Hillary’s Post-Primary Change of Plans

WASHINGTON — In the hours after losing big in North Carolina and squeaking out a 2 point victory in Indiana, Hillary Clinton’s campaign team made a decision to push ahead to the upcoming states sooner than they’d originally planned.

Arriving back in Washington at 3am following a protracted wait for the Indiana results — and amid some speculation on board the press plane that some news organizations might actually call the state for Obama — Clinton aides told the traveling press to gather again just 6 hours later for an event in West Virginia.

Spokesman Jay Carson said that in adding the campaign appearance, an economic rally in Shepherdstown, Clinton “wants there to be no doubt that we’re fighting for every vote.”

The campaign had originally planned no public schedule for the Senator; instead, she was meeting with superdelegates, both committed and uncommitted, at an undisclosed location in Washington, and holding a low dollar fundraising event with women featuring her mother Dorothy and daughter Chelsea

The meeting with superdelegates is still on as schedules, and Clinton will make it back in time for the evening fundraiser — which is expected to net more than half a million dollars. She’ll need every penny now; with a poor showing on Tuesday, the money will likely start drying up. More than delegates or party leaders or the popular vote, that could be the reason she’s forced to leave the race.

What is ridiculous is that noone has enough delegates to be officially called the winner. I thought a race was to be ran when there is a clear winner. So what this country is saying that if your behind in a race, you should just give up and sit on the bench, even though noone has crossed the finish-line. Anything can happen to the frontrunner, they can get off course, get a crap, or fall hard. And in those few seconds that it takes for that front runner to get back on his feet and gather themselve, the person who was behind went and sat on the bench, they still could have a chance to win the race if only they had not given up and sat on the sidelines. This democratic nominee process has been a scare tactic from the beginning. Al Sharpton and others saying that if the black community feels this race was stolen, there would be riots in the streets of America like no one has seen. I feel people are unconciously scared of a threat of a riot. Now thats fear-mongering. That didn’t sit right with me in the beginning and I’m African-America. I want a person who will get the job done, its not about making history to me, especially if there is no significant change 4 years from now. Just the same politics. So I will sit this election out in November and see how far this race baiting will go. The Threats of Riots. sad, sad, sad.

Since we are this far, I believe it is important to let the remaining states vote in a primary. That is only fair.

How that plays out has a lot to do with the media. These past two weeks, the three most watched cable stations have been pro-Clinton. Since the PA election, analysits have been saying that Obama can’t win this group and he can’t win that group. Last night’s results made the analyists’ comments sound rather ridiculous. One analyist said, “Well, (pause) I guess we were wrong.”

I can only hope the rest of the contests will be determined by voter knowledge and awareness of the issues, and less by the press.

Obama TV interview Friday March 14, 2008. Your first response.
“The statements that Rev. Wright made that are the cause of this controversy were not statements I personally heard him preach while I sat in the pews of Trinity or heard him utter in private conversation.” Obama said.

Obama Speech Tuesday March 19, 2008. Your second response.
“Did I ever hear him make remarks that could be considered controversial while I sat in the church? Yes,” Obama said.

Tell us Barack which one of your quotes should we believe.

Man O’ Man… there are alot of dissapointed Hillary fanatics out there… she LOST fair and square. The reason why the MI and FL contest were fair for all candidates is because she agreed to the rules prior to the game being played… If she cared about the voters she would have made a huge uproar back when they originally decided to stripe MI and FL of the seats…

But to not vote for Obama in the general and take out 4 more years of Iraq, Economic depression, etc… Man you are all crazy!

Just a reminder… If your children are about to graduate this Spring… They will be eligable for the DRAFT!

6-7 tours of duty are not going to promote new enlistments… so when our military is that stretched thin we need new troops to replenish the ranks… and a DRAFT will be coming if you elect McBush and 4 more years of Bush policies..

The vote is yours…

Americans fell asleep again.
It is so clear, that this is a RACE of RACE
Blacks vote for Senator Obama without a tangible reason, ask them why they vote for him, they’ll tell you “HE’S BLACK”

Whites are kind of emotional and fall for the Speaches and sweet talks.

