also commented on some of the campaign debt that Senator Hillary Clinton has accrued during her candidacy and if he would help relieve some of it. He said he was “still in the middle of a race,” but that he does want to unite the party:

“When you’ve had a strong opponent you want to make sure you’re putting that opponent in a strong position so that they can work to win an election in November,” Obama continued, “And so obviously I’d want to have a broad range discussion with Senator Clinton about how I could make her feel good about the process and have her on the team moving forward, but as I said its premature right now, she’s still actively running and we’ve still got business to do here in OR and other states.”

Obama spoke with reporters briefly when he stopped by a Mexican restaurant, Luis’s Taqueria for lunch. The mostly Hispanic crowd started chanting “Viva Obama!” and “Si se puede!,” as he walked around shaking hands and taking photographs. Obama chuckled and broke out into a huge grin. He sat down to a meal of beans, rice, and beef with local residents who joined the senator including a little boy who Obama greeted with, “Que pasa?” when he walked up with his Mom.

He definitely enjoyed his plate–after finishing he exclaimed, “I’m stuffed!”

The majority of Hispanics do not support Buckwheat or Gorilla Face. They are in the Hillary camp. Proof, look at Cali and Texas. We could prove it in Florida however, Herr Dean does not allow does Hispanics to show their true colors, and it ain’t BLACK.

The majority of Democrats and some Republicans will be on board with Obama. It’s the logical thing to do. The world doesn’t need to see America through grandpa McBush’s face. We need a change, to bring this great nation back after the disastrous Bush era.

Sophia, Please, how many Hispanics do you know in Texas, Florida, California. Come and find out. You would be surprised how much your “boy” is NOT liked or supported. And by the way, thank you for looking down your “liberal snout” at us. If you and your “sissified little black girl” cannot stand the heat, don’t run for President, that is the logical thing to do.

Actually, you might be surprised how many of us DO support Obama! The main thing at this point, IMO, is to get a Democrat into the White House, whichever one that may be. Trust me, after living in AZ for 25 years and having McCain as my “representative,” I speak from experience when I say he does NOT represent us well. No matter which Dem is nominated, we’ll be better off with that person as President.

A vote for McCain:

1) is a vote for Bush’s 3rd term
2) 100 years in Iraq, wars with Syria, Iran, North Korea
3) 2 new conservative judges to push us back to the 1950’s
4) stagnant scientific research
5) incompetence on the global stage as other nations progress

P.S. I do have family in Texas and California, not all are for Obama but they will be soon ;-)

-Age matters because the rest of the world is watching us.
-This is the highest office of the land in the world’s only superpower

Silly liberal. Nice rhetoric, but where’ the meat?

1. Goofy catch phrase used when the speaker lacks an actual informed opinion.
2. Blatant corruption of the actual statement, parsed to the exact opposite of his clear statement.
3. Hopefully 4 new Justices who will actually read the Constitution instead of the verdicts from the Hague.
4. Eh? You mean the end of idiotic prok projects like counting the veins in butterfly wings?
5. You mean BO. No, he won’t be offered the S of S job. He will remain a junior Senator.

Gotta love Michelle’s comment last week at a rally in NC.

Spaeaking about BO’s mom:

“Well see, his mother had a lot of nerve on her own, right? She thought that she could be something special, even though she grew up in a little town in Kansas.”

Yeah, it’s pretty uppity to think you could be something special if you live in a small town.

The sad part is that She and BO aren’t even aware of how telling these comments are about the way they think. This is just “normal” to them. They have absolutely no clue what America is about outside of their narrow inner city view.

http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/05/09/report-obama-adviser-ousted-after-speaking-with-hamas/

I’ve been yelling about Malley for months.

[A Middle East policy adviser for Barack Obama has left the campaign after acknowledging having held talks with Hamas, FOX News confirms.

The Times newspaper in London first reported Friday that the campaign was severing ties with the adviser, Robert Malley.

Malley said he had been in contact with the Palestinian group, but only through his work for a “conflict resolution think tank,” and not on behalf of the Obama campaign, the newspaper reported.

Obama spokesman Bill Burton told FOX News Malley was “an ancillary adviser who never met with Obama, literally one of hundreds of informal advisers who from time to time offered advice on Middle East policy.”]

==============================================================

As someone with relatives all over Europe, I can say that immigration is a serious problem for many countries. Their open door policies and politically correct acceptance of diversity is not just causing problems with crime, it is creating a loss of national identity. It isn’t the kind of diversity from the past with inter-marriage among various Euro ethnic groups. It is the influx of African and Arab immigrants that have no basic relationshipt to the countries ethnic groups. My one cousin said that he believed that some countries such as Denmark, The Netherlands, and Belgium would lose their national identity within the next 50 years.

As for socialism, it might work in some countries, but realize we’re talking a population the size of some of our smaller states. Almost all my relatives would love to live here. But there are some issues they worry about…crime is a big one. But as crime is imported into their countries they are starting to rethink that particular worry. Basically, they remain where they are to be close to family ties, but they wouldn’t be surprised if future generations leave.
