Hillary Tells Voters to Bet on the Filly

LOUISVILLE, KY — If the first rule of running for office is “never wear a silly hat,” there’s surely an exception for Kentucky Derby Week — and Hillary Clinton took full advantage outside her state headquarters today.

Arriving to greet volunteers and supporters, the New York Senator donned a flowered hat while shaking hands outside, where there was only one small camcorder present — though she ditched the hat before coming inside and facing the phalanx of network cameras.

While she said wished she could be in town for the Derby on Saturday, Clinton had some instructions for volunteers going to the race in her stead — telling them “I want everybody to place a little money on the filly.”

Comment by BRUCE

I see what is going on. The DNC and the elected superdelegates are pulling a coup d’ etat against the Clintons’ Democratic party stronghold. Howard Dean and the DNC are willing to nomminate a sure loser in November to protect the “black” vote. Hillary’s supporters will not forget this in November! John McCain will win 40 to 48 states in November!

Hilly the filly.

Is that anything like JoJo the dog faced boy?

David Shed,
“Who would vote on the old grey mare”? About 15 million plus!

Comment by BRUCE

To the obama supporters: As of MAY.
If you calculate the distribution of Electoral votes needed to become president during a general election (using the states that Hillary and obama won to date). You get:
Hillary: 236 + (Florida 27 and Michigan 17) = 280 obama: 202

As you see, Hillary has the 270 (actually 280) out of 538 needed to become president in the general election. Mr. obama is winning a lot of states with 4 or less Electoral votes and he has not won “any” of the states the Democrats need to win in November! If he can not win them now, how can he win them in November with obama getting around 30% of the white vote? Can you say Superdelegates! They should and must select the candidate with the best chance of winning in November or the democrats need to get use to saying, President McCain!

Comment by Mike

Come on Bruce, thats old math and it dosn’t reflect what the general will look like

Comment by American Woman

Bruce, you are right on with your statement. I would just ad his starting out with two sure states..Fla. and MI…will repay the DNC in kind come November.

obama is getting 30% of the white democratic voters and 90% of the black democratic voters. 121 million people voted in 2004, and obama would get let’s say 45% (15% black and 30% WHITE) which is 54 million votes. John McCain gets 67 million plus votes!

Comment by Mike

and as far as 2012 goes, I think america will be done with the Clintons, Can’t say for sure but pretty sure.

Go Hillary!!!
IF Obama steals the nomintion by blocking FL & MI votes - I - and millions like me will have to vote for McCain. OBama will need FL & MI to win the general - but - if he counts them now - he will loose the nomination. Either way - he cannot and will not win!
The superdelegates want to win - that is all they care about - and obama will need more than just the all black vote and rich white folks - he will need ALL Americans - and FL & MI to win.

Comment by Andylit

The question is not whether the Banshee will campaign for BO in the general. The question is will it matter?

For the last 2 months the BO apologists have been squawking that the Wright comments were taken out of context. That idiotic argument was thrown under the bus along with the good Rev Wright this weekend.

The man confirmed, on live national television, that he is indeed as big a nut case as the out of context snippets made him look like.

The question many are asking right now is, why did BO throw him under the bus now? BO claims the Press Club comments were outrageous, etc. Why are they outrageous now but they weren’t bad enough to ditch Wright a few weeks ago? If anything, they were milder than the comments from the various sermon clips.

BO waited too long and has lost even more credibility.

Comment by Bella in Florida

I truely find it very odd that that Rev. Wright’s parishioners have not come out to defend the old man. I believe it was all set up because Obama’s poll numbers are dropping.Let’s not be fooled by this man. He is not a fighter like Hillary, he moves to slow. He should have come out months ago to denounce his pastor ,but he chose to do it now before the Primaries in North Carolina and Indiana. It’s going to be very sad for all Democrats to lose in November against McCain if he is the nominee of our party.

Molly you have it absolutely correct.
Short term win for Obama is a lost in the GE for the Democrats.
FL and MI count Hillary Clinton wins, and win the GE.