Lets wake up !
Its not that Senator Obama will not make a good President, its just that race has played a great part in his normination and the Media is so scared to say it out.

The Media want him to win and they realy messed up this Election by not reporting fair and balance, but reporting what they want people to hear.

The best person to run against the Republican is Senator Clinton,
Clinton has what it takes to help bring America and the World back to the state we need to be.

I have not seen one media outlet comend Senator Clinton for who she is and what she has done for America and the World.

Not one time has anyone said she is a graet Woman and she exstrimly strong

She has brought alot to this Election, see how many people vote for her, even with the media bashing

Senator Clinton, as a Woman has run a great campain and given Senator Obama the fight of his life, she brought the best out of Senator Obama, if she had Droped out 2-3 months ago, guess what would have happened, the Republicans would have won this since last month.

Nobody is comending her for what she has done, instead they keep bashing her, but its bringing the best out of her.

I EXPECT TRUE AMERICANS TO JOIN IN THIS CRY. ! ! ! !

NC was the only win for Obama since Feb. and before Feb. the wins were small, no battleground states. Beside, 91% of the vote was AA in NC. A win is a win, would you want someone to tell you to “get out” after you just won a big battleground state like PA and just won in Indiana no matter how small it was.

It is sad we live in a nation that we as Americans cannot get the truth on reports and the news, we have to get some loudmouth, scarcastic pundits to tell us what we should be thinking, WHICH IS WHAT “THEY BELEIVE”. What happen to people like Tom Brokaw, Walter Cronkite, Dan Rather,Peter Jennings, who gave the news and reports, not these “baffoons” we have now, hollering for Hillary to get out. Fox is the only station who is not biased.

I am not a Hillary fan, but I do think the people in the other states should be heard.

DNC already has anointed Obambi as their nominee securing defeat in November. How many Left Wing Ultra Liberal Democrat have won the presidency, none.

Last democrat who won the presidency was centrist. Moreover, this nominating process is one of 90% plus African American vote for an African American, that in itself is a recipe for defeat. Here is why:

July, 2007
Total 301,621,157 100%
White 241,166,890 80.0%
Black 38,756,452 12.8%
Hispanic 45,504,311 15.1%
AIAN 2,938,436 1.0%
Asian 13,366,154 4.4%
NHPI 537,089 0.2%
Two or more races 4,856,136 1.6%

Can’t win without attracting significant % of White and Latino votes. One can drink as much or more Kool-Aid but demographic data points otehrwise.

Comment by Samy

Larry,
I understand your assertion on the race factor. Especially blacks voting for Obama in such a number. Given the fact that he is the first of their king to have a viable chance of giving them the pride of the impossible is something that drives them for it. You cant call that racism but rather undemocratic. These people will vote for Hillary in nearly the same numbers as they did for Obama if he is not there. That shows they have no latent racial thoughts behind. It is not racism but rather achieving the ultimate equality. Having to see a black president is in this case a once in a life time opportunity. Nothing else. Many prey for it to happen once in their life time. For you and me, this election is business as usual but for many blacks it is a question of a better mental identity.
Obama will be worse for the black community than the Clintons in effecting their economic progress, they know that. But that is not the driving motion here, it is having one of your type give you the pride you always dreamt of. It is the same with mormons who voted for Romney nearly exclusively. It is a dream come true.

Where there are a bunch of gray lifeless zombies sitting watching a giant TV screen, a man is talking (guess who) he just keeps saying the same thing over and over, just what the zombies want to hear. And then a woman (guess who) comes running up to the screen throws a sledgehammer and the screen, it explodes and its now its 2008. Not a 1984 nightmare with zombies sitting watching a giant TV screen and drinking a glass of Kool-Aid….

