Good question. The convention is in late August so that would leave two months for the Democrats to heal the wounds. That’s really not a lot of time when you consider how entrenched the Democrats are in their chosen candidate. Additionally it depends on what the final numbers in delegates and popular votes are and how Florida and michigan change that and how they are factored in. Their nightmare scenario is Obama leading without Florida and Michigan and Hillary leading with them. Right now if you add those two states Obama’s delagate lead is cut to 31 and i ecpect that number to shrink by the end of the primaries. If that happens they are screwed.

Wow, I can’t believe how many of you somehow think Obama is some kind of Manchurian Candidate or something. Do you live in a world of make believe? I suspect that you also believe in ghosts and fortune tellers. You are easily fooled by simple tricks. I presume you were fooled by Bush in the last two elections as well. I guess I am an elitist and as such I vote Obama. As an elitist, I have taken the time to read ALL of Hilary’s proposals and Obama’s proposals (see their websites). I have spent hours considering them. I have listened to detailed interview with each and know a lot about thier backgrounds. I realize that the attacks on Obama (and Clinton) are really quite silly and nothing more than soundbites for poor quality news (i.e. all of the major 24 news stations and many of the networks).

Lets face it, if he were really a secret terrorist would so many important democratic leaders support him. Are these highly educated and experienced insiders somehow fooled? Many of them think he is a superior leader. Look at Bill Richardson- “Obama is a once in a lifetime leader”

I think that if this is not over after today, Obama will need to really begin attacking Hilary’s in the GOP manner that Hilary is attacking him with. This is a shame because she is a good democrat (except in the past 2 months or so) and he will have to tear her appart (as she has done to him). Lets face it, this is a woman who has many dubious relationships, who has made numerous political promises (in exchange for support), she has almost no experience (less than Obama as an elected official!!! - oh wait, don’t forget how she managed to totally blow health care in her husbands first term - I guess failure is experience), and she is a fully artificial character with nothing but politics in her background (she has never done anything except seek political power- ever!!) People like to paint her as somehow fighting for the ‘little guy’. She has never fought for anything but POWER. Once she has it and the Clinton legacy is secure, I suspect she will be an OK leader. She will not reverse the general decline of the USA though, Obama is the only one who can return us to leading the world (by the way, take note of how far the USA is behind other countries like Canada, UK, Australia, Japan, and so on in so many aspects of quality of life - health care, education, technology adoption, and other). I am sure you don’t believe this and will call me an American hater. I love America, but when it is becoming a failing nation, I am not so blind as to stick my head in the sand and say America is in trouble. It is possible to say “I love America” and “America is failing its people”.

If you mess up the chance America has to have a real leader, you deserve what you get, but what about me - why should I suffer for your stupidity.

Lets face facts.
Fact 1: Obama got into the senate and made an earmark for 1 million bucks for his wifes hospital. She got a 200K position change and raise (from 120K to 320K roughly)
Fact 2: Obama made so many earmarks that 7 out of every 10 bucks he earmarked failed in the senate (it looked too much like payments to his campaign contributors so they were removed)
Fact 3: Obama is so tied up in Illinois politics (and the corruption that comes with it) that he even bought a house with Tony ‘The Bag Man’ Resko who was giving him money from an Iraqi-Brittish guy that was found guilty in the worst corruption scandal in France since WWII.
Fact 4: The Obama campaign is trying to win at all costs (because there is no way he can win the general election and he knows it).
Fact 5: Many Obama supporters are hate-filled people that use slurs like it’s ok to be that ugly. They refuse to even discuss anything intelligently with anyone else (that’s not a unity campaign or hope).

The Obama campaign is not what it appears to be and it’s about time the democrats unit or have the extreme left hijack the party and loose election after election (like the current Republican party is).

Wake up Democrats. Do not loose our party to the extremists.

1) I want to pay more taxes and higher taxes.

2) I want the government to enact legislation that absolves me from the personal responsibilities associated with making my own way in life.

3) I want other people to pay for my misfortunes.

4) I want a global strategy of passivist isolationism and appeasement that will lead, ultimately, to a world war scenario as was the case with the presidencies of Woodrow Wilson (D), and Franklin Delano Roosevelt (D).

5) I want to continue with the energy strategy of buying from openly hostile government, thereby unnecessarily increasing the cost of fuels and transportation so goods and services cost more for the end user. As a bonus, select areas of America will remain undisturbed.

Americans are, by and large, moderate to conservative when it comes right down to it.
Complaining about taxes and high prices, then voting for a liberal democrat, is nonsensical. They won’t do it.

When faced with the realization that a weakened national defense exposes not only us, but our civilized friendly allies and mutual economies to radical islam, they won’t be able to vote liberal democrat either.

More and higher taxation directly correlates to loss of personal liberty, while enriching those who did nothing for the enrichment - that’s called theft. Again, voting for a liberal democrat makes no sense here.

Take heart. When the democrats finish flogging themselves, and determine a nominee, the ensuing mono e mono campaign will reveal the undesirable national socialist nature of today’s democrat party.

If it’s Obama, well, he simply hasn’t the demographic base to win the general election.
