Hamas Endorses Obama

On Sunday, Aaron Klein and John Batchelor interviewed Ahmed Yousef, chief political adviser to the Prime Minister of Hamas, on WABC radio. The interview produced a scoop which, for some reason, has not been widely publicized: Hamas has endorsed Barack Obama for President. Yousef said, “We like Mr. Obama and we hope he will win the election.” Why? “He has a vision to change America.” Maybe Yousef has some insight into what Obama means by all these vague references to “change.”

Of course, Hamas’s taste in American presidents is suspect. Yousef also described Jimmy Carter, who was about to pay a call on Hamas when the interview was taped, as “this noble man” who “did an excellent job as President.”

Yousef was asked about Obama’s condemnation of Carter’s visit with Hamas, but didn’t seem troubled by it. Hamas, he says, understands American politics; this is the election season, and everyone wants to sound like a friend of Israel. Nevertheless, he hopes that the Democrats will change American policies when they take office

Many who are disguisted with the DNC and the incompetency of Howard Dean are encouraging Senator Clinton to run Independent. Obama would lose without her supporters. McCain would lose due to her strength on the economy and opposition to the war. Florida would be DELIGHTED. The coronation of Obama after winning NC is pathetic. NC was tailored for him. It’s not like he had to earn it. Now if Obama wins West Virginia, now that might truly be something to tout about. Hillary truly is more electable, and more experienced. If Hillary finds her strength to declare Independence –watch the DNC and GOP faint.

We will fight by your side til the end. I am absolutely digusted by this whole process.Why are we as Americans putting up with all this. . I will not vote for Obama when the time comes.Please Hillary run as an Independent.you will have millions of supporters.

Why would I stay in a party that the NonLeader, Howard Dean says if I bring up Jeriamiah Wright. that I am a race baiter…

What does Jerimiah Wrights views and support of Hamas have to do with race? Why would I stay in a party that would disenfranchise millions of voters?

Why would I stay in a party that would throw thier support to a man who hasn’t been vetted?

At that time, they will then have a good reason for rooting for one of thier own.

Hillary won’t go independent and McCain will win the GE!! Hillary is a Democrat for life and will not jeopardize a this small chance for them to win the White House!!

If the DNC awards Hillary the nomination there will be a small percentage of a “black” revolt.

What organization, group, unit ,Anything, have either one of them ever led? Three years ago,Obama was an obscure Illinois state Senator, the product of the corrupt Chicago Daly political machine. Both of them have never been commanders of anything.

I’m starting to believe some of what Ralph Nader has been saying. There is not much difference between the two major political parties. Sen. Clinton says she should be the nominee because she’s winning in all the important states and Barack Obama “can’t close the deal”.

But here are the facts that people are ignoring:

Sen. Clinton won her “home” state of Arkansas with more of sixty percent of the vote, and her “other” home state of New York with 57 percent. But she only won California with 51 percent and Michigan, where she ran unopposed, with 55 percent. Out of the 30 races that Sen. Obama has won, 18 were with MORE THAN 60 PERCENT OF THE VOTE. That’s more contests than Sen. Clinton has won combined.

Sen. Clinton has never led this race. She came in third in Iowa and has remained behind.

So who should be the Democratic Party’s nominee? The person in lead, the person who’s winning, Barack Obama.

My friends don’t fall into this trap where we start demonizing the other candidate to reinforce the belief and support for our candidate of choice.

I respect and admire Sen. Clinton for her service to this country, and every time I blogged on this thread (or any other thread) I have never shown any disrespect for her, I have always argued on the substantive issues only.

The Democrats need to overcome their differences and unite. Don’t allow yourselves to be tricked by the Republicans. They will argue for Sen. Clinton to stay in this race-DON’T BE FOOLED. The want the Democratic Party to implode.

Please go to Hillaryclinton.com and urge Sen. Clinton to SUSPEND her campaign, for the sake of the party, for the sake of the country.

The vote tallies doesn’t surprise me…I had a feeling someting might be wrong. I hope it was just an honest mistake..it sounds like it was.

Hillary would be marginalized if she ran as an independent. She would have very limited financial backing mainly because the Dems would be forced to support the party candidate. Perot discovered there is no room for a 3rd party in major US politics, all she could do is detract from the Democratic candidate which would likely result in a McCain victory.

I don’t believe she is electable. There is a lot of baggage that goes back to Arkansas and to the first years in the White House. There is Grand Jury testimony that although secret would become fodder for the media. Her husband’s work since he left the White House is suspect at best and some would go even farther. She has said that you get two for the price of one, and I think the image of Bill roaming the halls of the White House is enough to scare a lot of voters away

The difference between the two is gender and race. Policies, issues and qualifications are generally the same. The members of congress for Michigan and Florida……. the member’s their constituents voted for broke the rules, secondly Hillary didn’t want the votes counted either until she was losing. It wasn’t until after the Virginia, Maryland, and DC primaries that she wanted those votes counted, cause that’s when she fell behind over 100 points. get your facts straight. She has faced two major political challenges in her life and she has failed at both, health care under Bill and now the nomination for presidency. She couldn’t even win the Democratic nomination, let alone the general election.

Hillary and Bill Clinton are hoping to steal the nomination probably so they won’t have to testify in the Paul vs Clinton case in California. A sitting president and former president probaby have immunity from testifying or appearing in the courts.

Bobbi and June and other Obama supporters. I wonder why Omama supporters retort to name calling for people who sate they wont vote for Obama. Why are Obama supporters are calling the rest ‘racists’? I am a life long democrat but I will vote for McCain (even if i really don’t like him and even he is old). He has a brain,, he had worked across party lines, he had passed many bills and has been a voice in the senate for a long time. He is a PATRIOT. Obama not so much - he has a brain alright used to keep speeches full of hot air (in interviews he seems to say ‘uhm’ a lot - for a lawyer this guy cannot think to fast). Obama has zero to show for as experience - the whole community organizer is bull.. and patriot NOT!
So there - that is why Hilary supporters will vote for McCain. We are forced to choose between the two lesser evils.