Independent & Logic,
Obama is as white as he is black. You all see him as a black candidate which he never was. Blacks vote for him because they want to see someone of their color achieve the impossible. That has nothing to do with racism it is only selfish and politically incorrect. Besides, he candidacy is to win, not to go a longer way than other minority candidates. He is more of a visionary who is very firm and intelligent. I am sure he will win the hearts of enough whites to win the election

“It ain’t over until the fat lady sings.” I do not think Hillary should give up at any cost. She has a great campaign going now and they need to play it out. At this point, even if she does endorse Obama then I would NOT vote for him. I doubt that I could even vote for him if Hillary was on the ticket as a VP. I know that he has some good points, but something about his manner just really turns me way off. She is a much more inspiring person. The media needs to let the votes go on until the end. Don’t give up on America, the Obama voters may wise up before it is too late!!

Marc writes…

No Phinny, somebody said Obama is winning because blacks are voting for him and don’t know why. I said be fair, in PA, whites said they voted for Hillary because she is white.<<<

Well I have no horse in this race but I just looked at the exit polls from Pennsylvania and about the same percentage of whites as blacks said race was an issue in deciding their vote (about 10%). Of those Obama scored 92% of the black vote from black respondants who said race was an issue and Hillary scored 76% of the white vote from white respondants who said race was an issue. So on the basis of the question “whether race was an issue in deciding who to vote for” neither blacks nor whites have a statistical advantage. However more whites who admittted to considering the race of the candidate crossed the “racial barrier” so to speak and voted for Obama than blacks of the same category did for Hillary.

It’s imprtant to remember though that that is only considering those that admitted they considered race in their choice of candidates. It’s reasonable to assume there were many whites and blacks who did consider it yet refused to admit it in the exit poll. It is also reasonable to assume that the majority did not consider race and chose their candidates based on policy differences or whatever.

The one thing most are missing in wake of these primaries is the party is over for Sen. Obama with the vast majority of white voters. While he is reeling in historic numbers of Black Voters (whom of course are voting on race and truly could not recite any of Obama’s Political Values), the Democrats won’t concede that the Rev. Wright rantings are now owned by Obama. The majority of white voters are deeply disturbed that Obama sat for 20 years listening to the anti-white, anti-American sermons, and simply do not believe that Obama doesn’t hold some of those beliefs as his own.
While he will win the Democratic nomination, the racial damage is done and that divide will prevent the Democrats from retaking the White House in November.

Comment by Marc

I’m just saying that the polls show that whites voted for Hillary because she is white. Remember, blacks were not going to vote for Obama in the beginning of this campaign. Now they are. Indiana was sad for Rush Limbaugh because 50% of Republicans for operation chaos, voted for Hillary, but 47% voted for Obama.

Comment by Informed College Student

Being a college student myself and seeing the vast amount of Obama supporters running around chanting for Obama on election day, I decided to ask them why they supported their candidate when they screamed on campus for me to vote for him. You know what I heard 9 out of 11 times? Because he’s for “change”! I then proceeded to ask what kind of change they meant.. and I heard statements like “Change in general, he’s wonderful!”

And you know what is REALLY sad? When I asked these students just what he stood for.. they had NO idea. 8 out of the 11 Obama supporters I randomly spoke to on campus had NO IDEA about Rev Wright!!!!! DO THESE KIDS WATCH THE NEWS?! There is no way they do!! I’m not saying that Rev. Wright should be the front issue.. but my point is that if these kids had never heard of this issue then they clearly do not stay informed with current events, thus they have no idea what they are voting for. They just found a new fad to jump in on…because it’s the new cool thing to do… until November, that is.

The saddest thing of this is that Obama’s camp is taking full advantage of these ignorant young voters by busloading them to voting locations. What a shame in democracy.

I feel like Obama’s run has been a campaign for high school class president, not commander in chief.

The honesty you dont want to hear May 7th, 2008 10:00 am ET

It is obvious that the blacks are voting racially. We all know that racism is alive and well in BLACK AMERICA. So, as a payback for the small-mindedness, I advocate that white America vote based on race alone. This will then remind the blacks that their racially motivated response to everything in America (like give me a free hand out because I’m black) is not a very good idea. Voting issues for everyone else and racially for blacks clearly says THEY have a long way to go. WE have gotten over race a long time ago. So not black America can give up their welfare checks and start pulling their own weight. I refuse to give another HAND OUT to them. We (the whites) use to view it as a HAND UP, but it has obviously been abused.

