Clinton Pledges to Work Her Heart Out for Obama

RALEIGH, NC – After spending the day attacking Barack Obama for his opposition to her proposal for a federal gas tax holiday, Hillary Clinton preached a message of unity at the Democratic Jefferson Jackson dinner here tonight – but it wasn’t exactly well received.

Telling a crowd that was fairly evenly divided between Clinton and Obama supporters that “the stakes are too high for us not to pull together as one team,” the New York Senator said “If Senator Obama is the nominee you’d better believe I’ll work my heart out for him.” The vocal Obama supporters drowned her out with chants of their candidates name.

As the chants subsided, she said “I hope Senator Obama would say the very same thing” — drawing no real reaction.

If their loud reaction is any indication, those same vocal Obama supporters weren’t too pleased with popular governor Mike Easley’s recent endorsement of Sen Clinton either. The crowd erupted in boos as Clinton thanked Easley for his support. After waiting for them to quiet down, Clinton said “that’s the great thing about our country, you can support whomever you want to support.”

The 5,000 Democrats in attendance reacted much more favorably to Clinton’s kind words for her former rival, North Carolina’s own John Edwards – whose endorsement both remaining Democrats have actively sought. “What a fighter North Carolinians and working Americans everywhere have in John Edwards,” she said.

“John ran with compassion and conviction. And his courageous fight to end poverty is a fight I will see to the finish. I will appoint a cabinet level position that will be solely and fully devoted to ending poverty as we know it in America.”

She even gave a shout-out to Edwards’ wife Elizabeth – who has been said to favor Clinton over Obama because of her health care plan, but is unlikely to endorse before Tuesday’s primary – calling her a “true champion for universal health care.”

“I want to thank Elizabeth Edwards for her passion for ending discrimination by the insurance companies and for standing up against John McCain’s inadequate and radical health care plan,” she said.

There WAS some oblique criticism of her Democratic opponent; casting herself as a doer not a talker, Clinton said “We’ve had enough of the talk and the rhetoric. That’s not going to solve our problems. What we need now is action.

” But she focused most of her ire on the GOP — sparing neither George Bush or John McCain.

“George Bush has dug us into a very deep hole, and we need a President who knows what it takes, and has what it takes, to get us out and move us forward again
,” she said. And of Bush’s potential Republican replacement, Clinton said “he looks at the hole George Bush has dug us into and says give me a bigger shovel.”

obama is a left wing elitist who is wraped in a pretty half black package, but America is not going to buy it again in 2008! America did not buy it in 1984 or 2004!
VOTE HILLARY ‘08

She can’t catch a break can she? No matter what she does instead of seeing it for what it really is you people twist it into something vial. I really feel sorry for you. This woman is incredibly intelligent and she is going to make a helluva president. Give it a shot, I dare you.

If Hillary loses the nomination she says that she will work her heart out for Obama! What a line of crap! Anyone that really thinks she is telling the truth must still think there is a tooth fairy. She won’t get the ‘08 nomination and will likely vote for McCain in her quest for another try in ‘12. Hillary is one counterfeit politician…

Comment by Larry from LA

Hillary using insincere tatic number 150 in this campaign. She will campaign her heart out for Obama if he should get the nomination. Right after she rips the skin from his bones and helps give McCain more ammunition against Obama. Let’s see Phoney and Hillary Clinton are one in the same.

She lies so easily, I wonder why some people can’t see through her BS.

There is “no way” that the media (MSNBC, NBC, CNN, and CBS), the left wing controlled Democratic Party, or the blacks (who are voting for a black face) will allow that to happen. obama and another Democratic defeat in November will be blamed on Hillary, and not on the real cause. The Democratic party keep nomminating these left wing losers who do not connect with middle class America like Mondale, Kerry, and now obama!

Hillary is a true leader, and she has the class to pull together as a team in the event that she loses. I am voting for her, but I can’t honor her request to vote for Obama if she loses. Obama is a liar, he lied about not knowing Wright’s beliefs. Furthermore, I think Obama shares Wright’s anti-white beliefs. I will never vote for a racist, and neither will most of the nation. If the DNC is so weak as to be extorted into a Obama nomination, they will give the presidency to McCain.

