MoveOn launches “mission accomplished” anti-McCain ad
McCain + 100 years in Iraq comments + President Bush’s approval rating = Democratic Victory
That is the equation MoveOn.org is hoping will work out for them this fall and they are planning to spend $1 million in May alone to hammer that message home. The liberal advocacy group is launching it’s newest ad, “Candles,” in Iowa and New Mexico tomorrow as part of the effort–on the fifth anniversary of President Bush’s now infamous “Mission Accomplished” speech. The spot, above, comes on the heels of a new DNC ad which also hits on McCain’s 100 years in Iraq comments.
“Voters need to know Senator McCain would continue President Bush’s failed policies - in Iraq and elsewhere. A vote for him is basically a vote for a third Bush term.” said MoveOn Executive Director Eli Pariser.
The RNC quickly responded this morning, blasting the group and calling on Barack Obama to denounce the group.
“MoveOn.org is attempting to smear Senator McCain just like it smeared General Petraeus. MoveOn.org is joining Barack Obama and the DNC in maliciously misquoting John McCain,” RNC spokesman Alex Conant said. “At nearly every event, Obama bemoans the ‘negative tone’ of politics, even while groups that support him are now running negative ads. Now, Obama should prove his rhetoric is more than ‘just words’ and stand up to MoveOn.org.”
UPDATE—Pariser responds to the RNC: “Senator John McCain’s position on Iraq has been clear-he intends to keep our troops there for decades. This is not a one-time gaffe. It is the truth about John McCain’s and George Bush’s reckless foreign policy.”

Bunch of blow-hards!
They are just about as relevant as that slanderous, Dick Morris!
It looks to me like the dems have learned well and their gonna do a little “swiftboating” of their own. Whats that saying? Oh I remember now, WHATS GOOD FOR THE GOOSE IS GOOD FOR THE GANDER.
Let’s get ready to RUMBLE!!!!!! Time for some swiftboating of Hillary and Obama. They probably would have started by now, but are buried under the pile of content.
We elect two Republican fanatics from the oil industry, and seem genuinely suprised when we wake up to a find a country where. . .
Gas prices are at a record high.
Oil prices are at a record high.
The oil companies are making the largest profits in history.
We have endless war in the Middle East.
The middle class is being destroyed.
The environment is being destroyed.
The country is $10 trillion in debt.
There’s no national leadership on renewable energy initiatives.
Mission accomplished.
Let us not forget that McCain made anti-American confession in 1968.
I do not hear anybody saying he is UNAMERICAN.
I can not believe that the U.S. Citizens are stupid enough to believe in only what the MEDIA wants them to hear. Rev. Wright has not hurt Sen. Obama, the NEWS MEDIA has by playing the snippets with out the lead-up. The NEWS MEDIA and PUPLIC SCHOOLS been telling us lie after lie. Most Americans do not even know who the first elected president of the United States of America is. They do not know who the first Black American was to be invited to the White House or Who invited him. Most U.S. Citizens think Theodore Roosevelt was a republican, when the fact is he quit the party after a fall out with the party leaders (how I wish McCain would do the same). The U.S. Citizens, for the most part, are to lazy to look for the facts, the want to be told what to believe in. They don’t even realize that this Nation is being passively occupied, are language and are borders are being changed.
No other country would allow protest under a foreign flag for the rights of people who have entered illegally.
What a person eats is not an indications of their laurels.
The cut of a person’s clothes rating of their social morals.
The length of a persons hair does not their habits indicate.
The color of a person’s skin does not the person make.
To find what is behind the eyes, a question you must ask, dear.
Is it change you embrace or change you fear?
May the Eternal guide and protect you on the winding road of life. May Mother Terra calm and soothe your mind through the change of living.
—CVP—
You do realize of course, that the ad is true and played McCain’s words just as he said them. And McCain thinks that Katrina was an act of God against the gays (that is of course because someone he knows and who supports him said it–that’s the way it works in the Republican world at least) I just hope my former Baptist or Methodist pastors don’t go off their nut and commit some criminal act.. I could be put in jail for it.

