Running On Fumes, Clinton Goes For Carolina Comeback
RALEIGH, NC — Hillary Clinton wrapped up a grueling day at the end of a grueling week on the campaign trail with a free-wheeling mini-rally at the state fairgrounds — giving the crowd some hope that she’d be able to pull off what her state director has called “the upset of the century” in North Carolina on Tuesday.
“Three weeks ago we were 39 points behind, and those were the best polls,” she said. “We’ve made some progress, we have a long way to go just to get within the ballpark.”
She faces distinct demographic disadvantages in the Tar Heel state. 35% or more of the Democratic electorate is African American, and North Carolina has as many public universities as any state in the union. Black and highly educated voters have been bastions of support for Sen Obama. But Clinton is targeting veterans and soldiers in the state full of military bases, and hitting as many small towns and rural areas as she can — hoping big margins among white, working class voters can make up the difference.
The New York Senator’s advantage here could just be old fashioned hard work. At this her fifth event of the day, Clinton admitted that she and campaign partner Governor Mike Easley were “running on fumes.”
“But we’re working hard, we’re traveling across this state,” she said. “I’ve lost track of how many towns we’ve been to.”
Another not-so-secret weapon for the Clinton campaign: an equally indefatigable surrogate in President Bill Clinton. “My husband is going to visit every place where 2 or more people gather in North Carolina before Tuesday,” she told the crowd. “This makes him feel like we’re back in Arkansas, where we campaigned across Arkansas all the time.”
Recalling driving across Arkansas during Clinton’s successful 1982 campaign to retake the Governorship he lost in 1980, Clinton said “it was a bit like my campaign. People didn’t think he was ever going to be able to pull it off.”

Regarding your comment, even if Ron Paul may or may not have created frivilous lawsuits in the past that still doesn’t rule out the possibility that this lawsuit is meritorious. The fact that the judge presiding over this case is a Clinton appointee is significant.
And yes, this is a legitimate lawsuit. It is a public record in the California court system (I’m not sure if it’s a federal or state case).
In my opinion, I think the republicans are holding back on this issue so they can use it against Hillary if she is the nominee.

We can all say what we wish in these blogs but when you actually go into the polls are faced with what may be the fate of America, I do hope that you truly consider these factors.
Obama:
Is a leader.
He’s well spoken.
He is the voice of white and black america as well as everything in between.
He’s proved he’s not just in this race to win (like hillary) but to truly expose the political schemes of our American government, and bring us change.
To me he does not show that his is poisoned with Rev Wrights sermons.
He has little experience which is good becuase he hasn’t been poisoned by the same venom that powers mccain and hillary.
So far he has presented feasible economic plans; which at this point to me don’t really matter, seeing as though as actions will speak louder than words. It’s more a character evaluation that conscerns me when picking a president to elect.
He is a strong and political choice.
He has more potential to change America than any president that i’ve seen seen in office.
Let’s not be afraid to change America, but embrace it with our trust and faith; and hope for the potential outcome from this once in a lifetime opportunity.
Looking towards the Democratic convention this summer, it might actually be better for the peace and safety of the country as a whole if Hillary DOES carry off the nomination, rather than Obama.
Think about it: when was the last time you saw spontaneous violence and riots break out when hoards of white, middle-aged women felt offended and disrespected?

I don’t believe Obama should be persecuted for his level of experience nor for remarks that were made by his former “pastor”.
But I do believe hillary has run an unprofessional campaign from the beginning and she is a liar. And mccain is a war hogg with no immediate vision, I do believe his vision is for the long term prosperity of america. Reality is we need a change now and we need to start rebuilding our economy before it gets any worse than it already is.

No I don’t, they wouldn’t take it anyways, why should they, they can have there parents pay for it, while the less fortunate students, try to go to school, hold down a job and do community service in there spare time and are not able to get there studying done.