So the blacks can have the NAACP, and we will revive the KKK. And then they can complain about how they are being kept down and actually have a real reason to complain. But until they get over their skin color, we will continue to have to be racial.

And this is the state of the disunion. The racial blacks are causing this once great nation, to fall back 50 years, so they have a reason to ask for a free ride.

Not for me, I’ll give up on being a nice white person and just tell them where to go.
********************************

BEFORE THIS RACE IS OVER MOST AMERICANS WILL HAVE THAT SAME SENTIMENT….

AND ENOUGH WITH THIS AFFIRMATIVE ACTION FOR BLACKS ONLY, THERE ARE PLENTY OF POOR WHITE PEOPLE THAT SHOULD HAVE THE SAME OPPORTUNITY TO GO TO UNIVERSITY AND HAVE SPECIAL TRAINING FOR JOBS ETC…

THEIR BLATANT RACISM IS JUST A LITTLE OVERWHELMING AND A BIG SURPRISE TO MOST AMERICANS….

“Since the PA election, analysits have been saying that Obama can’t win this group and he can’t win that group. Last night’s results made the analyists’ comments sound rather ridiculous.”

You might want to take a closer look. The black vote is what gave Senator Obama the win in NC, just as it has in most of the primaries he has won.

NC Exit Polls by age and race:

White 17-29 = 56% Obama, 42% Clinton
White 30-44 = 43% Obama, 50% Clinton
White 45-59 = 34% Obama, 61% Clinton
White 60 & Older = 29% Obama, 69% Clinton

Black 17-29 = 93% Obama, 3% Clinton
Black 30-44 = 88% Obama, 7% Clinton
Black 45-59 = 94% Obama, 5% Clinton
Black 60 & older = 89% Obama, 6% Clinton

Black voters account for 30% of the North Carolina vote

Comment by critical view

92% of the African Americans voted for Obama in NC Democrat’s primary. How many percents of the rest voted for him? The answer is 37%. No one can dispute that race is a major factor in this election. The following are some interesting observations:
1. If equal percents voted on issues, then 84% (92%-8%) of African American and 26% (63%-37%) non-white voters were racially biased.
2. Clinton would have to get 46% of blacks or 75% of non-blacks in order to tie Obama. What a steep road to climb for poor Hillary!

An American in Canada sees the big picture. The picture no one will dare discuss, but remains true. I’m a life-long Democrat, but concede that come November these same statistics will bear out in Ohio, PA, Florida, Texas, and my home state - Colorado.

Blacks do not make up the majority in NC. so please come with something better.

I do not think Hillary should give up at any cost.

Tsk, Tsk, Obama won fair and square. If Hillary is going to throw her support behind him and unite the party to beat McSame, why can’t you all grow up and do the same?

Marc - Why is it that everyone that sites fact, or disagre with you are racists? That’s OLD!

Hillary needs to concede - it is over - from this day forward, her staying is no longer political, but a vain attempt to divide the party.

Oh dear McCain is sooo feeble. My god he is 71!

My dad is 75 and works 60 hours a week and never complains.

The dem hacks are clueless.

Like it or not. 71 is old. Just look in any paper’s obit section and you will see plenty of 70 year olds.

There are other consequences of old age such as dementia and Alzheimer’s.

Your dad’s good health is irrelevant to John McCain’s health. Your dad cannot transfer his health to McCain so it does not matter.

You’re really treading water to stay afloat here Jim.

That was true in FDR’s time, but television has led to the requirements that the candidates look good and healthy. FDR would not have one if America saw him in a wheel chair. Richard Nixon would have won in 1960 if he had shaved during the debate with Kennedy.