Things I have learned during this campaign season:
In a race that includes a former First Lady of the United States and a multimillionaire Republican senator rumored to share up to eight residences with his wife, the black guy from Chicago is unforgivably elitist.
Racism in America is caused primarily by black Chicago preachers.
The guy who keeps getting confused over the relationship between Iraq, Iran, and al Qaeda is the foreign policy expert.
The guy who goes to campaign stops on his wife’s private jet aircraft is the most down-to-earth.
The guy who changed his stance on tax cuts, Roe v. Wade, immigration, gun control, the confederate flag, torture, public financing, and his own anti-earmark rhetoric is the “straight talker”.
People in the heartland don’t like it when you call them bitter, but they do like it when you explain to them that they’re too dumb to understand issues more important than whether or not they like to be called bitter.
Arugula is the measure of a man.
Bowling is the measure of a man.
Orange juice is the measure of a man.
Flag pins are the measure of a man.
Success in Iraq consists of any reduction in violence, except when violence increases that’s good too.
A recession is only a recession if you call it one.
Bill Kristol, Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, Karl Rove, Maureen Dowd, David Brooks, David Broder, Charles Krauthammer and Bob Novak are all intensely interested in giving advice to the Democratic candidates because they just want to be helpful.
There are people in this world dumb enough to believe every one of these things.

Far left radical Move on . org has endorsed Obama, not Hillary. She’s not radical enough for them.
The “Ten Most Wanted Corrupt Politicians” for 2007 (from JudicialWatch.org)
The list mentions Hillary Clinton (D-NY), John Conyers (D-MI), Larry Craig (R-ID), Diane Feinstein (D-CA), Rudy Giuliani (R-NY), Mike Huckabee (R-AR), I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby, former Chief of Staff to Vice President Dick Cheney, Barack Obama, (D-IL) Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), and Harry Reid (D-NV).
And we keep electing them anyway.
Obama the Magnificent, the all-knowing seer!
If Obama can’t recognize racist views, anti-American views, after 20 years of hearing racial and anti-american rantings from his church and pastor, what makes you think he will be able to lead all Americans by making quick decisions that will affect us long after he is gone. He wasn’t able to keep his children from being brainwashed by his racist mentor, he won’t be able to shelter America from terriorists or understand what is good for America, until after he is out of office. Get someone in now, before it’s too late. Someone who already understands the problems All Americans face against global terrorism, American security, and the immigration fiasco.

The media played ranting Rev. Wright’s whole speech the other day because Obamabots like you
whined and cried over the G-d dam- america video clip, and all the other snippits, they played.
How interesting when we heard Rev Wright in all his glory is still preaching his hate of America.
“Senator Obama understands that the serious concerns facing average Americans must transcend partisan games if we are to rise to the challenges of today and tomorrow. He is a strong, committed and inspirational leader, ideally suited to bring together Democrats, independents and Republicans,” Henry said.
Brad Henry, Governor of Oklahoma, must be talking about the average American racist, the average anti-American citizen, the average American terrorist, like Rev Wright and Ayers.