Wow, nobody there to cheer Hillary. That is the best news of the night. The democrats are all behind Obama. Let Hillary give Peter Paul back the money that they stole from him. A fraud ripping off a fraud.

Christy, the only racist is you. Your the type of person who would say, my best friend is black. Grow up. You don’t want to vote for Obama because you just can’t see a black man in the White House. For you to call Obama a liar and knowing that Hillary is nothing but lies, then you are sad. I hope one day, the person who really helps you is a black person. That way, you can put your foot right up your you know what.

Well she shouldve comeback with… “Well, just for that, I change my mind, I wouldnt help him”
This just goes to showcase how OBAMA supporters act like spoiled children ..
And lets not get started on how they play the RACE CARD constantly as long as it benefits them ..
Rev Wright and his anti american racist rants ….
Obama said for months he wouldnt denounce this guy because he was family, then Obama starts to fall in the polls and now all of a sudden OBAMA denounces him … WHAT A JOKE …

Hello, earth to Hil lie ry, you will ask anything to try to get the vote. I am sure that you believe that people think that you would support Obama if he wins. right. You are going to spend the four years of his first term beating up Bill for helping you loss and the next four years of his second term trying to hope that people have forgetten all the lies that you have told. Just may by 2012 Michelle will be running for President. wow. That would be real sniper fire.

Hillary might fight her heart out for him if he is the nominee… But I will fight my heart out for McCain if Obama is the nominee! The lying racist Obama will never be my President!

Comment by Bob

I have grown so frustrated with the immature, rude, and hypocritical Obama supporters. I am in shock that his resume is so thin that whenever any one is asked, “What has he accomplished?” no one can point to anything specific. It is a joke. Now, we are learning that he sits in a church listening to a pastor shout anti-American and racial hate for 20 years, and gives thousands of dollars to it on top of that. He has said that he has been more than a pastor to him. Then, in one speech
says, “He can’t disown him because he can’t disown the black community.” And in another press conference after Rev. Wright (as well as other pastors and friends) tells the world that he made that speech for political reasons and he had to say what he said. Then, all of the sudden, Obama publically changes his relationship with Rev. Wright. What does this say about Obama’s judgment, his integrity, his motives? Hmmm must be worried about that blue collar vote! Then, we learn about his close relationship with Bill Ayes, the terrorist, that in very recent days says he doesn’t regret bombing the Pentagon, Capital and wished he had done more. And let’s not forget about Tony Rezko! What about Michelle Obama’s anti-American remarks as well as Obama’s arrogant “bitter” comments behind closed doors. I could go on and on and continue to ask his supporters, tell me one specific thing Obama has accomplished and still . . . Yet, these are the supporters shouting out hatred because, they like Rev. Wright, view the election like a game and do not really understand the necessary qualifications and importance of the highest office of our nation. It appears they just do not care about our country.

Comment by Tom

What a typical reaction from immature supporters which are reflective of the immaturity of the candidate and his campaign organizers.

Let’s face it, they’re both politicians that talk alot. But Hillary has cojones, strength, and is ready to hit the floor running. Obama is confused and unseasoned which is demonstrated in the way he expresses “on the job learning” by echoing her words in debates and responding to her ads with similar one instead of something unique.

The dream ticket is still Clinton/Obama. She may very well beat McCain. He absolutely will not.

Get Hillary in as Prez and Obama as VP. He needs to learn more. This is the only way democrats will control the WH for the next 12-16 years.

Comment by Price Peter Ighodaro

Hillary Clinton can say anything to win. We all know that she really do not mean what she said rather only trying to get some respite from the Obama supporters and undecided.
This is despiration to say the least.
Further, Hillary Clinton and her supporters should get real. Democracy remains a game of numbers.

Comment by Price Peter Ighodaro

I have followed closely the US Democratic Party presidential nomination race. I have also, listened carefully both Senators Clinton and Barack Obama as they present their case and try to outwit the other by hammering on any perceived flip in the others presentation or claim.

I make bold to say here that Senator Barack Obama is by miles the better candidate. He has shown that he can carry all Americans and people around the world along. He is the most truthful and articulate of both candidates. He has also shown the most restrain in his utterances.

