Senator Obama had originally offered April 19th, but the Clinton campaign objected to it because it was a Jewish holiday. Apparently no one in the Obama campaign considered this. “Objected to” for a valid reason is not equivalent to “refused.”

Of course, after the Gibson / Stephanopoulos debate, Obama was not at all eager to participate again in anything resembling a debate.

His excuse that he would prefer to ‘talk to voters; is specious: 10 million people viewed the last debate. Apparently people are interested. Even those who might vote.

Of course, at a debate, he will miss the adoring crowd, the superstar reception, the ready acceptance of whatever facile bromides he has to offer.

And at a debate he would have to show that he is prepared to lead this country.

Senator Obama has much in common with Sanjaya: both had many votes in the early going, both were good-looking and ambitious, and they both were able to glide through the early contests while offering a lower standard of performance. Eventually though, Sanjaya’s cute looks and great hair could not sustain him. Critical judgement is now, finally, being passed upon Obama, and his ambition alone will not sustain him.

Let us not forget basics: “I will serve out my full six year term.”

- Hillary seems to have forgotten that it is Bill Clinton who has received $15 million dollars over the past 6 years from the company which represents the muslim leader of Dubai. ($The 15 million dollars form the muslim leader of Dubai, went into her joint bank account with her husband.)

- Hillary keeps forgetting that both she and Bill are hiding, and refuse to explain what they did to get that $15 million dollars form the muslim leader of Dubai.

- Hillary Clinton’s also seem to have forgotten that her top campaign advisers and strongest supporters are registered lobbyists for foreign governments and corporations. Lobbyist who are getting money from these foreign governments, and corporations to promote deals which are AGAINST the interests of the American people. Lobbyist like Mark Penn who was receiving $300,000 dollars from Columbia to promote a trade deal that Hillary “claims ” she is against.
Hillary “claims” she is against outsourcing of jobs, while lobbyist working for her like Glover Park were paid $120,000 to push for a Defense Department award to the French company Airbus. Another lobbyist , Jack Quinn also received $600,000 for pushing that deal.

- Hillary seems to have forgotten that while she and Bill Clinton were in the White House, Hillary hosted a party where she invited, (as terrorism expert Steve Emerson noted in the Wall Street Journal “Curiously, nearly all of the leaders with whom Mrs. Clinton elected to meet came from Islamic fundamentalist organizations.”

- Hillary seems to have forgotten that when she ran for her New York Senate seat, the American Muslim Alliance’s Massachusetts Chapter, the ones she had invited to the White House held a very successful fundraiser for her candidacy, in which Hillary received a $50,000 donation.
