McCain signals support for Senate climate change bill
During his press conference in Jersey City today, Sen. McCain indicated that he is on the verge of getting behind the Lieberman-Warner climate change legislation:
“I’m pleased in negotiations and discussion with Senator Lieberman that there will be a far more important nuclear component of this legislation that’s going to be coming to the floor. I hope that it will be passed and I hope that the entire Congress will join in supporting it and the President of the United States would sign it,” McCain said, also taking a shot at his Democratic opponents as he added that, “Senator Lieberman and I brought the issue to the floor of the Senate long before Senator Obama or Senator Clinton had any involvement with it whatsoever.”
The presumptive GOP nominee may risk some heat from business groups like the US Chamber of Commerce, which currently opposes the legislation.
McCain, who will be rolling out his energy and environment policy next week during events in Oregon and Washington state, also said Friday that he will make comprehensive global climate change pact a priority.
“As president, I will dedicate myself to addressing the issue of climate change globally. I will work as my highest priority to have a global agreement that includes India and China,” he added.

Sure they believe in McCain but not enough to put their money where their mouth’s are.
It was bad enough watching McCain, have to take a second job at Wal-mart as a GREETER. But it was tragic how when he greeted me, he shook my hand then whispered in my ear, HEY, BUDDY, COULD YOU SPARE A LITTLE CHANGE.
IT’S A SHAME HOW HIS SUPPORTERS CAN DO THAT TO A WAR HERO. McCAIN PEOPLE ARE THE CHEAPEST PEOPLE IN THE WORLD
Oh great, McCains got a bunch of cheap-@$$ Hillary supporters, gonna switch sides. How much money has Hillary had to loan her campaign?
HILLARY SUPPORTERS—CHEAP

McCain needs $???…LOL..I doubt it..after all it costs nothing to watch the DEMS destroy themselves.
When the Democrats SELECT a nominee…..Then the Conservatives will start putting up some cash. Don’t really need to just yet
Jeff X,
You still there?
DB…yup…just got back
Someone been impersonating me over the last 3-4 days. Just wanted to let one of the regulars know and hopefully we’ve read enough about each other (all the regulars) to know the difference.
DB…It happens a lot…don’t sweat it
Yea I know just wanted to mention it
Ok, I’m going to go for tonight.
As always, I wish everyone well.
God Bless America!
McCain 08!!
“As president, I will dedicate myself to addressing the issue of climate change globally. I will work as my highest priority to have a global agreement that includes India and China,”
Any unemployed automobile workers willing to comment about Mr. McCain’s “highest priority” ?
How about any unemployed workers in general?
Sure makes me feel good. I plan to start a business, planting gardens in peoples’ yards in order to take carbon dioxide and convert it into more oxygen. I think I’ll start with those houses financed by sub-prime mortgages. Ahh, I see a real growth industry here.

Even though McCain isn’t the chosen one for Conservatives, he will still be better than the most Liberal Senator sock puppet for Ted Kennedy Obama. Nice try though.
Yay McCain he said “I will work as my highest priority to have a global agreement that includes India and China” ……..IDIOT, they already have that, its called the Kyoto Protocol……Oh, but if you go to http://www.johnmccain.com in the “environment” section, he states that he was glad the USA ducked out of the protocol……since then our emissions have risen 35-50%(depending on the source) McCain may have been a war hero back in the day, but when he got into office he sold his soul to the highest bidder……ever want to know why he is the 8th richest in the senate, it wasnt from his wife or his navy pension…..
Im sure McCain is a nice guy, but his policies are flawed in a major way
Ttry as the Dems may, the Pubbies will pound whoever the nom is.
Michelle is swiftboating Obama!
McCain 09!!!
Mccain , is that the old guy. Thats one perosn we reallyshould not vote for with all that experience he has in Washington and this country is still this screwed up. The old and weak need to be replace by young and strong . Because they are clear in thought and judgement. This guy needs to be in an old folks home, which he can pay for since his wife is worth about 400,000,000.00. But I guess he’s just an average guy too. Who’s going to look out for the little guy. Right.
If nothing has changed while they were nothing will change if they stay. That goes for Clinton as well.
John McCain has shown in the past to work with both republicans and democrats and this is just one of those times. Obama says he will work with both but his record shows otherwise.
Republicans has a new website and its a good one as you can ask questions of Obama! I have the URL of site on my blog http://Goodtimepolitics.com/

May 9, 2008): Barack Obama’s 57 United States (LA Times)
——————————————————————————–
http://WWW.latimesblogs.latimes.com/wash…-obama-wa.html
Well, okay, 55 if you discount Florida and Michigan
“It is wonderful to be back in Oregon,” Obama said. “Over the last 15 months, we’ve traveled to every corner of the United States. I’ve now been in 57 states? I think one left to go. Alaska and Hawaii, I was not allowed to go to even though I really wanted to visit, but my staff would not justify it.”
Snip
(UPDATE: At a later stop Obama was talking with reporters and expressed concern he’d also mis-stated the number of potential cyclone victims in Burma. He said, “”I hope I said 100,000 people the first time instead of 100 million. I understand I said there were 57 states today. It’s a sign that my numeracy is getting a little, uh.” At that point, an aide cut him off and ushered journalists out. Before he could mis-speak again?)
I THOUGHT I COULD HOLD MY NOSE AND VOTE FOR MCCAIN, BUT NOT AFTER HIS GLOBAL WARMING AND AMNESTY TOUR. HE DOESN’T GET IT!
US ARMY RETIRED, VIETNAM VET 68-69′

GOP’S ONLY HOPE
MCCAIN/CLINTON
McCain is a little to the left of Hillary but he has time to flip flop to the right.
McCain is still hiding his medical report which he said he would publish April 15th. It is going to be totally worthless unless it addresses his possible short term memory loss and the most modern up-to-date testing available for Alzheimers.
We dont need another person in the White House with Alzheimer’s making excuses that he cannot testify on matters of state because ‘he doesnt recall, like Ron Reagan had to admit during the Irangate investigation.
All candidates must submit to public testing of memory now that we have had Reagan. One is enough.
This McCain already shows he needs Liebermann to help thru a discussion of the middle east.
Will Leibermann answer the phone at 3 AM?
And I dont care if the short term memory loss is consistent with men of his age. I want to know how it compares to Naval aviators who would be under his command, when he is commander in chief. Age does matter.
His 96 yr old mother is not running for office any more than Rev Wright or Rev Hagee are.
The candidates are the ones who have to be looked at, as they are, not as they were in 2001 when Rev Wright was mad about 9-11 and when McCain still ‘had it’. I would have voted for McCain if he had got the nomination 8 years ago. He is not the same person, I am sorry. I have seen it on tv, over and over. Someone, please make sure that these medical tests include what we need to know. This cannot be swept under the rug on the premise of age-discrimination.
Dear Doug, vet of Viet
I was considering McCain too, until he approved waterboarding prisoners. I am sure waterboarding is not allowed under the Geneva convention. This CIA policy puts our troops at risk.
Climate control and global warming are the greatest hoaxes of our life time. Thanks to Al Gore and the enviromental whackoes we are using corn and other crops for fuel and the price has skyrocketed and people are dying. And the worst part is it doesn’t even work. If all the corn crops in the US were used for fuel it would only be about 18% of our total consumption. Obviously we are never going to use all the corn for biofuels, so this is never going to be a real solution. McCain is supposedly a Republican but has clearly lost his way.