Senator Hillary Clinton and her supporters are becoming more and more unbearable in their derogatory claim and wilful disrespect to the so called “small states” by stressing at any given opportunity that her winning the primaries in some so called “big states or democratic base” gives her the birth right to the ticket. What arrogance and flagrant disrespect for her opponent! Is she trying to change the rule of the game while the game is going on? Is that an insight to “her kind of judgement?” Is democracy no longer a game of numbers? People will only respect and vote for a candidate who win the ticket by election and not selection.

Also, I believe it is high time for Hillary Clinton to stop her divisive attitude and racial undertones. She should come out clean and bold and say what she and her husband have been saying all along in poorly selected undertones. Democrates will always be democrats whoever wins the ticket. If eventually Barack Obama wins the ticket, I believe that all those democrats that made Clinton win the primaries in her demographically favoured states will NOT turn their back on the party. They are not republicans and as such will vote for Barack Obama come November.

Finally, in awaiting the super delegates do the needful come June 3rd, a little piece of advice for both candidates and the entire Democratic Party system – they should always remember that “the day you start to insult yourself others will join you”.

Perhaps Price, enough “Hillary Supporters” will switch over to McCain. In that case they may cancel out the Democrat voter fraud numbers and at least it’ll be a fair election.

Hiilary “work her heart out” for Obama??? I nearly peed myself! Hillary doesn’t even have a heart! Maybe in her fantasy land (let’s call it Oz), she’ll be able to find a heart (and a soul) when she meets the Wizard (will call that her concession speach). I’m so sick of Hillary. Her whole life is lie, pander, pander, lie, get a cup of French vanilla cappucino (that’s not elitist, right?), lie, pander, pander, lie, pander, lie, pander, pander, lie, pander, blame, lie, pander…

Barack Obama, is un-electable, and if the Democratic Party is so intimidated or worried about the party that they ignore the middle americans voice..then we will go to the Republican Party and vote for McCain. I’ve heard many say the women will come back in four years, Hillary’s supporters are not all women and I would advise them not to hold thier breathe. The face of the democratic party isn’t very nice.

Hillary has proven to be a courageous fighter and in finding her voice she has found the voice of millions of Americans. She has proven she will go anywhere and talk with anyone, everyone talks about how she went on O’Riely, the lions dens, well from were I sit she went into the Lion’s Den when she intervieved with Blabber Mouth Oberman, who has spoken nothing but hate and contempt for her this entire election forgetting that she is a former First Lady.
CNN, MSMBC, have been bias in thier coverage.

Obama supporters have shown her a total lack of respect but then with leaders like Obama and Jerimiah Wright can we expect anything different.

I’d also like to mention that Hillary is not responsible for the division of the democratic party, the buck stops with Howard Dean, by not solving the Fl/ MI issure. If Obama is selected as the democratic nominee without the voters of FL. and Michaigan I will consider him illegitimate…The Kennedy’s and Kerry should have vetted Obama before launching him to the National Stage…but they didn’t and the more American’s find out about him the more the want him to fo away.l

It is my opinion that Obama is dangerous to the national security of this country..and I urge the voters of NC and IN…to vote for Hillary, and STOP OBAMA…

God Bless America

Hillary08/McCain08

Hillary Clinton may be willing to campaign for Obama - should he win the democratic party nomination but WE will not. When we see the lies and the coverups perpetrated by the DNC on behalf of Obama we will NOT vote for him for the sake of the DNC.
The conduct of the DNC throughout this campaign has been abominable and unforgiveable, they do not represent the party of the previous democrats, and we can no long be a party to their devisive ways.
When I say WE - I speak for my family and friends, and my guess is - that many other democrates feel the same way.

(Obama Smokes Rock???) You are a literal racist. I find some of these comments to be appalling and outrageous. I am for McCain but I can see why some Blacks may switch to McCain if Hllary is elected. You don’t want one minute of the possibility of a Black man entering the White House. We have had Condeleeza Rice (Secretary of State) and Colin Powell (Joint Chiefs of Staff). The Democrats are hiding their racism behind the fact they want to vote for Hillary Clinton…when really you are true racists. Name one Black person you have had in in an Executive position…None.

