have just read that Obama’s mantra for the weekend is going to be about the gas tax holiday (Marc Ambinder) If this is true, the one thing that ALL of us here can do (even if we don’t like to make phone calls and I admit I don’t), is to spread the word that in 2000 Obama supported the very same program when a state senator. This showed up in an AP report and TM had it up on her blog. When you read the story, it also points out that BO was looking to have it posted that he was responsible for the gas tax holiday in ILL. If this is what he is hanging his hat on, then I say those of us who are unable to go to Indiana or NC, should just send this story to everyone and every news outlet. If Lou Dobbs hasn’t talked about it, he would be a good place to start. Just a thought.

Now, the big question is this: if the version going around today is doctored, who doctored it and who started spreading it around the Internet? Cui bono? Who benefits from a dirty trick against Hillary in the days just before the election, especially one that plays against the white, working-class voters? Hint: Does Hope and Change sound familiar?

What’s Obama’s time table for his better ideas finally benefit us? What’s wrong with putting some money in our pocket before he can even convince people his idea is the better one?
