Clinton said that she doesn't believe what the economist are saying. It sounds like she's not going to seek advice from the economist once in office, yet during her campaign she said that she would seek the advice of experts when questions are raised about the war in Iraq. I guess she is astute in economics and will go with her own instincts! Hmmmmmm! I didn't know that studying law leads to becoming an expert in economics! Just to let you know, I'm for Sen. McCain! Then I started to think about the state of the economy and it really didn't make much sense because the price of gas is steadily going up. If the tax is dropped that would make gas cheaper and kindle more of a demand for more fuel. If the demand is up so will the price, so the price will continue to go up even with the proposed tax holiday. Where is the savings for ordinary Americans? Think about it! 18 to 20 cents reduced from the $3.62 per gallon would make it $3.44 to $3.42 per gallon. A sudden rush to the pumps to take advantage of the so called savings and the demand goes up and so does the price! This is not a good idea. Also, even if Sen. Clinton is elected president she wouldn't be able to institute this so called tax holiday until next summer not this summer.