Voters in prior states I assure you would not have voted for Obama had they known what we all know now about the Junior Senator. These voters will certainly migrate to Mc Cain.
I have no clue what the super delegates are thinking if they really think Obama can win in November, it is clearly not possible. 40% of Clinton voters will go to McCain, too much passion with her supporters for her to vote any other way.
DNC agenda is flawed and will fail if the push Obama down the middle america voters.

They are coming out. There have been a number of interviews with parishioners. They are hot, very hot. Some have commented that BO needs to find another church.

Please be very clear about why he was in that church. You have two choices.

1. He believes all garbage Wright preaches.

2. He got his butt kicked in his first campaign by a former Panther and decided he needed to be in a high profile black church.

Take you pick. They both stink.

Peter F. The discovery will expose an ongoing cover-up of the campaign finance crimes and the obstructions of justice directed by Hillary Clinton with the help of Bill Clinton and former DNC Chair Ed Rendell. The cover-up rivals Watergate in its corruption of each branch of government and the media.Since the media still refuses to cover Senator Clinton’s involvement in the largest campaign finance fraud case in U.S. history, Paul will report on much of the news himself in this historic landmark case. For news and information on this case, you can visit PaulvClinton.com

She will help, but not as many as you think will follow.

McCain may not be RWR, but BO is most certainly not JFK.

One thing to keep in mind about BO. In virtually every state primary, his pre-vote polls and his exit polls have been substantially higher than his actual vote totals. This means that a whole lot of people are lying about voting for him.

It falls back to the ugly specter of race. The NeoLibs may say they are ready for a black President, but quite a few of them are voting otherwise.

Now, the surge is most certainly working. US casualties are way down, and Iraqi casualties are even lower. The last thing they want to do is create the opening for McCain to exploit.

And, they know they are going to get slaughtered by the 527’s over the conduct of Reid, Pelosi, Durbin, etc.

I have a friend who claims to be half bulimic. He’ll eat it, but he ain’t giving it up.

BO’s entire strategy has been to present himself as something beyond the ordinary politician. He has tried to paint himself as not corrupt, not beholden to special interests, above the usual slime pit. A man of principal, honesty and convictions.

It worked in the beginning, but it is unraveling. The Wright fiasco is a part of it. As the dust settle and people look at the facts, they see that nothing at all had changed to merit throwing the Rev under the bus. Except the poll numbers.

As the election moves forward, so does the Rezco trial. And so do the revelations as to the depth of his relationship with the Chicago Machine bag man.

Now everybody is regergiating it. news flash for Hillary supporters, Obamas’ winning because he was more appealing, less baggage, and he didn’t start out with half the country not liking him, not because he’s pretty.

I don’t know if the Banshee camp hit it, but it has been said all along.

What you say is mostly correct. However, part of it is because he’s pretty. He has IT. JFK had IT. Slick Willie had a twisted version of IT.

All you need to do is look at those college rallies. Half the girls are screaming and swooning like he’s a rock star.

TO ALL THE OBAMA SUPPORTERS:
Since the media is refusing to reveal/report the Paul vs Clinton fraud case in court right now, we need to create our own movement and flood every blog on CNN and every blogging website on the World Wide Web with information from the case regardless of what the topic is. For those that don’t know - Google Paul vs Clinton and hold on to your shirt with what you read!!
For those of you who think this case has been thrown out or is irrelevant:

“In the landmark civil fraud case against Bill Clinton in Los Angeles, where the former President is charged with defrauding a Hollywood dot com millionaire to help Hillary Clinton obtain more than $1.2 million from him for her 2000 Senate campaign, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Aurelio Munoz ruled on Friday, April 25, 2008 that Hillary Clinton would not be required to testify in a sworn deposition as a material witness in the case until AFTER the November election!.” (paulvclinton.com)

Here is the kicker - the judge is a Bill Clinton appointee!

OBAMANACS UNITE!!! LET’S DO THIS!!

Mike, I don`t wish for any misfortune to any of them, but if it is their choice, oh well.

Well I wouldn’t wish it on her either. She’s probably a decent person with good intentions, but like her husband just a lot of poor execution. and then the blame game will start all over again.