Just because McCain is healthy today, it is no guarantee of what will happen in 6 months. I’m not wishing anything bad on him, it is just the reality of getting older. He has shown signs that he MAY be getting forgetful. It could be lack of sleep or it could be something else. I guarantee it will be a factor in the race. Reagan’s alzheimer’s will cause people to wonder if it could happen to McCain during the presidency.

i want to know why it is okay for the blacks to vote along racial lines BUT if a white person who has done their due dillagance and decides the black canidate is not the one for the job and votes for the white person that makes them the racist. Give me a break!!! I hope all of white america comes out against this CRAP and votes for McCain. I was once a Obama supporter until i heard his big mouthed anti-american wife speak. She alone will set this country back 100 years.
Just so black america knows Barrack Obama will never come close to doing for your community what the Clintons have done. It is sad that your people have been in this country all this time and
still let the black man sell you out all the time. for example Rev Wright vs. Obama. Other examples of what is bad for your community are people like Al Sharpton. But, this is the first
person you call is this loud mouth with no credability. I can hear it now, God forbid Hillary should
somehow get the nomination, there would be riots.

Hillary is no longer a fighter as the media has labeled her, she is becomming a party divider and is hoping that something bad will happen to Obama in the next month or so. Yes she will win West Virginia, but she win split the remaining states. Super delegates can put an end to this by making a decision NOW.

******************************

I HOPE HILLARY CLINTON SPLITS THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY WIDE OPEN, TO EXPOSE THEIR CONVOLUTED VOTING RULES, IT ARCANE CAUCUSES, IT THREE LEVELS OF DELEGATES, ITS SUPERDELEGATES AND WORST OF ALL THEIR PERMITTING REPUBLICANS TO VOTE IN THEIR PRIMARY..

IMAGINE PERMITTING YOUR COMPETITION THE REPUBLICANS TO CHOOSE THE CANDIDATE THAT THEY WANT TO RUN AGAINST. WHAT IS THAT, JEEZ… STUPIDITY TO THE NTH DEGREE…

EVEN THE INDEPENDENT SHOULD NOT BE PERMITTED TO VOTE IN THE PRIMARIES… SURE THEY SHOULD DEFINITELY HAVE THEIR VOTE IN A GENERAL ELECTION BUT SINCE THEY ARE NOT REGISTERED DEMOCRATICS THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE THAT RIGHT, IT IS THE CHOICE OF TRUE DEMOCRATS TO CHOOSE THEIR LEADER

AND WHAT IS THIS OTHER HILARIOUS PERMISSION, WHEREIN A REPUBLICAN CAN CHANGE HIS AFFILIATION IN ORDER TO VOTE IN A PRIMARY ELECTION AND THEN CHANGE HIS AFFILIATION FOR THE GENERAL ELECTION….

IF THIS WERE THE THIRD WORLD SYSTEM OF VOTING AMERICANS WOULD BE ALL OVER THAT GOVERNMENT WITH CHARGES OF POSSIBLE FRAUD.

GOD IF NOTHING ELSE THIS DEMOCRATIC PRIMARY HAS EXPOSED THE HUNDREDS OF LOOP HOLES THAT CAN BE USED TO SWAY A PRIMARY…. SAD, VERY VERY SAD!

How did Barack Obama become the front-runner? With little Washington experience, no foreign policy experiece, no record of ever crossing party lines either in Washington or in Illinois, and consistently trailing Clinton for 2 years prior to the first primary.

Thank you for the link, that is only one way , here is another on:

You might be interested to know my close friend, a writer who lives in London tells
me the Muslims are rejoicing at the prospect of Obama as President. If that doesn’t
speak volumes, what does? I agree that he is getting Arab money. My friend said
they send money to Muslim mosques around the country, including Black Muslims (Farrakhan,
eg.) and then the money is contributed in the name of the members. That’s how
the source of the money is disguised. But the media has given him a free ride and
has put a lid on anything that detracts from his candidacy. My question is WHY?
Any thoughts on why the media is doing it?

I ReATHER LIVE INSIDE A CRATER THAN IN A COUNTRY LEAD BY AN ARAB DESCENT!