You have covered your racism by throwing pennies at Blacks and hispanics yet do you really respect them? I don’t think so. Otherwise, you would have had a Black in some sort of position. The Replubicans are not the racists the Democrats are. You alll hate Barack Obama because he is Black…not experience or Rev Wright. Barack Obama should not be attacked for stupid things Rev. Wright said. The thought of a “Black” man sitting in the “white House” is making you numb…be honest. You are losing your minds. Hillary supporters are really “Barack-haters”. Come on Black people we will treat you like you deserve to be treated not like Democrats who don’t really care about you at all.

Last point…Democrats will never see Democrats they don’t even recognize that bad comments about Barack effects you to your soul. But they don’t care because they are racists!!!! Here is Clinton offering to help unify the Dems if she can and they are still dogging her.
Personally, If I were Clinton i would tell all the Dems, “thanks for nothing”!
Obama supporters threatening riots! What a stupid thing to say to Americans of all race ,creed and political affiliation! Americans don’t take kindly to threats! That is a wrong move!!!!!!
What happens then? I’ll tell you.
People get hurt. Property gets destroyed and nothing is solved!
Tensions get worse, not better!
Shove the threats. It’s an election, not a frickin’ war!
The whole Democratic party will self destruct, while the rest of us saty out of it!
Go ahead and riot!
You’ll look foolish!

Comment by Patricia

H. Clinton was making a point of party unity because the pundits were talking about the 2 out of 3 who believe the party is being divided by her staying in. The Obama supporters should not have rallied during the speech.
Peter Drier has an article on how Clinton camp gets their dirt on Obama and Sidney Blumenthal’s efforts to keep the names of Wright and Ayres in the news as long as they can to hurt Obama. -Huffington Post.
I think it was CNN that aired a video about how an an illegal organization of Women for Women Voters is negatively making calls to Black NC voters and they are connected to the Clinton camp.
I don’t really care which one wins the election, but it would bother me more to see Clintons win with negative tactics like these, than to have Obama win with Wright in his background.

It will come down to superdelegates, and they know these candidates better than any of us do.

Don’t blame Obama and you people really need to stop calling Obama a racist. He owe the same white people his life. If it wasn’t for a two white women and one white man, Obama would not be where he is at right now. When you talk like this, you sound more racist then anything. If it really bothers you to see a black man in the White House, then move to Canada. See if Hillary’s health care plan is working out there since you are a Hillary supporter, only because she is white.

He and his followers are starting something within our country that we don’t need right now, and that is a race war. Lets vote on what they say, and now how they say it. Even if you believe we never should have gone there in the first place, that won’t help anything now.
If we start asking the Iraqi government to cover our war expenses for our security efforts, you will see how quick they get their act together.
Iraq is reporting an oil revenue surplus. We should expect contributions.
It relieves the toll on American taxpayers and it will light a fire under the Iraqi government to hurry the political process.
It will be a lot cheaper to fund their own security forces than it will be to fund our!
That is the pressure we can negotiate.
We’ll get out of there a lot sooner.

The American people vote for whom they beleive will best represent their views and beliefs. How is it possible that in america the superdelegates can come in and change the course of history. Why does the democratic party feel that they know better than the voting public. I think it is the democratic philosophy of knowing what is best for you. At this point the democrats might as well think about the future race in 8 years. The dems are so divided that they can’t possibly win this November. The blacks won’t vote for Clinton and the sane blue collar dems and independents won’t vote for Obama. You see we have a third solution here. John McCain is half republican and half democrat. He is the only candidate that will cross the great divide between the republicans and democrats.

There just are not enough rich far left elite democrats to elect Obama. Since we did not find out just what kind of man he is in time he will win the nomination but lose the general election.
The democrats are doomed. Better luck next time.

Obama did campaign here. He ran a national ad for two weeks prior to our election. Al Sharpton was here Jan 7th campaigning at an NAACP meeting, where he was encouraging black voters to vote in our primary on Jan 29th.
Obama held fund raising events here too.
Obama’s name was on our ballots.
We have 50 states, not 48. Maybe the DNC should have tried a fine or the same as the RNC did. They counted half the delegates and all the popular votes. It was a political move to change our voting date. It was not the voters who did it!
The bill to move the date was introduced by a Dem. Crist (R), only signed it.