MoveOn.org is a bad word to the real world.
Bunch of blow-hards!
They are just about as relevant as that slanderous, Dick Morris!
——————————————-
Dick Morris was a campaign advisor for Obama’s radical, insane cousin Odingo, in Kenya.
You never hear that on the news.
google search Dick morris, Obama, and Odingo.
I think we have found Obama’s running mate in Tony Zirkle, congressional candidate in Indiana. He could easily replace Rev Wright, after all, it took Obama 20 years to realize he was in a racist atmosphere filled with anti-American followers.
Obama is either a lying, racist, anti-american, or the stupidest person that ever hit Chicago.
Obama, Clinton, and McCain are getting alot of questions about high gasoline prices.
TV news people are talking about possible $4/gallon gas this summer.
Environmental extremism has alot to do with these high prices.
Global Warming is a hoax and a false religion the roots of which come from some liberal political groups
hatred of capitalism and freedom and modern life as we know it for polluting the world and the
atmosphere and a false belief that this is causing worldwide climate change.
Most rational minded scholars, scientists and meteorologists do not share this radical politically motivated
view of climate change and make a convincing scientific argument against it.
Lawsuits filed by so-called environmentalists against every effort by energy providers to bring
fuel to market have driven up consumer prices to record levels and will go even higher.
Please understand that you can combat this trend by becoming educated on this subject and demand
that politicians denounce Global Warming and put a stop to dangerous environmental extremism
and environmental lawsuits against energy providers. Do a Google search on Global Warming Debunked
to get started. Write letters to your school board and let them know you don’t want your children
indoctrinated with only one side of the global warming debate. Democrats attack energy providers
for making a profit instead of admitting their own extreme and false environmental ideology is
the true cause of todays high costs of doing business. Democrats are against oil, natural gas,
coal, and nuclear energy development in our own country. Make no mistake about it, Democrats
are enemies of energy producers and the buck stops at their desks for our current economic situation.
Please keep this and the price of your fuel in mind when voting this November.

Someone said ‘McCain made anti-American confession in 1968″.
Yes, but the difference is that McCain did this with a gun pointed at his head in a Vietnamese prison camp. When McCain got back to the US, he didn’t refer to the Vietnamese as “just like family” and “my spiritual advisor”. Also, McCain didn’t have a Vietnamese prison camp guard marry him and baptise his children and he didn’t write a book based on a Vietnamese sermon.

Hillary will do what it takes to restore order in the Democrat Party and in this country.
These Obama people will learn to celebrate their rightful place in the Democrat Party and America.
Hillary will not tolerate their bad attitudes or disrespect for her and her people in the party.
Things will begin to CHANGE back to the way they were with Hillary in charge!
Good will be Good again and people like Wright will always be Wrong.
There will be no Obama-nation abomination under Hillary’s domination.
Pat- I have listen you and your right on target comments for years- Thanks for saying what other are too scare to say.

I am a person of diverse background(color) and I teach school. Psychologist say that student learn better when they see their own face(teacher of same race) maybe this country would be a better place if young had a chance to see someone of color in the “White” House. I have like to see a man of color or female. This however dosn’t leave move for any of us to go through four more years of Clinton LIES.

If your students learn better when they see their own face, hold up a mirror for them in class.
The absurdity of your assertion, then to ask an entire nation to vote for a man with next to no qualifications in character or policy to the office of president simply on his colour alone (then you hint a different sex would be fine too?)is hysterically naive.
Let’s get this right..kids learn better “when they see their own face”, therefore, vote for a black president, simply because he’s black or if not..a woman? I’m sorry, I must have missed a step in your argument.
Your connect the dots “logic” and entreaties are testament enough to vote contrary to your recommendation.
By the way Tammy..I hope you’re not teaching English.

The GDP finished positive for the last quarter of 2007, and just today, it was announced that the economy improved by 0.6%. Umemployment remains at around 5%. NONE of these are indicators of a recession. It may become one, it’s isn’t one now.
Needed to clarify, the economy rose 0.6% THIS quarter. The clarification is important because you need two down quarters in a row to start asserting a recession.

Tel: you are missing the point. This is not an issue over semantics.
The Federal Reserve has responded to potential slow downs by lowering the target Federal funds rate during recessions and other periods of lower growth. In fact, the Federal Reserve’s lowering has even predated recent recessions. If you look at what most economists say, they point out that cuts in the Federal funds rate are now widely anticipated; thus, cuts are no longer followed by a longer-term rise in stock market indexes.
The declining frequency of recessions in the past two decades and the reduction in declines in GDP suggest that the Federal Reserve has been successful in moderating contractions. But don’t forget, reducing the Federal funds rate has had the effect of adding too much liquidity to the financial markets.
Guess what, approximately one hour ago on FOX news they just announced that the Federal Interest rate was lowered.
Here is my point, don’t believe everything you hear (especially on F_X). So when McCain tels you that the economy is recovering, have a little skepticism.