I notice many people pointing out thier race and age and what not before commenting, but lets try to speak as one synchronized voice of America.

I can’t believe how some people could be so uneducated that they would actually choose ignorance over logic. It’s completely stupid to think that because you don’t know much about a candidate running for president that they aren’t studying us as americans, and trying to configure how can make your lives a little more easier. Obama’s perspective on politics will change America in a better way than we could ever imagine. The decision is easy…either we stay the same misguided country with hillary or mccain or we at least have a reason to hope for something even if doesn’t prove to be better, something different and a new approach that seems to be a bit more accomadating to the higher percentile of middle class americans.

Don’t let ignorance scare you into thinking that the economy cannot be rebuilt and we can’t once again be the flourishing as well as dominating country we once were. We need change, not the same circle of politicians that keep many of us trapped and scared to speak out.

Thank you Obama for fighting for a change in the White House.

Just as we’ve fallen together, the day will come that we shall rise.

Obama 08′ Yes WE WILL!!!!

The start of the election he did well, because people gave him a chance. Now he blew that chance and so his supporters want to force him on us. He has a bad view of the white american community. Of working class. Hell, I think he has a bad opinion of Americans in general. He went to the 2 groups who aren’t old enough to remember or are to racist to think. I don’t think the threats of another war in our country will sit well with the majority of the working class whitr americans. Maybe he should talk to his supporters, or maybe he encourages it.

American women,

Dick Morris is a snake. Even if she won he would say she didn’t. Google Dick Morris and see just what kind of snake he is.

To Bruce’
I truely beleive that some Obama supporters weren’t around when Bill Clinton was President or they were too young to experience the prosperity we had then. We were well respected around the world and when he left office we had a surplus. I believe she will be a better President than he was. Why are some of you supporting a candidate that has been in the senate only 2 years and has very few accomlishments. I really can not understand it. Our country at this moment can not afford a President that does not have the experience nor the passion that Hillary has to move this country forward. She has the cojones and excuse my French that Obama does not have to stand up for what she believes is the right thing to do.He can not even handle to debate her anymore . She had the courage to go on Fox News and she was brilliant. Some of you were outraged because she did that interview. Well, that shows you that she is ready to confront people that do not share her views ,that is how you start uniting people . How is Obama going to be the uniter he says he is if he can not handle going on a one on one like she did? How is he going to sit down with World Leaders to negotiate important iproblems if he does not have what it takes to debate her because he is afraid of not doing well. These are questions we have to ask each other. Shame on those who booed her in that event that shows everyone that they are not willing to reach out to her supporters to unite the party. After all the insults and put downs, how do you expect to get our support for Obama if he is the nominee?

JoAnne, both candidates agreed. They both had ads. You just can’t come in and want to change the rules. Be fair about it. Don’t blame Obama. If it was the other way around, do you really think Hillary would want those votes counted? I agree, all votes should be counted. They should never have moved the dates up. I don’t even know why they did it. And this talk about Al Sharpton and Dick Morris talking about riots, Rush was the first one to talk about Riots. He started it when Obama had a very big lead over McCain. Then Rush starts his racist yapping and talks about riots during the Ohio election. Wanted also all Republicans to vote for Hillary. Rush is a disgrace. He should be lucky that they didn’t give him some jail time.

So that “different” approach of lying, of acting, as his pastor said, like any other politician, of raising taxes, of idiotic energy and environmental laws, of mouthing platitudes like “HOPE, “CHANGE” will help the “middle class” how?

Dick Morris planned these riots long before Sharpton and Jackson jumped on the bandwagon.
he predicted riots in the streets to O’Reilly, Wallace and Hannity at separate times, months ago!
Please keep in mind he was Obama’s cousin Odinga’s campaign consultant last year, for Odinga’s election in Kenya.
That election was also contested and violence broke out! Coincidence?
If you think it is a coincidence, check out Morris’ connection to Zimbabwe and ODM.
That election was contested and violence has broken out! Another coincidence?

America’s own blood,
Keep dreaming. He insulted the very base of the party. He hates America and all it stands for. What Obama and people like you want is to change the very essence of what we (Americans) are. And it won’t work. He couldn’t win the white house no matter how hard he tried. We will not let the far left liberals take control of this country.
